Greetings!!! So... A thought... you know the OSD Stone Sleep au...

OSDiff Stone Sleep.

Dream in a weakened state in an au seeped in negitivity last time that happened he turned to stone. And this time... well he might not fight it. He can feel it and just lets it happen he's sick, scared and in pain... maybe being a statue isn't so bad after all.

Someone coming in to check on him. One of the boys for guard duty or Nightmare himself only to find Dream laying there nothing more then a statue... he looks... peaceful...

Well uh... Congratulations on finding what must be the one of the most depressing endings that OSDiff could possibly have... Because wow that is a sad idea you have come up with, my friend.

Of course I am very aware of the OSD Stone!Sleep AU by @calcium-cat but an OSDiff version?!

Where to begin...

First off... THE FACT DREAM JUST LETS IT HAPPEN??? Like WHOA that is so angsty and so dang sad... The idea Dream has just completely given up after what Nightmare has done so decides he's better off as a stone statue... YIKES!!! I will say tho that while OSDiff Dream is in a pretty poor state right now in the fanfic, I don't believe he has quite gotten to THIS level of despondence... He has some hope still (believe it or not) it's just buried underneath all the pain of what Nightmare just put him through. But for the sake of this AU, yes I am willing to accept that Dream is at the absolute lowest point he can go and thus decides he's better off as a statue.... The poor thing :/.

I still can't decide whether I'd prefer if its one of the boys who discovers Dream's statue or Nightmare himself. Because the boys discovering it first could lead to a scene where Nightmare is contemplating his actions from the Prologue in his office (think start of Chapter 1) and instead of Cross telling Nightmare he's sick, Dream is already a statue and Nightmare can do nothing but rush down to the dungeon to see for himself. So many emotions go through Nightmare's mind as he sees his statue there, confusion at first, denial and of course anger. This wasn't supposed to happen like this. He wasn't finished with Dream yet! He was still meant to be suffering, but instead he had chosen to turn back into a statue to avoid his wrath?! No... That wasn't fair to him! He had been planning this for so long, yet Dream had to go and ruin it just like that?! How could he do that to him?! Why did nothing ever work out the way he intended it too?! Now he'll never get his revenge on Dream... He'll never find peace or happiness. He stares at the statue for a while, lost in his own spiralling thoughts before he finally moves it to one of his tower rooms, locking the door behind him.

The most important thing to remember about this particular OSDiff Nightmare (and probably one of his most tragic traits) is that in this timeline, Dream's sudden change into a statue doesn't allow him to go through the character growth he would have gone through in the normal OSDiff timeline, meaning he is not yet at the point where he would want to mourn Dream or regret his actions despite what's happened. There is no connection, bonding or talking between brothers in this timeline, which leads this Nightmare to shove Dream to an almost untouched section of the hideout where Nightmare can simply attempt to forget about him. He's buried but still there, shoved to a section of the castle, just like the grief and loss shoved to the corner of his mind. Dream turning to stone is definitely a tragic aspect of this AU, but I also find Nightmare's lack of character growth and the fact he's never able to regret his actions just as tragic. He'd be lucky to ever feel true happiness again after Dream turns to stone in that timeline...

I swear I have so many ideas for this AU, especially because it has so much potential, but I just have no time to write them ugh :'(. If any of you wanna write your take on this scenario, though please feel free I would absolutely love to see that.

Your mer stobotnik au was in my dreams last night! I don’t remember it a ton but they discovered a comfortable way for both of them to cuddle more often and Robotnik was being sappy it was adorable! I just thought it would be fun to share with you that your AU’s live in my head rent free <3 lolol

They get to cuddle/sleep together a lot actually! Robotnik does sleep in the lab, usually just falling asleep wherever he's working, and since he's usually working with Stone, it's not strange for him to pass out partially submerged in water. (He's always wearing his wetsuit under his clothes, so it's pretty comfortable.) Stone is aggressively cuddly, so Robotnik usually doesn't have much say in the matter. He secretly likes it.

They usually wind up in some weird position with Robotnik being crushed. The downsides of having a merman bf ƪ(ツ)∫

Eventually it's him and Brooke spending long nights at the museum. Jake's gotten into the habit, and Brooke teases him about how all this time has past and he still hasn't changed. She supposes having company keeps him sane. It keeps her sane. She doesn't want to be alone in their home (as if that's actually home. She can't find it in her to call that home because it's not. It's just the place they live because their home is in these boxes Jake surrounds himself in. Home is the fleeting memory of soft curls and brown eyes, home is the ghost of her lips on her neck/forehead/hand/lips)

Soulmates AU in which when your soulmate is in a situation that can result in their death you get to see through their eyes. Like, I don't know how to explain this- it kind of flashes between what you see and what your soulmate sees. You know those edits where there's a scene going on and there's another one faded in the background happening at the same time? Similar to that. The idea is that you get to see what your soulmate sees too, on top of what you're seeing.

Now, this AU but JeanMarco. With Marco asking the others where's Jean, just for him to start seeing a corpse right in front of his eyes not even a second after asking. Seeing through Jean's eyes as he's trying to get hold of that gear and stuff. And once Jean's safe, once it clicks that you know his best friend is his soulmate Marco can't wait for them to graduate so he can you know tell him that.

