Imagine Johnny being your ex.

You ended the relationship on a positive note. Both willing to remain friends and check up on each other when you needed it most.

Which is exactly where you were at the moment. The world closing in around you like a vice. Suffocating in responsibilities. Drowning in the needs of others while you barely had a moment to catch a breath for yourself. All you wanted was a helping hand to bring you back to the surface. Yet none ever came.

'How ya doin', bonnie?'

His message popped up on your phone's screen while you rummaged through the endless unanswered texts and phone calls from extended friends and family.

Tearing down the walls of your security in four simple words. Your vision beginning to blur as the threat of tears brimmed within the exhausted whites of your eyes.

'Been better.'

You texted back haphazardly. Thumbs flying over the screen to hit send. Already going to the next message from another family member before registering the harshness in your swift and emotionless response.

'Wanna talk about it?'

The message flashed at the top of the screen. However, your attention was pulled elsewhere. The weight of responsibility shifted onto your shoulders, swiping away his attention while focusing only on the heavy needs at hand.

It wasn't even five minutes later that your phone vibrated against the table. Expecting to see a familial name, yet somehow not entirely surprised when Johnny's picture flashed across the screen.

With a heavy sigh, you reluctantly swiped right to answer the call.

"Donnae start, bonnie. Are ya home?"

Every cell in that moment erupted. The sound of his voice soothing you into a state you had forgotten ever existed, imploding into his natural affection as you attempted to hold back the emotion trembling within your voice.

"Yeah," was all you could manage on a bated breath.

"Aye. I'll be there in ten."

Not even twenty minutes later, you were pressed against him in a comforting embrace. Your head resting within the peaceful cavern of his chest, his soothing baritone softening the sharp edges of your psyche as his strong arms held you close to his easily cemented soul.

"Easy, bonnie. I'm 'ere." He coaxed, a gentle brush of his fingers against your temple, relaxing you to his touch as he eased himself back into your pained existence.

"Johnny.."

"I know, hen. An' I'll be here. As long as ya need me. Jus' like I promised."

I'm ignoring the fact that John died at 45 in real life, they will grow old together by God I will make them happy

I'm imagining them old and grey, still living together and going on dates even though they can't really goof off as much as they used to in their youth but they still try to goof off and have fun as much as the can

thinking Gale's blonde hair would turn white but still stays kind of full and John just has salt and pepper hair, but his beard and mustache get grey and white (sobbing)

Bucky would still drag Gale into their living room and sway gently while holding Gale, even though he can't dance as fast or sing as obnoxiously as they used to on base but still pulls the same smirk from Gale even though it's through glasses and wrinkles

John would still try to do dumb shit with Gale even though he can't really do it as well as he used to. he'll try to lift Gale up and Gale will tell him he's gonna hurt himself but he does it anyway, complaining about how he's not in the prime anymore

they still go on dates together, pottery, baseball games and museums, I'm kinda weeping thinking about them being "old timers" at games and all of the young couples just adore their love and everyone knows their names: "Buck and Bucky" the old married couple

Gale will still keep animals, he may not be able to ride them much anymore but he likes to bring his chair out and just sit in the paddock and have the horses come up to him, John will sometimes join him and creakily sit on the ground, resting his head in Gale's lap

whatever you do don't think about them dying like the old couple in the notebook, holding each other and staying with each other even as they breathe their last breaths together 🥹🥹.

Vox is ahead of Alastor in terms of effective in-the-moment conflict resolution, but goddamn if he isn't fucked up in his own fun little ways. They're so not done with most of these issues, but at least they're on they're way to maybe be able to have a real conversation about them!

As a sucker for medical gore and aroace angst, I lack the words to express my love and appreciation for your most recent installment of 666, but your writing of radiostatic's dynamic was captivating and proved to be such a lovely read as always! I loved that you touched on Alastor's relationships with the women around him as that has always been such an interesting aspect of his character to me! I never really put much thought into how Vox's apparent avoidance of Alastor in the show could mirror Alastor's disappearance, and now it will Not leave my mind. My heart hurts for these two dorks, super looking forward to chapter 2!

"Medical gore and aroace angst" should be the title of my memoir. Honestly, this series has ended up a lot more edgy-bloody than I expected it to, since I usually tend to prefer to portray my whump/angst/violence/etc in a much more roundabout way, but it's actually kinda tipped over into, like... part of the point is how banal it is, how beside the point. The upsetting heavy-hitting bits aren't the blood, they're everything else that goes on around it. Anyway, thank you so much! <3 I think your heart will find some relief in chapter two, haha, I hope you enjoy!!

Meanwhile alastor, completely convinced that there’s no situation where vox actually loves him and is happy with the way things are—either vox wants more and is going to start asking for more, or he doesn’t actually love him and just wants to have sex with him and thus either way he is a Liar. They’re so fucking bad at this. No one is capable of being the adult here. I think they need an auspitice.

