Hi Rin! (≧▽≦)//
Another request, related to the movie: "Alice in Wonderland" This time with the Mad Hatter!!
The point is that the readers are the Mad Hatter. Where they come from, people usually think they're from the path of exaltation, and they don't deny it, but they don't claim to be either. They just continue with what they were doing. Did you forget something? Don't worry! I have it in my hat! Which is weird but useful since they seem to keep a lot of things in their hats. They can even pull out a table and chair when it's time for tea (which is when). Also, like the Cheshire Cat, they're capable of breaking the fourth wall, making light jokes about how someone must be very interested in the characters. Also, every time he tries to say the word "gamer," small bubbles come out of his throat, a clear sign that they're going to censor anything he tries to say about the players (or in general).
With the characters: Aventurine, Sampo, Dr.ratio, and Moze.

Aventurine had seen strange things before. Things that defied logic, crumbled under scrutiny, and still somehow made it onto investment portfolios. But you? You weren’t just strange—you were the whole deck of strange, and perhaps a few jokers too.
“Did you forget something?” you asked, voice lilting, sing-song, already halfway through pulling a full tea set from your absurdly tall hat. "Don't worry—I have it! Also, I borrowed a raccoon. Don’t ask."
He blinked, lounging against his chair with an amused expression, hands steepled beneath his chin. "I do like a person who plans ahead. Or… was this preposterously convenient coincidence?"
"Yes," you said, nodding sagely, and sat down at a table that had most definitely not been there three seconds ago. He narrowed his eyes in delight. You were a walking contradiction—chaotic yet deliberate. Unpredictable, and yet somehow playing from a script he didn’t recognize.
“You know,” you continued casually, lifting your teacup, “I heard someone was watching us. Right now. Maybe they're rooting for you, hm?” You winked directly at a spot just above the sky.
He chuckled. “Then they have excellent taste.”
When you tried to say “gamer,” bubbles puffed from your mouth like champagne foam, floating upward with a faint pop. “Oops. Still censored,” you said, sticking your tongue out and blowing a bubble from the next word.
Aventurine leaned forward with interest. “Fascinating. You seem to play by your own rules.”
You grinned. “No rules. Just tea. And maybe a war against linear storytelling.”
He smirked, leaning closer. “Care to wager your reality against mine?”
“I already did,” you whispered, tipping your hat. “Check your pocket.”
There was a playing card inside. The Fool.
And it was smiling back.

You twirled in place, letting your coat flap dramatically as you adjusted your oversized hat. “I prefer ‘chaotic consultant of candied consequences,’ but sure! That works!”
“Do I know you?” Sampo asked, raising a brow and slipping one hand into his coat, clearly ready for a bribe or a smoke bomb. “Wait—don’t tell me. You’re my new supplier of invisibility confetti and tax evasion tea, right?”
He tilted his head, chuckling. “You’re something else.”
“And you’re something less,” you replied with a wink. “But hey, math is hard. And rules? Overrated. Let’s have tea.”
With a snap of your fingers and a flourish of your hat, a mismatched tea set clattered into place on top of a barrel that absolutely hadn’t been there before. Sampo blinked.
“Where did you even—”
You put a finger to your lips. “Shhh. Logic is taking a nap.”
As you poured tea, a small fish swam up from the pot. “Wrong pot,” you said, tossing it back into your hat. “That was Wednesday’s brew.”
“You are delightfully dangerous,” Sampo said, raising a brow. “Like me, if I were more… hallucinatory.”
You leaned across the table, eyes glittering. “Tell me, ever been kissed by a paradox?”
“…Is that a riddle or a promise?”
“Yes.”
When you tried to explain what a “gamer” was, you hiccupped a bubble that spelled out CENSORED BY THE SYSTEM in sparkling letters before floating away. You stared after it.
“Foul sorcery,” you mumbled.
Sampo smirked. “Let’s keep breaking things, you and I.”
And you smiled, because you already had.

