Being guildmaster is something he takes great pride in, although he knows he is only so good at it because he has the support of people like Rogue and Minerva
He already finds it very hard to concentrate on paperwork when there are so many cool things out there and his guild is having fun partying or relaxing in their new pool
Which is how he would end up holed up in his office desperately trying to get himself to concentrate on the task at hand.
Digging himself out of all the backed-up paperwork that hadn’t been deemed important enough to be a same day issue.
Funny that those projects and paperwork which wasn’t really needing to be dealt with for another two-three weeks suddenly were all due at once
Rogue had been tasked (by Minerva) with letting the guild members know he was not to be disturbed for anything, even the guild burning down (Rogue could handle that without Sting's help).
The members were on their best behavior too! Trying so hard not to disturb but to also be helpful, like delivering the finished mail for him, or leaving snacks at the door with a tiny knock. (I think they forget about his sharpened senses because yes Orga he sees and smells you hiding behind that thin ass pillar at the other end of the hall)
Sting feels even more determined with all of them being so kind and helpful to him, especially you
Your willingness to sit beside him and carefully help sort the paperwork, file it away or arrange it to be sent out in the mail was making this process so much faster. He could tell you had teamed up with Minerva to find out exactly what she as financial and aid needed from him because before she could do it you were already guiding Sting to the next document she needed him to address
Thus after three days with late nights and early mornings the end was nearly in sight
The budget for the festival was making his eyes swim as he tried to allot the right amounts where, and Minerva herself had stepped out to take care of a time sensitive task for him when your “help” suddenly became “hindering”
“I am working babe” He would whine and pout a bit trying to ignore you sitting on his desk and moving in closer to him, a tactic that normally had him jumping into your arms or pulling you into his lap with a laugh
Sting was such a good boyfriend he always put your needs first whenever he could, and that included entertainment or cuddles…yet another reason he may have fallen a bit behind because even after your needs were met he overindulged himself in spoiling you
Your pout and little cooes and pleas for just a few minutes made him whine louder looking distraught
How could you do this to him? Puppy pout when he was trying his best to be good and do everything so he could in fact indulge himself all he wanted in your magnificent presence?
Did you wear his clothes too knowing how that made him melt even more for you? This had to be a plot, you waited until Minerva and Rogue had stepped away to pull this.
“Please?” He would whimper and beg, eyeing you desperately wanting nothing more than to tackle you for cuddles and a nap, or some kisses “I just have a bit more, I need to…just a bit longer…”
It was his downfall, the minute his eyes glanced at your lips he knew it was over
Crashing your lips together in an exhausted but needy kiss Sting was quickly falling into your trap
Looping his arms around your waist, hugging you as he leaned up out of his seat to reach your lips for the kisses he’d been longing for.
Sting's exhaustion would hit him all at once and despite kissing you like a man who would drown without air, his body went slack leaning against you to stay up. Sunken eyes closing as he surrendered to the bliss of your taste
Minerva would be fuming when she came back but right now he just needed to lean into you as you sat on his desk before him and steal as many kisses as he could before falling asleep
Her anger would melt though when she saw only a few small things left, and the soft way you were stroking his hair as he used your lap as a pillow
Maybe a small nap couldn’t hurt, she could also maybe use one
Sure enough, Sting did still finish his paperwork that night
Lastly, he made sure to pay you back for interrupting and distracting him like that too ;)
From that day on Sting however, would request your kisses as a reward and a “rejuvenating spell” whenever he needed to do paperwork
Though skeptical of the method Minerva and Rogue were both relieved that paperwork never truly piled up anymore they guess they could say it’s “working”

The Loneliest (Fairy Tail fanfic)
Summary: A look into Lucy's life during the year when Fairy Tail was disbanded and how she coped with it all. ONESHOT
Read here (ff) hopefully the link works, its been giving me a hard time
From an outsider's perspective, Lucy moved on quickly from seeing her future self die. That was the farthest thing from the truth. Quickly after future Lucy's death, she didn't have time to sit and process what happened. It wasn't until Natsu left that the dam keeping her sanity in check broke down. Lucy became ridden with grief. Everything that had transpired since the Grand Magic Games was too much to deal with alone. With no one to lean on since the guild disbanded and everyone went their separate ways, Lucy had to learn how to cope.
A month-long depression slump took over. Lucy dipped into her savings. She was officially unemployed. Unable to get any jobs since she didn't belong to a guild. Lucy knew she could join a different guild, but was too sad to do anything else besides rot in bed.
Her eyes wouldn't stop producing tears. She was sick of crying, but that's all she could do.
Shortly after, the nightmares began. So, Lucy left Magnolia. She figured that leaving would help. Lucy arrived in Crocus exactly two months after Fairy Tail disbanded. The irony of having a fresh new start on the day when her world collapsed on her.
Relocating did not help the nightmares.
Lucy was forced to watch herself die repeatedly. Each nightmare would be sicker than the last. It got to where it was no longer future Lucy dying, but her. If she wasn't watching herself die, her subconscious would remind her of her loss of Aquarius.
