It’s not till Theo rolls to a stop at the bar his partners said they wanted to go to that he realizes he lost them somewhere on the drive over. He winces internally, taking his helmet off while watching how Kira and Scott come pulling in.

“Asshole! What was that?” Kira’s first to whip into the parking space beside Theo, an arched brow and unimpressed face when her helmet gets pulled off.

“Uh—.” There’s nothing Raeken can say, he gets so caught up in his head while riding he often forgets that he has people following him. And he likes speed, a lot of it, unlike Scott who prefers to stay riding at the speed limit. Kira would argue that Scott’s just following the law but Theo finds it rather annoying to stay at such a “slow” pace.

“Babe you really gotta slow down, you swerve around cars like you’re invincible.” Scott’s tone is much softer than Kira’s. Theo almost says that he’d heal if he got hit, and that Scott’s a veterinarian so he’d know how to fix Theo anyways, but he keeps his mouth shut.

“I know, I’m sorry. Wanna go in now?” He flashes the best smile he can and thankfully, Kira and Scott grin back. Hopefully he won’t be stuck sleeping on the couch tonight.

Tattoo Artist AU Fan Art: A Pigeon and A Rat

Fan art to commemorate the wonderful tattoo artist au fanfiction, this could be permanent, you know, written by @recurring-polynya. I had an amazing time reading it, and you will too!🥰 This had to be my favorite line in the whole story, and when I read it, I knew I had to do fan art of it. To give a small amount of context, Renji is being given very unsolicited romantic advice on dating Rukia from Hisagi and Kira, in which they also explain the nature of their own relationship. Renji is just, so tired. 🤣

Anyway, go read this could be permanent, you know! It is funny and fluffy and warm, and I know you will have a good time! Ships wise, it is mostly RenRuki, but features a whole host of characters and background ships including IchiHime, ChadIshida, and as featured here, Shuuhei/Izuru.

Art Corner

Phew! For something that started out as a quick joke, this turned into quite the project. I had fun though! Also drew people for the first time in like 10 years, so that was fun. Luckily, Kira and Renji make basically these exact faces in the anime, so I had a really good reference, which made it way easier! Unfortunately it was during their academy days, so I had to update their hair and facial structures, so that was fun... RENJI, WHY ARE YOU SO HARD TO DRAW?! Like Kira is the one with the wacky hair, you would think it would be him, but nope!🤣

Clothing wise, I scanned the chapter, and couldn't figure out if they were wearing anything specific, so I put Kira in this coat and scarf combo from the Bleach Gree Cards. I changed the colors a little to better match the pigeon in the piece above. Renji I put into his Koi hoodie from the color spreads (@recurring-polynya talks about it here).

Oh, I love my girlfriend so much. It feels like nicotine everytime we get to have a date together. And what we did on this date, I shall tell you! I showed her Voyager and Ds9 characters and had her nickname them and give first impressions. And now I share her wonderful insights with you lot:

Janeway: Mama Maria, a renowened chef who owns a cooking brand of butter where the bottle is shaped like herself. Became a Star Trek to promote her brand.

Chakotay: Joey-David Hasselhoff, lost his legs in the great star wars as is now very short. Became a Star Trek to pay off his outstanding gambling debts. The marking on his face is a barcode to immediately kill him if he tries to escape.

Kes: Mama Maria's evil twin, not a true Star Trek and just has the visitor's pass. Has the power to return everything to its base components. She is always under attack so she wears an indestructible vest.

Doctor: Uncle Steve, do not trust around children. The blue is a warning and he's very bitter about it. Pretends he's a genius but he's very stupid. He has an ankle bracelet which keeps him from leaving the ship which he bothers everyone about.

Neelix: A criminal mastermind tattoo artist that destroyed his homeworld with a tattoo machine, not a true Star Trek but came along to be amused. Talks like a gangster. I.. don't remember the name she gave him..

Tuvok: Great Value Spock, bought at the store on a discount during a clearance Vulcan sale and they needed a Vulcan to complete their ship. His eyebrows are drawn on.

Paris: Milk toast, the whitest white to ever white. He goes to space church which he himself built and his favourite food is white bread. Just a guy, he has no reason to be here.

