My Outer Wilds Solar System Map Embroidery Pattern is finally done, and up for sale on my ko-fi!

The pattern includes a printable template (which you can use on printable fabric, or copy onto your fabric by hand) plus a 25-page booklet detailing the steps to take for every section of the pattern. I've also included suggestions on how to improve on my initial design!

This is currently up on my ko-fi for $4 USD, and is a digital product (nothing physical will ship; you'll have to supply your own fabric and thread, though I give a list of all the DMC thread colors I used).

One of the coolest things we did was learn about Bai style tie-dyeing (bottom two pictures)

I don't have any progress photos for this one, as I was pretty wrapped up in finally starting a rewatch of the superman animated series, but hey, check it out, instead of cat poke holes, strawberries!

Picked out some red thread based on the suggestion of the pattern that I grabbed from a library book, how to embroider every cute thing by Nihon Vogue.

Several episodes of superman, and a loaf of sourdough bread having baked, later, we've got little strawbebbies! They even have authentic little "bonus lumpies" where I had to add extra stitching to cover holes arising from stitches, since apparently I was using too big of a needle! (Don't worry, I solve this problem with that newfangled dissolve-able backing eventually)

For Nano-lame-o day 5 i finished that project! It's crazy how often projects that I've been procrastinating on for months only need a couple hour's push to get to the end.

WIP Wednesday!

Been slowly working on this guy, my first project that I'm winging completely without a pattern so there's been some frogging lol.

Head is completely done and I'm currently on my third attempt trying to make high top sneakers for him. I think I'm happy with how it's turning out! The tongue is going to be the same teal as the eye, maybe some yellow trim? and then going to try socks.

Also started this dress project last week. I love sparkly yarn! ✨

eat your heart out: suffer from excessive longing for something unattainable // used to indicate that one thinks someone will feel great regret .

🥩 this piece as been known as ‘ untitled ’ for too long now, “ eat your heart out ” felt very fitting considering this textile art is supposed to represent your chest being torn apart— though visually, a current work in progress .

the idea of eat your heart out lies in the fact that one is longing for the distribution of deception to finally come to an end, and instead portray the truth. lies hiding fact eat away and tear at your flesh, to the paint it pains your heart .
