Paying a Price.
I want more Dad!Tim stuff. (And once again a deaged Danny and Ellie idea)
So let's go do that.
So you know those DPxDC AUs where Tim makes a deal with either Clockwork or Danny to carry Ellie? Or Tim is a reborn Danny whose carrying Ellie instead (love these btw) in order to get Bruce out of the time stream.
Well what about instead of just Ellie, it's both her and Danny.
Danny and Ellie who were badly hurt by the GIW that they both had to revert into their cores. They are saved by their friends/family and are taken to Frostbite. There they are monitored and looked after only until they can finally the reform but they run into a problem. The two can't return to their home dimension due to the GIW activity and they cant stay to long in the Infinite Realms cause they are still halfas. Then one day CW appears to speak with Frostbite over something important about the two.
Meanwhile in the DCverse.
Tim might have figured a way to save Bruce from the timestream. A being known as Clockwork might be able to help him if he manages to summon the powerful 'Ancient'.
However he knows summoning and requesting it's help he will have to pay a price.
If it means getting Bruce back he'll do it...

There's always people theorizing how the Batfamily hides Jason disappearance and reappearance, but I literally haven't seen anyone use the best explanation: Witness Protection.
Like this literally answers every question. The Death Certificate? They had to fake his death. The empty grave? Obviously it had to be believable. The time when Wayne Heir "Richie Wayne" refused to step foot in Gotham and talk to his father? He was pissed about Jason's (non) death. Brucie Wayne's very real depression after his death? Well he lost contact with his son and he was under immense stress from the government.
Like this literally answers every question I can come up with. Why has no one said he was in witness protection? And if people have done it, send me fics and prompts because I'm obsessed.
And the best part is, the Waynes are so stupidly rich that they could pull it off. Lex Luther could try and conduct his own investigation but somehow he can never find anything concrete. And if he gets too close either Babs hacks them or Tim just calls up Conner for a distraction.
One time Jason gets cornered and asked how he felt about returning to his life after being in Witness Protection. Unfortunately, him and Bruce weren't on the best terms to explain the whole story but he comes in clutch. He spins the tale about how heartbroken he was to see his brother, father and grandfather grieving and how honored he was when he learnt his new little brother idolized him. Tim got ahold of a copy of the interview and will never let Jason live it down.
The media doesn't ask Bruce questions about Jason's death because last time they did he broke down and a suddenly furious reporter chastised them and reminded them that while Jason may be alive Bruce still mourned his death. The picture of Bruce in tears at the interview is currently one of Jason's favourite lockscreens.
Same goes for Dick. Any questions of his brother's death results in (1) Richie Wayne ready to throw hands at any and everybody, (2) his wife (well one of them) Barbara Gordon threatening the reporters or (3) That same Metropolis reporter chastising the whole community again.

Stupid AU but absolute Batman and normal Batman swap places.
[So now you got Absolute Batman who is born in 2004, which makes him what, around the same age as Tim but younger then Dick and Jason.]
And while Tim is trying to figure out everything that makes their worlds different, he asks about the batcave.
Which confuses Bruce because his base is on top of an abandoned construction site.
So out of curiosity; Dick asks about the Batmobile. What's Batman without his batmobile.
Only to find out it’s a giant ass mining truck.
Now everyone’s confused, like why would Bruce pick equipment and places like that.
However, unlike them Jason has an Epiphany.
Something none of them would ever even consider for an alternative version of Batman/Bruce.
“You’re not rich?”
Jason asks in doubt laced in his voice.
And Bruce raised an eyebrow
“Am I supposed to be?”
The cave erupts in confusion, well I mean Steph just high fives this Bruce; stating something about being 'broke ass homies.'
Later on Alfred comes down with refreshments and food; and somehow that puts Bruce on edge. Damien watches his alternate father’s reaction, Immediately picking up on the unease.
“So, do you not have a Pennyworth?”
Damien asked.
Bruce doesn’t answer, nor does he drink or eat anything Alfred gives him, which disappoints the butler greatly.
“Of course he doesn’t, he’s not rich, you snobby little brat.”
Steph states, causing Damien to glare at her; and before a fight can break out between the pair; Jason asks another question.
“Sooo, was your inheritance stolen or somethin?"
Bruce's eyebrows furrow in confusion, as if he was asked the oddest question in the world.
“My dad was a school teacher, and my mum is a social worker?”
Tim’s eyes widen not at the jobs the Wayne's seemed to have in that world but at something else.
“You said your dad was; but your mum… is she still alive?”
He simply nods.
Oooo, I also imagine, the Justice League are working with the bats to swap the two Batman’s back, so finding out how or why they were swapped is crucial.
Eventually they do; a villain thought swapping their worlds Batman, with a younger inexperienced Batman, would make it easier to take over Gotham.
Oh, how wrong he was.
Absolute Batman arrives on the scene, pushing past Justice League members to get to this villain, and mind you his ass is not even supposed to be out, let alone seen.
Of course, when Batman asks him to reverse what he's done, the villain refuses like a snotty nose brat.
So, Batman takes a big ass stick from who knows where, for a brief moment Tim's excited, thinking this Batman was trained with a Bō-staff.
He quickly realised how wrong he was, when Batman shoves the stick onto the symbol on his chest, creating a big ass axe.
When he asks again telling the villain what he will do if he doesn't, the villain still refuses, without any hesitation, and before anyone could stop him, he cuts the guys arm off and begins to threaten to chop off the other one if he doesn't cooperate.
This impresses Jason and Wonder Woman but not really anyone else. And its not like any of the regular Justice League members could hold him back, he's taller and wider then superman.
Side note: Maybe regular Batman, is having a field day, not only is his mother alive, but younger then he ever remembered her to be. Oh, and Alfred is trying to kill him. And his counter part is broke but that's not the worse.
The fucking joker is rich and held in high regards.
(Fuck off Grammar Police.)

