Bascially if you don’t know, Paimon’s had a lot of weirdly slightly out of character/insulting lines about the names of Sumeru characters/Aranara/and has insulted Sumeru food too. 💀 And she’s never said any of that about any other country that we’ve been to before, like it’s especially weird PAIMON of all people insulting FOOD.

It’s givingggg… racism. Or at least culturally offensive.

So anyway, these are all from memory or vague impressions of what she’s said, as I can’t find the exact voicelines!

Literally can feel the jaw drops of the Aranara that was trying to introduce themselves, and Paimon herself as she sputters,

the blonde traveler has like, completely turned around to, y’know, cough (laugh their ass off)

Oh you never let that shit slide, much to the amusement (and honestly a little respect) from all of Sumeru residents

When Paimon struggles to pronounce names, you just immediately start sounding it out reallllyyy slowly, to the point of like- taking a couple of seconds for each syllable lmao

“Don’t worry Paimon, I’ll help you out since you’re brain is too little to understand words. Alllll- TTTTTTeeeeee- nnnnaaaahhhhh- rrrrrriiiiii-” (Al-Tighnari)

Tighnari was seconds away from launching a nuclear war of a comeback before you just did this again, and he just crossed his arms and smiled happily and waited on you too lmao

it drives Paimon up the wall (up in the air?) bc u refuse to be interrupted by her or stop sounding it out until she stops talking lol

(which took about 3-4 shitty comments from her, which almost ruined peoples’ first impression of you guys, before she stopped completely thank fuck)

Which is honestly insane to you, and you genuinely thought something was wrong with her for a minute when she looked a little disgusted at the Pita Pockets

You guys had been eating with a couple of allogenes, Alhaitham, Kaveh, (who took some time off to hang out) Tighnari (who was visiting for the day), and Cyno, (who’d also made some time off to hang out with you)

Tighnari just continues to eat his food, and barely twitches an ear at Paimon’s comments, he already knows what’s coming lol

Kaveh starts to get a little red in the face, and Alhaitham and Cyno don’t change expression at all, simply watching

Right as Kaveh begins to say, “Listen here-!!!”

You just interrupt quickly, snatching Paimon’s plate from in front of her and dumping it on yours,

“Paimon if you ever make another disrespectful little comment about the food or anyone’s names or any other shit about Sumeru, I will clap you so fucking hard out the sky you’ll be crawling through Sumeru City trying to keep up with us. Shut up.”

And just drop the empty plate back in front of her, and continue to eat, best not to give her too much attention actually, in case thats all she wants

The traveler was just like 😭😭

Alhaitham just like, turns away to laugh into his fist, Kaveh’s still in literal shock, mouth open and everything 😭 that was the fastest comeback he’s ever heard, yknow obviously, so he’s like- still processing-

Cyno just smiles a little and his eyes are nearly sparkling as he watches you lol

It’s a unanimous thought that nearly every allogene who hears your speech, especially the Sumeru ones who’ve heard you sass Paimon already,

want to watch you just destroy someone verbally so they can hear more of how you’d say it/how clean a cut simple speech can be, just downright violating the opponents lmao

It had been EJ’s fault, of course, that Nini stormed off stage and promptly disappeared from the face of the earth. Gina would like to give EJ the benefit of the doubt and say he wasn’t trying to get under her skin, but there’s been a broiling feud between him and Nini since their short-lived relationship last summer. EJ probably hadn’t meant for Nini to vanish entirely, but that’s what had happened all the same. And until Nini is found and apologies are doled out, Gina will be placing the blame on his head.

nini runs off during a tech week rehearsal. gina finds her and they agree to face their fears of the future together.

Find the Word Tag Game

I’ve been tagged by @on-noon to find the words they chose for me in any of my current WIPs and post the line/passage where I found each one. Thank you for the tag, and for the challenge! I definitely need to write more of my original works, because I found most of these in fanfics.

My words were: hoping, fit, home, caught, and compare

I found hoping in my Danny Phantom oneshot “Lingering Scars”:

"Going on with what? If you haven't noticed, Jazz, there's a lot going on all the time in this town. In this family. In my life. You're gonna have to be a little more specific."

"With you! With these stains! This is clearly blood from that huge scratch you got the last time you were trying to train Cujo, but you told me that already healed and I haven't seen you wincing at the dinner table once lately! I know you've done laundry since then, too, it's been at least a month. So why is there a stain? Why are you hurt in the same place, to the same degree, when I can't see any evidence that you're hurt! At all! What's going on with you?" Jazz is nearly out of breath by the time she finishes her questions. Her arms can't seem to settle on being crossed in front of her chest or flailed out in the direction of Danny's laundry.