Ratio stared at you for a solid minute without blinking.
“I’m not hallucinating, right?”
You took a long sip of tea, then pulled out a duck from your hat. “No, he is. But I’m real. Mostly. Depending on the narrative device.”
The duck quacked ominously.
Ratio sighed. “Wonderful. Another construct defying Euclidean space and rational thinking. And they’re charming, too.”
You beamed. “Why, thank you. I do practice irrationality with a side of existential flair.”
He rubbed his temple. “You're a disruption to order.”
You leaned in. “You’re addicted to it. We make a good contrast.”
He paused. Then… he smiled. Not sarcastic. Not smug. Just… intrigued.
You tried to say “gamer” and immediately blew a bubble that popped with a squeaky "BOOP."
Ratio blinked. “Did that bubble say boop?”
“Yes. Also it tried to teach me binary once, but it only got to 010101 before it popped. Tragic.”
Ratio crossed his arms, clearly battling between intellectual revulsion and sheer curiosity. “You’re either incredibly dangerous or an enigma masquerading as a punchline.”
“I’m both! And also your tea date.”
You clinked your cup against his flask.
“Welcome to the mad side, Ratio. We have recursive metaphors.”
He took a sip of tea, and for once, didn’t argue.

What Remains When We Depart When we leave, we do not only abandon those we love — we also leave behind the objects that quietly accompanied us through the journey of life. Those that were intimate witnesses to our days: a chair that held our rest, a piano that resonated with our emotions, a sculpture we contemplated in silence. They were part of our identity — extensions of our being.
Once we vanish, their meaning dissolves. Some become relics, others drift into the debris of oblivion. Perhaps someone preserves them, granting them a new story, a new memory. Or perhaps they remain suspended, floating in the void, stripped of meaning — without the gaze that once gave them purpose.
Objects do not die with us. They remain — still, expectant — as fragments of a time that no longer belongs to them. Silent witnesses to who we were, motionless remnants of our impermanence. We never say goodbye to them. We simply cease to be. And they remain, quietly sustaining our absence. Music: Chopin: "Suffocation" Prelude in E Minor Op. 28, No. 4

I'm only on like chapter 4 but I really like the way Migi to Dali is handling the idea of irrational childhood fears when experienced by two twelve-year-olds with seemingly very little interaction with normal human society. like why WOULD the twins know what wigs are and why people have them? they don't need them to survive! they're completely superfluous! I don't think they've had much space for superfluous things. they're used to everything being a life-or-death matter with only each other and their wits to save them. thinking the parents are going to steal their hair and then make their escape on what looks to be a biplane is a very twelve-year-old thought process, but it makes sense that they would immediately assume they're in danger.
#migi to dali#migi and dali#also im really liking this weird eerie american suburbs vibe it has despite it being set in japan#adds to the surrealism element of it. its like reality but it isnt#also the mystery. like is this an alternate timeline where japan is more westernized? is it just these people? will this be explained?#who knows! certainly not me!