She felt like she was going crazy. There are only so many times Lucy could have the same nightmare over and over before it affected her sleep. She no longer felt safe going to sleep.
Sleep was a way Lucy would escape her reality. She didn't have to face losing everything she cared for.
She thought about confining in her celestial spirits, but didn't want to burden them. What if they became fed up with her and left her like everyone else? Lucy would respect their decision if they wanted to leave their contracts. However, she couldn't bear the thought of being left truly alone and so she hid the truth from them.
Slowly but surely, Lucy went on autopilot. Her savings account was getting smaller and smaller. If she didn't do something soon, she'd end up on the streets. It was by pure luck that she ran into Jason from Sorcerer Weekly. With no professional writing experience, they hired her as a model, still, Lucy would go into the office just to help with mundane tasks. That all happened three months after Fairy Tail's disbandment. Lucy was thankful that Jason didn't ask for the details about what happened.
Lucy kept her Fairy Tail tattoo, unable to bring herself to get rid of it. The photo editors at Sorcerer Weekly would make sure it didn't show up in photos.
Having a job turned out to be a good thing, now her thoughts didn't center on Fairy Tail 24/7. Unfortunately, the nightmares progressed to sleep paralysis. But Lucy forced herself to sleep. Besides, she had a reason to get up in the mornings now.
It was four months later that she finally dared to start opening her gates again. She summoned only her silver keys. She still could not call on any of her zodiac celestial spirits. Plue was one she started summoning again. His presence was calming, and he served as a tiny and adorable distraction. He was also one of her few spirits that wouldn't pry.
Of course, it all came to a halt when Loke opened his gate. She felt it coming before he even materialized in front of her. They were connected, after all.
"Loke!" Lucy tried to play his presence off, "What's up?"
"Lucy," Loke went to sit on her bed where she was, "Tell me what's wrong."
The tears came out on their own, and she finally crumbled. She must've cried for an hour straight and Loke just held her, offering her comforting words. "I'm sorry," Lucy whispered into Loke's lapel. While she had a breakdown in front of him, Lucy still was unsure of opening up to him. "I don't want to be a burden," she mumbled, unable to meet his eyes.
Loke placed his hand under her chin, forcing them to make eye contact. "Lucy, nothing that involves you will ever be a burden. You have my loyalty, not only as a spirit, but as a friend."
This was the reassurance she needed. Lucy told her friend everything that happened and the toll it's taken on her.
"I don't know for how much longer I can keep this going," Lucy confessed.
That night Loke didn't go back to the spirit world. Instead, he kept watch over Lucy while she slept. "I promise I'll wake you up if it looks like you're having a nightmare."
They kept that routine up for a week, and Lucy's mood had significantly improved. She also started journaling again, right before Loke showed up. While they might've been friends, journaling is something Lucy enjoyed doing privately.
Newfound abandonment issues made it difficult for Lucy to make any new friends while in Crocus, despite her living in the city for 3 months. Loke suggested Lucy call on all her celestial spirits. Informing Lucy that they missed her and didn't care about not having an actual mission.
"Princess," Virgo interrupted Lucy's process of selecting lemons. Ever since Loke's suggestion, Lucy started summoning her spirits to keep her company while she ran mundane tasks. Sure, she usually had Plue, but Lucy realized she missed having someone to talk with. Today, she brought Virgo to the market. "Have you thought of training again?"
Lucy dropped the lemon she was feeling. The question had caught Lucy off guard. Virgo bent down to place it back in its basket. Lucy took a deep breath to calm herself down. "No, I haven't."
"Well, we've been talking and-" Before Virgo could continue talking, Lucy interrupted her. "Virgo, please drop it."
Lucy regretted her choice of words as soon as she saw the glint in Virgo's eyes, "Please punish me!" she announced, kneeling and bringing her head to the floor. Lucy wished she could've melted into the floor right then and there. She forgot the embarrassment Virgo subjected her to.
"Virgo," Lucy whined, getting the celestial spirit off the floor so people would stop looking at them. "I'll think about it," Lucy promises.
"Really?!" Virgo flashed her a smile and vanished into the air. She went back to the celestial world.
Virgo's giddy reaction was enough for Lucy to make her mind up. While she was not an employed wizard, that didn't mean she couldn't train to become stronger.
On her days off, Lucy would go to the outskirts of Crocus to train. She couldn't help but daydream of her and Natsu training together. She doesn't think she will ever understand why he had to leave her behind. Did he think her weakness would drag him down? She used that thought as motivation to train harder. She learned how to combine two star dresses and could summon two spirits at once. Her physical strength also increased.
Life seemed to go back to "normal" after six months. Her mental health had drastically improved. While she still had nightmares, they weren't as frequent as they were before. The sleep paralysis became a thing of the past, Loke had stopped keeping watch at night, and her sleeping pattern was back to normal.
That's when she decided to start looking for her former guildmates and asked Jason if she could work in the editorial department. Lucy went from an in-house model to an apprentice journalist. Using her work privileges, she managed to track down most of the guild. Some members were easier than others. Wendy joined Lamia Scale, which didn't take any investigating. The Sky Sisters is what Wendy and Sherria called their team, Sorcerer Weekly dedicated a whole cover story to them. Levy, Gajeel, and Panther Lily were all Magic Council officers, and therefore their employment was semi-public. Natsu and Erza seemed to disappear off the face of the earth. No leads, no nothing. She would say dead ends, but there was nothing to start with.
