Okay but I love Sebastian's combat dialogue and I am convinced people who say he's uptight have never actually taken him out in combat. This man is trying SO HARD to be serious and devout and faithful, and he mostly manages it, right up until the second he gets to Do Rogue Shit, at which point he becomes a complete madlad. That's when you see the pre-Chantry Sebastian, who was so wild that his parents had to send him to bible camp to calm the fuck down.

I just love how Fenris and Anders specifically subvert the expectations for their classes? Fenris is your two-handed weapon tank warrior and his combat dialogue is quiet, reserved, and acerbic. He is so chill. So calm. I am confident you could take his pulse after a battle and it would barely be elevated. He's not raging, he's not angry, he's just doing a task that's in front of him calmly and effectively.

Meanwhile, Anders, who is supposed to be your healer, your educated mage, who stays on the sidelines and provides range support, is the one screaming and taunting and really really enjoying hitting people with fireballs. You can hear the mad glee in his voice. This is a man who wants to watch the world burn. And he is your healer.

no because it’s really really important to me that in a world where we’re so used to the heroes punching and shooting their way to victory, thunderbolts* went out of its way to show us that the void is still very much a part of bob, and bob is their friend, so they’re going to accept every facet of who he is and give him a soft place to land, even if that means they’ll have to be the ones to pull him back from the darkness every single time. because that’s what friends family will do for each other, no questions asked.