It's really funny that you said that, because that is kind of exactly the role that [spoiler] ends up playing, though in a more roundabout way, hahaha. They certainly need someone to, like, get them to be having the same conversation with each other instead of two parallel ones. I think the fun thing about writing Alastor reacting to his own feelings is just how much his reaction can change based on how things are framed for him, and it leaves a lot of wiggle room for how differently I've ended up writing him reacting to the season 1 finale in 666 vs in Happily Ever After, and Other Shit Nepotism Can't Buy.

But, god, you really nailed the description of what Alastor is feeling. <3

Literally nothing about how he read the situation was a bad take or a leap to conclusions, but alastor constantly says the opposite of what he means and refuses to admit vulnerability or friendship and what the hell else was vox meant to do with that, of course he backed off, they need to have this talk so badly

It's a result of how much of their communication has been nonverbal, implied, and talking around things - they'd been doing so well up until this point, but there's only so far that can take you before you start thinking that you're on the same page when really you're reading two completely different books! Some folks thought Alastor was trying to fit into the mold that he thought Vox wanted from him (how I intended it). All of them make sense as readings! >:)

You eagerly waited for Jungsu to pick up the phone, feeling the need to check up on him. After the small exchange you had over text, you had the feeling that he really needed to hear from you. As you listened to the phone ring, you started to go through your nighttime routine. Right as you finished putting on some comfier clothes, Jungsu answered the phone.

“Good morning, sunshine,” you sang into the phone, smiling to yourself. It was still rather early for Jungsu, so you thought you would try to lighten his mood with a joke.

He let out what could’ve been a laugh or a sigh on the other end of the phone, “Hi, baby.” The sad tone of his voice was hard to miss, and it caused you to frown.

“What’s wrong, bub?” Another sigh emits from the phone. “Long day ahead?”

Jungsu nodded on the other end of the phone as if you could see him. “I just… I wish you were here.”

“I know,” your frown grew. “But we only have a few more weeks until I can come see you again!” There was a silence on the other end of the phone, and you could’ve sworn you heard a sniffle. “Jungsu? What’s wrong?”

The sniffles grew a little more frequent. “I miss you,” he whispered quietly.

If your heart wasn’t already broken, you were currently feeling it shatter. Jungsu being upset was one thing, but him being this upset and knowing that there was nothing you could do to make him feel better was a completely different thing. You felt your bottom lip jut out slightly. “I know, bub- I miss you too! I miss you so much.”

On the other end of the phone, Jungsu sat in a ball on his mattress, wiping away the tears that had started to spill. He’s not sure what’s come over him lately. He could typically handle your long distance relationship just fine. He obviously missed you, but this time just seemed worse. He blamed it on the fact that you had come to visit while you had an extended break from work, and his brain still couldn’t wrap itself around the idea that you were gone. Jungsu had been counting the days until he got to see you again, and every day just seemed to feel longer and longer. He wasn’t even sure what to say anymore. He knew that whatever you told him over the phone wouldn’t be enough, and you knew the same thing. So, you decided to try and switch the topic to a happier one.

“Hey,” you tried to sound as happy as you could. You heard him respond with a soft ”hmm?”, followed by another sniffle. “When I come to visit again, can we go back to that park you took me to? The one with the cute little pond?”

At this, Jungsu smiled. When you first came to visit, he took you to all his favorite places. One of those places was a park that he typically had to walk past on his way back to the dorm from rehearsal. Sometimes, if he had a long day, he would take a walk around the park on his way home to clear his head. He sniffled again, “Yeah, baby. We can go back there. Of course.” You smiled at his slight change of tone. It was subtle, but you still picked up on it. “Y’know,” he continued, “there’s a really good boba place down the street from the park I think you would like.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Mhmm. It’s really cute. You also get a good view of the park from there. We should go.”

You chuckled lightly. “It’s a date. I’ll add it to my long, long list of things to do once we’re back together.”

“You have a list?” It was now his turn to chuckle.

“Yup!”

“What’s on it?”

“Going to the park, getting boba, bullying the guys into having a game night so we can team up on them again.” You both laughed together now.

“That was so funny!” Jungsu unraveled himself from his own tight grip, and wiped away the last of his tears. “Gunil and Hyeongjun were getting so mad.”

“Hey, it’s not our fault that we’re better at trivia.” You both continued to laugh before Jungsu checked the time. He let out a sigh.

“I need to start getting ready for rehearsal. We have a pretty busy schedule today, and if I don’t start getting ready now I’m gonna be late.”

You sighed as well. “Okay, then I guess I’ll let you go to work.” you complained in a joking tone. You heard him laugh again. “Are you feeling better?”