I’m new, I just read your fic about neglect reader. I haven’t read through your blog yet but I am so excited after reading this fic. I am an emotional wreck right now and my curiosity is eating me alive with this question “Does reader know about Jason? Will they ever met? Ever have a platonic relationship together? Will Jason be more of a brother to reader?”
I’m sorry I speed through the fic and tears are in my eyes I couldn’t think straight BUT I notice that Jason is hardly there so I’m curious. Please this is such a brain rot, it’s way past midnight after I read this cause I keep stopping to cry.
major (?) spoilers below.
reblogs and interactions are encouraged and appreciated.
hello anon !! im so happy ppl are getting more exposed to the content i have written so far. anyways, i can't believe i also got others to cry bec i did too when i was writing 😭
anyways, to answer ur question: yes! the reader will meet jason and he would actually be the first sibling you would meet after you have left the manor. the way he would turn yandere for you is a different approach to how the others would be because in the prequel, it has been stated that you had your fair share of encounters with him.
"will they ever have a platonic relationship with him/see him as a brother?" maybe, maybe not. because your meeting with him would all be a blur to you, and jason's obsession would stem from the trauma he had experienced, causing him to be more protective of you.
you're not in your best mindset and you're vulnerable walking through the streets of gotham and all alone? oh god, only a dumbass would do that— but once the red hood recognizes your face and the way you carry yourself so pitiably, he immediately tries to take you in his arms just as he should.
but the moment you push him away? tell him to fuck off despite your drunken state? the moment you cry and tell him you could deal with everything yourself without his help or anybody else's? you just remind him of himself and that triggers his first spiral into yandere-ism.
it's the way you share trauma, the way you both feel immense anger. he should've noticed sooner because you two would've been as close as peas in a pod. and yet he failed you by being a hypocrite. you were literally taken into the manor right after his death and discarded like you were mere trash. he should've taken you away when he had the opportunity to but he was too caught up in his feat of revenge.
yet the worst part was that he had taken notice of tim before he did you, and jason had momentarily hated you too because he thought bruce had replaced him. if he had looked through that veil of contempt that he had for you, and saw just how neglected and in need of attention you are, then he would've taken you under his wing.
but he didn't, and he had done the same thing to you as most did.
so take it as you will when i say you're more or less going to be closer (albeit unwillingly) to jason than anybody else because unlike his other siblings who are bound by their vigilante duties, your big brother jason wouldn't mind shooting any creeps who think they could touch his precious angel.
and he gets it, too, angel— you hate him, you hate them all and that's valid. but you can't just walk out in the streets alone and expect to be home in one piece; so leave it to him to scout your apartment alright? leave it to your big brother jason to intimidate the goons who try to stalk you when you're not looking. even if you don't want him near you, you'll always find warm food by your table and a note reminding you to take care of yourself more often.
it hurts when you rip the paper to shreds but it breaks his heart even more if you refuse to touch the meal he would leave for you, because that probably means you saw him as danger more than anything else. and he doesn't know it, but you're already planning to make a run for it now that you're under red hood's radar.
it's obvious that you have no experience when it comes to living by yourself, so please don't fucking push him away and let him protect you from any harm. your self destructive habits only causes him to become more protective of you and it only lets him stalk you more often to ensure nobody would touch his precious angel.
just like dick, you'll be treated more like a child than that of a young adult, but at least jason has the concept of personal space compared to your eldest brother. but still, jason wishes to hold you in his arms.
heaven forbid if the joker ever got his crummy fingers on you. jason would go berserk.
little does he know, little does your family know just how much they had lost the opportunity to keep you in wraps inside the manor.
they should've never let you out in the first place.

Where is the line?
In the comics, Tim Drake's moral code is an enigma to me, particularly his stance on the Batclan's no-kill rule. For all the fans who say he's always one step away from full blown villainy, there are even more saying he's a strict goody two-shoes who could never stoop that low.
Then there's the different takes on where Tim draws the line between these two extremes. Personally, I find that line hard to pinpoint. Digging for canon demonstrations of his morals has lead me to more questions than answers. My biggest question right now is:
What counts as breaking the no-kill rule in Tim's eyes?
Luckily, the Robins 2021 comics shed some light on this. In issue #3, "Tim", or rather an imposter of him, said that choosing not to save someone isn't the same as killing them, and that letting a villain die can be a way to get justice. Normally, this point would be moot since it's not Tim himself who said it. However, at the end of issue #6, the real Tim clarified that what the imposter said WAS his real opinion on the matter.