Her hyper-fixation and promotion kept her busier than the modeling did. It didn't hurt that there was a pay increase with her new title.
Of course, there were still days when Lucy was down in the dumps, but compared to where she started, it wasn't bad. She tried not to let herself focus too much on the fact that she couldn't find anything on Natsu. Her nightmares started turning into ones where Natsu would die and Lucy couldn't do anything about it. If she didn't know any better, she would let those ideas eat her alive, but this was Natsu. She had to have faith in him and his ability.
By month nine, Lucy had an entire board dedicated to the tracking of her guildmates. Sometimes she wondered if anyone would ever reach out to her. It wasn't like Lucy was that hard to had been a featured model for Sorcerer Weekly a ton. Her name was even written in the credit section of the magazine. It was hard for Lucy not to take it to heart. She began to wonder why she even started tracking them. A part of her hoped they could all be a family again. She felt silly for being so optimistic about everything.
Soon enough, Jason started taking her outside of Crocus with him to cover stories. Her writing had improved thanks to his feedback.
That's how she found herself at Sabertooth. Jason was interviewing their guild master, Sting. Lucy was there to support Jason and anything he needed. That's when Sting dropped the big news that Sabertooth would not be joining the Grand Magic Games this year.
"How come?" Jason inquired.
Sting shot Lucy an awkward look at Lucy before turning back to Jason, "Because Fairy Tail won't be joining."
The mention of Fairy Tail had tugged at Lucy's heartstrings. Tears threatened to come out, but Lucy composed herself. She was an apprentice journalist who dealt with different stories and had to learn how to get ahold of her emotions.
Sorcerer Weekly didn't shy away from talking about Fairy Tail. Whenever they interviewed a former member from Fairy Tail, the guild was always brought up. It happened with Wendy and the Thunder Legion. The real reason Fairy Tail disbanded was never revealed. Especially since Master Makarov forbade them from talking about it. Instead, the wizards would dance around the question.
Jason, being the good journalist he is, didn't drop the topic, but kept going, "What does that have to do with Sabertooth?"
"The challenge wouldn't be there and there's no fun in that." Sting shrugged and leaned back.
"Well," Jason announced, "That concludes the interview." Jason got up and shook Sting's hand, "Thanks for your time Sting-kun!"
It was Lucy's turn to say goodbye. "You know," Sting started, "we have two dragon slayers. It would be badass to have two celestial spirit wizards, too."
Lucy's heart skipped a beat. The life she could have in Sabertooth flashed before her eyes. She could start going on adventures again. Maybe she could even team up with Yukino, they could even come up with a cheesy team name like Wendy had done with Sherria. But the reality of having to start all over again set in. If she were to join a new guild, then why'd she go through all the trouble of tracking her former guildmates? How would Natsu feel when he got back to find her in a new guild? Did he even know of the guild's disbandment? She felt conflicted about the fact that she still considered his feelings.
"I appreciate the offer Sting, I do, but I don't think I'm ready for that."
Sting didn't try to hide his disappointment. "Damn, well, whenever you are, you know where to find us."
With the Grand Magic Games officially two months out, Sorcerer Weekly started planning. They'd be covering the entire thing, so it was better to get ahead of the game. Lucy learned that she would be going with Jason to the opening day.

Word Count: 450
A/N: It’s pretty short but it’s so sweet and cute. I hope you like it! Requests are open and love to all!

Tumblr media
Your POV
As I wander towards the Guild, pondering what chaos we could get up to today, I notice something bright at the top of its highest tower. The bright light then drops down to the back of the tiger statue that stands atop the main building. It’s then that I can see that it’s Sting. “Sting! What on earth are you doing up there?!” I yell.
“Listen here you little shit,” he yells back causing me to tilt my head in confusion and surprise, “I have feelings for you and it’s about time you acknowledge them.”
I can’t help the giant smile that grows on my face as I respond, “Okay, this is me acknowledging them! Now get down here so that you can acknowledge that I also have feelings for you!”
This causes him to excitedly bounce down the rest of the way and land on his feet in front of me, “Really?”
I laugh and nod my head, “Yes, you goofball.”
“So does that mean you’ll be mine?” he asks, a hopeful look overtaking his features. I nod my head so he pulls me into a hug, “Good.” When he finally pulls away, he grabs my hand and tugs me toward the Guild doors.
Sting and I make our way into the Guild Hall hand in hand and take a seat beside Rogue, Rufus, and Orga at the bar. Yukino joins us with a bright smile on her face, “So, who finally confessed?” she inquires motioning to mine and Sting’s interlocked hands.
Sting perks up and his already excited smile gets even bigger with a touch of pride added onto his features, “It was me, I made sure it was short and sweet.”
I roll my eyes and chuckle at my new boyfriend, “You climbed up to the top of the Guild Hall and yelled, ‘Listen here you little shit I have feelings for you and it’s about time you acknowledge them.’”
