So, you just realized you're a witch...
Well here's a guide to some things you might find helpful.
If it's something tangible, chances are you might already own some of these things, if not please don't stress about getting them. For some items I will include stores that you can find them as well as price points using the dollar symbol.
Candles
These can be in the form of chime candles, pillar, taper, glass, votive, tea light, etc.
You can get them in various colors but if you are trying to save money you can get white candles. And add your intention and herbs (or just your intention) to achieve your desired outcome.
They can be found at:
The Dollar Tree ($)- Best for votive, pillar, taper, tea light, jar, floating, and glass candles. They can often be found in multiple colors and scents.
Michael's craft store ($-$$) - Best for tall/large pillar and taper candles.
JoAnn Craft store ($-$$)- Best for the same candles as Michael's craft store.
Metaphysical shops ($-$$) - Chime candles and speciality candles such as glass candles with writing on them (exp: love, Orisha, justice candles) and figure candles.
Stores that sell scented candles ($$) - Examples of stores like this are Bath & Body Works and Yankee Candles. These are best for looking for candles that have scents that correspond with your particular spell. For instance, if you're doing a peace spell you may want to look for a candle that smells of lavender or a candle that puts you in a peaceful state of mind regardless of the scent name or ingredients.
Incense
Incense are excellent for air magick and you can often find them rather cheaply in most stores. I personally try to find them as toxin free as possible but you purchase what incense makes the most sense for you. Just as with candle scents, look for incense that either corresponds with your spell by the herb they are supposed to smell like or by feeling.
The Dollar Tree ($) - The ones I've been too have mainly been good for chakra incense.
Etsy ($) - There are multiple sellers with a lot of different scents and quite a few with free shipping!
Magick.com ($)
Amazon ($)
Metaphysical store ($)
Herbs
If you decide that you want to work with herbs you can usually get away with the ones you already have. However, I would caution against burning herbs that aren't organic but of course that is your decision to make. Some places to get herbs are:
The Dollar Tree (they don't have organic but they have a decent selection)
Your local grocery store
Target
Walmart
Metaphysical store
Note: If you can't find the herb you may want to consider using the essential oil instead. Only use a drip of the essential oil. You can also get a tea bag with the herb you need, rip it open, and use that.
Nail Polish
Color magick is the main thing here, but I have come across some scented nail polishes as well. Either way, you can choose a color and/or scent that corresponds to your spell. Here are some affordable brands (by that I mean the polishes from their main collection are not over $10.)
Wet n' Wild
Esssie
LA Colors
Revlon
Sally Hansen
L'Oreal
CoverGirl
L.A. Girl
Cosmetics
I know a lot of people typically include nail polish in this group but I tend to save this category for things such as lipstick, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and blush. Once again, the main purpose of this category is color magick but it can also be used for glamour magick. Some brands are:
elf cosmetics ($)
Wet n' Wild ($)
Revlon ($) - Mainly their lipsticks
Rimmel ($) - Lipstick and Blush
Nyx ($)
Revolution Beauty ($)
Essence Cosmetics ($)
Divination
If you are interested in divination there are so many types that you can easily find one that you connect with. Some forms of divination are:
Bibliomancy
Pyromancy
Tarot, oracle, and playing cards
Osteomancy
Water scrying
Crystal scrying
Mirror scrying
Automatic Writing
Tasseomancy
Pendulums
Types of Magick/Witches
It is not necessarily important that you pick a particular type of magick but I think some witches take being able to study multiple types of magick at once for granted. Not everyone is able to maintain focus while looking at magick as a whole, that's why I think separating magick and witches into types can be helpful. This is by no means a complete list but it's a start.
Celestial/cosmic magick
Elemental magick
Green witch
Hedge witch
Water magick
Earth magick
Air magick
Fire magick
Draconic witch
Eclectic witch
Lunar magick
Solar magick
Fairy magick
Kitchen magick
Sea witch
Candle magick
Ceremonial magick
This is by no means a comprehensive list and I will likely add more things to it over time or create more lists similar to this one. But I hope this was at least somewhat helpful!

