Should have posted this Rosemary yesterday for ANZAC Day. (Salvia rosmarinus previously Rosmarinus officinalis) originally from the Mediterranean area, it’s been in use for over 5000 years. Anzac Day was devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served in the Gallipoli campaign which was their first engagement, in the First World War (1914–1918). Since this is now well over 100 years in the past ANZAC Day has been embraced as a historic commemoration of all service to Australia and New Zealand. Rosemary is associated with remembrance because it’s easy to propagate. #Rosemary #SalviaRosmarinus #herb #fragrant #bush #foliage #abcmygarden #purple #green #perennial #hardy #easygrow #strewing #edible #medicinal (at Belmont, New South Wales, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/Crfd-grPZvW/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Working with Autism PDA (pathologic demand avoidance) by "strewing" (setting up an activity that u want to do for your later self even thought PDA wont do it right now)
Doing this removes barriers from doing the activity for later when the stress and pressure to do it has released without executive dysfunction of setting up the activity
You know what’s wild? Paris Howe Strewe, the guy who played Théodred in Two Towers, has precisely one acting credit in his entire life. He went from never having acted in a professional production (at least, not one that appears on IMDB) to having a named role in one of the biggest movie franchises ever made to just….???? I would LOVE to know the story behind that, but there is next to no information about him out there in common circulation.
(Also, and this really sucks for him, when I Google his name the first picture to come up is actually Viggo!)
Ough- I feel ya. Job searching is a f*cking nightmare at the best of times. Perhaps a drawing of hassenpffefer (that rabbit Carter adopted)? Bunnies are good stress relief.
you're so right, bunnies are great stress relief 🥺
Pity me not because the light of day
At close of day no longer walks the sky;
Pity me not for beauties passed away
From field and thicket as the year goes by;
Pity me not the waning of the moon,
Nor that the ebbing tide goes out to sea,
Nor that a man’s desire is hushed so soon,
And you no longer look with love on me.
This have I known always: Love is no more
Than the wide blossom which the wind assails,
Than the great tide that treads the shifting shore,
Strewing fresh wreckage gathered in the gales:
Pity me that the heart is slow to learn
What the swift mind beholds at every turn.
Lavender is still alive :-) (Lavandula) it’s a member of the mint family. Comes from the “old world” India to Africa, Europe to the Canary Islands. This one is a cutting in a pot. Full sun, not too wet, good drainage and take away the dead heads to encourage compact growth. Prunings are also good to bag up and use as air fresheners. Lavender is one of the “strewing” herbs. #Lavender #Lavandula #herb #fragrant #bush #foliage #abcmygarden #purple #perennial #hardy #easygrow #strewing (at Belmont, New South Wales, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpW9DjLP4-e/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Everything about Kanade screams blue tones, her room, her outfit, her eyes, even her hair is that off-white bluish color - but nevertheless, her color is actually a dull, greyed our red.
And there's something with An's color being cyan yet how she's so strongly associated with red in the latest events.
Far too late to be up, and yet…
They could not muster up the courage to rest.
To leave the other for those sacred, peaceful moments.
Just a little bit longer, just a little bit longer…
Comforted, in that warm glow.
Held so lightly, to bare the other was no weight at all.
Arms around the other, coated in moon and lantern light.
Close, harmony in that softness of skin, roughness in those hands.
Just kept, full of trust, in those little glances.
Safe, in that warm glow.
Coddled over, faces nuzzled.
A small kiss, bringing all that patient joy.
Tightened arms, to squeeze and express love in that silent way.
Two figures, set by a shrinking blue horizon.
trying to convince my cat that i don't actually have the power to make twisty-ties appear out of thin air. i'm sorry you lost it, just retrace your steps.
One of the neighbour’s big fucking dogs is loose and is rather violently tearing into the siding and underworks of the trailer. Not sure what to do about that.