Torres: Laquisha, a plant that knows absolutely everything. Does not like Uncle Steve. Goes to space church but because she knows its fake, and the world is actually on a cracker with hummus that will eventually be eaten by the one true space god.

Kim: Mark, a part timer that's just there. He does a bit of everything but he isn't actually good at anything. A temporary Star Trek but eventually he'll quit and follow his dreams to go to space college.

Sisko: Carl, owns a vintage George Foreman grill and makes space hotdogs for everyone on Hotdog Friday. Uses his baldness as a weapon to blind his enemies.

Kira: Karen, a typical Karen who is rude to everyone around her. Complains about being on Ds9 but doesn't do anything about it. Hosts a radio show to sell her trademark cement purses, which she always carries around at all times.

Bashir: Dominic (named by the two of us), participated in the space sex offender shuffle. He is very creepy and no one likes him, don't trust around anyone. No one can stop him. Probably really into bondage.

Odo: Gorp, created by the Kardashians to be a clone but made wrong. Banished for being a failure of a clone. He has no feeling in his left hand and cannot feel pain. His ears are glued on.

Dax: Monica, a furry that believes she is a leopard. Also a sex offender but they forgive her because she's so good at her job. If you see her walking around in a fursuit, let her be. Do not anger her because there will be no escape. Sells pancakes alongside Mama Maria and they are dating.

O'Brien: Loppy, it's his first day! He's so happy to be here, he's having a grand old time. It's always his first day as he is actually a mind parasite that makes everyone believe it is his first day and they will never know how long he's actually been there. Never.

Dukat: Zorath/Zorag (We both forgot it so it changes to something else with a z) -Melty Candle Face, an obsessive yandere Klingon that's very mentally unstable. He was first in love with Dominic until he found he could not be trusted. He targeted Loppy next because its his first day. Currently dating someone else, but it's undetermined who it is.

Garak: From the Shining Jack Nicholson, a scizophrenic who causes problems for everyone. His daily hobby is crawling through the vents and he can show up anywhere at anytime. He is an unpredictable menace that likes to scare the ship.

Mirror Kira: Ds9, the ship itself embodied as a half robot. Abuses her power to sleep with everyone on the station. What happens to the ship happens to her and forces everyone to protect her under the threat of death. She will not hesitate to throw you out of the airlock if you disobey her.

now it's time for a proper star trek update. i am sooo behind. monday we did voy's "the q and the grey," made it about 11 minutes in before quitting and switching to ds9's "the ascent" and then did ds9's "rapture," and then later that evening i finished "the q and the grey" on my OWN, then on tuesday we did voy's "marcocosm" and "fair trade" which means we accidentally went a little out of order (we were supposed to hit another ds9 ep first).

as mentioned above, we got. 11 minutes. into this episode. rough!

there's normally very little sexism on this show which is like. despite this show's tone being similar to tng's, a better cast and less sexism put it MILES ahead of tng in my opinion. but for some reason you put q in a room with janeway and WOW. the harassment, the casual "kathy," the belittlement...like, it was kind of funny in CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES when it was picard but it looks sooo different when he is doing this to a woman. like, he wasn't trying to have picard's baby, was he

not to mention he's always a little racist to chakotay, which is even more unfunny than him being fantasy racist to worf. him stealing the tattoo wasn't like. funny or quirky. jesus

also. CIVIL WAR COSTUMES? REALLY? REALLY??? they cast q's side as the yanks but like...he's rebelling against the government, so............

anyway, this episode had two redeeming moments for me. first was when chakotay was jealous i did holler. second was when janeway decided to "watch" the two qs procreate and then it was just a little zap, which i did think was really funny. other than that, it was ALL bad. i checked and we have one q episode left and then thank god i don't see his ass again until lower decks

the ascent (ds9):

THE MOST EP EVER. i'm normally "eh" on quark/odo but i really enjoyed this episode mostly because even when they were trying to survive they could NOT stop arguing

also, it did wonders for quark, like...he's the reason odo's leg got broken and he made it to the top and saved him. furthermore, he hates root beer, but bought some for nog. i love when quark has little hints of having a soul. like when he sold food at cost for bajorans. we don't need much, just more than we got in season 3

also, rom was in this ep :')

going from like the existential mountain climb back to the silly little odd couple b plot was INSANE whiplash, by the way

i do love how much of an artist jake is. he wants to wake up at 1pm have junk for breakfast and spend all day working on his fanfic while cleaning never. maybe he wanted to move out so sisko wouldn't nag him to clean so much

