as my dashboard's foremost naddpod stan, do you have any episodes that stand out as your favorites/ones that affected you the most?

ok yes absolutely. so for bahumia the one that stands out to me the most is episode 70 i think it's like one of the best naddpod episodes. hardwon's reincarnation, bev telling erlin about terran, moonshine meeting lucanis. it's so good there's so many iconic scenes. also can't be bothered to figure out which episode this was but the fight with ezra the unkind is one of my fav bahumia moments i love when murph incorporates story stuff into battles. also i love the hell arc but specifically the personal battles in ep 81 like bev fighting bev sr and almost going with him and "a child has a duty to his father. a hero has a duty to the world" like ahhh and the flashback with bev and egwene as his dad performs that execution. bev is my favorite bahumia pc i think that impacts a lot of this lmao. ok but we all know eldermourne has my whole heart and i have a lot more favorite eldermourne episodes. episodes 4 and 8 are incredible i am always baffled by how good the beginning of eldermourne was like they went into that season straight away with so much emotion and story and good acting. all the flashbacks from the broken heart banshee episode are so good and also sadie's story makes me really sad i love her. and when they're telling each other about their backstories on the boat as they leave thornkirk <33. god i love the third mates. next i love love love the whole arc in sirenloch it is my favorite part of eldermourne hands down. i have relistened to all the zirk and stella moments from those like at least 5 times they make me go crazy, but the hank and hank jr stuff is also really good and all of that happening while the plot really starts to kick in. incredible. that's all like episodes 25-29, i really like 26 for the hank and his son scene and 29 for the scene where zirk leaves stella again. then i'm predictable and i fucking love the eldermourne finale. it's such a good finale like some people say eldermourne ended too soon or it should have been more developed but i feel like i was too invested in everything in eldermourne to be critical of it lmao. all of the fia/irina stuff is so good and painful, zirk's death and revival is such a good execution of his character arc and his themes like how he has this guilt around hurting people when he was younger and not helping them like he wanted to, and in the end he sacrifices himself to be able to help the world. and his work to find an all cure elixir and make up for his past mistakes is what lets him come back to life. god. sorry this post is really long but i have a lot to say about naddpod oops.

@ prev. anon: you are right, but we have a lot of sadness for the gv poc due to the amount of poor decisions made for them. zoya wasn't even a character of colour until kos and people still want to honour the half ravkan heritage that she has as an excuse to draw her or write her as white. alina wasn't a poc and she was announced as half shu for the sake of the show, a fact that is not canon but is accepted generally. but, it would have been better to have that stated in canon right? (1/2)

as for inej and jesper; inej is a great character. but her correct ethnicity is not specified and it seems like it is a mix of many cultures together (Romani, Arab and Indian) and that's just blatant disrespect because while these ethnicities and cultures have influences on each other, mixing them all up is just... not right. Jesper's heritage is barely even touched upon. Leoni does get an character arc but how much of it contains the due respect to Novyi Zem? very less. (2/2)

this is exactly it!! not only did leigh box together minority races and slap a new name on them, but she also thoroughly fucked over all her poc characters and is actively trying to make up for it now (too late) with the racial adjustments the show has brought as well as kos changing zoya's ethnicity when she was very clearly drawn white.

most of them have no culture, and the only ones who do are hardly considered their own race, just a "nomadic people" who's culture (which is already a melting pot of others) is actively mocked in the series, their beliefs belittled.

and that's aside from the fact that there are literally five canonically white countries and only two that are canonically non white. there is not balance in the books, and hardly any good rep.

I wish people would stop giving leigh so much credit where it is completely undeserved, as this type of representation is just bad.

23. do you keep a diary or journal? i used to! i had one of those “one line a day” journals and i wrote in it every day for five years, but i finished it last year and since then i haven’t journaled at all

as for people i dont know personally/ celebrities, i love julie andrews so much she has such a warmth to her that i really love and would love to emulate, i aspire to have meryl streep’s extreme talent, technical skill, and craft in acting, uhhh i look up to colin mochrie and ryan stiles and their work in comedy and specifically in Who’s Line Is It Anyway, their control and technique in comedy is commendable and incredible

tbh i love reading so much but i haven’t been reading Actual Books as much as I’d like to, but i recently read and finished all of maggie stiefvater’s the Raven Cycle series and it was AMAZING and would highly suggest! I’m also planning on rereading the six of crows series by leigh bardugo and reading to all the boys i’ve loved before by jenny han once i can get to the library! (and if anyone has book recs i’m always open! fantasy ya is my SHIT)

not really. i like to say im “culturally christian,” i grew up in a household that vaguely practiced christianity, as in we celebrated christmas and easter, but more in the “this is a time for celebration and to spread love and joy and spend time with loved ones” sense and less in the directly religious sense. I go to church maybe a few times a year, but usually only when my more religious grandparents request we come.

i define myself more as agnostic, I think there is something greater than us, but i don’t really agree/align with any given religion atm. this isn’t anything against people who Are religious, of course, it’s how i feel!

Hey AJ I just wanna say (kind of in rehards to the rude anon) that I'm super thankful for your blog. I am super annoyes about michael and cry. Not sad but annoyed and I'm glad your blog is a place to rant without having to listen to people preach about being happy that Michael is happy and "he's 21 he's gonna date like people his age do." Like okay yeah but that doesn't mean I have to like crystal... so thanks for creating a place where we can rant without being judged. ❤

Awww thank you Anon and you’re welcome! I’m happy that you and others think of me as a place to voice things and not be judged! I’ve definitely needed that myself in the past and even though I’m not into as much 5sos anymore, and am also not upset just annoyed about the whole thing, I’m totally happy to keep letting you guys come and rant when you need to! I agree that being a fan of Michael does not mean you have to be totally onboard with everything he does, fans of him and the music don’t have to like their girlfriends because they like him, Luke stans are allowed to dislike Arzaylea and so Michael stans should be given the same right!