Types of divination
Please note: Not all of them are going to be here. I will be covering ones that Beginner witches can use and learn as a starting point! This also isnt a guide on how to do it, its is just some ideas and what they are.
Tumblr media
Tarot and cards-
People who are unfamiliar with divination may believe that reading Tarot cards means "predicting the future." However, most Tarot card readers will tell you that the cards are only a guideline, and the reader is simply interpreting the likely outcome based on the forces at work right now. Consider Tarot as a tool for self-awareness and contemplation, rather than "fortune telling." Here are some simple steps to get you started reading and utilising Tarot cards in your divinatory practice.
Tumblr media
Norse Runes-
According to Norse epic sagas, Odin created the Runes as a gift to humanity a long time ago. These sacred and holy symbols were originally etched in stone. Over time, they grew into a collection of sixteen letters, each with a metaphorical and divinatory significance. Learn how to create your own set of Runes and read what they say.
Tumblr media
Reading tea leaves-
People have utilised many different ways of divination from the beginning of time. One of the most recognised is the practice of reading tea leaves, often known as tasseography or tasseomancy. This divination method, while not as ancient as some of the other famous and well-known methods, appears to have originated in the 17th century.
Tumblr media
Pendulum reading-
A pendulum is one of the most basic and easy types of divination. It's as simple as asking and answering yes/no questions. Although pendulums may be purchased commercially for between $15 and $60, they are simple to create on your own. Most people use crystals or stones, but you may use any object with some weight to it. There are various methods to utilise a pendulum for divination, and you'd be amazed what you may learn from "yes" and "no" replies. The secret is to learn to ask the appropriate questions.
Tumblr media
Osteomancy-
For thousands of years, tribes throughout the world have used bones for divination, a practice known as osteomancy. While there are several approaches, the goal is usually the same: to predict the future using the signals revealed in the bones.
Tumblr media
Numerology-
Numerology is a discipline that many Pagan spiritual groups utilise. According to the basic concepts of numerology, numbers have a tremendous degree of spiritual and magical importance. Some numbers are more strong and powerful than others, and combinations of numbers can be created for magical purposes. In addition to magical correspondences, numerals have planetary importance.
Tumblr media
Intuition-
Intuition is the capacity to know things without being told. Many intuitives make outstanding Tarot card readers because their ability offers them an advantage when reading cards for clients. This is sometimes known as clairsentience. Of all psychic talents, intuition may be the most frequent.

Rainbow Divination
Rainbowmancy is not only the act of magic, but, much like in witchcraft, divination is also a part of it. (If you want it to be, anyway, you can do whatever you want forever!) Here are some different techniques for using rainbows in divination.
Reading Rainbows: When there is an actual rainbow in the sky, you could read the signs to divine. Look at the rainbow and consider the place on the horizon, depth of colour, full arc or just partial, beginning and end, etc.
Existing Decks: There are many decks available through either the creators or your local witchy/bookstore that have rainbow themes and symbolism. Some examples: Prism Oracle, Secret Language of Colour (I recommend!), Spectrowhirl Tarot, SoulSpace Oracle, Queer Tarot, Holographic RWS, Sacred Creators Oracle, Rainbow Tarot, Tarot at the End of the Rainbow.
Stone Scrying: What is says on the tin, scrying in rainbow stones, or if you have a quartz crystal, they sometimes can have rainbow inclusions which work really well.
Water Scrying: Take a glass or white bowl or cup and fill it with water. Add a few drops of coloured ink. Alcohol ink, writing ink, or acrylic inks work just fine. Look at how it flows, what patterns it makes, what symbols do you see? For meanings you could make your own dictionary, which I recommend, or use a tasseomancy (tealeaf reading) guide to get you started.
