Thinking. So i really like Butch hartman elf detective concept but i already seen this thing so many time so here is my modifies version of it. +So Main charater is Thorn (Thomson) Klever Baskerville
Age 300+, a Detective who often take dark magic related case. Have a magical Golden Yoyo (super heavy if you don't know how to use) as stim toy that he play when he brain storming. Quite a Stoic Loner.
He is a Dark Elf a survial from the Root War (it is call the Root Genocide by the Dark Elf) it happen very long ago and no one remember what actual happen Except for the long living Species like Demon, Elf, Vampire. That caused the Dark elf remaining population to be scattered across Terra instead of resigning under Igar Tree like other Elf races and even caused a stig that Dark elf mean Bad new. +The fairy Police girl is Eliza Lilyana Fairlywinkle short living species, Flower fairy 13 year old (this is the mature age of fairy species -as her mental maturity is equal that of a human in their early 20), She specialize in analizing the chemical components of the crime screence air as well as assitant for fiding clue where Thorn can't get to.
She is romantically interest in him at first (but it alway Clear that he is romantically interest in Doll more). They develop into good friend later on. +Dorothy (Doll) Penelopy Sherman a Human turn Vampire, Therapist age 300+ a very Sweet , mysterious but also very sharp Lady. She is Thorn long time friend and sometime therapist doctor, knew him since the Age of Gold. Her experty is criminal psychology. Know the truth about the Root war. Don't like Eliza at first caused how hostile Eliza is toward other Dark species acting like Thorn in just an exception, But they eventually reach an understanding and become friendly aquainted. (She is Thorn Main love interest, and they been on off like this for few decade dating like this is kinda normal for long living species, Unlike the rushing for forever as soon as possible of short life species)

Gimme all your thoughts on the last season of hsmtmts when you compose yourself! I’m still crying it was so perfect! Us Rinas won so hard!!! They are the most perfectly executed slowburn soulmates ever and the payoff was so sweet!
Tumblr media
ricky bowen basically sums up the entirety of my feelings towards the hsmtmts finale. i have absolutely not composed myself and there's so much to say but I'm not sure I have the words. Seeing as I just finished watching it through for a second time and my tears are still drying .... I'm gonna ramble cause this show means a stupid amount to me
First of all, this was my favorite season. I always say 3rd seasons are the best but... damn. hsmtmts is breaking my streak.
I think it brought back a lot of what made season 1 so so so special to me but it also allowed the show to grow. it was funny and outlandish and ridiculous and surprisingly heartfelt and it made me sob, all like season 1. the meta was metaing, the character development was charater developmenting (4x06??? insanity on every level). almost every single character made me cry at some point - both characters I have loved so dearly from the beginning and some characters I have truly hated at one point or another. genuinely, i think I ended this season more fond of the original main cast than I ever have been - which is saying something!!! i have loved them a lot from the start. I also think the humor and the pacing and the self-awareness were otherworldly.
this show just has a stupid ability to make me feel the full spectrum of human emotions in a 5 minute timespan - I go from laughing my ass off to crying my eyes out to falling in love to hating something so viscerally and it's just akdhsflkjasdhlfkj. it's hard to explain to people who haven't watched it because like ??? what do you mean the stupid littel alphabet show made you feel all that???? and i can't really explain it like you just gotta experience it. I'm a full ass adult and I audibly sobbed at Gina's speech - and i'm pretty sure I'll never be able to watch that scene without crying.
speaking of gina... I've known for a long time that she was one of my girls, but this season has absolutely forever cemented her as one of my favorite characters of all time. she is my girl my queen the love of my life an angel all the good things in the world (i sound like ricky bowen). but very seriously, there's a very short list of my favorite characters of all time and she will always, always, always be there.
I want to speak more about rina but i just.... i'm literally not sure i can find the words. the season was amazing, I loved seeing them grow out of situations that mirrored obstacles they had in the past, I loved the clear lines that showed how perfect Gina and Ricky are for each other as opposed to their previous partners, I think the rain kiss genuinely took my breath away and I'm so so so so happy that they are happy. I leapt out of my seat at the callbacks and the reveals and lost my mind at how invisible string and mastermind coded their entire relationship is. they are literally soulmates like gina took one look at "skater boy" and she was like "wow i guess this is the love of my life". like?????? that's so genuinely insane???? unhinged television.
i'm also heartbroken that i don't get more of them. i know we just saw a whole season of them kissing but like - I want more. I want to see them graduate. i want to see them take on more challenges. i want to see them fall even further in love. i'm sure i'll have more eloquent, well-rounded thoughts once my brain is working, but right now, i'm just so happy with what we got and also a little bit mourning the things we'll never see.
all in all, that's kind of how i feel about the show in general. i don't know that it feels finished. like - it was an ending. it had so much closure. this wasn't cancelled or cut off, it was brought to a close. but i still have so much i want to see from these characters. I want to see more of ricky and gina always. I want Kourtney taking on college and a Jetney duet (I'm gonna sue someone over the fact that i didn't get one). I want to see so so so much more of maddox and ashlyn!!! i literally just got them. and miss jenn and mazarra????? they literally just. dropped that in my lap and ran!!!!
i think the problem isn't actually the ending, though. I think it's just me, lol. I'm not sure I'd ever be ready to say goodbye to these characters. and i know it's good to go out on a high note but damn can't we ride this high for just a little bit longer?
also - terri porter is gunning for one of my least favorite tv parents ever and like. if you know me you know that's saying something.
also also - they swore more in this season of hsmtmts than in s3 of the boat show so. do with that what you will.

ok, first off, part 4 is the best one im sooo happy you hold the right opinion there. secondly, have you gotten to jojolion? if so, any opinions?
P4 is is just so good!! dont compare p4 to the rest of jojos!! its just doin its own thang
its very good and really just stands strong on its own
and yes! im actually currently reading through JJL atm, im workin through v14 right now, so i just finished reading the Vitamin C fight
and its very good, i like it A LOT more than sbr
it still has its icks, i cant ignore that and their some pretty big icks. but AT LEAST unlike SBR it isnt a major plot point that spans throughout the story and hinging on being "important to the story" its just a few unfortunate icks here and there.
BUT THE MAJORITY of the story is VERY fun and im REALLY enjoying it. i love the higashikatas so much their all freaks, i love that they all wont wow we love you josuke so much we wish you were our real son insteed of joshu <3 and then flushed him down the toilet <33
SOO mad Joshu has a cool fucking stand with a baller design, doesnt even deserve it...
i really do love the stand and ppl designs in this part. they look like they'll be very fun to translate into my art style if i ever get around to drawing them :))
and again love the characters, everyone's such a freak in the funniest best way possible i love them sm.
YASU AND GAPPY ARE ALSO SO SO GOOD AND SWEET AND GOOFY AND SILLAY AND I LOVE THEM. lil weirdos who im glad found each other <33
also i do really enjoying watching araki try to explore like, whats the world, really dive into character thoughts and feelings. i really enjoy watching through Gappy's delima of the question on "who am i and what does being me mean" its,,, ough
AND UGH JOSIFUMI AND KIRAS BACKSTORY IS SO OUCH AND MAKE ME WEEPY ITS REALLY GOOD THEIR BROTHERS THEY CARE EACH OTHER IM SO. UGH. Jojos hasnt had me this fee fee since the end of Stone Ocean fr...
theirs just a lot more to like about this part beside the characters its very good charaters in the classic good morioh setting with a fun story
aND this is one of the few parts that i geniuenlly knew VERY little about. i know Gappys deal and his whole idenity for the most part without the finer details, i know the name of some stands, i sorta understood the higashikata family set up, i know the name of the main villian and his stands name and i think i know its ability. and i knew the rock humans. But thats kinda it, i have NO idea a lot of the stuff thats going on as i go, i dont know a lot of characters, i dont know villian goals, or a lot of character backgrounds and development. im actually getting to go into this one pretty blind! and its so good because its a mystery set up and im like, really good part to not know whats going on. so exciting.