Near the shore – shells at the shore
Text quest. About shore. Imagine for yourself, that you are suddenly, appeared at the island. Sand. Around you - it is a sand. As a beach. And sand line along the shore. To the far. It is so a summer island. To the depth -it is forest. Dark, green. And ocean is from another side. With blue water. And blue sky. Weather is cloudless. And it is a hot day.
Now, you are walking along the shore. And since this moment you start your adventure. This is a text quest. And you need to write commands here. Game is linear. And along the shore all the places - there are shells. You need to collect them. If you walk game to the end. So you will see which shells – you collect. There are 8 of them total. And game is about 32 game scenes. But some scenes have several screens.
youtube
Maybe, most big question for quests. And with text quests too. This is logic. How a lot actions have a logic. What do you need to do – to go next? And how good it is easy to understand from the description. Mainly, with this game, you need to go to the different directions. North, south, west, east. And with the text it is written about this – to the north you see this. To the south you see this. And this means, you go to one of these directions.
If there is item, which you need to take for walkthrough. So it is written – before your eyes there is something laying. With the usage of items, maybe, it is most this moment. Well, I cannot, as a developer, write it this way. Here you need to use crystal. For example. Player need by himself to get this idea, about this place to do something. This is most narrow moment in logic.
Do not forget to collect shells in game. It is so interesting moment. They are different here. Big. Green. Red. It will be here pair of dialogs. For example, a conversation with jean. Which can help you. If you have shells. This is a water symbol. This is so mysterious element. Something it is connected with the water. Water - second element. But what the way – nobody gives explanation. And I do not explain it too. Open moment in game. You can use fantasy, as I can say.
Element with fantasy. Little of mystics. So fairytale and strange thing happens with you. You are at the island. And walk by sand. So, look, - someone made a castle out of sand! Sandy castle. Not big. Someone was playing here. But nobody is here now!
With this view. Game is also like some strange and interesting quests. Like Riven and Myst. So there, you are inside the book. And this is a video quests. Strange locations. Everything is so unusual. Mechanisms. Island. Amazing places. Here is also same thing, but with the text form. And you are walking by sand.
Quests -are interesting genre. Text quests – I want to do them all the time. I remember, I dream about a house with ghosts. Something about vampires, but I do not know what certain. About mystics. About fantasy. And standalone block – science fiction. It can be some imitation of Star trek next Generations. Or maybe, something like my own. Something amazing about space. Some event. And all around this.
And here it is blue background as Norton Commander. It is start idea. Game with blue background. With retro view. At the low – it is a line. Once again. Like Norton Commander – commands. Which are available at the scene. And a story. About ocean. But, no, it is about yellow sand and shore. But references to the water are all the time here. Sand, water, sky. Some kind travel to the picture. You find out someway yourself there. And now you are there. And it is everything some unique way in this place to go. And little strange. But it consists from familiar things.
Shells – water symbol. Magic creatures. Phoenix and jean. Wall with sand. Underwater cave with crystals. Forest. With parrots. And mainly - sand. And to walk along the sand. This is most big part here. Center part of the storyline. Sand. And you are walking by it. Shore. Sometimes, you are walking by water. Like, something, - it is valuable. But it is not have a tale why it is valuable, what is the things are here.
Collect shells at the shore. It is second element. Symbol of water. Here it is valuable. Like, it is some dimension. Shells and shore. Near the shore. What a nice day it is here. Sky, blue sky, nice ocean. And lots of sand.
Basic Pascal version 1.18 "Duckling" – most newest version. In this version there are 4 new games! Puddles at Countryside, Duckling Pseudo 3D, Road to Countryside, Duckling Goes 2D. And even more retro games! It is a pack of retro games with modern versions of Basic and Pascal.
It is now in development new version Basic Pascal pack games. This game will be included in a new version.

tangentially its really funny how it took me thinking digital circus is really mid to realize how much i actually fucking love ena
#previously i'd been more of a passive enjoyer of ena. like i'd thought it was neat but it was a thing i'd just like see get posted#in the group chat and be like 'oh cool it's another one of those' and watch it and then forget about it#and then digicirc came out and everybody started losing their minds about it and i was like. its just ok.#and the elements i liked the most about it --the surreal medium-blending self-aware game abstraction type beats--#i was like. this really just feels like worse ena. maybe i have not appreciated ena enough.#digicirc is of course not nearly as focal on those elements and is a lot about actual characters and storytelling and shit just as much#as feeling out its weird world and its rules.but like. i dont care about tadc characters that much[or at least not their current direction]#[it's showed hints of stuff i genuinely think is neat but i don't think it's really the place the story is interested in heading]. anyway#ena is very overwhelmingly about being surreal and off the wall and it is very very very very very good at it#& now with the game.....fans of OFF and hylics rejoice we got a new kid on the block and it's the best it's ever been#bweeeaaahh
