“Oh! Oh, right there! That's it... Ohh, God...” she moaned, as her body writhed on the living room couch. Her senses fully enraptured in the touches of strong, skilled hands.

It was a feeling she had long forgotten; and now she was growing dangerously addicted to it again.

“Shush, sweetie,” her companion admonished with a low chuckle. “You're gonna wake Sofia. Who knows what she'll think we're doing here”.

What they were doing was nothing spectacular, really. Just Callie massaging Arizona's foot after a long day at work.

A day that among other things had her standing at an operating table for ten hours straight.

It had put some strain on her today. Sometimes she found her foot hurting more than her residual limb. She wouldn't say there was an advantage to only having one foot. There couldn't ever possibly be. But she couldn't help but acknowledge that occasionally the superb prosthetic she wore and which was being well-maintained by Callie worked better than her own body.

“That girl sleeps like a rock. Just like her mother!” the blonde protested playfully, pointing out the adorable similarity the 12-year old shared with her birth mom.  Nothing in the world could rouse those two once they were asleep. Which on the negative side of course bore the problem of getting them out of bed on a school or work day. “And can you blame me?” she inquired about her inability to stay quiet just now. “Your hands are magical”. Truthfully so, as she could feel her muscles relax significantly under Callie's expert touches.

The brunette chuckled at the compliment. “Admit you missed them,” she said knowingly, and put some extra effort into her ministrations.

“Not gonna lie,” Arizona sighed in agreement.

Seven years she had been without them. Seven years without Callie's divine hands. Without having Callie this near. Without being where she knew she belonged.

Of course she had missed this. Had missed her! And now that they were back together, sharing all these absolutely mundane moments of life with Callie again... it was heaven.

And Callie could only agree.

They both had been with other people through the years. Had loved other people. And even lived with other people for some time.

But nothing, no relationship had ever felt as right as this.

And she was so overwhelmed to be back with Arizona. So grateful for this new chance and their courage to actually let it happen.

She wanted to climb the highest mountain and shout out to the the entire world that Arizona Robbins was hers once again.

That she was once again her...

“I'm wondering something,” she announced as the thought grew in her head.

“What?” Arizona encouraged and opened her eyes to look at the other woman. The fascination of watching Callie in though had never lessened. She often felt herself amused and aroused at the same time at the intense look Callie had when mulling things over, and the tiny crease her eyebrows formed at that.

The intense look with the creased eyebrows turned towards her “What... What are we exactly? The two of us?” the brunette spoke in all seriousness. What were they to each other, or to other people, in their new relationship?

And just like that Arizona's amusement faded. Callie's deep thinking sometimes conjured up... Where had that question just come from?

“We're... we're a couple. We're in a relationship,” Arizona frowned and leaned up on her elbows to look up at the woman, who not only currently held her foot, but also constantly her heart in her hands.

They were not yet living together again. Though they spent most nights together at Callie's place. Spending everyday life together and all these wonderful moments little that you could only have with that special someone.

The special someone that Callie truly was for her, despite everything they had to go through long years ago.

And of course spending this new stage of their lives with the person that was most special to both of them – Sofia. Their daughter had taken this development like the most normal thing in the world. Like it had been clear to her that this would happen again one day. That her parents would be together again one day.

And as clear as things were to Sofia and herself, Arizona thought they were clear to Callie too...

That the state of their relationship was nothing to question.

“No. I mean, yes! I...,” Callie shook her head at the confusion she was causing. That had come out way more serious and insecure than she had intended. “Of course we are,” she assured, stroking Arizona's shin in reassurance. “I just meant, what are we to each other? Like... am I your 'girlfriend'?” she stressed the word.

“Oh,” Arizona raised her eyebrows, finally the true reason behind Callie's question dawning on her.

True, they were many years older now than when they had first started dating. So maybe Callie didn't want to be referred to as her 'girlfriend' anymore.

“Well, you wanna be my middle-aged lady friend?” Arizona joked in mischief.

“Okay, that was enough foot rub for you,” Callie declared mock-offended, and dropped the extremity in question unceremoniously into her own lap.

“Hey, I'm sorry,” the blonde quickly apologized, sitting herself up fully, while Callie cleaned her foot as well as her own hands from remnants of massage oil. Arizona gained a bit of relief from the brunette's exaggerated pout. Because it showed her that she was not really miffed. Or if so, at least only a tiny bit. “I personally like calling you my girlfriend,” she argued.

Of course considering they had been married already, referring to each other as 'girlfriends' once more might at first seem strange. However, right now it was what they were, as far as conventional dating terminology was concerned.

