Honestly tired of the whole 'The evil witch turned me into a newt/frog/woodland creature!' Thing. First of all it's reductive to refer to someone as an *evil* witch. Secondly, do you have any idea the amount of effort it takes to turn a living human being into a different animal? Nevermind the years of training and study to learn the spell in the first place. THEN, you also have to maintain the cursed persons mental capacity so they can experience the curse you've just worked so hard on (Obviously it'd be pointless to transform someone into a newt if they just like, thought they were a newt after that, a curse is a curse for a reason.) Which adds a whole other layer of difficulty to the equation.

You're telling me a practitioner of the dark arts learnt how to transmorph a human being (takes years), found you just innocently wandering the woods (unlikely) and decided to cast an incredibly complicated and draining spell on you just to be a dick?

Look, I'm sure it's happened before, I'm not denying that. HOWEVER, if someone flew across the country, constructed a rube Goldberg assassination machine, lured you onto a giant X in a Wild-E-Coyotean manner and killed you with 17 darts duct taped to a bowling ball, I would ASSUME there was more to the story than just someone acting on a whim.

NAMESAKE STORY TIME. So there's this song called Swampwitch by Aether Realm. And if you google the lyrics, it not only includes the actual lyrics, but also lovely metal sounds like blegh and eeyyaah. And just when I was thinking about making a metalhead asura, @flower-crow made a shitpost about how those are perfect asura names. So... the legends were born. (flower's oc is called Blegh <3)