So I just heard that Nickalodian released a Monster High live action movie. Saw a review and I'm greatly disappointed.
One, Frankie is non binary. Great! Thank you! It makes perfect sense for them to be non binary because they're made up of different body parts. So who knows where those parts came from. I like it. But the reason it upsets me is because the people in charge make it feel like forced representation. Why? They 100% ignored the lesbian coding on Clawdeen. Wasn't it confirmed as well that she's a lesbian? It feels like they ignored that fact about her and made her straight and gave the LGBT+ representation to soemone else. It just feels off.
Ghoulia, why? They had her talking english instead of speaking zombie. And she's not even besties with Cleo! Why is Lagoona Cleo bestie? Ghoulia and Cleo were super close in the show.
And Cleo, what did they do to her? She's the stereotypical mean girl. Now don't get me wrong, I love the roles of mean girls. They always have the best stories to tell and the best charater developments. My favorite being Sasha from Amphibia. Not to mention how fun it is to write them. But Cleo was never the stereotypical mean girl. She was a spoiled diva, there's a difference! She was rich, pampered, and cared about looks, yes. But she was also generous and the top girl who'll support her freinds no matter what. She genuinely cared about others and spoiled her fiends as well. Didn't she make the sweet 116 birthday party for Draculura? What about the Boo York Movie? Wasn't that her movie where she shined the most? How she's willing to put her feelings aside and give everyone what they want? She's too sweet and kind to be in that mean girl role. What was that cat girls name? The orange one that loved being mean and bullied Draculura? She was the mean girl, not Cleo!
And the one thing that gets me, like really really really really reeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaly gets me. Cleo and Duce. They aren't a couple in this movie. Why? WHY!? They were the power couple of the school! They have a great relationship and a wonderful dynamic. They have nothing but love between them. The only issue they had in their relationship was class status. Duce was a lower class and that's why Cleo family didn't like him. And to add salt to that wond on my childhood is that he dates Clawdeen. Not the charater that was confirmed lesbian!!! ( Was she confirmed lesbian? I don't remember.) But it just feels wrong. Clawdeen just doesn't give me that feeling that she's into guys. Didn't they have a whole episode where she rejects every guy in her school during a speed dateing moment.
And then the representation in the show was taken away. Every monster had an accent to determine where they're from. Abby is Russian I believe. Draculura is from Transylvania. Cleo is Egyptian. Even Clawdeen had some kind of accent. It just feels off.
And the fashion. Monster High was a fashion line for dolls. Where's the fashion in the movie? Where is it?! No glitter, no ruffles, where are the 12 inch heels!?!? The over the top make up. Every charater at least had some make up. And Lagoona wasn't blue but Frankie is green?
Ok! I got that out of my system. It's just, why? How? How do you mess up a popular franchise like this?

Guilty Gear S/I
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Name: Elena Wolf (EHL-ə-nə, ə being as in “about”), or El for short
Pronouns: She/Her, They/Them (the latter only if close)
Age: 25 (in 2187)
Height: 170 cm (5'7")
Blood Type: A
Origin: England
Birthday: August 12
Hobbies: Road trips, researching magical history, collecting comic books
Likes: Her notebook, eccentricity, chocolate mice
Dislikes: Spiders, being constrained
An enigmatic, outwardly unassuming young woman that encountered Happy Chaos some time after the G4 incident. She offered him a place to rest his head, with the intention to study his magical capabilities to facilitate her goal of becoming a powerful magic user herself. Although initially wary, she has quickly come to be fascinated by him. This has gotten to the point where she sees him less as a research project and more as a close ally, and has happily accepted his offers for guidance in developing her own magical abilities. Despite herself, she’s grown to care for him - deeply, one might add.
While she gives off the vibes of a simple dreamer fuelled by the pursuit of knowledge, Elena also claims to seek magical prowess in order to “salvage her reputation”. Granted, she keeps the answer to who with hidden away from others. She’s clearly got something to prove... In truth, she just wants her family to stop branding her a failure for not bending to their every whim. Will the scars of their arbitrary demands prove to be her downfall?
Design Influences and Other Trivia:
Continuing the music theme naming, Elena is named after the band Wolf Alice. The obvious reference is her surname, but ‘Elena’ is also a loose corruption of the first name of the band’s lead singer, Ellie Rowsell. (And, yes, you could also interpret it as a reference to “Eleanor Rigby”, but that was unintentional...!)
Her shirt’s black-and-white chequers pattern (as seen in the CHARAT image) references costumes seen in the music video for “Don't Come Around Here No More” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
Her scarf is inspired by a similar accessory worn by Acht from XBlaze Code: Embryo, part of the BlazBlue series which Guilty Gear frequently references. It actually dips down a little at the back.
She has one hell of a sweet tooth, always carrying a little bag of candies with her “just in case”. There are supposed to be obvious pockets on the jacket for this reason... As you might’ve guessed from her likes, chocolate mice are her favourite.
Speaking of the jacket, while CHARAT GENESIS 2 doesn’t support viewing the back of the model, the back of the jacket sports a large, thin, white X shape; an off-brand allusion to the album covers of The xx.
The skull clip was initially just to accent the Picrew image, but I grew to like it. It gave me similar vibes to this specific The Clash shirt design:

However, once El realises the limits of her own arcane powers under Chaos’s instruction, it transforms and instead resembles the Danzig skull:

My top 5 favorite films
5: Angels and Demons - Director: Ron Howard
Based on book by Dan Brown
Synopsis: Robert, a symbologist, tries his best to stop a secret society from destroying Vatican City. He seeks to decipher various clues in the process, most of which lead him to the four altars of science.
This movie made my list as it's one of the only movies that my whole family can enjoy. It discuses subjects such as religion and history in a way that appeals to younger people as well as older generations. The film is a comfort to me as it brings fond memories being spent with my whole family.
4: The Greatest Showman - Director: Michael Gracey
Synopsis: P T Barnum becomes a worldwide sensation in the show business. His imagination and innovative ideas take him to the top of his game.
I went to see this film in the cinema 3 times when it first came out as it impacted me so much. The power of the music and acting was something I'd never experienced before. Watching a musical in the cinema allows you can feel the music and atmosphere on a level that could never be achieved at home.
3: Fantastic Mr.Fox - Director: Wes Anderson
Mr Fox, a family man, goes back to his ways of stealing, unable to resist his animal instincts. However, he finds himself trapped when three farmers decide to kill him and his kind.
Wes Anderson's use of colour drew me in the first time I saw this movie. The warm tones and symetrical framework are just some of the reasons that the cinematography is so successful. The film is also one I've enjoyed with friends so brings fond memories.
2: The Grand Budapest Hotel - Director: Wes Anderson
Gustave, a hotel care taker, befriends Moustafa, a lobby boy, in the Grand Budapest Hotel. But things take an unexpected turn when a priceless Renaissance painting is stolen.
I chose another Wes Anderson film for this list as his work has always been a favorite of mine. This film inspired me to work towards being a colourist, the use of colour theory throughout his work has aways stood out to me. The story line is sweet and relatable as well as the cinematography being outstanding.
1: Harry Potter Franchise - Directors: Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell, David Yates, Chris Columbus
Harry Potter is a film series based on the eponymous novels by British author J. K. Rowling. The series is produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and consists of eight fantasy films, beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and culminating with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
This series is top on my list because it has been with me throughout my whole life. I was gifted the box set when I was 9 years old and grew up watching both the charaters and actors develop and grow as the movies were made. The entire series transports you to another world of magic and mystery that allows the viewer to escape their everyday life.

