I think the reason why I find Scout ships so appealing is that no matter who you pair him up with (romantic or platonically), they indulge him with their time.

It’s the patience they seem to have for him, listening to his rambles that are often overlooked or deemed annoying but they decided to actually try and understand him.

There’s just something so special to me about enjoying the company of someone who wants to hear what you have to say, who gives you their time willingly and in abundance.

hey what if outlaw ty picked up some shitty black nail polish at the store one day and confidently stated that he was going to paint texas michaels nails. and texas michaels like, you are? and outlaw tys like, yes! you know, i used to do this all the time when i was younger- not in recent times, unfortunately, but, ah, itd be nice to get back into the habit of it. and hes saying all that while gently holding texas michaels hand in place as he carefully applies the nail polish. and texas michael thinks back to all the times they were in this same exact position -different tys, different michaels- except the nail polish applicator was a butchers knife, instead of stories from tys younger years they were empty platitudes. and he still lets outlaw ty paint his nails
