We need new kinds of Transformers stories

Transformers is about war. It's not surprising that there's a lot of focus on the events before, during, and after the Civil War, especially all of the tragedies, despair, and losses. And not to mention the main tragedy of Transformers- that the destruction of Cybertronian civilization was preventable and could have been stopped at any time. Death and tragedy are deeply entrenched in this franchise.

But I'd give anything to see a Transformers story that takes place nowhere near the war physically or chronologically.

Show me the original Primes exploring Cybertron for the first time. Describe to us their awe and excitement for the new world soon to be teeming with life.

Show me the first Cybertronian explorers wandering throughout the cosmos. Tell us about their travels through undiscovered galaxies- how they laid their eyes on new stars and dying planets.

Show me a world where the war is nothing more than a distant memory, where the Autobots and Decepticons and their battles are legendary figures and myths. Share with us how these stories inspire the next generation of Cybertronians- or even discourage them from performing specific actions-

As much as the stories about the Great War are essential to the franchise, stories of a Cybertron untouched by the war would enrich it even more…

I’m not sure if this had been asked before, but what do the Primes think of Grisha Jaeger? Grisha made some mistakes before, some of them catastrophic in the case of Zeke, but the guy was mostly a victim who was forced and manipulated into doing nasty stuff (in the case of him killing the royal family).

They feel sympathy for Grisha. And guilt.

Because they have watched Grisha’s whole life. They saw him see Faye's corpse. They saw him when he joined the Restorationists, and when he actively abused Zeke. They saw him gain the power of the titans and refuse to use it until all options were exhausted.

They have seen Grisha go from someone that was selfish to someone who was selfless. They saw Grisha going from being hellbent on revenge to actively helping and healing people. He put the lives of both Carla and Eren over his own mission and only took action when he was on his last year of life.

And they feel guilty because they probably would have succeeded if they didn't get caught up with Eren and let their angry emotions push Grisha over the edge.

They feel for Grisha and have ultimately decided not to punish him or enact anything on him. They really just let him go reincarnate because he was pretty much a victim majority of the time.

Grisha does get to grow up and have a normal childhood with Faye. They checked in at one point.

So in my learning of Medieval English things, specifically Old English things, one thing I learned of was of comitatus, which if I understand is a group of warriors that serve a lord, or a thane

Should probably explain a bit more about them but I’m a bit lazy at the moment. But it was a warrior culture, being part of a comitatus is very important, the members were all very close and it’s got some homoerotic vibes in my opinion. Beowulf and The Wanderer are stories where this is important, The Wanderer being of a former warrior who is the only remaining member of his comitatus, his lord also being dead

Anyways, I bring this up because I was thinking of it with Transformers. I was thinking basically, what if you had this sort of setup with the Primes?

Like, each Prime had their own group of warriors and such that served them, and if you want to bring in the romance the groups may have something closer than just servants of the Prime but it’s more complicated than just a giant polycule. I’d say with this idea, the Primes should be more separate and not a group of thirteen all at once, maybe even only one alive at a time

Maybe this could also apply to Optimus and/or Sentinel as well, I don’t know

But I don’t know, I thought it was interesting and maybe a neat idea to maybe apply to Transformers. The Primes are supposed to be old anyways, why not apply old history things?

What if, when, celestial/godly transformers like the Primes/etc, are damaged, their energon, instead of bleeding out, crystallizes into the limb that they've lost. For example, if one of them lost an arm, they just got it back, but it was crystal?

I don’t think either of them would vibe with tfp Megatron. Tfo megs would probably try to subtly follow tfp prime around though (which would annoy his Optimus)