Who is your top 5 charaters?
Werty's official top 5 husbando list. This usually doesn't change at all.
#5 Juuzou Suzuya
Tumblr media
This boy needs a hug. A really big and warm hug.
By the way, the important question is does Juuzou count as an albino? I only realized it while writing this.
But to the point. I really like Juuzou's backstory and how his "madness and murderousness" are given reasons. Juuzou is just a good character who has experienced hell. Just the kind of character who does "bad" things but who you still want to succeed. Also, he has a really good voice actor.
Juuzou's character is just well executed. And now I know I'm not the only one who likes to poke holes in them skin with a needle.
.
#4 Kanato Sakamaki
Tumblr media
Kanato is just really relatable. And I don't mean that I carry a teddy bear with me inside which I keep my mother's ashes. I mean asperger traits that Kanato clearly has.
The following asperger traits are taken from the everydayhealth website, the source material can be found here.
Fascination with certain topics, Problems expressing empathy, controlling emotions, or communicating feelings, Tendency to engage in one-sided conversations (about oneself), Lack of common sense
I think these fit the Kanato character well. He doesn't understand sarcasm, is obsessively interested in his "dolls", Not really good at showing empathy or controlling his emotions, can't stand touch and assumes others think the worst of him.
And no, I'm not going to start diagnosing Kanato now. I'm just saying that he has many traits that an Asperger person can identify with.
( Honorable mention to Idia who held the #3 spot for over a year. )
#3 DOUMA
Tumblr media
Ladies, Gentlemen and others Douma is here and he is really hot.
Werty has been a Douma simp since 2020.
Yes Douma Finally made it to this list. I have always liked Douma.
His backstory and character is just really well done. Douma has always been something that interests me. Even at the beginning, when I really hated his desing and eyebrows. But no matter what I did, I always ended up reading Douma fanfiction. I could start watching Hentai and then after half an hour I found myself reading Douma yandere writings. I still don't understand how it happened. I just really love him.
# 2 Leviathan
Tumblr media
I remember at first I hated him too. "Once again someone is making fun of us anime/manga enthusiasts" I thought.
But the more I played the game, the more relatable Leviathan's character felt. I actually didn't even know what an Otaku was until I met him.
Leviathan also has autistic traits and is one of my comfort characters. I have never identified with any character so much. He is also funny and his voice actor does a good job.
#1 Azusa Mukami
Tumblr media
Roses are red, violets are blue i love this masochistic vampire more than i ever can love you.
A poem I would recite to my boyfriend if he ever asked if I loved Azusa more than him. No wonder I'm single.
I have been an Azusa simp since 2018 or 2019.
And let's be clear right away that I like Azusa 100,00 times more than Leviathan. So there's really no competition for the number one spot. The day I say I love a some character more than Azusa I've lost my mind.
I love his personality, his backstory, how he really gets a lot of development throughout the game, and how masochistic he can be in creative ways. Also, the fact that Azusa thinks pain is love is really sweet.
His voice actor does a really good job and I can even listen to the English dub without internal bleeding.
Azusa is love Azusa is life
......
I guess I have a thing for characters with mental health problems.

Explaning Baki charaters to my friend (it is a joke but not really).
First of all, there is a lot pissing scenes. Like a lot. (+some censored monster dicks)
Baki Hanma - Very cute main character. Like every male in his family his whole body is made from his back muscle.
Hanayama Kaoru - Hobby including: drinking and getting naked in the public places.
Yujiro Hanma - I don't know how was able to impegreate a women whitout killing them. He look like demon from hentai anime but with human skin tone.
Doyle - Ginger. Idk why people like him so much. Later in the story her developed habit of making himself more disabled
Pickle - he is a caveman that was bring back to live ONLY because all other charaters become bored of fighting between themselfes.
Gaia - Honestly a "split" main character with more self control.
Mohammed Alai Junior - Lost all his stenght too become a simp.
Kozue - Baki girlfriend. I didn't liked her at first because, well autor don't really care about female charcters but one scene really made me fall in love with her.
Jack Hanma - Baki older brother, tragic backstory but this is his only character developmend he got for a realllllllllly long time.
Baki Mom - Hot af and actually a good mom. She deserve more.
Maria - she suffers only because without it her boyfriend wouldn't have any good personality traid
Biscuit Olivia - Super strong but treat prison as his house that he goes in and out whenever he wish. I don't get him. Quite smart in Baki universe. Maria is gf.
Katsumi Orochi - He someone adopted son. Actually somewath a good guy.
Doppo Orochi - he once fought a tiger. Karate master. Very sweet to his wife and good teacher.
Gerry Strydum - Yujiro bottom bitch.
Kaiou Kaku - iconic.