Rufus and Rogue both cringe. “I don’t think that’s how we suggested you confess,” Rogue muses with amusement written across his face.
“If my memory serves, and it always does, I believe our exact words were, ‘Just be yourself,’ and ‘Be romantic.’” Rufus adds.
Yukino giggles, “I’d say he definitely got the part down about being himself. I don’t know about romantic.”
Orga looks offended, “Of course that was romantic. Who wouldn’t want someone to confess their love for them from the rooftops?”
I laugh and shake my head, “It was perfect.”
Pleased, Sting wraps his arms around my waist and rests his chin on my shoulder before pressing a quick kiss to my cheek, “I love you.”
I chuckle, “I love you too, goofball.”

Lucy groaned, feeling her head throb with a foreign pain that weighed her down and shook her vision. She tried to open her eyes, the slightest bit of light from the street lamps worsening her pain.
She lolled her head to the side, her hand scrunching the clod grass at her side.
"Dude, what the fuck? You know we can't be grabbing just anyone off the street! Minerva's gonna kick your ass if she hears that some mortal saw you!" One voice whispered harshly, the other one whining as he was hit somewhere on his person.
"Come on, Rogue, you know I'm more careful than that!" The other shot back.
"Just hurry up, Sting. I'll keep a lookout."
She felt her consciousness begin to slip away, the pain of her head injury too much to bear.
He lifted up her arm, Lucy too weak to stop him. She wanted to pull away, to run and find a busy street with someone who could help her.
She winced, his teeth biting into her skin, a burning sensation growing from his point of contact.
"Urgh! Eww, gross! A werewolf?! What the hell?!" He spat out, dropping her arm as the grass crunched under his shoes.
"What are you talking about?" The other quickly approaching them. "You didn't know you knocked out a fucking werewolf?"
"Does she smell like one?! There's no way I would've known!"
She felt someone crouch over her, his nose brushing against her cheek as he sniffed her.
"Smells human..."
"Taste it, that's wolf's blood, fucking nasty." He said, spitting out into the grass again.
She felt their tongue on her wound, hearing the small retch before he stood up.
"So? What's up with this chick?"
"We need to get out of here right now."
"Rogue, quit being vague, what's up?"
"She's not a wolf, she's been marked. And if he finds us, we're dead fucking meat."

Darkness (Stingue)
also available on ao3 :)
written for @comfortember day 30 - prompt: light at the end of the tunnel
Darkness had always frightened Rogue. There, in the shadow, he could feel something watching him, something waiting patiently for the right time to take control. This feeling had always terrified him and he had made a habit of never being alone in dark places for too long, lest his fears become reality.
However, since he had met Sting, this fear had started to fade. He was so bright that Rogue couldn't help but believe that with him by his side, he had no reason to be afraid. As long as they were together, Rogue knew he had nothing to fear.

Reunion
In the end, the only difference he’d been able to make was to leave a warning.
A final, desperate warning to someone who had considered him an enemy. Still, even after he’d fallen to the shadow, devoured his own light, some part of him had still trusted Natsu Dragneel. They’d been enemies, and he’d seen his own death in the other Dragon-slayer’s eyes when he’d almost killed the Lucy from this time and had killed the one from his own, but still, he trusted him.
Protect Frosch…
….and that will save everyone, that will save me…and Sting.
If he was honest, he was entirely sure that was true. The shadows had been there long before Frosch had been taken from him. Before Gray had destroyed part of his foundation and left him to crumble into the darkness. Would changing Frosch’s fate save him? Or would it just delay the inevitable? He wasn’t sure, and that scared him, and again it boiled down to truth…because Natsu as block-headed as he could be would remember, he would watch, because Rogue had become a threat to his friends, to Fairy Tail, and that was something the Fire Mage wouldn’t tolerate.
Trust, and time…that was all he had.
And it was too easy to start to doubt, to hear the whispers in the darkness of the limbo where he found himself, caught between the past he hadn’t been able to change like he’d wanted, and the future that he could no longer return to because it was in flux. Transformed by his own actions and by the possibility of Natsu’s choices and actions. Empty of everything but him, his memories and shifting, fleeting glimpses of time flowing around him. Minutes, hours, days and weeks… and with each that passed, the doubts grew a little larger, the whispers a little louder. You should have killed Lucy… should have stopped Natsu… Frosch will still die… You will still fall… why would he listen to your words? He had no arguments, and his mind was cruel, the whispering voice an echo of Sting’s soft, broken voice at the end of things. Rogue? Why are you doing this? Rogue?! To hear him again was a blessing and a curse, and the shadows pressed closer, and time pressed onwards.
It had been too long.
If he was honest, he had long since lost any awareness of how long he’d been trapped here. Was it close to the day that Frosch died? Had that day already passed him by? Had Natsu failed, had he forgotten… had he let Frosch die? All he knew was that the darkness was everywhere, infinite and eternal, and he didn’t know what that meant for the world he’d tried so hard to save.
Frosch. Sting. Me…
More days.
More darkness.
