@ trans people who tape their chest with trans tape or any kind of KT tape really- if you have that fucking annoying residue of adhesive--

Try Baby oil- seriously it worked so much better than the fucking sunflower oil i use- my baby oil was scented like almonds(?) So now i even smell good! And my brain just went "well if its good for bby skin- then it good for adult skin!"

Fuck yea. Praise the 2am ideas!

TAPE REVIEW

i bought it on Wivov, there were very few reviews because appearently it's a pretty new website, so i thought i might make a post about this for other transmascs and tape users to know about it.

it costed 13 euros + 7 of delivery, and it arrived about two weeks after i ordered it

the package was very discrete, and small, so it could be literally anything and it's not suspicious at all

they only had skinny models with small chests in the images, so i was afraid it was not gonna work on me since i dont have a small chest, but i was pleasently surprised: (images under the cut, where the post continues) (cw, im only wearing tape and pants in the next pictures)

this is me wearing the tape, as you can see i dont look flat at all, but the point of binding is NOT to look flat, rather to shape your chest in a way that makes you feel more comfortable!

Anyway, once you put clothes on...

...it really changes the way you feel.

anyway, i should warn that my skin didnt react very well to the glue, especially on my right side, where the tape left some irritations and i think it tore away a little piece of skin? it's not very clear in the pictures but it's pretty itchy

im kinda disappointed that i didnt take more pictures while wearing it cuz i felt pretty cool :)

there are 4 colors to choose from and i picked the lightest one which, as you can see, is the one that blends the most with my skintone

i wouldnt recommend wearing it for more than 8 hours if you have sensitive skin, but i would say test it on a little bit of skin before you put it on

take a shower when you wanna take it off, the warm water will make it easier, and use oils or a moisturazing cream or something

getting a good tape bind and just wearing a tank over it or sleeping shirtless is the most euphoric thing i’ve ever experienced in my life.

I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO BIND WITH KT TAPE. does anyone have any tips? I’ve gone through three rolls in the past week trying to figure it the fuck out. I have like C cups, I’m not even that large chested but it’s not working ��️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Trans tape tips (I’m not an expert, I just can’t compression bind due to medical issues)

-use your T shot rubbing alcohol supply to disinfect the area before taping (especially good if you don’t have reliable shower access)

-perfume on the skin messes up the adhesive (not that I’m speaking from experience.. haha…)

-exfoliate a LOT between tapes

-chapstick works in a pinch to un-tape

-if you’re big, don’t be afraid to change your tape strategy if you’re working off of skinny guys tutorials. Experiment doing UP and to the side instead of down.

-and finally, don’t bother with bandaids on your nips. Ends up more expensive in the long run for me. Just fold over a piece of the tape so the adhesive connects to itself and use that.

psa to all my fellow queer folk and trans people and people who bind in general; if you have sensitive skin, DO NOT USE TAPE. i don’t know if i was just doing it wrong (i followed several tutorials proven correct and safe) but it was unbearably itchy within the literal first day of wearing it. i had no lotion or excess deodorant under the tape, and all my life i’ve experienced something like contact dermatitis from many little things and have no prescription medication for it.

I do get tired when I see popular trans solidarity art and they always depict the transmasc person/character fully passing with top scars slapped on, EVERYTIME. and while this isn't an inherently negative or problematic thing, I do get a feeling of being left out or just not really acknowledged, well because I kinda understand!

depicting trans men/masc folks with breast can be seen as "taboo" or "confusing" for some trans folks but the reality is that we just, exist... we're real people too.

I'ill be honest and say I get tired of the default trans man image being skinny-muscular guy who already got his top surgery. and anyone else who looks different from that is a nasty transtrender or whatever transmed garbage people spew. trans men/masc can be fat, and or curvy too, but I feel like people are terrified to acknowledge that over the fear of being labeled a fetishsizer. truthfully as a trans person no matter what people will label you as negative shit so you gotta push through the fear. it's why I draw what I draw.

🏳️‍⚧️[ Below is a vent about being trans, and how an expensive product doesn't work for me. This post is not in the orange color i love so it's easier to read if you do decideto read it.]🏳️‍⚧️

I am a FTM(female to male) trans person living in Germany.

I bind with KT tape and trans tape cause i cannot breathe in binders, and i know i will pass out if i do attempt to wear them. Also, money is tight, and i therefore cannot afford binders and the shipping of them.

My local KT tape works fine! Just blisters my sides. It stays on my body for quite a bit, and sometimes i forget it's even there!

(Having your tape blister you is NOT GOOD BTW. Its just the best i can do. If you have tips on having your KT tape not blister you i would greatly appreciate it cause that would ease my stress a TON)

But the trans tape my boyfriend had gotten me lasts maybe a day? Maybe two or three? It doesn't blister me though, which is definitely good.

But a product which is much more expensive than the kt tape performing much much worse than it duration wise? it makes me feel so powerless. Like all the control i had over my dysphoria just slips away like sand! I cannot leave my home when my chest isn't bound. My dysphoria feels like a disability- like a constant choking feeling. And i fucking hate it. I am trying my best to get my transition going with a luckily supportive family that has already switched to my chosen name- but i need help with the medical things from my therapist who i don't see as often as i want to- she had trans patients before and knows how to do the papers and my anxiety prevents me from doing it alone.

I am trying my best but my best doesn't feel good enough and me writing this post feels like im just complaining, considering others have it far worse than me but these are just feelings im feeling- feelings i want people to know about n have them reach people who feel similar to me and reach people who have advice cause i really really need it.