Personally I don't see what you see in Geordo. He seems like such a scumbag to me and is the least likable charater in the whole series. He is always trying to get her alone to push her into things of a sexual/ more romantic nature without taking how she really feels into consideration. Like he "really wants her" and thats enough for him without caring what she really wants. Honestly he is the borderline non-con villian in my mind.
I mean, it's okay if you feel like that. To each their own.
Hmmm when I think about Geordo being sexually aggressive towards Katarina, I only really just think of the anime. The manga is a much more moe-fied and toned down version of the novels, and the novels does an okay job at balancing his desires for Katarina in all aspects. I'm not saying he doesn't have that trait in the other two mediums, I just think that they aren't as intense as the anime, so as someone who consumes all three versions I just tilt my head and go "huh." Of course I'm sure there are people who read the manga and novels that still feel uncomfortable about his behavior and that's valid too.
-> light novel spoilers ahead <-
tldr, there is a lot more going on to him than just someone who offers sweet words and questionable invitations to Katarina's ears, this may not be noticeable or acceptable to some people but we get to know more about how he thinks whenever the novels puts us in his point of view. You're free to dislike him as much as you want, but I like him & don't see him as a scumbag; and here's why:
I at least find it okay that Geordo is very serious about his pursuits for her because he is aware that she is dense and will not get it until you spell it in the sky. Everyone is just walking eggshells around Katarina hoping that the girl would just develop feelings for one of them to win the harem olympics. He knows that being dealt with a good card isn't enough, so he's actively taking action in order to win her heart. I mean I don't always agree with his methods either, like the "fait accompli" line or constantly inviting her to his room alone, but really, how much of that is something he really means to do vs how much of that is his excessive flirting + our minds assuming that he really means to claim her in that way?
Lines like that are really popular with japanese fans because it makes Geordo look "sexy" and "forward", which they enjoy in their fictional stories. He knows that his position gives him an advantage so he'll try to play his cards right and use it to increase his chances in victory.
It actually reminds me of a scene from the Hamefura StoryMe game, (don't really know how canon it is but I remember the JP ver. was advertised by @/hamhura) where Geordo indirectly asked Katarina how to woo a girl he really likes, and Katarina thinking he was referring to Maria, gives all the things he usually does in order to win her heart (visit her home, give her gift, dance with her in parties, be really forward about your feelings etc). I'm not saying Katarina approves of the ways Geordo attempts to win her heart, but there's some hilarity in knowing that Geordo already had and is constantly trying all the known ways to win over a girl in the world from a young age, and still has nothing to show for it. Like no awareness, much less any *feelings* lmao. So trying to make it obvious that he is interested in her romantically and sexually seems like the next logical step to him. I mean if you go by Geordo's logic and considering the time period this takes place in, he's pretty confident that he can get Katarina to love him back and they are engaged anyways so in his head he's in safe waters to attempt to make teases about such advancements if it gives him the smallest chance that Katarina would become at least aware of him through it.
Of course I know that stuff like that won't fly here in the real world, but maybe that's why I'm so lenient personally when it comes to his (debatably) sexual teases and advances, because it's a fictional story for a japanese audience. Doesn't mean I would approve any advances like that if it happens to me, it's just that it's hard to take his actions seriously when Katarina or the story doesn't take them seriously. Like, the girl would be pushed down to a bed by RufuSora and gives her a hickey and she still thinks the man is out for her blood.
He wouldn't even be entirely wrong, knowing the identities of the characters who Katarina knows has romantic interest in her in the novels, actions does speak louder than words when it comes to her. Like I said, whether or not Geordo really means what he says when the story teases the readers with sexual implications in his words and action depends on the reader in my opinion. They are there, I wont pretend they don't but I'd argue about the level of intent depending on what scene you're talking about.
The only scenes on the top of my head where he is very abrasive towards Katarina is the "fait accompli" scene, the Book scene form the anime (S1 EP8), saying he wants to lock her in his room (LN6) and the multiple times Geordo had invited her in his room at night alone (LN6 and LN8, i think).
I've already explained why I am okay with both Keith and Geordo's Book scenes from episode 8 of the first season because they are accurate representations of an exaggerated and unhinged versions of their desires towards Katarina so I won't bore you with those details again.
He mentioned in Volume 6 that he wants to lock Katarina in his room forever and keep her light to himself, which alarmed a few people when the book came out, but he said that in a moment where he feels super grateful and loving towards her because she knew how tired he was despite his fake face and without even saying anything. It was a moment where he felt so infatuated towards her that he wished the moment where he gets to rest in her arms would last forever, thus he made such a comment. I make it sound more dramatic than it was in Volume 6, it was just a quick comment honestly lmao.
For people who don't read the novels, that last part looks very sus and raises a few red flags I know, but to be fair we can't definitively say what his intentions are because Katarina never commits to those visits. Katarina has actually become wary of those invitations, because Keith and Mary have warned her that Geordo's intentions are sexual, but I'm not really trusting the word of the two people who are most distrustful and antagonistic to Geordo. They could be right, of course, but who can really say? We assume that they are correct because they care about Katarina and are wary of Geordo, but hamefura('s novels) is full of unreliable narrators anyways, it's not like Keith or Mary would consider the possibility of it being anything else because when it comes to the third prince they always fear the worst case scenario.
If you think about it, Geordo is probably aware that winning her over with a "fait accompli" won't work at all because it'll put him in a position that will make other people push him for the throne (which he doesn't want) or could ruin his reputation in high society if Katarina or her family react to it negatively. I'm not Geordo though, so I can't really say if he even have such fears and doubts in the first place, that's just my assessment based on the obstacles he has. On the outside he is really sure of himself and confident (which he arguably deserves) and on the inside he is very careful and insecure when it comes to Katarina.
Also like, spoilers but for someone who is very forward when it comes to his physical advances, Geordo is super weak when he is in the receiving end of those touches. He gets super embarrassed and easily flustered when its Katarina who is touching him, as if implying that to some extent that he's all just talk lmao.
I don't really agree that Geordo doesn't care about what Katarina feels at all, in fact his inner dilemma in the novels is that he doesn't know what to do because in every step he takes he might do something that could ruin his image in Katarina's eyes, be it pursuing or abandoning the throne or looking like a monster in front of her. He even halts his plans to make advances towards her during the Keith Kidnapping Arc, but threw it away because he knows how much finding Keith means to Katarina. He puts what Katarina want and doesn't want as his priority, so when what she feels is unclear that's when he acts on his own intuition. The only reason Geordo feels so confident to advance towards her sexually is because Katarina never rejected him before (because she doesn't know what they mean, and all of this is for the sake of simply making her aware in the first place)
I'm not trying to make anyone think that one has to read all the books in order to understand him, I think the manga does okay at conveying his feelings too. The anime really prioritizes on making him look "sexy" for the japanese female audience, so anything he does is sprinkled with spice whether we like it or not.
I'm sorry if it seems like I'm overanalyzing all his actions just to justify them, everyone has the right to be uncomfortable with his advances if it seems too much for you. It's just that his actions, while over the top and unnecessary, are done to please the type of audience that hamefura caters to, and it's hard to take him completely seriously when the story doesn't either in my opinion. Doesn't mean he's right or that any of it is okay, but it's his method of trying to put a dent on Katarina's bakashield. When you're in a race versus your friends who Katarina all loves equally, he's gonna use whatever card he can get in order to win.
I like Geordo; I like how much of his feelings for Katarina forces him to reexamine himself and realize that he isn't a perfect prince at all, that he has lots of problems and flaws that he needs to work out in order to be someone worthy of her. I like the way he falls more and more in love with her in every interaction they have because he finally gets to have a genuinely and caring interaction with someone. I like how Geordo wants to do better and be better for Katarina and the people around him, and he wants to be able to thank Katarina directly for that through being able to show his love. I like that despite how much of a chad he acts in front of her, he's a blushing mess at the thought of Katarina returning his feelings. I find it funny when his "sexual advances" fails and gets thwarted because he's trying them on the densest person and most protected lady to ever live. I like how Geordo is so head-over-heals in love with her and how much comfort and warmth she brings to him by simply being her caring and bubbly self.
I guess it's just a matter of different perspectives. If you find him unlikeable or a villain, then you do you. I try to explain why I personally excuse his actions, but I know it wont fly with everyone. We all see each character differently and absorb the material in different ways. In fact it's probably a bad idea for me to defend him with material that isn't the anime nor manga yet lmao. I mean I'm not that much of a fan of Mary anymore, and I'm kinda scared and wary of her, but I know people don't see her the way I do and I'm okay with that.
Maybe its just me, who is the kind of person who just goes with the flow and doesn't think too hard because it's all fiction anyways
It's hard to tell all this from simply watching the anime, so I laid all my feelings down in hopes that someone out there would understand why I like him so much.
Thank you for the ask, you can ask more questions or call me out if I said anything insensitive or wrong, I know a lot of this is me overanalyzing things which might look like I'm jus stretching. As someone who is aware of the things to come in Hamefura X, I can say that I am both excited and nervous as to how everyone will react for the direction of Geordo's character.

Was wasting my time overthinking SG one again.
And you know what? The writers made Kara a monster.
Explanation.
They made her all the hope, love and compassion bullshit along with being the perfect usamerican girl what basically means there was no place for making big mistakes or bigass questionable decisions, what immediately erased all place for  inner conflict and character development.
Do you know Kara’s character flaws? Being naive, clumsy, irresponsible in the punching first then thinking way, and in a lot of times dumbed down so other characters could have shined aka being “important for the plot”.
Aka, all the things that made Kara interesting in comic books (feeling like an outsider with no real home, feeling superior to humans, having anger issues and being sometimes simply brutal among others) were erased.
Basically, Kara in the show, doing something super questionable would immediatelly destroyed her character or made her out of character.
Do you know why RedKrypotniteKara and RedDaughter are so popular and liked? Because they both acted OUT OF CHARATER and done things Normal Kara would have never done. They could have, because RedKara was not herself and RedDaughter was not her (seriously, I still don’t know what she was exactly and what really happened to her?) and the viewers were perfectly aware of it. That’s why they both were entertaining.
And that’s why so many people hoped for RedLantern Kara on some point, because it could have explored new dimensions of Kara’s charatcer. And well, guess we all were clowns more times than one *sad violin music*
My point is, that in the end, there seriously was no Kara’s character development and we stayed with that sweet, happy Kara we oh so loved, but unfortunatelly, she stayed one dimensional when you think about it.
Seriously her BIGGEST inner conflict was hidding her Supergirl identity? Like? And once again, it was NOT about her alien side,  it was not Kara Danvers The Human vs Kara Zor El, but Kara Danvers vs Supergirl. Kara Zor El was forever ignored while IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN HER BIGGEST INNER CONFLICT.
You know, even Good Boy Captain America made some BIG MORALLY QUESTIONABLE SHIT but Kara couldn’t have. Because if she had, the image of high and mighty hero would have gone to shit. I mean, it sometimes did, especially when the show ignored her hypocirsy and double standards (along with other superfriends), but it was writers writing problems.
Also, seriously, what were here conflicts? The fact she didn’t tell Lobotomizer her secret she had every right to keep and then felt sad and responsible when Lena went bananas? And instead of struggling to keep herself in check without throwing Lena outside the window and ending the problem, she made herself the villain and felt responsible for grown ass bitch’es tantrums. S4 was what? Aside of being horrible reporter and feel bad about RedDaughter. S3? Errm, feeling bad for having a human heart? S2 was actually dealing with her xenophobia. S1 was about her struggling between being the human and being the superhero.
But in the end the show told us the pro-human propaganda while trying to force an alien superhero into a human form and you know? They think they succeeded.
I’m just perfectly sure it was not what I wanted to see.