Then, you know. That happens. And Jean is so fucking confused because he keeps seeing Annie crying, looking down on him. Only when Annie starts getting off the gear, when his soulmate starts moving around trying to get away he starts panicking, starts moving around faster than before. And maybe he's too late. Or maybe he shows up in time and kills the titan. I don't know. That's not where I'm trying to get, but to the second option AKA Marco pulling an UNO reverse on Annie because he's a smart sneaky bastard like that and being like 'Hey you can't kill me, my soulmate will know it was you' which makes her stop trying to take off his gear. Reiner keeps telling her to do it, Bertholdt keeps yelling about that titan coming closer, but Annie... she has seen things, at some point. Flashes of moments that weren't hers, happening right in Trost- right in that moment. And she didn't give them too much thought until that moment, until it got confirmed that it has nothing to do with her titan powers.

'What do you mean by that?' she asks, because she needs to know more. Because she wants to know more. And Marco starts explaining how it works. Tells them that he has found his soulmate, that they will put all the blame on them for his death. Reiner doesn't believe him, keeps insisting that he's playing them around - he, and anyone born and raised on Marley, has never heard of something like that before, it doesn't exist - but Annie tells him to shut up and to let Marco go. Cue to the plot of any fic in which Marco doesn't straight up die after finding up their secret.

Anyway I don't know man, just,,, We need more soulmate aus for JeanMarco. That's an order.

Julia was lured 1st since she wuz the easiest 2 get ahold ov, Valerie simply just took her 2 the pizzaplex and didn't take her back home

Deva and Diya were lured together, they were alone at the indoor playground since Deva asked Kyle to get a slushie for them, it wasn't that far so Kyle left them on their own. When she took too long they both began to worry, Vanny took the opportunity and offered to help them find their sister.

Kyles wasn't lured, she wasn't an intended victim at all, actually, she just saw Vanny taking her siblingz somewhere and followed them, and you know, no witnesses and all

Joy was all alone at the pizzaplex, no one even knew she wuz there in the 1st place, she used her allowance to get a bus ticket there since her family had no plans for her birthday. Vanny promised a big party they could set up just for her and all Joy had to do was trust her

Daisy also wasn't lured, her little sister wuz having a birthday party at the pizzaplex and her classmates just so happened 2 b visiting too, they locked her in a janitor's closet to "teach her a lesson", Vanny just so happened to finish changing into her suit when Daisy was thrown in

Dot, again, wasn't lured, she was rummaging in the pizzaplex's trash behind the building (they alwayz end throwing away warm pizza, heard itz bc the owner of the place iz really picky about safety🤔) with another homeless friend of herz, Valerie just happened to take out the trash then. Her friend ran off the moment he heard the door open and left Dot behind, Valerie, being the kind soul she iz (can't even say that with a straight face) gave Dot a piece ov fresh cake from the kitchen that totally wasn't poisoned <3

Guatemala had dropped her Roxette plushie and in the process ov trying to find it and get it back she accidentally let go ov her older sister's hand, and due to her separation anxiety and the fact she wuz a blind girl in the middle ov a very crowded and very loud room she began to panic, Vanny, seeing this, decided to be a good samaritan and help Guatemala find her sister and/or the rest ov her family (:

Georgie wuz there after hours (since both ov her momz work there late) and Vanny thought she wuz easy pray. Georgie only really followed her bc she wuz tired and when shez tired her sense ov morbid curiosity overtakez her common sense

Carrie wuz there for her younger cousin's birthday (to which she did not want to attend), who wuz the original target b4 Carrie had her rare sense ov responsibility kick in and took her cousin's place

A small list of the powers I think they'd have as dragons:

-Lucifer can definitely breathe fire, and maybe do smokescreens

-I'm not sure if this is a power persay but I feel like his scales are shiny and can refract light to make him invisible/less seen, as well as being extremely fast

-Levi can probably communicate with aquatic animals, I kind of hc that he can do that already tho. And maybe he's much much faster in water than on land, almost as fast as Mammon

-Satan can probably also breathe fire, but I feel like he has a heat sense that can go through objects like rock and stuff! Like Thermal Vision if that makes sense

-For Asmo I think he can mimic sounds like a siren! I'd imagine he can do it almost perfectly and sometimes uses it to play jokes on his brothers and ik lol

-I'm not also not sure if this one is a power, but I feel like Beel can eat and regurgitate anything at will like snakes in cartoons. bery weird but other than that maybe he has 360 vision like a fly........

-Belphie I feel can shoot air blasts or maybe travel on air currents for short amounts of time....i'm honestly not sure for him but for some reason i'm tilting towards air based powers

Asmo mimicking IKs voice to get Lucifer to tell him yes to things lol

Also I think due to the style of his tail that Satan would wear a dragon skull like Cubone

ooo okay so this isn’t much of a power, but there’s this breed of wood frog that stops its heart during hibernation, so maybe belphie can do something along those lines?? maybe dragons naturally run on the hotter side, but belphie’s able to lower his body temperature to below freezing (so then when he spits the air, it’s cold enough to freeze water), and go into a hibernation state where his heart stops - which i’m realising now isn’t really a power, but it could be useful for surviving in conditions with little food??

i reckon beel can probably unhinge his jaw SUPER wide, and the wider it gets, the stronger his bite strength when he finally bites down. dude could probably sever the top off a mountain if he tried hard enough, that’s his dragon power
