According to a report from Indian news outlet The Economic Times, Apple executives have been meeting with key Indian government officials to explore the possibility of moving a huge chunk of Apple’s iPhone production from China to India. Manufacturing revenues could soar to as much as $40 billion over the next five years. This is according to “officials familiar with the matter.” We expect Apple to produce up to $40 billion worth of smartphones, mostly for exports through its contract manufacturers Wistron and Foxconn, availing the benefits under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme.” Apple doesn’t necessarily have a large market in India. According to the official, Apple wants India to be a new manufacturing base, mainly for export, likely to diversify its production outside of China. It’s reported that as much as 20% of Apple’s iPhone production could be moved to India. The Indian official expects mobile phone exports to surpass $100 billion by 2025. From 2019-2020, smartphone exports out of India were around $3 billion. Apple already produces some iPhone XR units in India via Foxconn. Via Winstron, Apple once produced the first-gen iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, and iPhone 7 in India, but have since been discontinued. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #india #china #iphonex #iphonexr #iphone12pro #iphone12promax #iphone12 #iphone11promax #iphone11 #iphone11pro #iphonexs #production #iphonese #foxconn #manufacturing #indiangovernment #revenue https://www.instagram.com/p/CAFYxauAGsB/?igshid=aio6qg4nng6q

Display The biggest improvement in iPhone 12 Pro will be the new 120Hz ProMotion Display. This means that the display will be up to par with other flagships in the market. However, Apple is expected to do even better by providing 120Hz refresh rate without sacrificing display resolution. Face ID Apple will be reducing the size of the notch that houses Face ID components. Despite the miniaturization of components, Apple is also working on improving Face ID's functionality. Face ID on iPhone 12 Pro will not only work with wider angles, similar to iPad Pro, but also support a new dynamic zoning algorithm which will allow it to crop into certain facial features and track them more efficiently. Camera The video details that Apple tested a 64MP camera but scrapped plans because it had poor auto-focus performance. The new iPhone will ship with a 12MP sensor, with auto-focus performance improved by 2-3 times compared to the current generation. This is partly due to the new LiDAR sensor which will also help in improving low-light photography. Coupled with improved EIS for low-light, slow-motion video recording, astrophotography and night mode will gain the most out of these changes. Portrait mode photos will also be improved because of the LiDAR sensor. Apple is also testing portrait videos with the sensor, but might release it with a future update, or just delay it to iPhone 13, as the results are not satisfactory at the moment. Smart HDR will also see improvements with improved noise reduction. The telephoto camera will now support 3x optical zoom and also support night mode. However, the ultra-wide camera will not receive any of these improvements. Improved Digital Zoom up to 30x might also be added to the camera, because of A14's performance. Current iPhones support just 10x optical zoom and the results show that it is not worth using. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #iphone #iphones #iphone12promax #iphone12pro #iphone12 #appleiphone #camera #display #120hz #faceid #zoom #opticalzoom #australia #austria #usa #uk #canada #iceland #sweden #switzerland #france #spain #italy #rome https://www.instagram.com/p/CABBx9IASDG/?igshid=io4u4h942d2n

Back in March Apple said that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will be held online, but it didn't share the date. Now we know it will kick off on June 22. WWDC will be hosted virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and for the first time, it will be free for the developers. The event will be streamed live through the Apple Developer app and Apple Developer website. In addition to announcing the WWDC date, Apple announced the Swift Student Challenge that allows students to showcase their love of coding by creating an interactive scene in a Swift playground on the topic of their choice. Those interested in the Swift Student Challenge have time until May 17, 11:59 PM PDT to submit their applications. Winners of the challenge will get an exclusive WWDC20 jacket and pin set.  . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page_wwdc #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #wwdc #wwdc2020 #2020 #worldwidedevelopersconference #conference #developers #covid19 #online #onlineevent #australia #usa #uk #spain #canada #newyork #losangeles #california ##challenge #student #students #coding #iceland #france https://www.instagram.com/p/B_2ML5cgkzd/?igshid=13ipu5ndmre5h