“I could call you my partner, but that sounds like we're running a business together”, she grimaced, and Callie agreed. “But if you like it better, I'll gladly refer to you as my Care Bear, my Cuddle Monkey?” she tried and relaxed all the more when Callie smiled at this.

“Cuddle Monkey, huh?” Callie wondered, looking into Arizona's twinkling eyes.

“If that's what you like,” Arizona repeated.

“Okay, then you are... my Baby Blue Eyes,... my Sweet Cheeks,” she smirked, the back of her left hand moving up to track just those features of Arizona's pretty face. “My... Honey Buns?” Callie went on, knowing they were steering away from the intention of her original question, but this was fun.

“Oooh!” Arizona grinned at the implications of the last one. “Wait, wait, I know... my Kitty Kat,” Arizona tried terms herself, while busy grinning at the their affectionate and dorky attempts. “My Fluff Muffin...”

Callie guffawed at the last one. “Oh, my God,” slapping Arizona's leg affectionately.

At this the blonde couldn't resist and leaned in to kiss the amused cheek tenderly.

“Please don't call me 'Fluff Muffin' in public,” Callie lived out the rest of her chuckles and rested her head against Arizona's.

That was when the blonde remembered that they were looking for a term to use with other people.

“Well, how about 'My woman' for that purpose?” Arizona suggested and looked at the brunette expectantly.

“'My woman',” Callie let the word roll off her own tongue. While some people might perceive it as offensive using this to refer to your significant other, she'd actually prefer it over 'girlfriend'. May it be because it almost came close to another special term.

“What?” Arizona wondered intrigued, seeing that little flicker on Callie's face.

And Callie startled at the blonde's perception, having hoped Arizona wouldn't notice.

But then again they had known each other for over ten years. So, Arizona could read her like a book. “I...,” she began, almost not bringing herself to form the words. But Arizona's warm eyes and gentle dimples made her proceed with what was only the truth. “I always thought 'my wife' sounded beautiful”.

There.

There it was.

That fleeting thought that had crossed her mind for a second, maybe two.

It was a natural thing, considering what her and Arizona had been before.

But was it something they should ever be again?

Considering everything the thought of them as a couple alone should make them run.

And apparently Arizona had exactly that thought as she moved away from her, and looked about to fall off the couch in attempt to do so.

“Wait, d-don't go,“ Callie blurted, trying to stop her from running. Fearing she had just thrown everything they had rebuilt in the last years to the wolves.

“Not going,” Arizona reassured, as her hand reached an item on the floor. “I just feel like I want to wear some pants for this”. She pulled the piece on without putting her prosthetic on, indicating that she really was not planning on leaving.

“Okay,” the blonde exhaled deeply as she sat back up and faced Callie with a gentle and sincere look, and spoke softly, “Do you... Do you mean it?”

Callie gulped, as she pondered the question and how to reply.

As she wondered what she wanted her own answer to be.

As she wondered what Arizona might want her answer to be.

Did... was this something that Arizona wanted to be to her? Her face was so unreadable to her right now.

God, what had she just steered them into?

“I... do you want me to mean it?” she stalled.

“I... I'm,” Arizona stammered, most apparently unsure what to reply either. “Do you want me to want you to mean it?” she retorted. And despite the tension they both felt right now, the prospect of this game of avoiding an actual answer never ending made them both laugh wholeheartedly.

Callie slapped her hand onto Arizona's thigh and used the other to wipe her tears of laughter from her eyes.

And Arizona sat and watched her through her own joyful tears.

Finally the blonde clasped the hand on her thigh with both of hers. “Listen, Calliope,” she said lovingly, steering the conversation back to the elephant that had stumbled into the room. “I... I loved being your wife. I loved our marriage. The pride of being able to introduce you, this amazing woman, as my wife to other people. And...,” she sighed, “I hated how it all ended. That we hurt each other so much. That we weren't able to look at each other without disdain. And that was one of the most awful experiences in my life”.

She saw how Callie let her head sink and quickly continued.

“But I love the idea of us. Of experiencing all these moments with you, no matter how important or small. And I want us to have so many more, years, decades, heck, centuries together, alright?” she reassured.

“Yeah,” Callie smiled softly. She herself wanted nothing more than to grown old and wrinkly with Arizona. Cherish all the moments that could be ahead of them.

And maybe they should leave it at that.

Maybe they should do without labels and just focus on honoring what they had.

Hopefully decades of joy and love ahead of them.