Ok I love how we all thought Chloe was getting charater development in season two by getting the bee miraculous and Lila or kagami where going to be the main antagonist to marinette or society (other than hawkmoth and mayura obviously) BUT NOW Chloe is worse than ever shes lost her hope in ladybug which was kinda a moral compass for her now Chloe is out for blood there may be another 360 again but atm not feeling that vibe but with Zoe being around I also feel Chloe no longer constantly getting her way and even told off (omg shock a little brat being told off) so I think she’ll turn to something like hawkmoth to validate her but yea that’s what I’m thinking AND CHLOE IS HILARIOUS with the charm they’ll just make her a source of comedy which is fun also theyll probs bring back lila although she’s kinda M.I.a atm and kagami is a sweet heart and she’s very lovable now so yea I feel Chloe isn’t going to get very redeemed other than just being a walking joke

Hey, not sure if anyone is interested or not, but I made some shitty self-insert OC’s for each of the Danganronpa main games! (Avatar maker by Charat, Report card template by JapanYoshi on DeviantArt)
Tumblr media
Haya grew up in a loving household, but one that struggled financially. She spent a lot of her childhood writing, and developed a talent for scriptwriting because of her father’s love for horror movies. She is quiet and withdrawn but speaks her mind when she thinks she needs to- this mostly includes trying to get Byakuya to shut up. The two have a very love-hate relationship.
Tumblr media
Rini is like the human version of a cat. She’s aloof but loving, and mostly hangs around for the food and attention. She loves to be pet like a cat and doesn’t really understand the concept of personal space. She has adopted many cats that have been surrendered to shelters for bad behavior only to reform them into the sweetest cats imaginable. Gundham refers to her as the Guardian of Cats and she wears the title with pride.
Tumblr media
Sato’s parents died when she was three years old, and she was sent to live in a nursing home with her grandparents. She has since become a caretaker for the residents of the nursing home- she cooks them meals, plays games with them, and helps them throughout their day. She also began volunteering at hospitals and homeless shelters, and made her name as the sweetest girl in Japan. Her nursing home patients were the one to come up with her title. Despite her sweet side, she would often pull silly pranks on the residents for fun and to relieve stress. Because of this, she gets along surprisingly well with Kokichi. She also loves helping Kirumi with chores throughout the day and the two are very close.

Just finished reading all of Justice League Odyssey and I have thoughts...
(This is more for me to get thoughts out of my head, but if you do have a read of the below I’ll warn you it’s not very coherent.)
So at the premise I was really hopeful, I liked the core four of Cyborg, Jessica Cruz, Starfire, and Azrael, and I liked this story would encompass very little of the A-list heroes, because I thought that would mean these guys get some genuine character development and a new classic story for us to dissect. Overall, it wasn’t a complete flop, but I certainly did not see all of the core 4 getting the same opportunity for growth. In fact both Azrael and Starfire kinda got shat on most of the time....
General Plot:
The basic plot is that Darkseid is trying grab power blah blah blah, and is manipulating Cyborg, Azrael, and Starfire into getting the objects of power he needs from within the ghost sector....
The first 10 issues of plot I liked (on the whole), there was tension and looming fear of what Darkseid was up to... I enjoyed meeting species who worshipped the others as gods, and the hijinks they got up to getting used to one another. However by issue 12 (SPOILERS) Azrael, Starfire, and Cyborg are turned into Darkseids new (new) gods, then the plot takes a whole new turn (and yes it is a new volume but hear me out...)
Basically jess gets killed by Darkseid, only for her corpse to be transported to a ship on the edge of the universe along with Queen Blackfire, and a black cube (it’s an Eskaton, a creature that’s aim is to kill Darkseid FYI). Basically from this point forward it becomes a time travel story and we see nothing of Azrael and Starfire for multiple issues, and only see Cyborg like once an issue... only to prop up jess.
We then see Jess lead a new team of Her, Blackfire, Dex Starr, Orion, Hax, Gamma Knife, and Epoch. Now, I actually like this group together, they grate on each other, but all pull together, they have interesting interactions and honestly were fun to read.
Long story short Epoch was basically building a time machine to try and stop Darkseid from ending the universe. He recruits the others to help finish it while holding Darkseid off. But it turns out this is too much for Epoch, as he has not thought of every possible thing that might go wrong with his changes, and Jess calls him out. He gets annoyed, sends Jess back in time, then dies at Darkseids hand anyway (Don’t worry, Jess comes back within an issue lol).
I can’t be arsed to go into every detail but the team use some time travel to bring back the core 4 from the past prior to their turning into new gods, and they fight Darkseid who retreats... (I’m positive this is to set up his use in a next major multi-issue release). Jess goes to see the Green Lanterns, Orion and Azrael takes the newbies to Darkseid, and Cyborg and Starfire go to warn the justice league on Earth.
So this summary leaves absolutely loads out, but I don’t want to make this longer than it already is. A lot of plot happens in very few issues. But overall, the last 3rd compacted loads in a very short amount of time. They obviously had loads of ends to tie but not enough issues to do it justice as they had been cancelled.
For example, we never go back to those planets to see them freed from the beginning. Never see how Tamaran fares (what’s up with Kory no longer being bothered by #25 about going to Tamaran lol. That was her whole reason for going to the ghost sector in the first place).
But to be honest, I can live with this, they had a limited time to tell a story and they did their best. The biggest gripe for me was the characters...
Jess:
Basically this story became about her. Justice League Odyssey became Jessica Cruz Odyssey. I do like her a lot, and I liked seeing the progression of her character, but it saddens me they writers obviously favoured her at the expense of the other 3. Why can’t we lift her and the others up. A lot of the comic became “I’m right because the protagonist to progress the plot” and often was right over other characters. Also the whole omega power thing was funny and weird. “The ring was crushed into my hand and absorbed the omega blast from Darkseid so now I absorbed the residual energy which brought me back to life...”
Cyborg:
He got the 2nd best development in the story. Like he does fall for Darkseids plan, but somehow because he is able to have this internal struggle with himself when changed he can communicate with Jess and switch sides. Him and Jess apparently connect a lot, which is nice I guess, but also a bit weird. Like we only saw you working together for a 3rd of the issues so their bond sort of feels unearned to me (Yes they had that mind message for a bit but Jess couldn’t have been 100% sure that was really him and not her own thought, she can’t use that to get close to him). In my opinion that bond should have been shown with Kory more (they do this at the beginning, then it falls off teh radar.)
But yet again we barely see him after his transformation, I would have liked to have seen more of him (and maybe we would have if it weren’t for the cancellation). There is very little character arc apart from him fighting through his godly body.
Starfire:
Oh my sweet summer child. WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU. Okay, advantages are that she wasn’t sexualised (I can’t believe I had to note that down as a positive). She had some of her characteristic emotional beliefs and that she can be hot headed. That was great! However, they also kept referring to her as a mess. Like towards the end of act 1 I can see that because she was succumbing to the power. But they say she’s been a mess since the beginning and it didn’t feel seen through her actions.
She gets supposedly healed in I think #3, but that was Darkseid, so she wasn’t healed at all, just negative symptoms subsided. They never revisit this dodgy old man who evidently doesn’t take the power away from her... Like lets have a convo on that.
I don’t know, they just make her out to be completely non-functional for most of this, even before she succumbs to her new powers, and I didn’t like it. Especially because she yet again had exactly 0 arc to get over this supposed negative and become a better person from the experience. Also... her and Blackfire trying to kill each other, then the other being horrified when they both do it was just badly written. They’ve been at this tug of war for a long time now guys... They should have spats but not keep trying to kill each other.
Also, where was her struggle against the control of Darkseid? Why is she not strong enough? Nope instead we saw New God Starfire for one issue, ad Blackfire killed her immediately.
Tldr: WHERE WAS THE CHARATER DEVELOPMENT? She was just a plot device...
Azrael:
Basically similar stuff to Starfire. He was an interesting character that was reduced to a plot device that got killed off for most of the latter part of the series. He did not get a decent character progression (the more he was under control by Darkseid the nicer of a guy he became lol).
He nearly had this good b-plot of him and Rapture (somebody who kinda got underused), but then after act 1 that was thrown out for Jess and the time travellers lol.
He also in my mind got no character development and really didn’t need to be there.
Basically Starfire and Azrael could have been replaced by 2 other heroes, and it would have very little impact on the plot. Which is really my biggest grievance. I can handle dodgy plots if the characters go through an experience that makes them better heroes. But we saw none of that. Overall it was a shame. There was some great potential, but the core characters were plot devices to prop Jess up (and I do like Jess), which sucked. I’m hoping wherever the characters go next they underused ones get some proper time to shine.