More whispering doubts, until he thought he would go mad with them. Maybe that was to be his punishment, perhaps that was what this ghost of Sting that haunted his mind and whispered continually in his ears now wanted. Was this it? Was this all he would ever know? A slow encroaching madness… would he even know when he had gone mad? Maybe he already had, and these moments of lucidity and memory, and questioning were mere illusions of a mind gone to ruin.
*
Light.
There was light…
The darkness had been so absolute for so long that there was no way for him to miss the change. It began slowly, a subtle greying of the shadows around him, painful on his eyes after so long even as muted as it was, and he was forced to close his eyes. Still, he could feel the light on his skin, could see it growing through his eyelids. Light. Sunlight? No, there was no warmth against his skin, no stirring of air to suggest he was being pulled out of this in-between place, but there was light, white and bright, eyes burning even while closed.
“Rogue…” A voice, soft and warm, and oh so familiar and he couldn’t breathe. All he’d had for so long was the broken whisper, to hear that voice now as it was meant to be, strong and loving, alive in ways that it hadn’t been in far too long, hurt worse more than the light pressing in on him and he shook his head. He wouldn’t hope, wouldn’t let himself be tricked. He must’ve gone mad, the light the voice the product of a mind pushed too far… But there was warmth now. Not from the light, but from the fingers brushing his face, tracing his marking with a tenderness that made his breath catch.
“…Sting?” He hadn’t meant to say it, to let himself hope, but his heart betrayed him, and the name slipped out, and there was a pause, and then chuckle, and lips brushing his. Just a fleeting kiss, but it felt as though the light was flooding him, pressing through his body and he couldn’t stop his eyes from flying open, and it was so bright, too bright, and yet the radiance that filled what had been darkness before paled compared to the figure in front of him as Sting smiled at him.
Protect Frosch…
….and that will save everyone, that will save me…and Sting.
Thank you, Natsu…

ShadowLight; Scents
With friends all over the country, Natsu had a difficult time keeping in touch with all of them. He would always make a special exception for his fellow Dragon Slayers, however. He had even taken the great sacrifice of travelling on a train just for the opportunity to come to their guildhall, a huge building placed on the outskirts of the area surrounding Crocus. Luckily, he was not to be disappointed by Sting’s excited reaction.
“It’s about time you came to Sabretooth!” Sting yelled with a laugh in his voice. “Have you seen our guild even has a pool? Pretty neat, right?”
“Nice!” Natsu said. Of course, the Fairy Tail pool was nicer, but it was good to see that Sabretooth had come so far in such a short space of time.
“Hey, where’s Rogue and Frosch?” Happy asked to his fellow exceed.
“They’ll be in the city centre,” Lector told him. “They heard you were coming and wanted to get things ready in case you wanted to stay the night.”
Sting gave a sheepish smile as he scratched his cheek. “We had guessed you probably didn’t want to try that journey again for the rest of the day…”
Natsu felt himself suddenly overcome by the kindness of the gesture. He was already reminded why it was important to spend time with those who shared both his powers and vices, and asked if they could find Rogue any sooner. Sting seemed strangely happy with that request, a beaming grin spreading across his face as he tugged Natsu by the shoulders and lead him out of the gates of Sabretooth and towards the main city of Crocus. They quickly moved away from the quieter streets of their guildhall and into the heart of the capital city, Sting leading by familiarity while Natsu vaguely followed the scents around. They both seemed equally ignited with energy while in between the huge crowds, an energy they shared as they searched for the quieter soul.
“Rogue! Rogue, look!” Frosch tugged on the shadow mage’s trousers, pointing towards the new guests, despite seeing little but legs around him. “Sting and Lector! And Natsu and Happy!”
“Already…?” Rogue hadn’t expected Natsu and Happy to arrive so early in the day, and he especially hadn’t expected their company in the middle of the city. There was still so much to do, but he couldn’t deny the blush on his face as he saw them. “I wasn’t going to be long,” he excused himself in place of a greeting. “You didn’t need to come out here.”
“I know. But we couldn’t wait,” Sting excused, putting a hand on Rogue’s shoulder as he leaned in closer. His lips pressed against Rogue’s, an affectionate welcome that an even wider smile to his face.
Usually, Sting’s light was so infectious that even Rogue wouldn’t have been able to shield himself from a bright smile. This time, there was something that held him back. Rogue’s eyes fell back to their honoured guest, wearing a deep-set frown on his face. He’d seen some fairly stupid expressions on Natsu’s face before, but nothing seemed quite like the wide eyed and gormless look he wore right now. That boy just couldn’t keep his emotions to himself. “Something wrong, Natsu?” Rogue asked, almost hissing the challenge.
Natsu’s mouth opened and closed several times. It was as if he could hear the hiss of his brain melting and gushing out of his ears. But he shook his head quickly, replacing his giant smile and giving a thumbs up. “Nope. Nope! All good here!” he insisted.
Sting stayed close to his partner, leaning over Rogue’s shoulder and tilting his head to Natsu. “He’s not from the big city; he’s probably never even seen a gay couple,” he teased gently.