Rainbow Scyphomancy: This technique was generously shared with me by Nova. Scyphomancy means divination with a cup or goblet. With rainbow scyphomancy the white cup is first filled with water and then emptied. Drops of food colouring are added, and the cup is turned over three times, each one in a different direction, lastly the cup is swirled three times. The colours will spread over the white surface, which can then be read much in the same way as tasseomancy.
Paint Chips: These come in every shade and colour, so would be great for making your own deck. Write keywords or draw symbols on them the meanings of which match the colours.
Pendulum: A pendulum in one of the rainbow crystals for example. Or nowadays you have rainbow pendulums made from different crystals, either fused together, or beads stacked on top of each other (often called "chakra pendulum". We'll get into chakra's in the next bit). A small galaxy jar on a chain, or a small bottle filled with coloured sand, sugar, salt, or resin, will also make a great pendulum.
Crystal Casting Oracle: An osteomancy method using rainbow cystals, or crystals in each colour of the rainbow. Before I mentioned that my favourite combination is garnet, carnelian, citrine, aventurine, turquoise, sodalite, and amethyst. I use tumbled stones of these to cast on divination grids or mats. Much like charm casting. Each stone has their own meaning depending on where they land.
Encaustic Art: This is an art technique where coloured beeswax is heated on a small painting iron and then pressed to wood, or a special shiny paper. Artists can use this to create beautiful and intricate paintings, often of landscapes. This same technique, however, can also be used for divination. By intuitively adding colours and moving the painting iron, a layered painting can be made. The wax will pool, swirl, and leave open spots, making an interesting painting which you can see symbols, figures, and natural features, which can then be interpreted.

I saw a pair of sea animals in my ‘week ahead’ tasseomancy session. Couldn’t figure out what it meant until today - the kitchen flooded from faulty plumbing. That, alongside visions of a house, scythe and hammer, suddenly makes a lot of sense.
But these symbols where scattered in between several others. When I scry, I don’t necessarily see things in a logical order. I set out to receive visions of any important events that will happen within a specified time frame. (Perhaps I should also try specifying that the visions come in a more sensible order, if that’s not too big of a request...)
Usually I’m content to just wait until things come to pass, and make the connections later. But that rather defeats the purpose of fortune telling, doesn’t it?
For now I do enjoy the process of learning the symbolic language of my mind. The intuition perceives things in a very poetic manner, and that is not always easy to decode. When I looked into the future and saw a manta ray and a dolphin (and a house, scythe and hammer), I couldn’t make heads or tails of it. But it meant something to some part of me, and that was the most succinct way it could communicate with me through shapes coincidentally formed by the leaves. I could just as well have perceived any other symbol of water and draw the same conclusion.
I suppose in the mean time, it’s good to normalise doing readings for your readings. If something doesn’t make sense, ask for clarification. If it seems too simple, ask for more detail. I have a solid practice of doing dice oracles that could give some quick insight into how to interpret the images I see. The dice oracles are somewhat limited, but very precise in their meaning. Combining the two could be a great boon...
The point of divination is to know the otherwise unknowable. Hindsight is a great teacher, but to really know the extent of my skill, I should make every effort to predict the future in more precise terms.

Tea for Three
Reason and Faith band together to put on this month’s special seminar: the history of tasseomancy! You will be learning the “magic” behind divination and how the old masters used the remains of tea leaves and coffee grounds to predict future events. Just in time for the moon of love, you will all be divining your romantic futures from a delicious cup of white rose tea. [Grants Reason or Faith +1]
@aimlessarchery @viridescent-lance
The magic seminar made Marianne sick with anxiety. She didn't need to be able to read the future to know hers, and anyone who knew her, was going to be filled with misfortune. But... She had skipped a few classes to spend time atoning in the cathedral... And her grades had slipped a little... So she really needed to do this assignment.
Marianne looked around at the garden. Most of the tables were filled with other students working on the same assignment. She wondered how it felt to be excited about the future.
