عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَا العَمَلُ فِي أَيَّامٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْهَا فِي هَذِهِ ؟ " قَالُوا : وَلاَ الجِهَادُ ؟ قَالَ : " وَلاَ الجِهَادُ ، إِلَّا رَجُلٌ خَرَجَ يُخَاطِرُ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ ، فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ بِشَيْءٍ " صحيح البخاري حديث ٩٦٩

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)." Then some companions of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things." Sahih al-Bukhari 969 In-book reference : Book 13, Hadith 18

وقد دل هذا الحديث على أن العمل في أيامه أحب إلى الله من العمل في أيام الدنيا من غير استثناء شيء منها وإذا كان أحب إلى الله فهو أفضل عنده وقد ورد هذا الحديث بلفظ: "ما من أيام العمل فيها أفضل من أيام العشر" وروي بالشك في لفظه: "أحب أو أفضل" وإذا كان العمل في أيام العشر أفضل وأحب إلى الله من العمل في غيره من أيام السنة كلها صار العمل فيه وإن كان مفضولا أفضل من العمل في غيره وإن كان فاضلا ولهذا قالوا: يا رسول الله ولا الجهاد في سبيل الله قال: "ولا الجهاد" ثم استثنى جهادا واحدا هو أفضل الجهاد فإنه صلى الله عليه وسلم سئل: أي الجهاد أفضل قال: "من عقر جواده وأهريق دمه وصاحبه أفضل الناس درجة عند الله". سمع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجلا يدعو يقول: اللهم أعطني أفضل ما تعطي عبادك الصالحين قال: "إذن يعقر جوادك وتستشهد" فهذا الجهاد بخصوصه يفضل على العمل في العشر وأما بقية أنواع الجهاد فإن العمل في عشر ذي الحجة أفضل وأحب إلى الله عز وجل منها وكذلك سائر الأعمال وهذا يدل على أن العمل المفضول في الوقت الفاضل يلتحق بالعمل الفاضل في غيره ويزيد عليه لمضاعفة ثوابه وأجره وقد روي في حديث ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما: هذا زيادة والعمل فيهن يضاعف بسبعمائة وفي إسنادها ضعف وقد ورد في قدر المضاعفة روايات متعددة مختلفة فخرج الترمذي وابن ماجه من رواية النهاس بن قهم عن قتادة عن ابن المسيب عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "ما من أيام أحب إلى الله أن يتعبد له فيها من عشر ذي الحجة يعدل صيام كل يوم منها بسنة وكل ليلة منها بقيام ليلة القدر" والنهاس بن قهم ضعفوه وذكر الترمذي عن البخاري أن الحديث يروى عن قتادة عن سعيد مرسلا وروى ثوير بن أبي فاخته ـ وفيه ضعف ـ عن مجاهد عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال: ليس يوم أعظم عند الله من يوم الجمعة ليس العشر فإن العمل فيها يعدل عمل سنة وروى أبو عمر والنيسابوري في كتاب الحكايات بإسناده عن حميد قال: سمعت ابن سيرين وقتادة يقولان: صوم كل يوم من العشر يعدل سنة وقد روي في المضاعفة أكثر من ذلك فروى هارون بن موسى النحوي قال: سمعت الحسن يحدث عن أنس بن مالك قال: كان يقال في أيام العشر: بكل يوم ألف يوم ويوم عرفة عشرة آلاف قال الحاكم: هذا من المسانيد التي لا يذكر سندها عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم… -ولعشر ذي الحجة فضائل أخر غير ما تقدم فمن فضائله أن الله تعالى أقسم به جملة وببعضه خصوصا قال تعالى {وَالْفَجْرِ، وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ} [الفجر: ١, ٢] فأما الفجر فقيل إنه أراد جنس الف��ر وقيل: المراد طلوع الفجر أو صلاة الفجر أوالنهار كله فيه اختلاف بين المفسرين وقيل بل أريد فجر معين ثم قيل إنه أريد به فجر أول يوم من عشر ذي الحجة وقيل: بل أريد به فجر آخر يوم منه وهو يوم النحر وعلى جميع هذه الأقوال فالعشر يشتمل على الفجر الذي أقسم الله به. وأما الليالي العشر فهي عشر ذي الحجة هذا الصحيح الذي عليه جمهور المفسرين من السلف وغيرهم وهو الصحيح عن ابن عباس… -ومن فضائله: انه خاتمة الأشهر المعلومات أشهر الحج التي قال الله فيها {الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ} [البقرة: ١٩٧] وهي شوال وذو القعدة وعشر من ذي الحجة… مختصراً لإكمال الشرح من-كتاب لطائف المعارف لابن رجب () - الفصل الأول في فضائل عشر ذي الحجة -

The Hadīth highlights the merit of good deeds performed in the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. A Muslim should seize these days and perform many pious acts therein, including remembrance of Allah, recitation of the Qur'an, proclamation of Allah's greatness, oneness, praise, prayer, charity, fasting, and all deeds of righteousness. A little motivational thing I've just started is to make a note on my phone with each dhikr that is said that Allah swt will bless us with a certain gift in jannah and I record how many I've read. Inshallah, I will see these grow over the years and they will become a reminder before I consider committing a sin so that I don't lose the mercy and gifts of Allah, ar-Rahim.

Here's a list in case you want to do it too:

for 1 tree in jannah, read subhanallah once

for 1 tree in jannah, read alhamdulillah once

for 1 tree in jannah, read allahu akbar once

for 1 tree in jannah, read la ilaha illallah once

for 1 tree in jannah, read la-hawla-wala quwata illa billah once

for 1 date palm tree in jannah, read Subhan'Allahi wa bihamdi hi, subhan'Allahi alAzeem once

For 1 palace in jannah, read surah ikhlas ten times