Just when she had almost ended that topic for herself, Arizona surprised her, as she continued, “But I'm not saying no, you know”.

“What?” the brunette raised her eyebrows, not sure if she had understood correctly.

“I mean, not now. Because I think it's too early. ” she argued and Callie nodded in agreement. “But maybe in a year or two, we could talk about it again,” she promised. “Because it's not a horrible thought, per se. It's a thought that makes me grin with anticipation,” she confessed and did just that. “I just think we should give it time... Sound good?”

“Sounds perfect,” Callie signed deeply in contentment. Her fears of having ruined their new start by one scarily beautiful thought turning into delightful excitement.

“Besides for now...,” Arizona added with a look that soon made Callie excited for something else, “I like being your 'girlfriend'... or being your 'woman'...or, heck, Honey Buns. It's pretty, uh, it's pretty hot,” she grinned, as she casually climbed into Callie's lap.

“It's definitely hot,” the brunette agreed, as her hands instantly sought out the blonde's honey buns. “Come here,” she leaned up, desperate to taste some of that hotness. That fire and sass that had always been there with Arizona more than with anyone else she's been with.

And wife-y Arizona would never lose any of that. She knew from experience.

There were stories from their marriage. Stories you'd never believe if you only knew Arizona casually. Naughty stories that made her horny just thinking back on them.

Stories she would never let anyone else know, but was looking forward to fill an entire imagined book series with.

“What's that grin about?” Arizona asked challengingly, looking down into Callie's amused face.

“Think we can agree that you didn't really need those pants?” the brunette wondered, nestling at the waistband, ready to start writing.

The blonde chuckled at the welcome implications before leaning down and kissing her cheeky Fluff Muffin. “Play your cards right”.

Let's say you had a challenge to write a fic including 5 of the most popular but worst Calzona fic ideas: Arizona carries Mark's baby after his death (surprise: it's triplets!), Barbara and Daniel are Callie's biggest fans, Callie secretly develops a prosthetic leg and Arizona loves it, Lucia suddenly becomes the most supportive mother ever, Arizona changes her last name to Torres. You have to write a decent realistic fic but include all these things. How would you do it? How would you write around those things, what would be the circumstances that would make them somewhat acceptable? Would it even be possible?

i think you’d probably want to start with lucia’s reconciliation. like actually start pre plane crash. maybe after seeing mama o’malley callie reaches out. actually no arizona reaches out bc she feels awful about callie losing her mom. and also then bring in the robbinses a bit more and have arizona going to her mom for advice. and her mom who takes it upon herself to really be a mom to callie. and naturally daniel also is swayed by both sofia and callie and becomes quite friendly since callie knows more about football than either of his kids ever did and callie’s way more interested in his wood working projects vs arizona who hates the idea of splinters. so that’s two bits done and dusted

and now for the tricky part. marks sperm. which is a phrase i hate a little more every time i write it. so okay let’s say everything’s normal through mid season 9 or so and then we have a few things happening. first off, we have callie who starts developing a prosthetic in advance of arizona really being engaged with it. she’s at best distant about the prosthetic situation and she doesn’t want callie involved. but callie who needs to be involved in some way so she starts intensively researching prosthetics and wanting to know everything possible so she can help arizona in whatever way. and sort of by chance she starts actively developing one but it’s mainly theoretical at that point. and then then we have calzona who (rush) decide they want to have another baby. double points if they were actually planning on it beforehand and it’s more of a continuation than a brand new idea. maybe something about mark having left them his sperm (gross gross gross) so sofia could have a sibling - would probably pre establish that callie knew she couldn’t have kids after the crash and mark was also aware. maybe also toss something in there about how mark had made a point to tell arizoan that he wouldn’t want to be a dad to those kids if they used his sperm and only sofia would be his. just to make it slightly less weird (it’s still fucking weird team )

and add in some elements of arizona being too worn out with everything but also wanting to make callie happy so she rushes into the pregnancy and they have marks sperm and the kid will be related to sofia that way. and really, that’s how lots of people do ivf, they use the same dad so maybe it’s not totally weird.

and arizona is pregnant and depending on angst levels, miscarries once or not at all. lucia and carlos come on a surprise visit early on and it stresses arizona out but it’s also kind of a good bonding moment for her and callie who haven’t really been on the same page for months. (and thus we’ve missed the cheating)

and with arizonas pregnancy, callie decides to reveal that she’s been toying with developing prosthetics and she wants to help arizona. arizonas very resistant to it but she’s also having mobility issues bc of the pregnancy. they argue for like a month straight and arizona doesn’t want to be callies patient or test subject. and callie just wants to help her wife. callie even offers to not publish the research and it’ll just be for arizona not anyone else and arizona sort of agrees but with lots of conditions - like callie getting another ortho involved who will manage arizona’s case and callie only being involved with the actual development of the prosthetic and not arizona.