Marianne fiddled nervously at her notes, thumbing though the instructions and the list of symbols as she waited. She hoped that her misfortune wouldn't rub off on Professor Python and Forsyth...

Tasseomancy — or as Serra’s always known it, tea-leaf-reading — is apparently a complex subject. So says their lecturer, in an energetic voice that rings across the small room scattered with students, teachers, and others. Serra’d plopped down in a seat next to someone, being Serra, of course, and had only a few moments or so of reprieve before the lecture had begun. “It’s easier to show as I tell,” says the woman at the front of the room — large circular glasses, a mess of red hair cascading around her shoulders, shimmering amethyst eyes. Serra bounces in her seat, only settling when the tea and tea cup is passed to her, and she’s offered a healthy pour of a drink.
“There are five types of symbols, generally,” says the woman, pouring the drink for the professor sat next to Serra. “Animals, mythical beings, objects, letters, and numbers. It’s important to remember that not every formation needs to be interpreted — only the one relevant to your query.”
Serra’s query. She’d known it when she saw the flier for the class — long before she’d entered the room. “Vague questions will get vague answers,” said the lecturer, but Serra’s fine with that. As far as she’s concerned, Serra’s asking a yes or no question.
   Will I ever find love?
The simpler the answer, she thinks, the better. Surely it has to be a yes! Who wouldn’t love her?
( Who would? argued her mind in reply. )
The lecturer went over some of the history of tea leaf reading as her class drank their tea, but still finished before everyone had completed their tea — she allowed them, then, to talk amongst themselves while waiting for the rest of the class to finish.
“Have you finished your tea?” Serra’s bouncing with excitement as she turns to the person next to her. “This is about a tablespoon left, don’t you think?” She offers her cup — no need to be wary of what the other may spot beneath the tea. She hasn’t mixed it and turned it over on the saucer, yet, so no need to be concerned over her answer being apparent to him. Besides — he’s a student of this lecture, too. Surely he doesn’t know!

You are wandering down yet another bleak side street on the ground level of Mircalla. Dilapidated buildings line the way with an occasional slightly-less-derelict shop or pub to break up the monotony. The evening is wearing on, and you hear a round of laughter and song from what seems to be a particularly popular spot. You decide to pass on the rowdy establishment, seeking somewhere quieter to spend a bit of your coin and your time. Your eye is drawn to a small shop a few doors down. White and purple candles float behind the front glass, and a sign hanging over the door bears the mark of an eye. The linework of the symbol glows brightly in the dim light, inviting you to take a closer look. You try the door and find it unlocked.
The inside of the shop smells pleasantly of herbs and citrus. Shelves and cabinets line the walls, packed with odd bits and bobs. Bottles full of mystery substances, large books with cracked spines, crystal balls, decks of cards, and many, many tea cups. Candles cover every free surface, giving the room a cozy glow. In the center of the room, a low table occupies most of the floor space. At the opposite side of the table sits a young fetchling woman. She's idly smoothing the embroidered tablecloth on the table. Noticing your presence, she looks up with a smile.
"Welcome! No need to be shy; come in and make yourself comfortable!"
She gestures toward the cushion on the floor at your feet. Her black eyes shine with a strange light as she gives you an appraising look.
"Let me guess... You're new in town. Perhaps looking for some quiet entertainment. The pub was a bit too crowded for your taste, eh?"
She laughs lightly at your surprise.
"Well, I am an oracle. Discerning things about my clients is sort of my thing. And you have a fine air about you! Your aura is positively radiant. Good things are coming your way, I can tell! Shall we see what your future holds?"
She rises from her cushion and begins rummaging through the items on a nearby shelf.
"Perhaps a bit of tasseomancy to start? Maybe a palm reading? Or would you prefer to jump straight into the nitty-gritty with a bit of cartomancy? You won't find a better card reader anywhere on the continent, I can guarantee! Where would you like to start?"