First and foremost, the API can only be used for the development of apps for the official government public health authority to stop the spread of COVID-19. Also, no location tracking can be used, only Bluetooth can be leveraged for discovering contacts. This is because the Bluetooth can work indoors and it's enough to detect if you've been in close proximity to an infected person. There are some apps that have been released in some countries that rely on location services - Apple and Google say they will stay on their app stores but they can't use the API. Once the app is installed, it would require the user's explicit consent to broadcast their positive test result or any related info. No other info should be broadcasted in order to keep the privacy of the users. Regarding tests, they should be tied with a unique number, which in turn would be used by the user to register into the app. The tests with the unique number should be approved by the official governing body. This would eliminate the possibility of people broadcasting false test results that haven't been approved by the public health agencies or those who would "self-report". There could only be one app per country, though, as it would avoid fragmentation. There are some cases in which the country may decide to split the apps per region and in this case, Apple and Google will cooperate and make sure the proper app would appear in the said region when the user searches for it. The two tech giants also have the plan to release a system-level notification feature sometime this year. As for now, the API should do fine and they even released a sample for the UI. Here's how your local app may look like. The API would be made available only to developers appointed by their local government to make an app. Apple and Google will make the full source code available to those developers to speed up the process. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page_google #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #google #apple #api #developers #ui #report #privacy #location #australia #austria #france #germany #iceland #canada #usa #uk #india #switzerland #bluetooth #europe #hungary #italy #hungary #brasil #argentina https://www.instagram.com/p/B_1i2jZAIW5/?igshid=1c0vzcywmat8o

Google Drive gained a new privacy feature for its iPhone and iPad users dubbed Privacy Screen which gives an extra layer of protection with Touch ID or Face ID authentication when launching the app. You can have the new Privacy Screen feature appear at launch or delay it by 10 seconds, 1 minute or 10 minutes. The updated iPhone and iPad versions are already live on the App Store. The new feature is part of the latest 4.2020.18204 build which also brings stability improvements and bug fixes. Google warns you that some aspects like notifications are not completely protected by Privacy Screen. . . . . #techies_page_ios #techies_page_apple #techies_page_googledrive #techies_page_google #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #google #googledrive #drive #ios #apple #appstore #privacy #iphone #ipad #protection #touchid #faceid #feature #bug #australia #austria #hungary #iceland #usa #uk #canada #app https://www.instagram.com/p/B_1eCkqAeKC/?igshid=1p1ht3y34e0jp

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Apple has closed down its stores across the globe, except for mainland China. And with countries finally taking some break from the situation, the company is looking to re-open the first store in Europe, the one in Vienna, Austria. Tim Cook has already stated that it would re-open its stores in Austria and Australia soon but no official time table has been given. But according to Heute, the store will open doors today, May 5. The retail stores are tricky and require some degree of planning. After all, they draw crowds and offer hands-on demos of products and these two things are a major factor in exposing a lot of people to the infection. Frequent disinfection and limiting the amount of people inside the store are a must. For now, Apple will continue to encourage customers to shop online while the stores will focus more on services and support. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #applestore #appleiphone #iphones #macbook #macbookpro #ipad #iphonex #iphonexr #iphone11 #iphone11pro #iphone11promax #vienna #austria #australia #usa #uk #india #china #iceland #switzerland #denmark #covid19 #timcook #open https://www.instagram.com/p/B_y5w3Ag4XC/?igshid=8fjsjjsc250h

Apple just announced the latest hardware refresh of its 13-inch MacBook Pro bringing minor specs refresh and an overdue change in keyboard. The most notable change is the keyboard. Say bye to the unreliable butterfly switches and say hello to the new Magic Keyboard just like on the rest of the Apple laptops. It uses the good old scissor switches offering longer travel as well. The Esc key is now physical too. The base internal storage is no longer 128GB - it's 256GB instead. And that doesn't affect the starting price too. The notebook still starts at $1,299 but you get the older 8th Generation Intel CPU. If you want the latest 10th Generation chip from Intel, you'll have to pay $500 extra for the base Core i5 model with 512GB SSD and 16GB of RAM. Yes, the 10th Generation models come with 16GB of faster 3733MHz LPDDR4X memory as a standard. You can up the storage to 4TB too. No design changes have been made and the MacBook Pro 13 is up for sale starting today with actual units shipping as early as this week. . . . . #techies_page_macbookpro #techies_page_apple #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #applemacbookpro #applemacbook #macbookpro #macbookpro13 #macbook #magickeyboard #laptops #esc #cpu #australia #updates #usa #uk #canada #india #china #germany #iceland #switzerland #intel #spain #france #westafrica https://www.instagram.com/p/B_xiS1JA7f6/?igshid=zh89ld1yr3f0