“Yeah,” he confirmed. “Thank you for calling me. I bet you’re tired.”

“Sleep can wait when it comes to you,” your voice was genuine, and Jungsu couldn’t fight back a smile.

“Go get ready for bed, I’ll talk to you in the morning.”

“Okay. If you need anything, text me. I’ll probably still be awake for a while.”

You couldn’t see, but Jungsu smiled and rolled his eyes at your bad sleeping habits. “Will do.”

“I love you,” you happily confessed over the phone.

“I love you too, baby,” he replied happily. “I’ll see you soon.”

Anyway, back to business. Another anon commissioned me to analyse the tether scene where the Darkling impersonates Mal and kisses Alina, so here I'm gonna analyse their winter fete make out. (Everybody in this fandom have such good taste and it's 🤌👌)

(random but, in the beginning, I thought you wanted me to analyze the scene where Alina and the Darkling talk after the former had her first audience with the Queen. And at the last minute I realized you mean their make out in that room. I'm stupid💀. If you mean the other, former scene tell me 😊)

I already feel this is gonna take two parts as well🥲 (I hope the people that follow this page don't mind me overanalyzing things)

I'm gonna start from here because this is the moment where the Darkling gives up his hundred of years well-thought-out plan and gives in to desire. After what happened to the lake and realized that his feelings for Alina have taken an unexpected romantic turn, he left. Vanished. Firstly, because he's the Darkling and he has duties to fulfill and secondly because he tried to ignore them, push them out by staying away from her. But, apparently, it was impossible for him and in that moment we see him giving in to his feelings.

From the way he abruptly takes her hand, pushes her fast through the crowd and makes them invisible so no one can see them or interrupt them we can see how much he wanted to do this and for how long. He's like: "Fuck it. I'm going to do it now 'cause I've held myself back a looong time".

I want to comment two things here.

1) I think he brought her to the Queen's sitting room because it was the first room available. The closest one and since he was in a hurry to get it on, it was the first room he thought of. And because he knew that no one else would be there or get there since everybody were too busy crying, laughing and partying *insert screaming remembering how they interrupted them afterwards*

2) He really didn't miss not even one second 😭The moment the door closed he let out his bottled desire. Seriously, for how many months he was holding himself back??😭

Well, my dear Alina, it was nothing like any kiss before because the man you have before you has had centuries of practice. Really his life has been full of this as the author has said.😌

And it's very interesting to notice that even before Alina wore Morozova's collar, she and the Darkling had already a deep connection. "Like calls to like" had already applied to them long before the stag was killed.

See what I mean?

Alina could feel his emotions even though no one else could. So there was already a type of bond, a connection that united them. Their powers and emotions were already entwined before even Alina got the amplifiers.😏

In case you want to know my opinion in this, I believe he's honest here. Morozova's herd was found after so many years of search and the Darkling is in a dark room making out with Alina. His priority, people😏😏

It's kind of interesting how honest he tries to be. In the beginning of their meeting he wasn't that much but here, I think, he wants to be truthful to her. He tries to open up a little. But still not completely. This is a moment of weakness for him. And he's torn between making her his and going after the stag. Between opening himself up to her and closing off. Add to this that Alina reunited with Mal and started a romance with him and we have the Darkling going feral and forcing Alina to wear the collar and control her powers without her permission.

Back in the tent scene we can see how this analysis is confirmed since the Darkling:

A) doesn't celebrate the fact that he found Morozova's stag after centuries of searching and took its antlers. Instead he sat sulking in a chair and drinking kvas silently.

B) he said to Alina "that was never my intention" when she accused him of making her his slave.

Conclusion: he wanted the both of them to go north together, kill the stag, Alina wearing the antlers happily and then, I think, he would reveal piece by piece his true plans to her.

1️⃣ Part one: I build all my builds myself. I have a certain idea in my mind, especially when it comes to builds. And since I usually never find what I need, I have to build it myself. 🫤But at least I’m lucky enough to enjoy building. I’s something I like to do.

Nevertheless, everyone who builds, knows how much time it takes. That’s why sometimes, I don’t build a completely new/whole build for for a particular scene in my story. I just build or place what I need for the shoot/scene. As for example:

A scene on the street with some shops & bars around my sims, like in that pic. It's not really functionial, just decoration. Or a simple wall with some windows, doors & deco on it. That's it! A nice backround.🤷‍♀️ Actually, that's not really building, I just place stuff around.

2️⃣ Part two: I only make story posts or post random stuff about my sims & builds. But I also plan to make gameplay posts again because it's honestly more.... fun and easier for me. Just like in Part One, I would build everything myself. And for every new Sim I play, I usually build a new house on a different lot and maybe even in another world.