“That’s not true!!” Natsu yelled, stomping his feet on the ground and ignoring the confused looks that so many passers-by were giving him. He frowned his angry glare at them both, wanting nothing more than to wipe that irritating smile off Sting’s face. “We have gay people in Magnolia. Just I thought you two were, you know… Brothers?”
Both Rogue and Sting blinked at him.
“Wait, what?”
“Like… actual brothers?”
“You’re called the twin dragon slayers, okay?!” Natsu explained, gesturing back at them both. “How was I supposed to know you weren’t actually twins!?”
It was taking all of Sting’s willpower not to burst out into loud and uncontrollable laughter. He had to throw his hand over his mouth and hide behind Rogue.
The shadow dragon slayer, however, just gave Natsu a long flat stare. “We look completely different,” he told him a monotone voice. “We have different surnames. We were raised by two different dragons. How does any of this make you think we’re brothers – twin brothers?”
Even Happy couldn’t stop himself from giggling, which only led Natsu to feeling more irritated than ever. “That’s just what everyone was calling you! And you smell really similar to each other!!”
That last sentence caught both Sting and Rogue a little off guard. So far, it had been the only vaguely compelling argument, but even that was completely flawed. “Natsu, of course we smell similar…” Rogue told him. “We’re a part of the same guild, we’ve trained together for years. Barely a day goes by when we aren’t in each other’s company. We’re bound to smell somewhat similar.”
“Exactly,” Sting agreed, moving back around and leaning his arm against Rogue’s shoulder. “You know you smell pretty similar to most of your guild, too.”
Natsu frowned, taking a step back. “Like hell I do!” he insisted forcefully. “I don’t smell anything like them!”
“Sure you do,” Sting said. “Especially the Ice Maker you’re always around.”
Natsu froze. All except for the twitching eye. His body just seemed to completely lock up into a statue. Even as Happy flew up to inspect him, Natsu barely even seemed to register. “I think you broke him,” Happy said, tapping Natsu on the side of the head and expecting to hear nothing but an echo inside.
No response for 3… 2… 1…
The blast of hot air suddenly erupted around the fire dragon slayer. If it wasn’t for the fact that Sting and Rogue were both so used to strange magical outbursts, they would have no doubt jumped back several feet. Before they could even begin to react or warn him that frightening the citizens of Crocus was generally frowned upon, Natsu had skidded on his heels and was storming away.
“Uh, Natsu?” Rogue blinked, wondering what had just happened.
“Where the hell are ya going??” Sting called after him.
Steam hissed from the top of Natsu’s head, the bright red blush on his face spreading across his whole body. “For a goddamn SHOWER,” he screamed out, disappearing into the crowds.
Sting was instantly back to holding back his laughter, a sadistic glimmer in his eyes as he saw the tiny plumes of smoke disappear onto the horizon. Rogue just frowned to himself. “Do you think we should warn him that we only smell so similar because we sleep together?” he asked.
Sting shook his head. “Nah, he’ll work it out for himself,” he told his lover, pressing a kiss on Rogue’s cheek.

Request: NaLu, Exercise/Workout
Title: A Far-Too Personal Trainer Prompt: Exercise/Workout Fandom: Fairy TailRelationships: Natsu/Lucy with some Sting/Rogue on the side. Also Sting and Lucy brotp. Characters: Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Sting Eucliffe, Rogue Cheney, and Levy McGardenSummary: Lucy signs up for a personal trainer and she doesn’t expect to get someone like Natsu Dragneel. (Nalu personal trainer au).
~
Lucy was really starting to hate her personal trainer. He was a rude, boundary crossing, asshole who wouldn’t give her a refund.
When she had first met Natsu, he had grabbed her and lifted her up off the ground as a way to tell how much she weighed and told her she was a little top heavy. Lucy had responded by telling him that he was a little bitch.
Strike two was when Natsu broke into her house, eaten all her chocolate ice cream, and then proceeded to tell her how unhealthy it was. Hypocrite much?
After that Lucy had tried to fire him and demanded a refund, but Natsu had already spent it all. How did a man with no self control become so toned?
The injustice of it all made Lucy want to stomp her feet and tell him to buzz off.
But she needed to lose weight and her murderous thoughts towards Natsu were just extra motivation. Once she got more physically fit she could kill him and all her problems would be solved.
At least that’s what Lucy told herself as she ran down the forest trail. The narrow path had been cut through the trees by people years ago, the ground flattened from all the joggers who had run down it. Beams of light filtered through the autumn leaves overheard, creating patterns on her skin. The whole place was perfect for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike, but Lucy was too winded to appreciate her surroundings.
Her shins ached and her sides cramped up, each heavy breath more labored than the last. Lucy was so drenched in sweat that her cute outfit didn’t even matter. She looked like hell. No, not looked like; She was hell.
“Come on Lucy!” Natsu called a few paces ahead of her, he turned around and started running backwards. Show off. “Only 5 more miles.”
“FIVE MILES?!” Lucy exclaimed and immediately regretted it from the way her body barked in protest.
Natsu only grinned in response and Lucy looked at the sky and prayed to whatever god was up there that he’d trip on a tree root and fall.
The jogging path sloped upwards and Lucy cursed. “I did not sign up for this shit!”