OOOOOOOO! You writing for other charaters now? Cuz, here are some bois I'd like to see your take on! Pick and choose who you'd please: Zombieman, Child Emperor, Tatsumkai, Sonic, Flashy Flash, Mumen Rider, King and, (one I'd really like to see) Sweet Mask. Thanks, and happy early birthday!
Thank you~! And lmao, my birthday was like, a month ago now;; I swear my attention span is hella weak- I see a shiny thing and I
Z I P
Outta my work and go over to look at it for the next 3 days.
And anon… dear anon…
I will do ALL OF THEM.
Tumblr media
MUMEN RIDER:
If I’m being honest? I honestly hated him when he was first introduced.
He cycled as fast as he could to confront the Paradisers, had a moment where he parked his bike, (a bit awkward, but I faintly enjoyed the sight) pulled off a show of confidence that implied that he knew the gravity of the situation and has a way of dealing with it effectively (the common subversive tactic: weak looking character has tremendous strength) and then got DECKED ON with one hit, showing that it was just shallow hot air he couldn’t back up.
And then he got credit for the work that Saitama did. (Albeit unintentionally.)
Not… the greatest first impression. I thought he was an overconfident guy who was playing hero, uncomprehending of the danger that he puts himself in for the sake of living in an idealised fantasy that since he’s the protagonist, since he’s the one with determination and a heart of gold, it’ll all work out. Him cycling towards the Sea King at full throttle, with him apparently not taking the hint from the Paradisers, drove that belief home to me even more.
(Wow, I sound like Garou here. :o…)
And then he launched into his spiel.
How he felt like he wasn’t good enough to take the promotion, how he knows, better than anyone, that he’s weak. That yes, he might not win- might even get killed for his fruitless efforts for it, but what matters is that he tries. Not because he feels like he can pull it off eventually, or that the monsters will submit to how ~brave~ he is, but because it’s just important to try in the face of overwhelming odds, if it means that others have a slightly better chance of surviving because of it. Willing to die just so others won’t, even when you’re dismissed as a weakling both in the present and after death.
And that made me doubt about what I thought of him.
It wasn’t until I saw him trying to convince TTM to leave Garou alone, trying to intervene when Garou attacked him, and getting his face smashed repeatedly into the concrete sidewalk for his efforts by the same man he tried to defend, that I was utterly convinced that Mumen was genuinely heroic.
This may be a little dark, but I have a feeling that Mumen’s sense of justice doesn’t entirely stem from his selfless nature, but also from feelings of worthlessness. That he goes above and beyond to be a hardworking hero because he feels he has no worth if he dares do otherwise. The Christmas extra chapter in the manga sort of sparked this belief for me. If Mumen’s sense of justice was purely selfless, he’d mention other options (e.g. Friends inviting him out, new bistro downtown, setting up a mini Christmas tree and treating himself to a nice present) and maybe consider injecting some time for himself for them, if not on Christmas day, then the day before or after. Instead, he says with a smile, that he’ll be patrolling the streets for danger with no allusion to his personal life. And that lingering suspicion still sticks to me to this day.
Tumblr media
CHILD EMPEROR:
First impression? I didn’t think too much of him, because I didn’t have much reason to. Very little screen time in the early manga/anime didn’t get me to form much of an attachment or investment in his character.
But later on? I like him! A kid prodigy, but it’s made clear time and time again that he still has room to improve, and I’ve always been a big fan of personal growth and developing self-reflection/awareness in stories. The fact that he wasn’t a stuck-up brat who thought he knew everything, and (taking into account that he’s literally 10 years old) still had a great deal of growth ahead of him in terms of the technological and the personal…
Yeah. I’m definitely holding out my hope for seeing a side story dedicated to him.
If I had the luck to choose the idea for the plot, I would love to see what sparked his love for technology, his mishaps and successes and so-so’s when it came to developing his skills and his gadgets. I want to be able to see the people around him reacting with awe and confusion over this kid hurriedly drawing up complex diagrams on a chalkboard board for different ideas before they leave his mind, which gadgets he’s put the most work in, the most time on, and is proud of, and finally; if he had a snobby phase and is ashamed of it. Bonus points if he took a break from his work to read up on how to be more like a mature adult so that older people will take him more seriously outside of being an inventor.
Tumblr media
SONIC:
I, uh… honestly don’t think too much of him? He never really stuck with me.
Conversely… I do, however, like the few times we get the spotlight shined on him. He’s a badass to watch, and I laughed and cringed when the infamous ‘accidental punch’ scene came up on my screen. Considering the fact that I watched the anime first before the manga, I wasn’t anticipating it at all.
Which makes me glad in this case! The animated scene feels way more impactful and memorable than the manga version. I felt the build up and the rapidly increasing dread rise in me as I saw Saitama’s fist slowly punch Sonic’s unmentionables. Animating the- ahem- impact of his punch done me in and seared that scene into my mind.
Hmm… I feel like Sonic’s a more rebellious version of Flash, whilst also having been influenced by him. The both of them enjoy taking care of themselves in more luxurious ways, with their glossy hair and refusal to be filthy or rough in any way (e.g. Flash taking good care of his hair in the shower, Sonic opting to cook the monster cells and serve them tastefully before eating them) but I feel like Sonic likes rebelling more outwardly towards how he’s been trained and conditioned as a ninja compared to Flash. He just gives off that vibe~
Expanding on that, I feel like he’s more self-reflective and subtle in his thoughts. Flash is sort of absorbed in his own business and narrow range of experiences (not that I’m blaming him: he’s a busy man) while Sonic is more rooted to reality, and is a little more mellowed out to show for it. In the audio CDs, he gains a new understanding of what Saitama is forced to go through and respects him more as a person than just a milestone to beat, and he overcomes his trauma of Saitama ‘punching him’ by accepting what happened and simply keeping the possibility of it happening again in mind; not to torture himself or blame himself for being ‘weak,’ but to acknowledge what he’s fearful of and accepting it, allowing him to move on.
Tumblr media
FLASHY FLASH:
I was gunning hard for him to be a cold-blooded woman assassin who wants to look elegant and deadly at the same time. Femme fatale, minus the seduction.
I was a little disappointed when he turned out to be a guy, and more so when he riled up Metal Bat with his insults while telling them to cut it out (counter intuitive, but it wouldn’t have been so bad if I wanted to see that. But I didn’t want to see it so lmao-) so, apart from his cool character design, I was a little turned off in my investment in him.
I was hoping that they kept the name ‘Lightspeed Flash’ instead of Flashy Flash. Yes, I know that they’re pretty much the same in terms of meaning, but the former just sounds more dignified. Considering he’s a man who takes himself seriously in both his work and appearance, I feel like it’s more in character for him to suggest a hero name that sounds more impressive, but still shows that sort of silliness underneath when you look closely.
He gained back some of my respect for him when he directly told Tatsumaki off for stealing his kill and talking down on him. That takes mad guts and I was wondering which of the heroes are willing to risk a serious fight with her to prove that they’re not one to be trifled with.
(Metal Bat was a little different in that regard: at the time, I just saw him as another affectionate parody of the delinquent trope. Nice contrast to the rest of the older, calmer heroes, but a little generic.)
Flashy Flash… yeah. I feel like he’s willfully disconnected himself from the world both emotionally and socially. Not because he’s afraid, but because he thinks it’s useless. He’s already seen the worst of it thanks to his upbringing, so there’s no point in putting in effort to go out and explore just to discover what else is wrong with the world.
I also think that, like Tatsumaki, he feels more than competent on his own and believes doesn’t need any outside help or interference. Hence, anyone who doesn’t meet his personal standards immediately has their opinions and suggestions of him dismissed or not truly considered with respect. He thinks he knows what’s best, even when there’s opinions screaming that he’s not, because he doesn’t respect others that way.
Tumblr media
KING:
OOF- Okay, I was actually pretty ambivalent about him.
I thought he was cool when he intimidated the Tongue monster into submission, then thought he was an egotistical, vain hero when confronted by the G4 monster, then thought he was a pitiful, cowardly man forced to flee out of necessity, and then thought he was an endearing puppy when he realized just who Saitama is to him.
And. Hm.
King is… a very genuine man. I like him. Like Mumen Rider, he’s willing to put himself on the line to protect others. What makes me a little conflicted is if he’s more, the same, or less heroic than Mumen.
More: He has absolutely nothing to defend himself with in terms of physical skills or strength. His luck is his only maxed out stat in the hero game he’s obliged to play, and he’d rather be left alone, but he still puts his life on the line to help others, even when he’s scared witless.
Less: He does have his awe inspiring, fear inducing reputation that can neutralise the monster threats more often than not, and is aware of this, using it to his advantage. So maybe he’s a little less courageous since he knows it will work in his favour more often than not.
My take on him…  King strikes me as a good man. In a normal, monsterless world, he won’t be the kind who’ll fearlessly charge into battle against terrorists, or pull off any awe inspiring feats by himself by passing life saving legislations; this man isn’t interested in grand scale heroics and would rather support those who are interested and are good at it.
No, King strikes me as a man who wants to keep to himself and offer his sincere help to those who manages to become good friends with this shy man. He may be quaking in his boots at imminent danger, but he’ll still try to stand up for what’s right when someone else is being taken advantage of, even if he’s not entirely sure of what he’s doing.
Tumblr media
AMAI MASK:
(RECENT WEBCOMIC SPOILERS!!)
I never cared much for Amai until now.
I can’t imagine anything more devastating than working yourself down to the bone to protect and give people hope, to cultivate others into what it means to be a true hero, only to realize the people you worked so hard for was just as hideous as you used to be. This man worked so hard, and him protecting the people he cared about wasn’t enough to deter them from reacting with horror and disgust. It wasn’t even five minutes until the first of his ungrateful ‘fans’ tried stoning him.
Thank God Saitama intervened… the look on his face after he was called a cool guy was both ugly cute and heart wrenching. He may have been called dreamy or inspirational by the adoring masses, but being broken down to the very thing that you’ve been ashamed and fearful of your entire life, and still having someone who sees you as someone worthwhile must’ve meant the world to Amai. He’s a monster, yes, but he kept a vice grip on his morals and never let them go, even when his grip on them was weakening with every breath he took.
I also liked the way that ONE written his rise to fame. The build-up and anticipation surrounding how he looked behind the mask, Amai himself being bitter over the vanity of the public, learning to accept it, and gradually became obsessed with embodying the symbol of justice- this time, where everyone can see it. But it wasn’t on his own terms, no; instead of being seen as the ugly but virtuous man before, he has to present himself as a handsome idol, instead of being loved and revered for who he truly is; ugly and all. That it’s not a defect.
And I felt pity for him when I realized that’s what happened.
My opinion and takes (interpretations) of him? He’s interesting, to put it lightly.
If I think more on it, I feel like he’s losing himself to his delusions. It’s ironic: someone focusing on saving the hearts of others, yet all they can see is themselves.
True to the series, Amai reminds me of Genos. Of what Genos would’ve turned out to be if he was kept alone with no one he can truly connect with. No one who can remind him of the sweeter things in life that don’t matter. No one you have a personal, deep connection with to return home to.
Amai strikes me as a man who’s so focused on eliminating evil that he sees it everywhere, no matter how small or large it is, or if it even exists. If someone doesn’t live up to his standards or sees what he sees, he immediately has this sort of insurmountable, unseen distance from them that can’t be easily crossed.
In all honesty, I’m intrigued and worried for him. Part of my indulgent ideas for him is that he’s slowly starting to hallucinate and had started monsterize from the inside for a long, long while, and it’s only by the Association’s dependence on him and his adoring fans that keeps preserving the man that he used to be when he was purely heroic, but hideous. And even then, it’s not enough.
I feel like he’s painted himself in a corner where he feels it’s too late to try and get help for his condition, instead desperately searching for someone who can take his place. He knows how important a symbol is, and if he had the choice, would keep it up as long as he lives, but his passion for it isn’t enough to drive off what he’s becoming.
And he was right.
Tumblr media
ZOMBIEMAN:
I may have done Zombieman already, but I also realise that I’ve missed out on some things that I wanted to include~
In contrast to Amai, Zombieman strikes me as the type of guy who’s a sort of ‘Frankenstein’s Monster’ character. Unlike the book character, Zombieman is in a society that accepts, reveres, and adores him for all he does despite his questionable history and to what degree he is ‘human.’ He doesn’t seem to believe that what he is makes up for who he is, and anyone who thinks otherwise will earn his ire; but again, like Frankenstein’s monster, he knows it’s a part of him, and that it’s still a source of discomfort for him. He needs to get that skeleton out of his closet for him to truly enjoy life.
Tumblr media
TATSUMAKI:
Honestly, I didn’t notice too much of her character until much, much later in the manga. Prior to that, I admired her ability to take care of the worst threats by herself. Soloist heroes and protagonists were always a soft spot of mine: learning to handle the worst of what life had to throw at you and being good at it, but not necessarily good at taking care of your emotional and mental wellbeing, confiding in others about that, and showing that it’s okay to be vulnerable or lost or flawed, and endeavoring to fix that?
Yesss. Good trope. One of my favorites.
So, what finally caught my attention from her?
Her fight with Psykos.
I was sort of seething with the way Psykos was chilling smugly in her underground lair. Her plan was smart, but the way she was so self-assured and the way she thinks she’s above others; human and monster alike, sipping wine all the while?
That irritated me a lot.
So, to see Tatsumaki rip her from her cozy room and into the fray of the battle, coercing her into spilling intel by twisting her limbs and body each and every way to force it out, and striking fear into her heart with that sadistic, predatory smile of hers?
I loved it. Whoo!
As for takes… I’m not sure if I have any on her to be honest! At least, not one that isn’t already canon. She believes that you shouldn’t rely on others to become strong, or to save you, and has lived up to that idea by herself. She can back up her words and I admire that.
I do feel a little sorry for her, considering what she’s gone through. As much as I agree with her, sometimes she can take it too far.
I was a little irked by her showing little to no concern for shielding her team mates from getting crushed underneath the rubble of a building, with Darkshine stepping in to protect them, but I suppose she had a point; you have to take care of yourself on the battlefield.
Still; her total lack of concern left me a little perturbed.
This was curbed a bit by her refusing to uproot the association until she knew Tareo was safe; I feel like that added more character to her in the manga, as opposed to the webcomic.
In conclusion: All of these characters are good. UoU! Murata and One are great writers, and they made them feel fleshed out and distinct from each other in almost every way possible whilst keeping them believable. And I love them for it. :3