and finally, arizona becoming a torres - as arizonas due date approaches, and they’re discussing baby names, arizonas very aware that they will all have different surnames. callie’s a torres, she’s a robbins, sofias a torres-sloan and the baby will be a robbins-torres. and so arizona decides she wants to be a torres so they can all have the same name and they’ll use robbins (or robbin??) as a middle name. and probably toss in a fair bit of arizona who’s always struggled with the pressures of her name and how she wants to be a family yada yada yada

arizona has the babies and they all live happily ever after

So sorry to be the one who broke the bad news!! I’m thrilled to see the community fighting and some media outlets write about the outrage. But I’m sure many feel that this could be another WN emotional roller coaster, so that’s not great.

All that said, I’m so grateful to have gotten what we got on screen from a network show. The cast and crew who have been so Team Kacy. And most of all, that the show sparked REALLY talented queer writers, you’re on the top of my list, to write amazing stories about Kacy and the ohana. So whatever happens, I’m glad you’re a part of this community and I get to revisit your work to soothe the sadness and anger that will bubble up for a while.

And fully with you when you posted about always getting knocked down my a Jemily gifset. I think my touchstone ships have been Jemily, Calzona, and now Kacy. Forever floored by a gifset that shows up on the dashboard of this perfect hellsite.

it’s cool, alex mack goo friend. it’s cool. it has unofficially given me permission to never consume new media though. i’ve got enough trust issues i can’t be adding network television. hashtag get fucked CBS.

i am grateful for the people i’ve met and the people who i’ve connected with. it’s always nice to be in a new fandom and find new people—or even “old” people from other fandoms in previous years. time and fandom are both flat circles. we’ll meet some of these people again. and i’ll gladly follow every one of these actors to whatever their next venture is.

jemily, my beloved. something is happening and on my twitter feed (i am such a lurker), there’s TONS of jemily tweets. i don’t know why. maybe god knows i need them in my life. but i am not mad about it and i will continue to read and watch and yearn for simpler times.

Alias or Ghost whisperer? Maya Bishop or Charlotte King? Charity and Vanessa or Maya and Carina? Hiking or writing?

dude bro... you nicknamed me "shit disturber" like month one of our friendship. Are you actually surprised that I was over here laughing my ass off at the unanimous decision to completely disregard your one request when you reblogged that post? 10/10 Marina fandom!

1. Alias or Ghost Whisperer?

Easy. Ghost Whisperer was a beautiful love story and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the show as it aired, but even when Melinda was being a total bad ass, someone (Jim) would come to her rescue. Sydney Bristow, on the other hand, was established as a woman who could stand on her own two feet in episode one of Alias. Sure, she fell in love eventually, too, but her autonomy was usually front and centre and I'd never seen a character written like that on TV before her. I choose Alias.

2. Maya Bishop or Charlotte King?

Easy again. Charlotte was iconic, but I never got truly obsessed with that show or her character the way I have with Maya. Station 19 stuck a hand through the screen and grabbed me by the throat to say, "Look! This is what you look like! This is what you could be! These are the dark paths you could tumble down if you don't do the work!" I've never felt more represented on screen. I choose Maya.

3. Charity and Vanessa or Maya and Carina?

A lot of the fun of Charity and Vanessa was the fandom, tbh. It's a weird privilege to have access to characters every day of the week and really see their story unfold, but the fandom - particularly the fanfiction - that was born of that time was just... like nothing I've ever experienced before. It pushed me so much to be greater and do more with my own work, for which I will never be able to truly express my gratitude.

With Maya and Carina, though, there's a different sense of community around the show. I think I'm more deeply invested in the storylines because I see so much of myself in Maya. My experience in the fandom is extremely curated, but I've had a lot of fun with the friends I've made and I'm so excited to see old friends from the Calzona fandom slowly joining the circles. It's a bonus, I think, to be able to get so much behind-the-scenes content from the team on Station 19. I choose Maya and Carina. (Biased because I've written my favourite fic ever for this fandom, but it's because of the time I spent with Charity and Vanessa.)