We keep getting bits and pieces of the upcoming iPhone 12 lineup - including almost finished design, and some specs. Well, we now have the first clues about pricing as well. Let's start with the premium ones. The iPhone 12 Pro with the 6.1-inch display will be selling for $999 while the iPhone 11 Pro Max successor with the massive 6.7-inch screen will ask $1,099. Which is exactly as much as their predecessors cost. The rumored budget duo, or in other words, the iPhone 11 successor with 6.1-inch display and the smaller variant featuring 5.4-inch diagonal, will be priced at $749 and $649, respectively. And it's important to note that those two models will still be getting that 5G support and would boast OLED screens too. Dual camera setups are also on the list. Of course, the pricing might change before launch but if it were to be true, we are seeing some pretty decent pricing as far as Apple smartphones go. This year we saw a significant rise in prices of some Android flagships that gained 5G support, but it looks like Apple isn't going to charge extra for that feature. The sources also add that we should expect the phones to arrive later this year because of the COVID-19 outbreak and we may see them sometime within the October-November time frame. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #appleiphone #iphones #iphone12 #iphone12pro #iphone12promax #iphone11 #iphone11pro #iphone11promax #covid19 #oled #usa #uk #australia #india #china #dualcamera #5g #pricing #southkorea #canada #france #taiwan #indonesia #argentina https://www.instagram.com/p/B_p4lb2AxIM/?igshid=1oubt840klw7z

iOS 13.5 beta is out with COVID-19 exposure notification API, easier unlocking when wearing a mask. Earlier this month Apple released the first public beta of the upcoming iOS 13.4.5, and today the company has made the third beta available for testing by people who enrolled their devices into the Apple Beta program. Here's the thing, though. It isn't called iOS 13.4.5 anymore, from this point on it shall be known as iOS 13.5. That's because this version includes a beta iteration of the new exposure notification API, which should aid health authorities track the spread of COVID-19. This means developers can now start writing apps that take advantage of this API. There's a user-facing toggle to it as well, which lets you opt in or out of participating in COVID-19 exposure notifications. Because of this new API being added, the new iOS beta is using a different SDK than iOS 13.4, which is why the switch from iOS 13.4.5 to iOS 13.5 became a must. Otherwise, this build includes easier unlocking of your iPhone with a passcode when you're wearing a mask. If the Face ID sensors detect that you're wearing a mask, then the passcode keyboard will instantly pop up, making getting into your handset that much faster. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page_ios #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #ios #apple #covid19 #api #unlocking #unlock #mask #faceunlock #iphones #appleiphone #iphonese #iphone11 #iphone11pro #iphone11promax #iphonexr #iphonexs #iphonex #faceid #ios13 #ios13point5 #beta #usa #uk #australia https://www.instagram.com/p/B_mSU70A_Qt/?igshid=1r7u1n2q0tqvp

Apple has pushed iPhone 12 mass production back 1 month, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. This means that the iPhone 12 will likely be launch later than usual, possibly towards the end of October. This report comes a week after Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo's report of an iPhone 12 production delay of 1 month, despite earlier claims that production will go on as usual. The WSJ report continues that Apple has cut build estimates for the months from July until the end of the year by 20%. Apple's iPhone 12 will be the biggest change to iPhone since the iPhone X in 2017. It will bring a new, iPad Pro-inspired design, with sharp edges and flat sides and usher in new sizes - a smaller 5.4-inch, a larger 6.7-inch, and two 6.1-inch models. It will also bring 5G support, a LiDAR-assisted camera on the Pro models, and the new 5nm Apple A14 chip, based on TSMC's process. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #iphone12pro #iphone12promax #iphone12 #iphones #iphone #massproduction #production #wallstreetjournal #report #wsj #iphonex #ipadpro #lidar #applea14 #a14 #a14bionic #tsmc #5nm #design #iphone11pro #iphone11promax #usa #australia #uk https://www.instagram.com/p/B_hQjTUg63q/?igshid=kdb78vl7ilnj

Apple is planning to start mass production of new AirPods at the end of 2020. This was revealed by the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo where he revealed the earphones will arrive in Q1 2021. The note to investors, quoted by Apple Insider, also revealed the second-gen AirPods Pro are not coming any time soon - Cupertino will start mass production at the end of calendar 2021, so they should be out in Q1 2022. According to Kuo, the market might be expecting new AirPods, but will actually get a new Beats model. He also reported a shift in demand from the second-gen basic AirPods to the AirPods Pro, despite their higher price. Shipments of the non-Pro earphones is likely to decline up to 40% QoQ and reach 11-13 million sold units in the second half of 2020. Calculations of the analyst reveal that Apple might ship up to 90 million sets of AirPods by the end of 2020 - 50 to 55 million of the AirPods, the rest 35-40 million being AirPods Pro. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #airpods #airpodspro #appleairpods #appleairpodspro #insider #beats #usa #unitedstates #unitedkingdom #uk #australia #canada #germany #spain #indonesia #argentina #armenia #austria #brasil #india #china #earphones #earbuds #europe https://www.instagram.com/p/B_ZiPbBgEEX/?igshid=1o7ujxmov3abj

