watching spn is wild because every time satan's aunt or something pops up they have to come up with a plan and it's always like. attempt genocide on the angels. open up an ancient portal to the place monsters go when they die. literally just try to kill death. (this one happened more than once with two different incarnations of death) take on the makes-you-want-to-kill-everything curse. absorb thousands of dead souls and turn yourself into a ghost bomb
and every time without fail they're like surely this will have no consequences whatsoever. like no fucking wonder there's been like 8 apocalypses you caused half of them, you guys are batshit insane and youre running purely off of beer adderall and coffee. crowley's the only one who comes up with any logical plans and half the time he's not even on their side. at this point maybe god was right to try and kill you

SUPERNATURAL SEASON 15, EPSIDE 18 SPOILERS!!!
I NEED TO YAP ABOUT CAS'S DEATH BECAUSE IK I'VE SEEN PEOPLE BEING LIKE "oh, he sacrificed himself so Dean could live and it was all for nothing because he still went and died on a hunt" and while it's funny to see jokes of people design Cas in Heaven being like "wtf Dean? This is it? I did all that, and this is how you fucking die?" But I've seen people, especially back when the episodes first came out, seeing it as just a sacrifice to save Dean's life and saying it all went to waste but it DIDN'T. Castiel's sacrifice did what he meant for it to do.
While, yes, it was a sacrifice to save Dean's life, in part, it also was a final admission of how important Dean is to Castiel, and his deep love for Dean. It was a confession more than it was a sacrifice. A final message of love.
He tells Dean that he would be taken into the empty once he found out what made him the happiest, and he spent so long searching for one specific thing, but then, he realized, it was never a something, not even just a someone. Just his experience and his existence with Dean. He tells Dean he changed him, and tells Dean through his finals words that his time with him, and this life with him was his happiness. He tells Dean "I love you." And let's himself be taken into the empty, taking the reaper with him and saving Dean from death one final time, with ONE FINAL ADMISSION TO DEAN OF JUST HOW DEEPLY HE LOVED AND CARED FOR HIM, HOW IMPORTANT DEAN IS TO HIM, AND HOW MUCH HE'S DONE FOR HIM!!! IT WAS NOT JUST A SACRIFICE, AND IN NO WAY WAS IT A WASTE!!! HE SAVED DEAN ONE LAST TIME AND GAVE HIM ONE LAST SHOW OF ADMIRATION AND A DEEP, PASSIONATE LOVE FOR DEAN!!!!!!!! CASTIEL'S FINAL SACRIFICE DID NOT GO TO WASTE!!!! AND IT WAS NOT JUST A SACRIFICE TO SAVE DEAN, BUT A FINAL ADMISSION OF LOVE!!!!!!! AND DEAN ABSOLUTELY GOT THAT MESSAGE!!!!!! HE IS FUCKING HEARTBROKEN AND HE KNOWS!!!!HE UNDERSTOOD WHAT CASTIEL WAS CONFESSING TO HIM!!!!!! MESSAGE RECEIVED!!!!! CASTIEL DID NOT DIE FOR NOTHING, HE DIED SHOWING DEAN JUST HOW MUCH HE TRULY MEANS TO HIM AND HOW MUCH HE LOVES HIM AND HE ABSOLUTELY GOT HIS MESSAGE ACROSS!!!! HE DIDN'T DIE FOR NOTHING!!!!SHUT THE FUCK UP RAAAAHGGGFG

A digital piece from 2021 done for a DCBB season 15 fix it fic. This is Cas pulling Dean’s ass off that damn rebar 🥲🥲🥲🥲 Lots I would change about this now, but I still love the highlight of Cas’ face.
Wish I had more patience for digital works — my setup sucks 😂

I have never seen 911, but a lot of people I follow do so I feel kind of invested, it's so odd.
Anyway. I'm real happy for you guys! 🥳

• S15 E03 The Rupture
At the start of the episode, Rowena recites a spell in Italian for some arcane reason so I decided to switch languages and see if they changed it in the Italian dub: turns out they did because in the English version the Italian was a bit...wonky? So in the dub they changed the words 😂
Also, I already said this but, I can't stress it enough how sweet and smooth and youthful the italian voice actors sound even tho it's the final seasons and the brothers are basically middle-aged men with a life of trauma on their shoulders. It's so disorienting, compared to their original voices. Not bad per sé, just- the va are actually pretty great, despite the fact that I'm not a big fan of the adaptation, but still I think that they're too clean and so the characters lose a little something.
Now, for the opinion about these past episodes: the writers ran out of ideas at least 4 seasons ago and this feels like an absolute mess and btw Castiel is gay and I think I understand the "Destiel divorce" jokes now? Correct me if I'm wrong ah and also fuck God (but what's new?).

I honestly just think it's funny that so many people have been watching ofmd as a 'comfort show' lmao like I'm over here specifically watching for the angst. I crave pain and suffering. As soon as High On A Rocky Ledge played in the pilot I was hooked because I knew I was in for intense emotional turmoil. Red Flags is now my favorite episode of the entire series. I honestly didn't expect Izzy to survive as long as he did. His fucked up relationship with Blackbeard has fed me so well.
Of course I adore the love story, and the fact that Ed and Stede's love is an absolute, an immutable fact, of the show's premise allows me to enjoy the angst all the more. But I feel like some people need to be reminded: David Jenkins never promised you fluff. He never promised no deaths, no tragedy, no violence, no difficult topics. Personally I think including a fair deal of all of those makes the hope, the love, and the comedy shine all the brighter and have more meaning. You don't have to agree, but you can't assign expectations to a show that never made such promises. There was never false advertising. David set out to tell the story of two troubled, complicated adults navigating love and a long-term relationship in an often harsh and unfair world, finding community and making meaningful gains in self-actualization along the way. Ultimately it is a 'feel good' story but it's a rocky and winding road meant to mirror the messiness of our real world. Maybe you need to step back and re-evaluate where canon ends and your headcanons begin, and what the 'goals' of the show actually are that may differ from what you're looking for in media, and not blame Jenkins et al. for 'betraying you' when they're just telling their story the way they set out to.

something really awful abt getting into supernatural after it already ended the way it did is knowing all along that dean is going to die. you're stuck watching every step of the way with the knowledge that after all this, after all you see him try to make it end another way, after all he gave, after all of his life lived believing the only thing he would get in return for sacrificing more and more at every turn would be it killing him in the end. and knowing he was right.

Still thinking about the fact that "Houses of the Holy" (Supernatural 2x13) is only two episodes before "Tall Tales" (Supernatural 2x15). 2x14 isn't even a monster of the week episode, it's an "oh no the consequences of our actions!" episode.
That means they found a hunt, thought it was an angel, had a whole argument about whether or not angels are real, ended with the conclusion "probably not, and if there are they don't interfere with humans", had some stuff go down in their personal lives, and then quite possibly the very next hunt they find is the literal Archangel Gabriel.