HOO The Son of Neptune
So recently i’ve done a “review” of The Lost Hero and so i decided to do it again for the Son of Neptune because it feels good to vent somewhere ^^
also, once again, just because i criticize it, it doesn’t mean i didn’t like this book. In fact I actually liked it way more than The Lost Hero (the lack of Jiper will do that to you ^^)
Anyway lets go !
THINGS I DIDNT LIKE :
- Hazel’s Big Secret. Dont get me wrong, i love her and her backstory is really interesting, but like...The Girl Who Has A Big Secret That She Hides Because If People Knew Surely They Would Hate Her Forever....its so rebondant with Piper’s story in the last book. So yeah, i admit, it made me roll my eyes a few times.
- The age difference between Hazel and Frank. Knowing tumblr, im probably not the only one thinking this ^^ but yeah, while a 13 years old with a 16 years old is not the end of the world, it still made me extremely uncomfy at times, especially when Frank was rambling on how hot Hazel was like please stop X( and the fact that absolutely no one in the book thinks there is anything wrong or even weird with that like seriously ??
- Percy losing the Achille Curse. Yeah, i get that he had to lose it at some point, because if he was invulnerable all the time it would be too easy, but I just wish it could have been explored more, you know ? Like it was completely cast away with a plot convenience and never thought about again, while in The Last Olympian, everyone was saying how horrible and how much a curse it was, like im sure there were so many interesting things to do with it...
- The fact that they are all just too Good. Not in the sense that they’re badasses and all of that, but like how every time, the heroes always make the right moral decision. Im putting it there because thats the scene with Ella that did it for me...When they all decide instantly they wont capture her, even tho the Blind Guy would have told them everything they needed to know TO SAVE THE WORLD if they did, and that none of them ever really liked harpies in the first place...Like none of them even CONSIDER it !! Even Frank who is supposed to be the one willing to make hard decision for the greater good !! I dont know it just really irked me. I love charaters having to bend their morals or making difficult decision and mystakes, thats always what make them interesting !
- Percy already considering New Rome as his Family. It just...doesnt make sense. He spent what ? One day here ? Two at most ? And some of them wanted him dead ??? Why would he ever thought of them as his family as much as Camp Half Blood that fast ????  I know its maybe a little thing, but it shows that once again, having all the character and relationship development happen in the course of a few days make them rushed !
THINGS I LIKED  :
- Percy Jackson. I literaly had to stop reading when I saw his name in the first page because it made me too excited and i was smiling like an idiot while reading his chapters. I really hadnt realised how much i missed him until this moment !! Hes still so badass and kind and brave and smart and i love him so much !!! and seeing him in other people’s POV ?? AMAZING !!! everyone thinks hes a snack and thats what he deserves ^^ (and the scene where everyone waas omg its Ares bow before him and he was just like fuck this guy was Epic XD)
- Frank : a baby ^^ but seriously i really really like him. He has a lot of potential here, with how smart and strategic he can be (also his capacities as a leader), and i loved to see a perspective from a child of Ares who is  just too nice for his own good, it was really intersting (i would love for him to meet Clarisse lol). And his grandma ? A Queen.
 - Hazel. Yes this time, i liked of all the trio. I admit i was a bit hard on her at first because i kept thinking “if you wanted a child of Hades to be one of the Seven, why not Nico ??” because yes i really wanted to see more Nico and to have him be a main :( but anyway, i rapidly warmed up to her, she s so fucking badass and brave and she deserves the best ever <3 Also she has the best Horse lol (if we dont count Blackjack because hes a pegasus of course).
- Reyna : a Badass Queen. Jiper is gonna hurt her so much, i can smell it from here, and thats just one more reason to hate this couple...But really shes such a good leader, strong and firm but willing to listen and compromise. I love her !!
- Nico. I love him so much and he deserves to be more present !! Also now hes a prisonner like can someone other than Hazel be worried about that please ??? And seeing him as a big brother was so sweet !!
- Percabeth. Well we didnt see much but the little glimpses we had...Percy only remembering Annabeths name...swoon
- Frazel. Like i said earlier i really didnt like their age difference but their dynamic is really great. They have so much respect and admiration for one another, and it didnt feel forced at all, it feels good to have a couple like that from time to time ^^
- New Rome. I really loved getting to explore this. The other aspects of the Gods, their way of living...It was really really interesting to see. It brings a whole new and fesh perspective on the mythologie and what does it mean to be a halfblood and i loved it.
- The scene where Percy calls his mum. It was such a great emotional scene to me. Like in the mids off al the crazy stuff with saving the world and fighting monsters, Percy calling his mum is the scene that really reminds the reader that yeah, hes really badass and all but hes also a sixteen years old who disappeared for months and who needs his mum. It really humanizes him and brings the reader back to “reality” in such a raw way and yeah...Almost bought tears to my eyes...
Ok I think that was it. Feel free to discuss it (respectfully of course) ^^.

