I can't believe we don't have at least one LCFxTanaka-kun crossover.

Like, we have a protagonist who is a failed lazy ass and yet, we haven't thought on putting him in the same space that the lazy king, Tanaka.

Just imagine a highschool AU where they all go to the same school and:

• Og!Cale overhears someone talking about "that guy tanaka from the other class" who is "so lazy even his music slows down" and has a brilliant idea.

• One day, Tanaka, Otta and some of their friends stay after class because someone told them that "that punk guy Henituse from the other class" wants to meet with Tanaka. They all expect a scary angry dude seeking a fight.

• Instead, they get a weirdly enthusiastic Cale, looking like a puppy who got offered a hamburger. He first asks if he's Tanaka (curiously pin-pointing the right person at jis first try) and if whether he was "as ridiculously lazy as the rumors say". Then, in a petition that makes them think of Miyano, he requests Tanaka to become a lazy mentor.

• "No, not to me. To my brother— the new one, not Bassen—. He talks and talks about how much he wants to be a slacker and do nothing all day long. But, that guy, he wouldn't take a rest even if mundial peace was declared. He keeps running around, getting himself in troubles and always ends up hurt. It's troublesome. So, teach him to be lazy peacefully, please."

• So Rok Soo, the recently adopted Henituse kid, attends to Tanaka's listless lessons with Miyano.

• The first try fails magnificently. Instead of Tanaka's lifestyle sticking to Rok Soo, Tanaka gets infected by Rok Soo's logic. For a whole week, Tanaka's friends (plus Cale, because "he started this") have to run after him trying to stop him from doing dangerous things. Luckily, his stamina is really low.

• After every try, more and more people get involved in the "Let's Teach Rok Soo How To Slack" plan. They still keep failing tho.

• At some point they forgot why those meetings were for and just use them to hang out with friends. Except Cale, he keeps trying.

• Otta, Alver and Shiraishi bring baked goods to their meetings and exchange recipes. They're baker friends.

• Echizen is confused at Cale's reputation sometimes. He's mostly harmless and he won't do anything unless the person in question crosses a line, but people still fear him more than her. After seeing him in action, she gets it. People surely love to make assumptions. He only has to put a face and be vague here and there and they'll come up to their own conclusions.

•They bond about their cute likings.

There's more but that's what I can think about right now.

I'm late as hell for halloween, so have a more casual cosplay style instead! I love the manga "Tanaka-kun is always listless" It's got a great cast of characters, each deserving of their own spotlight. Anyway they're dressed as Oota and tanaka respectively. I forgot to put the reference image but it's the cover for volume 12, I attached a link to the image instead.

(How to I write flip I’m getting no ideas but I have an idea but it’s like disappearing from me the moment I write 😢) I feel as if this might be out of character sorry if it is 😭🙏🙏

Tanaka is sleeping at the tree, Ohta once again,,, carries him to class. Tanaka kun then began to think ,,

‘he does a lot for me, he likes sweet food,,, I should get him some’

he then looks up from his desk, his arm fell asleep, a prickly feeling in his leg. Will he get up himself to get the pastries? Maybe (not).

‘I will just sleep for a bit more longer..’

bell rings. It’s lunchtime, Ohta then picks him up.

“I will do this”

Tanaka gently pushes him off, starts walking out of the classroom. Ohta surprised by this and follows him

‘What’s he up to? What caused this change?’

The blonde thinks to himself, looking at Tanaka kun.

“Ohta, stay here. I want to do something”

Ohta is even more shocked by his actions, Tanaka just walks off. Unsure what to do, he stays in the spot he’s in. Tanaka, walks to the cafeteria. Katou and Shimura look at Tanaka,

‘Did Tanaka and Ohta had a fight??’

The two then come up to Tanaka like

“What happened Tanaka? where’s Ohta? Did you guys get into a fight?”

“Lovers quarrel?”

Shimura says the last part, Tanaka just waddles away, going to the cafeteria lady, looking at the newer pastry’s, he gets the slice of apple pie and apricot danish. He then walks past Shimura and Katou and see the pastries,

they share the thought:

‘Is he trying to say sorry to Ohta by giving him sweets?’

The both laugh. Tanaka waddles away (to the very next day hahahaghsa get it? Hsgudaahshaha) back to where Ohta is, and gives him the pastries.

‘Is this what he wanted to do?’

“Thank you Tanaka, we could’ve walked there together,, I can pay you back afterwards.”

Ohta takes a bite of the apricot danish

“The only payment I want is your hand in marriage”

It’s silent for a bit, Ohta looks at Tanaka’s face, the same expression he always wears, why did he expect different.

“Not sure how to respond to that”

“By marriage.”

“…”

Random closing, I hope you enjoyed 😭 i feel like this is out of character I’m losing it, I wrote this in one sitting without exiting 🎉 hooray

I’m a bit listless in getting my posts done of late, apologies, so what better show to start on a whim than Tanaka-kun is Always Listless. At this point I’m ten episodes in and this has been a delightfully light, warm little show, with a main character’s listless demeanor something to aspire to. No matter what Tanaka is calm, and much of the time he has his friend Oota nearby to help if he’s too powerless to move. Will loop back on this once I complete it, but this totally hits me as a show from a couple years back that’s worth visiting if you need a warm escape.
