It is a time where we need to make sure we get on the mat to calm our nerves and emotionally cool down. Meditation and pranayama practices are paramount at this time as well. The foods we eat should also help us to balance what is in nature and ourselves. This is a fresh, simple recipe for you! Take a trip to your independently owned organic market to grab your ingredients and get cooking! Ginger Limeaid Recipe courtesy of Joyful Belly 1/2 c BASIL 2 inch GINGER (FRESH) 1 whole LIME 2 tsp RAW SUGAR 1. Use a fine grater to make about 1 teaspoon of lime zest. Juice limes. Chop ginger into chunks. 2. Add 1c water to a blender with ginger, lime juice, lime zest, raw sugar and a small handful of fresh basil leaves. Blend until smooth. 3. Combine ginger-lime juice with an additional 3 cups of water in a pitcher. Garnish with fresh basil. Chill and serve. This meal is perfect for when you want Italian and you want summer ❤️ Happy Monday loves. Hope you all had an awesome holiday weekend. I took some time off here...if you caught my stories my Grampa passed away this weekend...he was 93, lived an incredible life but it’s never easy to let go. Especially because we were so close. So I took some time to be yesterday, hung in the pool...my boyfriend surprised me with lobster so it was a nice day. What did you do this weekend? • • • Deets: MEATBALLS: 1 pound ground turkey, 1 cup shredded zucchini (squeeze liquid out-will end up being about 1/2 cup after drained of liquid), 1/2 cup ricotta (dairy free or regular), 2 tablespoon chopped fresh basil, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Mix all ingredients and roll into 1 inch balls (about 13-14). Bake on on 400 on a baking sheet for 16-18 minutes. Brush the tops with olive oil and broil for 1 minute to get a crispy top. SALAD: 2 cups Zoodles, 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes, 1/3 cup of mini mozzarella balls, fresh basil, and pesto. I used my simple hemp seed pesto recipe but any basil pesto will do! PESTO: 1/4 Cup hemp seed, 1/4 Cup olive oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 heaping cups fresh basil, 1 small clove garlic. Add all ingredients to food processor and process until smooth! POTATOES: tossed in olive oil and seasoned with salt, pepper, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, garlic and onion powder. Do you enjoy fruit in savory settings? For the longest time, I did not But ther… Do you get pleasure from fruit in savory settings? For the longest time, I didn't 😂😂 However there was this sooner or later final summer time the place I used to be like, “I actually need to make barbecue sauce out of those strawberries.” (See me make it in my story highlights!) I don't know the place this concept got here from 😂 Nevertheless it turned out to be AMAZING, and completely transformed me to candy and savory taste combos!!

Coconut, Lemon Grass, Shrimp, spicy. Make a simple julienned #mirepoix 1. sauté in the bottom of a large saucepan. Don't worry about sticking. 2. Add garlic, lemongrass, chili paste, and mushrooms. Toss until blended and fragrant. 3. Pour in 1 can coconut milk, 1 can vegetable broth, top up with water. BRING TO BOIL. 4. Add shrimp (optional). Simmer until opaque.