“Actually you did, and there are no refunds because I already spent it all on cat food.” Natsu reminded her.
If Lucy had the strength she would’ve tackled him off the forest trail. Now all she could do was imagine it. That daydream kept her going.
After what seemed like an eternity, they finally made it down the jogging path and back to the gym.
Levy greeted them with a welcome back from her spot at the front desk, the stack of paper in front of her so thick they almost couldn’t see the bluenette behind it.
Lucy barely managed a smile at the petite secretary. She went straight for the black padded stools, her vision tunneling at the prospect of being able to get off her aching feet.
She practically fell into the seat, her body collapsing underneath her.
“Did you have a good run?”
Lucy glared daggers at her cousin as he took a seat next to her. Sting was filing his nails, not a care in the world. “Remind me how you talked me into this?”
“Because we both wanted to lose weight and return to the blonde bombshells we were before college and ramen happened.” Sting responded, not even looking up from his work.
He kept seesawing the file across his fingers until his nails were perfectly shaped crescent moons; complimenting his sparkly nail polish. As extra as ever.
“Now I want ramen.” She banged her head on the counter. “Ugh, college.” She banged her head on the counter again, groaning miserably.
“Hey, you told me to remind you. If it’s any consolation I actually like my trainer.”
“Because you have hot, dark, and mysterious ponytail guy.” Lucy accused, looking past her cousin and into the window that showed the weights room.
Rogue was lifting weights, his hair pulled back in his signature ponytail. Lucy’s own scalp throbbed at the tight ponytail it was still in.
Sting sighed dreamily as Rogue curled his arms up and down, his muscles looking like they’d been sculpted into stone, even his sweat seemed to glisten.
“That’s not the reason, it’s just a benefit. I came here to work off all the weight I gained at Arby’s.” He shuddered. “Challenging Minerva to an eating contest was a mistake.”
“Speaking of Minerva, after all that shit she ate how does her figure still look perfect?” Lucy asked, frustrated with the unfairness.
“I KNOW RIGHT?! Is she doing some secret demon magic behind my back?”
“I’m down for demon magic if it’ll get me away from that guy.” She jabbed a thumb back at Natsu who was laughing with the other trainers as he waited in line to refill his hello kitty water bottle. It was official, Lucy had a man child for a fitness trainer.
“Natsu-san still won’t give you a refund?” Sting asked, trying to clamp down on a smile. He couldn’t help but be amused by his cousin’s recent misfortune.
People had ironically nicknamed her Lucky Lucy in high school because of her bad luck tendency. She always had something go wrong on every picture day, every first day of school, and every try-out. It was so depressing it was funny.
“He used my money to buy cat food. Cat food.”
“Well it ain’t your money anymore.” Natsu came up behind her. Lucy shrieked and fell off her stool.
“Hey Natsu-san.” Sting greeted cheerfully, not at all concerned about his cousin’s new seating arrangement on the floor.
“Hey Sting.“ He reached out his closed hand for a fist bump which the blond man gladly returned. “How’s your training going?”
Sting snickered. “Better than Lucy’s I’m guessing.”
Lucy raised her hand above the counter and gave him the finger.
“Yeah,” Natsu nodded his agreement. “She isn’t going to get anywhere is she keeps being lazy.”
“I can hear you!”
“That’s a habit she hadn’t been able to kick yet. At least she stopped biting her nails.” Her cousin raised his own perfect nails into view for emphasis.
“Does she still suck on her thumb?” Natsu asked.
Lucy stood up. “I’m leaving!”
“See you tomorrow! 7 am sharp!” Natsu called after her, waving goodbye.
“Bye cuz!” Sting blew a kiss after her. Lucy didn’t even pretend to catch it like she’d usually do, grabbing her bag and marching out the door.
Rude. Both of them.
~

16, 23, and 49: Merik, sterza, and graytear in that order 👀
So I had a ton of fun writing these! Especially the Sterza one, medieval AUs always give me life. Cutting it off after the Merik, otherwise thise post will be super long LMAO
Merik - “We aren’t even friends!”
“We aren’t even friends!” Erik growled out, pulling his arm from Meredy. “Now leave me alone, will you?” He took a sip of his bleach cocktail, very uninterested in the maguility mage. They were supposed to be scoping this dingy place out and as always, the maguility mage took things too far.
She was very drunk and very annoying, two things that shouldn’t be combined. “That’s not what you said last night,” she hiccuped, inching closer to him.
Erik sputtered and clasped his hand over Meredy’s mouth. In a low hiss, he whispered into her ear, “Watch your tongue, candy. I’m not in the mood to put up with this shit right now.” He shifted so no one could see them. He could barely see under the dim lights of the bar, but it didn’t mean that no one was watching.
He could feel her lithe tongue against his hand and he let go, wiping her saliva on her sleeve. Her blue eyes were dreamy, her body swaying to the beat. “Ok, ok. But you know Jelly said to keep an eye on me. And all you’ve been interested in is that putrid drink in front of you.” She sloppily gestured to the tonic.
But she was wrong. His single eye was always on her. And if he wasn’t, he was always hiding in the outskirts of her mind.
