Time to Celebrate

I'm not sure why but I feel like celebrating. I'll put it down to starting and finishing a home improvement project yesterday. I had to deal with plumbing and a very tight corner that made it hard to get to the connection and fixing leaks from the new addition.

It's done and not leaking so I figure it was a few hours well spent. I found out I'm still pretty flexible and can contort to squeeze into positions I thought I'd left behind in my youth.

With my flexibility established I think I may trade yoga, which I find hard to do with two very curious dogs, for Thai Chi. Same breathing but standing movement vs. a lot of floor positions where my dogs can pounce and try to lick me into submission and handing out treats.

I can't wait to see how they react to the invisible ball I'm moving around while destressing. Yasha will demand to sniff it and the other will probably jump on me trying to see if it's edible. Yes, these two are my main source of joy and entertainment.

So, it's a celebration to flexibility, invisible balls being moving through the air, and accomplishing a small feat in plumbing and home DIY. So grab your beverage of choice, it's morning here so I've brewed tea and am looking at my headphones and tarot/oracle decks, and join me. Just do something you enjoy. Even if it's only for 5 minutes. Enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, other beverage, snack, music, etc.

Take time to think of all the small things you've accomplished. Made your bed? Did your school assignment? Wrote in a journal? Nothing is to small...it's a celebration day!

Top 10 2023 BL Kisses

If you've seen at least a couple BLs you know that some of these actors are either uncomfortable kissing another man or just didn't get enough practice kissing literally anyone. So when they get it right and genuinely seem to be enjoying themselves, it is worth noting. Soooo grab a pen and paper, and take some notes:

You Are Mine: This Taiwanese drama was problematique with the unbalanced workplace power dynamics, but this sweet upside down kiss was worth the wait.

Dangerous Romance: This may not have been their first kiss, but it felt like the most romantic. By this point, they'd shared many scenes filled with awkward sexual tension, but this one didn't have an ounce of humor, and Kanghan and Sailom just melted into each other's arms.

Kiseki: Dear to Me: The lighting for this kiss really emphasized their till-death-do-us-part themed dialogue where they vowed to die seconds apart.

Stay By My Side: Lackluster supernatural subplot aside, this Taiwanese drama delivered the most adorable kiss as the main lead was too nervous to give in to his desires without closing his eyes.

Be My Favorite: It took Kawi a frustratingly long time to pull his head out of his ass and realize he would be lucky to have Pisaeng even as a friend let alone a boyfriend. Thank goodness for Pisaeng's patience, cause ours was wearing thin.

Love Class 2: Very happy Ma Ru realized he had feelings for his bestie and wasted no time making that clear with an epic kiss that I have probably rewatched a dozen times.

Only Friends: Honestly, all of their kisses were incredible, because both of these actors went from supporting characters to lead roles, and did not skip a beat. There was no awkward beginner's kiss phase. Those intimacy workshops must've been lit.

Step by Step: Their kiss chemistry was on point, but the car scenes were the most memorable for how very possible they would've been caught in the act in the parking garage of their place of employment. Caution meet wind.

Wedding Plan: These two were about five seconds away from making a baby in that car, and if this were the omegaverse, they probably would've.

Hidden Agenda: There was hunger in that kiss on both sides, and it took every ounce of strength in Zo to shove Joke out the door once he made his intention clear.

Jiang Chi has it so bad. He is smitten for Bu Xia beyond words and just plain old happy to have any chance to be with him. He's in love, your honor.

While Bu Xia is still living in denial central, unsure about his feelings because he's too scared of the ghosts to think about himself and because he's trying so so hard not to think about this. I love him too, okay? I get it. I see it. I see why he's so loveable that Jiang Chi is willing to go at his pace and be patient and be open.

But also it's very amusing that Jiang Chi isn't holding back now. He's been very clear with Bu Xia that he likes him and wants to date him and Bu Xia can just kind of... sputter about it without ever actually saying no. And he might pull back but each time he does he's fully respected and Jiang Chi might not let it stop him but he also doesn't keep pushing. He lets this happen, mostly, at Bu Xia's speed.

Jiang Chi is ready to go steady but he can tell Bu Xia just isn't. And so he asks but he also waits. I love it. Patience!

I like this handling of the trope because, while never my favorite, it was sensitive, showed Jiang Chi willingly backing off and taking responsibility for his kiss and exactly how much Bu Xia does not do self-reflection. Jiang Chi is acting off the signals Bu Xia doesn't even know he's giving because he's not letting himself think past the ghosts.

Psychopath edition :

1. Bible ( kinnporsche )

> I think this explains itself, Bible’s Vegas is literally (almost) a psychopath. Especially the torture scenes, I think Bible will make a good psychopath in a series/movie. Just imagine, you see a sweet bartender everyday at the coffeeshop you visit but one night you accidentally witness something you shouldn’t have. The bartender you had a crush on, has a weird hobby of plucking out all the teeth of the people he has killed.

2. Perth ( never let me go, love by chance )

> I don’t know, Perth acting in never let me go convinces me that Perth can act as a psychopath. Something about the way his emotions and behaviour switching about in the show. Like how he has a crush on Ben and tells Nuengdiao that Ben isn’t a good person to keep Ben all to himself. Like imagine a yandere type of character? Chopper gives “ if I can’t have you, you can’t have anyone else ” kinda vibe. Toxic yes. I know it’s toxic. But like imagine how Perth could pull off a psychotic character like it would be hot. Okay I’m a walking red flag I need help. The backstory is there.. I mean.. imagine if Chopper listened to his Dad or turned out the way his Dad wanted him too. It is a possibility.

3. Fourth ( My school President )

> OKAY HEAR ME OUT! Something about his line in My school President “ smile, Mr School President ” screams manipulative. Like I think man can pull it off no problem. Just imagine, THE DUALITY THIS MAN CAN PULL OFF. Okay i don’t know I just feel like it is possible. Like I feel that fourth can take on a more darker ? Role. I don’t even believe, like it would be a good PLOT TWIST cause the man is a cutie like you wouldn’t expect him to be a bad guy. So it’s like when it’s revealed that he was the one behind everything it will be like :0. Do you know what I mean

4. Max ( manners of death )

While watching manners of death, I was convinced he was the one behind everything. Maybe it’s because of my habit of skipping when things drag out but you can’t convince me otherwise!! Something about the way he acts in manners of death makes me feel that can pull off a psychopath character. Like what my brain was thinking while watching the show was : this rich ass dude fell in love with the doctor dude and now he wants the doctor to be his only doctor so he ask his men to threaten the doctor’s safety so that he can save the man of his dream and killed of everyone the doctor trust so that the doctor only has him. You know? Same? No just me?

P.S : found this in my drafts, so Imma just publish it hehe. Just some of my thoughts and it’s just got FUN. Pretty sure this was written like 2? Months ago.

I’m on book 3 already. So much fun! Gonna go read the next book after I took a break to color my previous doodles.

Edit: Finished all 10 books. I love it so much! Though the later ones are too painful, the special short stories at the end are so good and it ends beautifully. Have high hopes for Yuwu. Might read those when all books get translated.