The first person that came to mind was @supernatural-sanctuary, but that’s cus he’s the love of my life, who I love very very much and keep talking to 24/7, so they’re all the time in my mind, whoops. Really, though they have all the best ideas for AUs, threads, and just his OCs are wonderful and I just love his brain a lot, go give him some love now
But fair enough, since I’m always talking about them I won’t count that as one and I’ll say something nice about someone else!
So let’s talk about @mxndanemagic! She’s so adorable and I love her OCs as well!! I love to see how Murder Aunt and Aiko interact and the cute friendship Angelo and Ella have! Not to mention the mun is very sweet as well!
⚜ Have you ever met anyone from RP in real life?

I’m from Brazil and most of you are from the US or other countries, so it would be really hard to meet anyone from tumblr for me... though actually I’ve met some people I used to rp a long time ago, not from tumblr though, from another site, where I got started rping. One of them became my sister’s boyfriend at the time and the other one was just a friend of mine and when I met her we just spend an entire day walking around a mall eating ice cream, she was from another state, that’s why that’s all we managed to do, but it was very fun!

Hmmm... I think exploring all different kinds of situations I can put my OCs in... I love writing with other people because the story will always go somewhere I’m not expecting and just see my muses growing and doing their own stuff and surprising me more and more and getting a chance to know them more and have fun with others is the best thing! I mean sometimes you can just write about your muses being complete dorks, or just write them crying and being sad, you can use it to make yourself feel better or you can have all this stuff you wrote about your characters and suddenly notice you have a really well developed child right in front of you and be proud of your creation.
Like, damn, when would I ever think about my character wanting to remodel her whole house and think that would be a fun idea to explore with someone?
RP just help you explore all kinds of scenes with your charaters, even when they’re really random and I love that. I love seeing my OCs interact with other people, I love the reaction I get from others when they meet them, I love to see everything rping helped me create, because I know that if I wasn’t writing it here I wouldn’t really develop neither of these characters as much as they are developed.