Sterza -“I will beat the title of ‘prince’ right the hell out of you!”
Erza was furious. This was the last time she would let Sting out of her sight. Anytime they were in public, he managed to slip away from her grasp. His escape always led him to trouble, whether it be with girls or getting into a fight.
She believed that as his bodyguard, (escort, or whatever you’d like to call it) she was supposed to be on duty until the king released her. And yet, she wished she could be kicked from this job. It was too much to look after the Prince of Fiore. And he wasn’t much fun to hang around either.
“Sting!” She called out, holding her hand over her mouth. “I will beat the title of ‘prince’ right the hell out of you! Get back here right this instant!”
A pair of hands were placed over her eyes and she fumed. Now was not the time to be playing games, “Remove your hands from my sight, you scoundrel.”
Though the body didn’t listen, Erza could feel her stomach drop ten stories. What a pervert! In one fell swoop, she turned and smashed her steel gloved hand against a familiar head of blonde hair.
“Ow!” Sting groaned, holding his head. “I was only trying to have some fun, princess of knights.” He teased, a familiar toothy grin growing on his face. “Lighten up a little, will ya? No one’s ever gonna give you a kiss if you act like this.”
At the mention of a kiss, Erza blushed. She couldn’t help it, but romantic affairs always made her so flustered. “I-I’ve gotten a kiss before. Don’t assume such things.”
Another thing, she was very bad at lying. She squirmed when Sting came closer, eyeing her with those sparkling blue eyes.
His toothy grin flared into a devious grin. “Oh yeah, then show me. Your future king demands it.”
He brought his face closer, puckering his lips obnoxiously. And the knight couldn’t help herself, she smacked him with her iron gauntlet. A third strike and Sting would have been down for the count.
He stumbled back, rubbing his face. “I should have expected that.”
“No kidding,” she said curtly. “Now, we have things to complete before the sun falls. No more games, prince.”
“Ugh… Being a prince is too much work.” He laughed his rejection off, but little did she know he would keep trying.
Graytear - “I’m begging you.”
He never expected Crime Sorciere to show up to the GMGs or be a part of the aftermath. Mostly because he didn’t want to see her. That violet haired woman, the daughter of his caretaker -Ultear. Her red orbs haunting him, following him into darkest fantasies or most joyous dreams. It infuriated him how much she was in his thoughts.
Gray had thought he would never see her after Tenrou, but here she was; fighting annoying dragon babies. These miniature versions of the real dragons kept coming in wave after wave. He was losing stamina, and he didn’t think he would last much longer. But Ultear kept him going, he couldn’t see her go down by them.
But then they got separated, Gray had been in search of Ultear ever since he noticed. But the more he looked, the more he felt time was running out for their sake.
“Ultear,” he called, his throat raw from yelling. The current commotion wasn’t in his throat’s favor, he ripped through those loud explosions and fights going on around him.
Was it possible, she got crushed by falling debris? He shook his head, stepping over rubble. That wasn’t possible, someone so strong would never receive that fate. Gripping his necklace, he prayed that it wouldn’t happen -that he would see the dark haired beauty one more time.
Rounding a corner, he could see the outline of a figure kneeling amongst the fallen walls of various buildings. “Ultear?” His voice a crisp whisper.
She stirred, those signature white bows glistening in the given light. He felt lighthearted to see her once again, hastily making his was through the crushed terrain. “I thought you… What happened?…” She looked past him, not focusing on him. “Are you ok?”
“Gray!” With a flick of her wrist, everything slowed. Hope had shone in those red eyes, but he knew he couldn’t be saved.
A burning sensation could be felt against his bare back, sending small waves of his pain. But then it became more concentrated, that searing heat coming drawn to his abdomen. Then it spread through him, his stomach torn from the beam of energy that him. A shot of blue escaping from his insides, blood spewing everywhere.
It felt like a lifetime as his body fell to the floor, he was dying. Ultear made quick work of those draconic-creatures, falling to her knees. “Gray,” she pulled his hand over the gaping hole, tears already rushing down her face. “Freeze it, please. We can fix this,” she sobbed.
But he wouldn’t comply, his magic reserves were gone. He grunted as he tried, not one drop of magic left. He wished he could see her smiling again, Gray didn’t want to see Ultear in a state such as this. “Go, Ultear. Go help everyone else, I’m just one person.”
She shook her head, pulling him into her lap. Everything began to go dark at that moment, the world becoming fuzzy. All he could see was light, bright and warm. Though screams of terror rung in his ears, and the sobbing of Ultear.
As he fell away, he could feel a greater power being drawn to him. Something from the bounds in which he could control. And from there everything reversed.
The next thing he knew, he awoke in a hospital bed. Those he called family, watching over his state. But he was just with Ultear, wasn’t he? He was supposed to be dead, unless everyone else succumbed to the dragons.
They were in relief to see him awake. Once he had eaten, they explained they found him unconscious on the battlefield, next to a white ribbon.
His window of reality was shattered in that moment. She did exactly what Ur did, sacrificed herself for him. But he couldn’t accept the fact, Gray was lost.
His time had ended with her.