"You... noticed all that?" Danny asks quietly, muttering a curse to himself and hoping Dani doesn't hear.

I found fit in a rough draft of my Given oneshot “Present Tense”:

There's a person. For the first time in what feels like a very long time, and no time at all, there's a person on the beach with him. Their back is turned to him, but their features keep… shifting. They’re wearing a strange uniform, that looks in turns like the one he used to wear in middle school and the one he wears now as a high schooler. It doesn't quite fit on their body, either. Maybe a girl wearing a boy's uniform that’s too big for her? Or a boy who's grown too quickly and made his clothes too small? Somehow, it's almost both. Neither. Why would anyone other than him be in a place like this, wearing clothes that keep changing on their own? The question doesn't stay in his mind long.

I found home in my novel WIP “To Be Honest”:

Their family had searched. An assistant sent by the Shepherd family had searched. Micah himself had gone out into the wilderness beyond his home time and time again, just like tonight, and that last question had never been answered. The questions of where Asher and David had gone, whether they'd lived or died, whether they blame him even now -- none of those have ever been answered. So why, when he finally gets a chance to ask someone who was actually involved, is Micah in this situation? Why is David insisting that Micah is trying to ask something else? What went wrong?

I found caught in “Lingering Scars” again:

"If you don't tell us why you're hurt, Danny, I swear I'll --!" she has her threats primed for him and everything. No mercy. No delay. Fenton through and through. Caught between terrifying a kid who's already been through too much and being hunted for sport by a Fenton who's been dabbling in ghost hunting her whole life.

I also found compare(d) in “Lingering Scars”:

For the first time since they'd started talking, the cold in Danny starts to ease. Settle back into its usual place. His blood always runs a little chilly, and he's always half-conscious of that nebulous space inside him where it all pools together, but it changes when he's scared. The intensity difference between the normal state of the ice powers that live in him and the literal fight-flight-or-freeze version of them can't possibly be compared. His whole body relaxes when it goes back to normal.

Okay so since Wyatt canonically has at least a godmother, I was thinking about who everyone’s godparents would be and came to some conclusions.

Wyatt: Paige (canon) and either Victor or Darryl. My initial thought was Darryl, but I think Victor gets it after tackling a demon while stabbed.

Chris: honestly, probably none. Initially would have been Darryl and Sheila, but the whole Darryl/sisters fiasco happened at the same time so I don’t think it’d have happened. I’m vetoing Phoebe just bc I feel uncomfortable having her be the godmother when she said some sketchy shit to/about Chris, and I feel like it’d have been too awkward if Piper asked Paige again. His godfather could be Victor admittedly, but uhhh, with the timeline of everything going on, I don’t think it’d have come up soon enough.

Melinda: could be anyone honestly, especially since Piper never really landed on having actual friends. I’d guess her godmother could be Phoebe since Paige was Wyatt’s, but could also be Darryl and Sheila. Although you remember Derek from Little Monsters? Going with the idea his kid is best friends with Wyatt and Derek and Leo become friends, Derek could be her godfather.

Peyton (Phoebe’s oldest): Elise and Leo, definitely. Phoebe was the daughter she never had and they had a good friendship, so Elise was definitely the godmother of at least one of her daughters. Again, the sisters have like no male friends, but I think that Phoebe would’ve wanted Leo as her daughter’s godfather.

Parker: Billie as her godmother, but not totally sold on who the godfather would be. Maybe Henry? By the time that Parker’s born, I feel like Coop could have grown closer to Henry and again, the sisters don’t have male friends. Billie and Henry, yeah that works.

Patience (Phoebe’s youngest): Another instance of uhhh, idk. Either Paige or Piper would end up as the godmother and the godfather would probably be Darryl. Look, she’s the youngest of all of them and we’re kind of out of combos at this point.

Charlotte and Penny (Paige’s twins): they’re born at the same time, so they get paired together. You can switch who gets which set, but I think that one of them has Darryl and Sheila as godparents. The other one has Piper as a godmother and maybe Coop as a godfather? Alternatively, y’know Derek from Little Monsters and how we all headcanon his kid being bffs with Wyatt? I’m just saying, he and Henry could become friends so alternative suggestion.

Henry Mitchell Jr.: still unsure on if I’m making him mortal or not, but Victor’s his godfather. a) if he is mortal, Victor’s someone who’d understand that. But from Paige and Henry’s side, it’s the idea that Victor basically treated Paige like another daughter and bonded with Henry as a mortal who was married to a Warren witch. For godmother, again, they don’t have friends so maybe Phoebe? Or Billie, since she was originally Paige’s charge.

+BONUS: Sebastian (half-manticore baby): Piper and Leo are his godparents. Piper helped save him and Leo saved Derek’s life.