Her brow furrows at your response. She nervously adjusts her shawl.
"Well... It's true that I do perform some more... otherworldy services on occasion. A séance wouldn't be completely out of the question. If you were one of my regulars. Which you're not.
No, no amount of money will persuade me, I'm afraid. Communing with the dead is... unpleasant. You don't know what you're asking for. Let's stick with a more lively means of divination."
She removes a deck of cards from an ornate wooden box and returns to her cushion. Using a black ribbon, she ties her white hair into a ponytail, then proceeds to shuffle and lay out the cards in a complex pattern across the table.
"This is the exotic tarrow deck; the only one in existence, to my knowledge. Let's see what it can tell us about your fate."
The candles flicker and dim as she slowly reveals the first card.

Paganism Class 101: Ways to Communicate to The Gods and Goddesses
In the article, "Paganism Class 101: Who's knocking?...: How to know what specific Deity, is calling you"; I mentioned than the Gods/Goddesses, sends manifestations when we are awake or slept; to communicate with us. Now, I think I should add a list; where you can know, the different ways you can speak to The Gods and Goddesses; without a third person. This is the most safest methods you can uses, and... Like I always said, uses your discernment to pick the best for you; according on how easy is to use it, and how easily you can afford it; and specially, hide it of anyone than shouldn't see it.
And now... The Ways to communicate to the Gods and Goddesses!
Natural Symbols: Feathers and Butterflies symbolism, is one of the ways I uses to communicate with Deities; in those days, weeks or few months; when they doesn't appeared to me. Example: A red butterfly, means that an Powerful Spirit is watching over you. Or... A white feather, means that you are not alone. (Animal symbolism, Feather and Butterfly Symbolism by color; is one of the many ways you can communicate, when you ask a question or pleads for help: Look around to any Animal, Insect; butterfly or feather, that gets near of you; or around your home... That's the answer you was expecting from The Deities!)
Your own Godphone: Is, when you developed or are borned; with Clairvoyance (Clear Seeing), Clairaudience (Clear Hearing); Clairsentience (Clear Feeling), and; Claircognizance (Clear Knowing), which is a great help to known directly what The Gods and Goddesses want to talk to you. If you were borned with that abilities, Congrats! But, if you want to developed them; then, meditate at least 10 minutes a day; take a walk regurlarly to nature, keep yourself thinking positive thoughts above anything else, and be open to listen to the Signs of The Universe: If you do this, and have patience; you will started to tune in with Spirits; and be sure to verify that The Spirit/Spirits, that contact you; is/are a Deity/Deities; before let it/them be in your house... And, in your life!
Ancient Divination Tools: The are different tools, that were used for our Ancestors; to know what was, "The Will of the Gods and Goddesses, for The Humanity"; or, for a person in particular. This is the different tools that you can easily uses; with a short description of each one of them:
Celtic Ogham: Are Celtic symbols, that are carved on sticks; or in cards. (Is not known how this symbols, where used originally; so... Using it or not, is your choice.)
Dream Question: When an individual get the answer, to a question than was meditated before sleep.
Numerology: Is the use of numbers to get answers, according of the significance of this numbers, be it an single digit; double, or in sequence. (Angel Number's Apps, are an example of Numerology; used for divinitation.)
Pendulum Divination: Is a way to get answers, with a pendulum made of crystals; glass, metal or wood; being the wooden pendulum, the best to use; according to experts.
The Norse Runes: Is an Ancient Alphabet, that is widely uses by followers of Heathen or Norse Paths; for Divination and Magick.
Tarot Cards Reading: Specially design pack of Cards, that are uses for Divination; and is an special form of Cartomancy. Most of these decks, have the instructions to secure a clear reading.
Cledonomancy: Is hearing the answer made to a Deity/Deities, with the the words uttered by chance events or encounters; from crowds, pedestrians; and/or unknown people.
Cleromancy: Is using the rolling of one or two dices, to get answers of The Divine; or predict the future.