Apple is planning to launch at least one ARM-based Mac next year, reports Bloomberg. According to its sources, Apple is working on three custom ARM-based chipsets for Macs, which will be based on the A14 processor that will power the 2020 iPhones. Although based on the A14, the Mac versions of these chipsets will be much more powerful. Exactly how powerful? According to the the report, the first of these three chipsets will have eight high-performance cores (codename: Firestorm) and at least four low-power cores (codename: Icestorm) for efficiency. The later models will have more than 12 cores. For context, the current Apple A13 is blowing the doors off the competition with a 6-core design. The chipsets will be manufactured by TSMC on the company's 5nm fabrication process. It will be a complete system-on-chip, including the CPU and GPU on a single die similar to the current A-series chipsets. The Macs with ARM-based chipsets will continue to run macOS operating system. Apple will likely offer some system to port existing x86 applications to the ARM instruction set. The company's Catalyst feature currently allows developers to port their iOS apps to macOS, so it's possible the feature could be updated to do the opposite. It's most likely that the first ARM-based Macs would be MacBooks, as the performance and efficiency ARM brings will mostly benefit mobile computers. However, we wouldn't be surprised the standard, non-Pro iMacs also make the jump some time in the near future. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #iphones #arm #mac #bloomberg #sources #macs #a14bionic #a14 #cores #ios #macos #cpu #gpu #tsmc #fabrication #5nm #macbookpro #macbook #macbooks #imac #imacpro #usa #australia #uk https://www.instagram.com/p/B_VashFgahQ/?igshid=qnov29woikg5

An iOS flaw has been discovered, which would allow hackers to crash and reset an iPhone or iPad and gain access to some of the stored data. The vulnerability is in the Mail app and is activated by sending a special email, even a blank one, which causes the device to crash. From there the hacker could gain access to the device's emails and even its entire data by using a kernel exploit. The flaw is zero-click on devices running iOS 13, which means that the user doesn't need to open the email in order to get hacked - it's received in the background and starts wreaking havoc. The flaw was discovered by San Francisco-based private security company ZecOps, during an investigation of a cyber attack against one of its clients. The client in question is a Fortune 500 North American company. ZecOps has apparently found evidence that the flaw was exploited before, once again targeting high-profile business users, although this hasn't been verified. Apple has acknowledged that the flaw exists and that it's working to fix it. A patch has apparently been included in the iOS 13.4.5 beta, which is yet to be released to all devices. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page_ios #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #ios #flaw #hackers #hack #crash #reset #iphone #ipad #data #mail #blank #ios13 #ios13beta #sanfrancisco #private #security #zecops #investigation #cyberattack #clients #evidence #business #apple #fixit https://www.instagram.com/p/B_VWGNFANBf/?igshid=18w07cjdvay19

When Apple relaunched the iPhone SE (2020) with the current A13 Bionic chipset, many were celebrating the opportunity to get iPhone 11 Pro Max performance at a far more affordable price. Early reviews would heavily praise the performance, but now the SE appeared on AnTuTu and posted an underwhelming score of under 500,000, which is well off the performance of the 2019 iPhones. Looking at the result breakdown of the iPhone SE (2020), the CPU and GPU yield is closer to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max that are powered by an A12 Bionic platform. Memory speed is the only thing pushing the 256GB iPhone SE way ahead of the XS family with the result of 77,968, which is in line with the iPhone 11 trio. On paper the iPhone SE (2020) appeared to be a combination between the iPhone 8 body, iPhone XR camera, and iPhone 11 Pro chipset. Sadly, the last bit comes with an important disclaimer as the SoC was clearly underclocked to maintain decent battery life. Even so the performance is better than any other phone costing $399/€479, particularly when it comes to graphics where the low screen resolution is bound to produce unmatched framerates. . . . . #techies_page_apple #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #apple #iphonese2 #iphonese2020 #iphonese #iphone11 #iphone11pro #iphone11promax #iphonexr #iphone8 #256gb #3gbram #a13bionicchip #a13bionic #chipset #underclocked #usa #unitedstates #china #uk #unitedkingdom #antutu #antutubenchmark #benchmarks #performance #socs https://www.instagram.com/p/B_VUYZFACK3/?igshid=1tcgtgedwmq4u
