I feel like if robotnik came back a third time stone wld react like this (this is so self indulgent and a bit ooc BEWARE)

Stone stared at robotnik for what could have been minutes, hours even, and he wouldn’t have known the wiser.

Standing right before him, a dead man risen for the third time. Robotnik decided to break the silence. He was never really good with those anyways.

“…stone-?”

His agent breaks, to put it simply. He covers his face with his hand, and then the other, breathing ragged. He mutters a bit to himself, indecipherable to the doctor. Is this what he was like to others?

Stone starts to bow forward just then, hands coming up to claw at his hair, pulling it taught, a low growl breathed out from clenched teeth.

“damnit, damnit, DAMNIT! AGAIN? AGAIN? YOU DIE AGAIN?!” Stone yells, suddenly close to robotnik’s largely surprised face.

“Well-”

“How many more time are you going to explode, or disappear, or- or- get stuck in rubble? Huh? Cause I don’t think-” the man breathlessly chuckles in exasperation, “-no, I know I can’t go through that again. How many more times are you going to do this?! What, the next time you get stuck in the space-time continuum?” Stone gestures wildly, turning his back on robotnik and scrubbing his face with his hands, hair sticking in an odd direction.

Robotnik is at a loss for words, which doesn’t happen very often. Less than the amount of times he’s died, actually.

“One time, suree, we work in the government, it’s practically a given! Two is pushing it. Three? THREE, DOCTOR?” Stone starts to laugh again. Robotnik is getting a little freaked out. “I am so tired. You have no idea. AGAIN? YOU DIE AGAIN?” Stone heaves. “AND THEN COME BACK AGAIN?” He scrubs his eyes once more and groans. “Why can’t I be the one to die and come back again just to see what it’s like? You seem to enjoy it so much.”

“Well, I wasn’t exactly planning on dying,” robotnik tries to reason, placing a hand on the agent’s shoulders.

“I cannot believe I’m saying this, but can you please chill the fuck out and take a breath?”

Stone heaves, voice breaking. “I’m just so, so tired, Ivo.”

I will say the only part that confuses me about Ody looking so young still is the fact that he's already mostly grey/white haired BEFORE 600 Strikes, is he not? Based on your timeline of his design?

yeah in my 100% canon he goes grey within like. a year and a half-two years on calypso's island because of the stress.

but i don't usually abide by my 100% canon and default to his troy-wisdom saga look for things! :3

I want to make a big character analysis post about garroth because not only do fans who hate him mischaracize him, the show itself does as well. Garroths betrayal during the end of season 1 AT ITS CORE is out of character and it was that out of character action that led us to the almost more egregious on of his blow up at aphmau at the end of season 2. Something even jess herself says she regrets because garroth wouldnt do that. And then in rebirth they make him significantly more angry and that's just NOT garroth romeave okay that's not him.

The watcher DLC is peak as fuck. Like, so fucking peak. The peakest Rain World's ever been even.

I looove base game and Downpour but I had read the wiki before even considering to buy rain world so I was spoiled for everything. Watcher though? Started it on release day so I not only played it blind but even when I wanted information there was none.

Without spoilers, if you're a fan of Rain World's lore or of its narrative, YOU NEED TO PLAY IT. I literally cried real tears when I got to the end. The gameplay is fun (if a little confusing though they're fixing that with QoL updates), the visuals are stunning, the new creatures and items added are great, and I literally cannot stop listening to the OST. It is worth your money. Trust me.]

@threestarsaboveclouds is an iterator ask-blog that belongs to @delta-orionis, their posts are LONG and full of lore and I am honestly in awe people like Delta give so much to the RW fandom - it's free, high quality entertainment done purely for hobby. I have a lot of respect for their work. Besides, TSAC's color palette is very striking, which is what has initially drawn me to this AU.

@ask-the-colony-tree-siblings is @mushroominaforest's ask blog, and in this AU Arti and Hunter are siblings! Also, Mushroom's art style is a treat and immediately recognizable and I'm happy when i see it pop up in RW tag.

@firecracker-pup is run by @batnip; in a way it's a sibling-askblog to mine because both of our AUs center around the reinterpretation of Artificer's blue pup.

Honorable mentions:

@spotsupstuff's takes on RW lore and all their work surrounding iterators (my biggest blind spot) had my jaw drop to the ground and roll off into the seas - it's brilliant. I'll admit, I feel like a lot of ask-blogs have died in the last 6 months? A handful of artists that were considered big - left the fandom. I'm not quite sure why that happened, but I'm hoping that the Watcher DLC brings some of them back (maybe).