Ornithomancy: Is reading omens, based in the movements; flight and cries of birds.
Pyromancy: Is using the movement, or the color of the flame of a candle; or a campfire, to find the answers you need.
Tasseomancy: Is a divination method, that interprets patterns in tea leaves; coffee grounds, (rarely, in wine sediments) that are left in the bottom of a cup, after drinking the coffee; or tea, wich demands concentraction; imagination and intuition. Luckily, the are dictionaries online of reading symbols available. (...And most, are FREE!)
Modern Divination Tools: If you are still developing your Psychic Abilities, or find the methods above; difficult to learn, or simply; don't called your attention... These are more easier, and cheapier methods to use. (But remember: Like with the Ancients Tools, these methods demands that you have; a quiet mind, ask a simple question; avoid distractions, uses your intuition, and pay attention to know the answer.)
Shufflemancy: My favorite! (I used it in those times, when I said: Wait... Where The Gods, have gone?!) Consist, in using an iPod; or The Music's Reproductor in your Smartphone, where you skip to a certain number of songs; and the lyrics or tune of the song, are the answer. I, put the list in aleatory; and because the list have hundreds of songs of different genres and moods... It makes more easier that I don't get a wrong answer. (I recommend to imagine, sacred positive symbols over your device; to ensure only Beings of Light; answers to your question; concentracted in your question, says something like "Gods... Take my Playlist! " ; And... Start playing!)
Symbolomancy: Is made by things found in the road. Example: Street signs, Animals; Insects, or License's Plates of Cars that passed near; or in front of you. (Download a Dictionary of Symbolism, and write down or record what you see; if you have poor memory, to see if The Gods, have already answer you!)
Technomancy: Is using Technology, for Divination. Example: Asking to an random number generator, something important; hit the button, and search the meanings of the generated number, and through intuition, pick the one that resonates the more, as the answer.
Other methods, are through recurrent Dreams with Deities; falling in Trance; or messages during your Morning's Meditation, or by meditating before going to sleep; so you could talk with Deities clearly, and without being manipulate by others. Before meditate, say a Mantra of Protection; ground yourself, and go on after that.
That's all in this article: Investigate this methods, take the ones that are align with you, that are easier to learn, and where the materials are at the reach of your hand.
Good Luck, in your interactions with The Divine... So Be It!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “ Furuyama taught this to Makoto once and I find it quite interesting. It was called Tasseography or Tasseomancy, reading the tea leaves. The origins come from Liyue so I would assume that's more Morax’s domain but people saw the patterns in tea leaves as a reflection of the world at each moment. The art of reading tea leaves, or tasseography, has survived and remains a simple way of looking at the past, present, and future through symbols. ”
“ It stems from monks who ceremonially drank tea in bell-shaped cups. Before that, it is thoughts that monks used to read patterns formed on the internal part of bells in temples, so the handle-less teacup was a logical progression. ”
“ After a cup of tea has been poured, without using a tea strainer, the tea is drunk or poured away. The cup should then be shaken well and any remaining liquid drained off in the saucer. The diviner now looks at the pattern of tea leaves in the cup and allows the imagination to play around with the shapes suggested by them. They might look like a letter, a heart shape, or a ring. These shapes are then interpreted intuitively or by means of a fairly standard system of symbolism, such as: snake (enmity or falsehood), spade (good fortune through industry), mountain (journey of hindrance), or house (change, success). ”
“ How I would adore seeing her try to do silly divinations after our tea time and see her face light up making any shape. Do you believe before the incident, she had one final clairvoyance and didn't tell me? ”

They say the best place to hide a tree is in the forest. Who would guess that a genuine prophet would be amongst the students gathered for the tasseomancy seminar? Fortunetelling isn’t quite the same as receiving visions of the future, being much more intentional in its pursuit of knowledge, but it’s still about interpreting vague symbols in a way that Sophia feels familiar enough to find comfort in it.
