Crafting a Stable Bucket Pantry
I fill buckets like this one with dry staple foods.
I have a room filled with canned goods that I home-canned. Most of these were foods that I obtained locally, or we grew ourselves. In another location, I have buckets of staple foods, most of which will last me many months. Here is what I store in my stable dry food bucket pantry.

This year’s ides of March cake! Left more space on top for the writing this year by moving the knives to the sides 😆
I’m bringing it in to work tomorrow, because what is this holiday about, if not accomplishing a big task with your coworkers?

If you went on bakeoff with common American baking tools like a flour sifter and pastry blender, you would either be disqualified for cheating or win the whole thing...

mmm i love waking up at 6:30 and leaving the house at 7:20 just to go to the shop on the way to school to buy cupcakes for a silly little valentine's themed bake sale at school because my homemade ones failed miserably

my next 2 forays into making things homemade that i usually buy (probably inferior) versions of are dumplings and chili oil. idk enough about chili oil to make a judgment on quality but vegetarian dumplings are both not sold at my local grocery store (so i have to take an extra trip to the asian market) and frequently not super delicious. and with the chili oil im like why not

Got some ~candy~ and ~snacks~ for my students. Apparently Mallo Cups are gluten-free as well, which is cool because there’s a gluten-free student and they don’t have very many snacks to eat in the stockpile at all.

Stew was really good 😋💕
We used those mini potatoes this time (halved or quartered) in an effort to save me some energy, and thank god sggdgdgdgd. They're so soft and tender but the skin makes it have almost a snap to it? And I put in so many carrots, but I cut them into small pieces and that seems to work best (easier to get on a spoon). The meat is so fall apart tender 🤤
My body still feels super fucking exhausted and in pain, but my soul feels restored a bit agdggdgdgd