ALSO, AWW, JAKE MOVING OUT...my best friend sisko was so emotional. please. i love him so much

i did also like that the solution to the odd couple problem in both the instances of jake and nog and odo and quark was to simply invent a bigger problem. for odo and quark it's the mountain but for jake and nog it's not being roomies anymore. they were so happy when sisko forced them to get back together they instantly forgave each other's flaws which is heartwarming but also extremely fucking funny

rapture (ds9):

the title, i know, i know, i KNOW. i almost typed "THE rapture" like twice, nobody say anything, fuck

did not love this episode BUT i made it through the entire thing without calling kai wynn a bitch

i actually liked the depth they gave her in this ep, though it's not enough to make the character fun for me. she just takes such relish in being cruel for the sake of her faith, i can't stand it

kira also wearing blinders this episode :/ it's not that i don't think she should have a faith but i wish it didn't make her stupid. like, oh let's let sisko die from his visions! let's be an artist instead of a soldier! because some guy said to! come on

poor kassidy having just got out of prison and now she gets back to sisko being like. totally fucking crazy. i do like that she and jake have bonded though. i hope she makes him a great stepmother someday

i feel like this plot is gonna come back later...? i've read Some Things about sisko. i will say i'm curious to see where it goes. at the same time, i can't believe he chose his visions over JAKE when we all saw how jake was in the visitor and i'm kind of mad he didn't so much as apologize for putting jake in that position. it doesn't really feel like he ever came back to his "right mind." i hope he's not like that for the rest of the series lol

macrocosm (voy):

JANEWAY HOT!!!!!!!!!! this is so rough for me because i've never found her like stupid attractive before but wow the laura croft look really did it for me. i wish chakotay could have seen it 🫡

sorry i know there are other things to say about this episode. ummm it's much funnier post covid. the giant viruses. i wish they hadn't made them so buglike though

very fun that the doctor had gone full apocalypse mode. it makes absolutely NO sense how he was able to infect everyone if he wasn't real though...that's the whole reason they sent him down

the prosthetics in this were very cool. the cgi effects were very silly

the conceit of this episode was so fucking stupid. like, what about any of them makes neelix think they're gonna toss him out for being useless. kes is also useless, they don't NEED a nurse, but they're not throwing her out. a single conversation could have solved all of this

i thought that guy wix looked so familiar i was struggling to remember what he did in voyager, but no, i made that up.

on the other hand, i did like seeing vorik again! i remembered him from tng because of how fucking good his spock mannerisms were. like, not his name or anything he actually DID on tng, just how good he was at being a vulcan. i hope he comes back trek DESPERATELY needs more vulcans. maybe he and tuvok hang out and find peace in nobody pestering them about having emotions lol

anyway, i do love that janeway gave him hell at the end for it though. like that time she lectured b'elanna and tuvok and they wanted to die. AND she did it to chakotay once too. one thing she will do is shame somebody for being fucking stupid <3 may everyone on the cast get one before the series is over

Origin/Past:

She was born in New York into a wealthy family. Parents emphasized their situation very much, which Grace did not like very much and led her to frequent rebellions such as shaving her hair, tattoos, sneaking out of the house, etc. She has a lot of hobbies such as drawing, playing the guitar, writing songs, etc. However, she found passion for racing, which she began to train regularly until she became one of the most famous racers, which had both good and bad sides (e.g. many other racers thought she was too childish and frivolous, so she had no friends there. Not even her cousin Rochelle she tried to avoid her) At World (something something) she met Dusty who was the only one who appreciated her character and they quickly found a common language. After the race, she decided to move to Propwash Junction to end the snobbery and start living a laid-back country life without the luxuries she used to have.

Personality:

Early in her career, Grace dreamed of making new friends among racers. She always tried to fit in among them, but no one accepted her passions, which were considered frivolous and unnecessary. This made the woman secretive and lock herself in the world inside her head. After Propwash Junction moved, it became more open. She started smiling more often and even started fooling around. He likes black and slightly perverted humor. She also likes to joke in inappropriate moments, as she wants her sense of humor to lighten the atmosphere. Her confidence and self-esteem improved significantly.