After finishing the explanation, the professors leading the seminar direct all in attendance to pair up to put theory into practice. Friends and classmates seek each other out, already hunched over their teacups before the final words leave the professors’ mouths. The number of unpaired people dwindles fairly quickly as people scramble to pair up. In a matter of moments, the only ones left without partners are the more reserved attendees.
Needless to say, Sophia is among the list of unpaired people. There’s not much to be done about that when she doesn’t know anyone here. A certain rosy haired individual does catch her eye, though; a familiar face around the church and a person with which she had a brief interaction with during the recent festival.
“... Do you...want to pair up? I can...do a reading for you, if you want...?”

Vanessa Ives | Penny Dreadful | Victorian-Modern, Mature, Horror
Tumblr media
Vanessa is a seductive and formidable beauty full of secrets and danger. She is keenly observant -- clairvoyant even -- as well as an expert medium. Her supernatural gifts are powerful and useful to those around her, but they are also a heavy burden. Her inner demons just may be more real than emotional, and they threaten to destroy her relationships, her sanity, and her very life.
True to her personality, Vanessa primarily appears dressed in a stately, polished manner and maintains an air of refinement and inscrutability. When her inner demon is in ascendance, however, she becomes much more instinctive and much less restrained as her behavior grows increasingly wild. Although she is brave and steadfast, there are times when even she is afraid when confronted with the most terrifying forms of evil. However, upon being released from the demon's possession, Vanessa exhibited a less brooding and more personable attitude.
Vanessa, despite her outward appearance, is a kind and compassionate woman who is very far from incapable of friendship and courtesy.
However, Vanessa's most defining traits are her incredible inner strength and unwavering faith in her god, who she turns to in her time of need and believes in no matter what the circumstances.
HISTORY
Vanessa was born to Gordon and Claire Ives, a wealthy family who were neighbors to the Murray family. As a child, she had an extremely close relationship with the Murray girl Mina, a relationship with a bond closer than sisters. Vanessa also had a close relationship with Mina's older brother Peter Murray, whom she intended to marry when she was older.
Tumblr media
Vanessa's innocence was forever ripped away when she witnessed Sir Malcolm and her mother in one of their sexual escapades, and this became the start of a bitter falling out between the two families. She grew to resent Mina for all her good fortune and began to demonstrate some scandalous habits, having kissed Peter out of turn and having a sexual escapade of her own with Mina's fiancé. Her downward spiral became most evident when she fell victim to the possession of an evil spirit, which eventually led to the death of her mother.

Tasseomancy
Tumblr media
First of all we should say thanks to my good pal @norathewitchling for motivating me to learn something xd. Many may already know that i don’t know much of divination, I have my pendulum and i know scrying, no more. Do i wanna learn tarot/runes/etc? OBVIOUSLY, i dream with having a tarot deck.
But i can’t.
So here is another post of “let’s learn discrete divination with Roy 101″
What is tasseomancy or reading tea leaves?
Have you seen Harry Potter? If you have, you may have seen that scene in which the teacher tells Harry that he is fucked up because of some tea leaves. And yes, exactly that is what Tasseography is.
*this is kinda of a long post so stick with me please xd*
How do i read the tea?
First prepare yourself tea, if you can do it in a white/light colored cup that would be even easier for you.
Before drinking, try to meditate or clear your mind. Also trust your first impressions and don’t second guess, trust the process.
Tumblr media
You also should know that the cup splits into 3 parts, the rim, the side, and the bottom. The rim is the present of the person you’re reading to, the side is the events that are not too distant, and the bottom represents the distant future. If you wanna add even more detail, the symbols that appear near the handle have a great chance of being  fulfilled.
If you’re reading to yourself you should concentrate in yourself, but if you’re reading for other person, the concentrate in the other person.
Drink the cup, thinking in the question you’re asking and when you’re done, you’ll see some symbols, letters, something, well those mean something.