4. Hiking or writing?

This is the utmost cruel one of this bunch. Both of these things impact my health in different ways. Both of these things are integral to my understanding of who I am and how I fit in the world. I've done without hiking for much of this year, though, and even if my body feels strange and foreign... I'm mostly okay. Writing, however, I lived without for many years while my health was terrible and... I wasn't okay then. For a multitude of reasons, but I think writing was a big factor. If I lost every sense and all my freedom, I'd still want to tell stories.

Romano confirms…no penalty for leaving like at Tottenham

Antonio Conte and Napoli have reportedly not inserted an early termination clause into his contract.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano, who is well versed in European soccer news, wrote on his social media account on Monday (Jan. 1), “Conte will stay at Napoli. The details have been agreed upon. Conte will sign a contract until June 2027,” the report said.

Conte has been in the wilderness since stepping down as manager of Tottenham Hotspur. Conte accepted the Spurs job in November 2021, replacing Nuno Espirito Santo. Conte's first season was deemed a success, as the club finished in fourth place.

However, his second season was problematic. The team's results dropped in his second season and he was under increasing pressure. In this situation, Conte dropped a bombshell. “I think it”s the right time to speak out because after this game I think it"s unacceptable. I see selfish players on the pitch,” he criticized.

He eventually parted ways with Tottenham. He left the team in March 2023 by mutual consent. Spurs were then coached by Christian Stellini and Ryan Mason for the remainder of the season. Conte has been in the wilderness for over a year and two months now.

As the end of the season approached, he was linked to a number of clubs. Napoli was one of them. Conte had already been linked to Napoli in January, when he was spotted watching a match in person. However, he wasn't in charge at the time.

It looks like the end of the season has finally brought about a re-discussion. Napoli won the Italian 토토 Serie A title for the first time in 33 years last season, but the team finished the season below expectations. After the departure of Luciano Spalletti, the team was managed by Rudi Garcia, Walter Mazzarri, and Francesco Calzona, but finished the season in 10th place in the league.

Napoli were in contact with Conte shortly after the end of the season, with Italian outlet Sport Mediaset reporting that “Conte and Napoli have grown closer. President De Laurentiis has authorized the finalization of negotiations with an offer of €8 million for a three-year contract.”

They have an open-ended contract. According to Romano, “Conte's Napoli contract does not contain any special clause for the early termination of his contract. It runs until June 2027 with no release clause. There is no official amount or guarantee on paper for the early termination of the contract.”

In recent years, clubs have been sacking managers without completing their contracts, often with large penalties. Thomas Tuchel, who left Bayern Munich with immediate effect, was reportedly hit with a €10 million penalty. However, Napoli have no such contract with Conte.

Conte has never been in charge of a team for more than three years, except for his time at Juventus. He never made it to his third season at Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. During his time at Spurs, Conte's contract was mutually terminated after he failed to fulfill his contractual obligations due to discord with the players. Napoli seem to have a failsafe in place for him.

Is there a specific episode where Station 19 jumped the gun for you? Deluca dying is when I knew that the show had no real investment in Carina and slowly started losing interest. Their marriage and that lame fight proposal was strike two and babies was strike three. Didn’t care with Calzona and didn’t care here. I stuck out this season because they moved on from kids a bit but all the drama felt forced instead of endearing them to me and like you I think it might be time to let go :( Rip to Greys Carina she will always be a top notch character.

Oh, but I'm still watching, and overall my opinion hasn't changed that much! I think it's still an okay show, scoring around an average of 7 (in comparison, Grey's at its best was a 9 at least). From the start there have been parts and characters I enjoy, and ones that I'm less interested in. I loved Maya from the start and I still do (the drama had its great moments too), but when it comes to her relationship with Carina I'm just not that invested anymore - which isn't a deliberate choice! In itself, they still have their cute, fun, etc moments, but within the bigger picture they've started to feel too detached from the rest to me, and I'm not thrilled about that. (Plus, yeah, babytalk... who needs it, really). My interest in Marina isn't what makes or breaks the show to me though. I wouldn't have enjoyed the first two seasons if it did. S19 is more than one character or ship. I've always enjoyed Vic and Travis (and I loved Vic and Ripley), I've got a real soft spot for Jack, and this last season Andy really started to grow on me. In general I just hope for more fun and action, and for less politics (incl the constant captancy talk etc). I hope to see them as a team again, instead of all these little, seperate storylines and (thus) scenes with their s.o.'s. Those folks can be waiting for them at home after a rough shift, or joining them on their anual bbq, I'm all good with that, but please, just let our heroes - finally! - be heroes again!
