Thinking of Viltrumite Mark who was taken back to Viltrum from Earth shortly after his birth, then when he reaches a certain age he goes to earth by himself to learn about the half-earthling part of him

He miscalculates and crashes into your backyard, glancing up and seeing a human looking out their door with eyes as big as saucers like he was the weirdo when they're the one who were dressed like the first person who'd die in a fight. (He'd learn later that humans prefer loose clothes when they sleep)

You hear this guy shout in your backyard that he demands to know about 'earth' or he'll kill you, you let him in, explain as best as you could why he shouldn't fly around given earthlings are... defensive of their planet. Like any other planet. An alien would be classified as a threat, so it's best that he hides or lays low while he learns.

He takes it as an invite and he settles for staying with you, your home as his base, borrowing whatever clothes he can find from you until he gets his own, glaring and looming as he studies the surroundings of the planet while following you, like a scary dog you never signed up for.

At night, he asks if you know how insignificant your planet is compared to Viltrum, and you shoot back claiming if it's so insignificant, why did he seek it out? He can't answer because he knew he could've shrugged aside the half-earthling origin, but he didn't. And he stayed.

He's sort of glad he crash-landed in your backyard.

Being someone who read Under The Red Hood and came out with the firm belief that, for Jason, it's not about killing Joker, it's about Jason wanting proof Batman would choose him over the Joker (bc shelia chose the joker). Makes seeing any other media where it's all about just wanting the Joker dead is a teeny bit frustrating. to be honest

Jason could've killed the Joker himself, really, really easily. Jason kidnaps the Joker before the confrontation. I can't open my comic for a reference right now, but it felt like he had the Joker for quite a bit before the confrontation. He had him. He beat him up with a crowbar. He had every single opportunity to kill the Joker himself, but he didn't because that wasn't his goal. Make no mistake, he did plan for the Joker to be dead by the end of it, but do you see what im trying to say here

It's not about making Batman kill either. When Batman says he won't kill, Jason adjusts and goes, 'Let ME kill the Joker or kill me to stop me' instead. The test is all about Batman choosing him. The whole final confrontation is Jason's first death again. The parent, The Joker, and the explosives. It even ends with Jason unable to move as a bomb goes off right next to him again because the parent didn't choose Jason. And instead tried finding an option that'd benefit them and (consequencely) letting the Joker walk, again, lol, lmao <-in agony

if you asked caleb what his favorite season was, he'd answer “summer. i like it when it's warm and sunny out.”

and it's not exactly a lie — summer is his favorite season. the skies are clear, and freedom feels more attainable when he gazes at the blue sky above him. 

however, the real reason why he likes summer is because you like the season for him. you're prancing around, dragging him out and linking your arms with his, all while going, "caleb, caleb! look, it's us!" as you point at two matching apple phone charms from a street vendor. 

caleb likes how your smile gets brighter when the warm season comes around, when you beg him to help you bring out your summer clothes. the sundresses and shorts previously stashed away come out, and you always put on a small modeling show for him. gorgeous shades of yellows and oranges, flowy fabric, and sunhats, all complimenting your features, making you look like the very definition of beauty to caleb. you always look beautiful, but he especially adores the glow that comes with june's arrival.

he likes summer because he gets to see you at the beach, your sunkissed skin warm against his own. you fuss over him, applying sunscreen to his back while tracing constellations on his ever more defined freckles. the giggles when he swipes sunscreen over your nose and the little face you make when you kiss his cheek, only to taste sunscreen on your lips. caleb likes the picnics and the bouquets you make together while being caressed by a warm breeze, the scent of daisies and bougainvilleas overtaking his senses, but all he can think of is the image of you with the peony he tucked behind your ear.

but if caleb had to pick a single reason why his favorite season is summer, it's because you remind him that his existence is worth it. every june 13th, without fail, you're by his side. waking up early to make breakfast for him with your signature apple drink, bringing it over to him and kissing his lips earnestly with a soft and affectionate whisper of "happy birthday, caleb." he allows himself to be pampered by you, basking in your presence and the love you exude, your eyes focused on his. the quiet evening with sparklers in hand and a perpetual smile on your face, while you tell him all about the gift you handpicked for him, and it feels like the universe has stopped for the two of you.

when you cup his face between your hands and press kisses to every part of his face, all while listing off reasons why you love him, finishing it up with a "never leave me, caleb" — he wishes for summer to be eternal.

Paying a Price.

So you know those DPxDC AUs where Tim makes a deal with either Clockwork or Danny to carry Ellie? Or Tim is a reborn Danny whose carrying Ellie instead (love these btw) in order to get Bruce out of the time stream.

Well what about instead of just Ellie, it's both her and Danny.

Danny and Ellie who were badly hurt by the GIW that they both had to revert into their cores. They are saved by their friends/family and are taken to Frostbite. There they are monitored and looked after only until they can finally the reform but they run into a problem. The two can't return to their home dimension due to the GIW activity and they cant stay to long in the Infinite Realms cause they are still halfas. Then one day CW appears to speak with Frostbite over something important about the two.

Meanwhile in the DCverse.

Tim might have figured a way to save Bruce from the timestream. A being known as Clockwork might be able to help him if he manages to summon the powerful 'Ancient'.

However he knows summoning and requesting it's help he will have to pay a price.

If it means getting Bruce back he'll do it...

still i think the one of the more fun differences drawn between illario and lucanis that was lost would be illario's ability to endear himself to others but serious lack of empathy, vs. lucanis' (self perceived) inability to be charming but how much he cares. it's interesting that the game has gone with the "lucanis' ability vs illario's lack thereof" because i think illario being the dellamorte 'best in show dog' vs. lucanis' attack dog would have made me so unwell.

lucanis is... awkward. he's not unlikable, because he is usually very polite, but he doesn't speak much and only seems to care about the other dellamortes. he once sent viago de riva a knife with no note (who knows what he could have meant by this). he does what caterina asks of him, and by his own admission, cannot say no to her. he is a dramatic and prolific killer, and that makes how untouchable he is even worse.

and the crows like illario, sure, AND he's a good assassin! he's even a good crow! he's so good that he can make lucanis smile, and so he is the charming, sociable one. he's the one that stays in treviso and can be relied upon to care, illario's even the one people prefer over caterina and lucanis!

but illario is decoration. he's the prize poodle, and even if poodles were bred to be working dogs, nobody will ever pick him to protect the house over the german shepherd that regularly mauls intruders. anyways the analogy is getting away from me. the point i'm trying to make is that i want illario to have a different kind of jealousy/hatred that's not just over 'being bad at killing' but also an arrogant loathing for everyone around him that is getting harder to hide, because they've forgotten he can bite and is just itching to rip someone's jugular out. illario is very good at hiding his family resemblance to caterina, while lucanis suffers under his grandmother's, and his own, reputation.