Grace loves going out with her friends, especially Dusty, Chug and Dottie who have welcomed her as a new sister. She surrounds them with care and understanding.

However, she still "flys away", imagining new goals, dreams, etc., which gives life to her artistic side.

in a situation where she wasn't already deep in her feelings about one of our favorite vampires... probably. he is very pretty, if a little intense, and I'm starting to get a sense that she likes men with long hair

but as it stands, no. by the end of book 2, she's already very aware of how she feels, and has probably considered the L-word at least once on all the routes (with various levels of trepidation)

29. If they could have chosen a different profession, what would it be?

I have a half-formed au of Kira as an editor for the newspaper instead of a detective, which I think would suit her really well! it would be a job that would actually use her English degree, and would let her apply both her people skills and her deductive/knowledge skills. plus, it would let her be selectively antisocial instead of being so public-facing like her detective job!

the only downside being... Bobby. so much interacting with Bobby. but hey, at least she might be able to report him for sexual harassment if he keeps calling her "angel"

(the reason it's only a half-formed au is because I haven't figured out how Kira would actually get involved with all the Unit Bravo/Agency stuff. she wouldn't have any reason to cross paths with Murphy, and UB aren't good enough actors to convince Kira that a small town newspaper editor needs a team of four trained secret agents to protect her. the only way it would happen is if outside forces dragged her into it. or if only one team member went in undercover or something 🤔 hmmmm, that has potential)

30. Any funfacts about them you'd like to add?

hmmmm what fun facts do I have about Kira that I haven't already shared...

oh! I really want to give her another tattoo after the events of book 3, or between 3 and 4 depending on if there's any timeskip there. something unique to each romance but not necessarily like a romantic tattoo, if you know what I mean

the idea came to me because one of my favorite tattoo artists had some flash designs that involved crystals and I was like 👀

(not this exact design, but it was along the same line)

and now all I can think is Kira getting a crystal tattoo on Mason's route (probably on her sternum, right about where it would hang if it were on a necklace 👀)

I haven't figured out what she'd get on Nate's or Felix's route yet. they are very difficult to pin a solid idea on, but I'm working on it

I have a few possible thoughts for Adam's route, but I keep coming back to the idea (this is your fault, you put this in my head) of "fear makes us fighters" along the slope between her neck and shoulder, starting just under the scar from Murphy >:3 won't that be a fun thing for Adam to (eventually) find when he (eventually) gets his act together and (eventually) romances Kira the way she deserves

also not really a fact about her, but I'm considering retconning parts of Kira's backstory and making her American 😆 pretty sure that idea came about because I wrote a line in something recently where she mentioned her senior prom and then I had to go down a research rabbit hole to find out if that's even a thing outside the US

plus, once I look past Mishka's Britishness leaking through, Wayhaven does have deep-south-small-town vibes. somewhere near Savannah or Charleston, maybe 🤔

… and I’m not sure what I want this blog to be; initially it was created to post JoJo fan art and to get away from the shitholes that are instagram and twitter, but it turned into a variety fan art and meme account.

The posts on my blog are generally queued for one (or a couple) post(s) per weekday at 21:00 CE(S)T/UTC +1(+2), so apologies for weirding you out when I like your art/meme, only to reblog it an eternity later. My queue usually has no less than 80 posts so it’s really gonna take a while. I also can't guarantee for the queue to always be full OR it might be too full so there might be times where this blog is just dead for a while OR randomly starts posting about a completely different fandom.

Which is why if you actually want to follow me for some reason do yourself a favor and use the tag filter, I tag my posts very thoroughly so you can usually be rather specific with what you don't want to see. One day I'll get around to making a tag list for that very purpose, I promise.

My friend told me the appeal of tumblr is that you can post the most random shit and you’ll find your people, so I’m gonna try to do that, but I’m used to censoring myself on 'social' media, so yeah…

I also have a side blog for my other less tumblr-friendly interests/for more personal (shit) posts, especially my taste in music if you’re interested in that.
