A fragmented conversation between space, text, and material residue, an interface of memories and half-loaded thoughts.

The words create a dialogue between documentation and distortion. Each element is an artifact of a moment that both happened and is still happening.

I wanted to play with punk zine aesthetics, the visual identity of net art minimalism, and post-internet debris with a detached approach to curation. There’s a clinical emptiness, but also the overwhelming sense that something is lurking beneath the surface.

With this designed instagram feed I wanted to create a void filled with digital ruins, physical leftovers, and the uncanny weight of presence - shot in a Miami-based artists studio.

I re-blogged this photo because the ad words and image used to express the message creates a powerful advertisement. The texts are grouped together to create a symbol of duct tape, used to cover the woman’s mouth. By chunking the ad words together, the reader can easily identify that these elements are related to each other. The words create a clear starting point for the reader, and then direct their attention to the image of the women’s face.
