Happy JULY!!!

Okay we are half way through the year and I can't believe I wrote 4,429 words for an Everlarked Ever After - A Cinderella Story. I'm actually editing to hopefully post this weekend.

Three little dots appeared on his screen. They stayed there for what felt like ages. Standing up, he bit his lip and paced across the kitchen floor while the coffee dripped in the background. A minute passed.

Yakko opened his phone, then closed it. opened it again. Closed. Opened. Still the dots persisted. Did he say something wrong? Did he upset Max somehow? Should he not have said how little sleep he'd gotten?

Nope. Nope. Too anxious. He needed to do something with his hands.

Week 28 of 2024

I don't care how many times I've yelled it Editing is hard. I wanted to post a chapter of An Everlarked Ever After but I got stuck editing the edits this week for a total of 735.

Since you've asked if we'd like to see something expanded from the TDWS universe, how about Yakko bonding with Max's friends? I'm kind of obsessed with the idea of P.J, Bobby and Roxanne going from being "Max's friends" to "Max and Yakko's friends". I remember Yakko saying Max is his best friend in the first fic because he doesn't even know who else would be if not him and I read it as Yakko not having any other real friend and he absolutely needs them!!! he deserves them!!! (Since we're already on the topic, just wanted to share that my personal hc is that Max's "friendship ranking" would be P.J>Bobby>Roxanne while Yakko's would be the other way around despite the initial awkwardness over the fact that Roxanne is Max's ex. And that Yakko would also get along really well with Stacey while Max isn't that close to her)

That was exactly how that line was intended haha. Even if it is a little sad. In truth his siblings would probably be his best friends, but saying it that way I feel moved the meaning a bit in a way I liked. I was toying with the idea of a short thing about Yakko talking to PJ, Bobby, and Roxanne the night prior to the finale of TDWS and how they kind of rope him into being friends. expand on "in typical disney fashion, one new friend became three". You're exactly with me on the rankings for friends with Yakko, too!!! I think he and Roxanne would get on like a house on fire, she's really sweet, and while she doesn't actively start any mischief herself typically, she'd be very responsive to Warner Antics (she liked Max too, after all) Bobby would be a little odd for Yakko just because he's a little hard to get a read on, and Yakko seems to rely a lot on immediate reaction, but ultimately he's down for pretty much anything and ready to help. He knows how to have a good time. Yakko likes PJ ok, he's Max's he's friend, he's a good dude, loyal, nice. But he's a bit of a worrywart and a little anxious when troublemaking is involved, so it's a tad harder to bond, but they have fun, especially in a group with each other. I think Yakko would be surprised there's more to PJ than he first imagined and they have this kind of "Max is important to us" camaraderie. They care about each other and help each other out even if they might not typically make friends with each other organically otherwise. Their dynamic is the one I'm the most interested in, being so different but caring so much about Max, and caring about the wellbeing of the other by extension. I didn't even CONSIDER Yakko and Stacey's friendship but you are SO right. They're both chatty and smart and strong willed, and Stacey seems to like people pretty well too. They're the dynamic duo Max wasn't expecting. (Stacey and Dot and Roxanne get along really well too)

Love the idea that Xavier and the Cradle become one. The creation and the creator as inseparable from one another.

thor dark world loki you will ALWAYS be famous

now that im thinking about it it really is insane how much loki dies in the mcu. thor 1? dies. thor 2? fucking dies again. thor 3? dies immediately after. thor 4 he's not there guess why. he fucking died

thinking about how the first time loki died, he told odin "i could have done it for you".

thinking about how the second time loki died, he told thor "i didn't do it for [odin]".

thinking about how after one thousand years of mistreatment, of gaslighting, of teaching him to hate his own species, of purposefully allowing him to believe there was a chance for him to be appreciated only to reduce him to second-best every single time, loki was still willing to do anything for odin.

only after a four-thousand year sentence to solitary confinement, a blatant refusal to judge him fairly (at least on par with thor) for his crimes, complete disregard as to where he had been in the void for a year. only after allowing loki to miss his mother's death and funeral without any intention of even telling him she had died. only after all of this was loki able to decide he didn't have to do anything for him.

and even then, he was still doing things for the kingdom and family who had never valued him as much as he should have been.

yeah i'm just thinking a lot about these things
