This is also why characters like Knuckles don’t really transform anymore.

It’s one thing for Shadow, who didn’t interact enough with any of the Freedom Fighters to form lasting attachments bar the characters who are still around, or Silver, who already has to deal with new catastrophe’s popping up in the future, to recall certain things when they access their Super forms.

Knuckles, on the other hand, would recall an entire civilization and family he’s believed lost his entire life. 

He’d have to not only grapple with being the last Echidna, but with the fact that for some years he wasn’t and now is again.

When Knuckles or Tails are around, Sonic steps up to turn Super in situations that call for it more proactively for this exact reason.

He wouldn’t know how to explain to his little brother that their family used to be bigger.

He doesn’t know how to explain to Knuckles that there was a time he wasn’t alone.

So, no, he doesn’t let either of his brothers near that sort of emotional damage.

I need codependent Danny/Jason as a little treat (for me) and I love the idea of them having some sort of instant connection the moment they meet (bc ghost stuff idk)

Danny who's been dropped in Gotham with no way home (alt universe??) and he's been here for 36 hours and having a Very bad time senses a liminal being and immediately latches onto them heedless of the fact that his new best friend is shooting at some seedy guys in an alley and goes off about how stressed he is and how he can't make it back to the ghost zone and what a bad day he's been having (and it's important to note Danny is a littol ghost boy literally hanging off of Jason's neck as he floats aimlessly) and Jason is like "who are you??" And Danny is like "oh sorry I'm Danny lol" and then just continues lamenting his woes

And honestly ? This might as well happen. Nothing about this Danny guy(is he human?) gives Jason a bad vibe and tbh he's never felt more calm and level headed before so he just keeps up his usual Red Hood patrol and doesn't even think about it when he heads back to a safehouse and feeds Danny dinner (breakfast) before crashing for half the day

The only thing I actually need is Jason meeting up with the bats for some sort of Intel meeting and they're like "uhhh who's that" and Jason is like "that's Danny." And does not elaborate (very ".... What do you have there?" "A smoothie" vibes)

And it takes them a while to realize that these two have known each other for less than 12 hours and are literally attached at the hip

I'm glad that My Adventures with Superman is having fun and gave us a magical girl-esk transformation sequence.

But it does make me think of the nearly 30 second transformation sequence we got with Green lantern in Green Lantern: First Flight (2009) That was just was just not magical girl-esk, but full magical girl transformation.

(same anon) I kinda like that because then it could mean Knuckles and Tails' Super States could also change and become something more unique to them (I have a huge negative bias towards their Super States being only a pulse shine, maybe that's petty, but I would love if they got some difference, what's why I love the Flickies from Super Tails in S3K)

And also Silver's... His Super State being yet another yellow is so =( especially given that even his marks turn yellow

What I always found interesting was Knuckles could go Super Knuckles with the Chaos Emeralds and Hyper Knuckles with the Super Emeralds. But Tails could NOT go Super with the Chaos Emeralds, and needed the Super Emeralds to go Super Tails. At least, in the original release. That's been lost a bit with Origins and Mania. But I STILL CONSIDER IT CANON that the chaos emeralds weren't enough to get Tails to the point of being Super because of his self esteem issues at the time.

If you just take the text of what the chaos emeralds DO, and what the Super Transformation IS, then yeah it's perfectly reasonable to assume that characters could "change" what their Super Transformation entails as their heart evolves. "The servers are the seven chaos (emeralds). Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart." And Sonic describes the Super Transformation as "The ultimate power" that "is fueled by everyone's wish."

And Chaos, Gmerl, and Trip all prove that the Chaos Emeralds can readily be used to cause physical bodily changes all together.

The Chaos Emeralds can basically do whatever you want them to do. Blaze specifically says in Sonic 06 that gathering all seven can cause a miracle to happen. So what's happening when Sonic gathers the seven emeralds and turns super is the emeralds are just manifesting his truest desire in that moment: to have the power to overcome his enemies and save everyone. And so it is with everyone else. They don't want the power for its own sake, nor for selfish reasons. They just want the ability to save the day, in that moment, and nothing further. And the emeralds themselves have a will and want to aid the heroes.

As for why everyone besides Sonic just starts glowing white instead of physically changing, fuckinggg I dunno they just don't feel like it lol. You could argue Sonic Shadow and Silver have hearts of gold, and thus their bodies become gold to reflect the power enriched by their heart? And Tails Knuckles Amy Mighty and Ray are less "pure" because of their own baggage weighing them down? Or you could argue that Sonic and the other two male hedgys are fucking NERD DWEEB IDIOTS who think "turning gold = stronger and cooler =B " and the emeralds are just responding to that, and everyone else who gets a Super state is just far more utilitarian about it so they just get the shimmershims. Or something. Whatever. Trip can turn into a fucking dragon, so clearly the tag alongs COULD turn gold too and they just don't for some reason and you can fill in the blanks yourself.

Rogues Gallery AU Ratchet and Drift details vvv

Drift, formerly going by the name Deadlock, has long since retired her career as the hired assassin Cheshire after ending up at Ratchet's free clinic 10 years ago. The two now live together and have since gotten married at some point, with Drift sometimes helping Ratchet out in the clinic. Otherwise, she trains her athletic skills relentlessly and repaints/maintains her old gear in case anyone decides to cause trouble for either of them. You never know what might happen in Gotham City...

Ratchet runs a free clinic in Gotham, treating anyone or any bat looking for help. Her history with Prowl is long, and she doesn't necessarily approve of Prowl's decision to don the cowl, but she'll still help out regardless. Ratchet's currently been looking to retire alongside Drift some time soon, but has tremendous difficulty staying away from her clinic.

Both can break every bone in ur body if they really wanted to