Not only that, but Tim has shown this belief through his thoughts and actions before. Twice.
The first time goes all the way back to Robin 1991 #5. During the fight against King Snake, Tim kicked him through a nearby window, fifty stories above the ground. As King Snake's life hung in the balance, Shiva appeared and commanded Tim to kill him.

Tim refused. He walked away, leaving King Snake entirely at Shiva's mercy.
What gets me is that Tim made no move to save King Snake from falling. And he made no effort to stop Shiva from committing the murder, either. His only thought as he heard the man's scream was "Fifty stories is a long way to fall."
The second time was in Red Robin 2009 #26. Tim orchestrated a whole plan to manipulate Captain Boomerang into getting killed by Mr. Freeze. The whole time, Tim blamed Captain Boomerang for making all those bad choices, despite Tim being the one raising the chances of them being made. Tim believed he was innocent because he wasn't directly participating.

Tim then stopped that plan, but not for any noble reason. He decided that he couldn't let anyone else kill Captain Boomerang but himself.

Tim couldn't bring himself to do that, either. So he had to spare his father's killer in the end.
This seems pretty cut and dry so far, right? Tim believing that letting villains die is alright as long he doesn't do the deed himself? I'd think so too, if there weren't other moments contradicting this.
In Robin #35, Steph insisted on leaving an enemy who got buried under the snow to die. Tim chastised her for it.

Neither of them were responsible for the snow, or for the enemy getting trapped in it. Plus, that guy tried to kill them with a chainsaw moments prior, so he's not exactly an innocent damsel in distress.
Maybe it was because this enemy wasn't a big enough fish to fry. We didn't really get confirmation that this guy has actually killed before, and he's around goon status at best.
But then in Robin #46, Tim chose to save another enemy who got himself into a deadly situation. That enemy was a murderer known as Young El. This time, Tim wasn't telling anyone else why they should save a murderer's life out loud. These were his private thoughts.

Notice how Tim's inner monologue sounded kind of on-the-fence. He contemplated justice finally catching up with Young El as the floorboards gave way, bringing a support beam down on him in the process.
However, Tim immediately switched gears to rescue Young El from under that beam before the water rose too high.

But Tim, as he told Young El the reasons he's saving him, asked himself "Do I even believe what I'm saying?" He could be asking this about two different things he said here. A) "Maybe it's not too late for you to learn something, Young El.", or B) "Death's easier for you when it's the other guy. Death's never been easy for me."
For Tim to doubt his belief in either of these statements is very interesting. He could be questioning if Young El is already too far gone for redemption, or he could be questioning if seeing someone die has never been easy for himself. For all we know, it could be both.
Unfortunately, Tim never got to see if his choice to save him would pay off. Tim wasn't strong enough to lift that beam, and Young El drowned.

There's a question on my mind as I read these pages. What makes this murderer's death different from when Tim let King Snake fall to his "death"? Sure, King Snake didn't actually die, but Tim didn't know that until later when the man came looking for revenge in Gotham.
Tim was once able to simply walk away from what he was certain would be a killer's demise. But then he's consumed by guilt over not being able to prevent a different killer's death down the line, to the point of hallucinating.

On top of that, what changed Tim's mind later? Red Robin #26 and Robins 2021 #3-6 still happened in the future. The only significant difference I can tell is that these two comics involved the killer's of Tim's parents, making it personal. But if the Imposter from Robins 2021 got his beliefs from his profile before his mother's killer got involved, then does that still hold up?
Maybe we should put a pin on it for now. There are other things Tim's done that brings the details of his no-kill rule into question.
Such as that one time Tim actually killed someone with his bare hands.

In Robin issues #51-52, Tim accidentally killed Lady Shiva while drugged on amarilla, a plant that enhances the user's speed beyond human limitations.
It may be argued if the amarilla altered Tim's mind enough to excuse him of fault or not. However, I want to focus on what happened after Shiva was revived. Here's another question to go with the first one:
Does Tim believe the kill still counts if the victim was revived afterwards?
From what I've gathered, yes and no. It's kind of complicated.
After Tim killed Shiva, he was understandably distressed about it, about how he can never take it back.

But after Shiva came back to life? Nothing. He didn't dwell on the fact he broke the vow to never kill. For something that devastating to happen in his life, it's odd that Tim didn't bring it up ever again, privately or otherwise. Especially considering what happened later in Robin #123, when Tim thought he killed Johnny Warlock.

Tim was utterly inconsolable. He lost all faith in his abilities as Robin, and in himself as a whole. It also contributed to his decision to quit being Robin after his dad found out. In general, he seriously dwelled on that "kill" for a much longer time than he had after killing Shiva. The difference being that he knew Shiva was resuscitated immediately afterwards, while Tim didn't know Johnny survived until issue #141.
But there's the fact that Shiva really did die. Her heart and breathing both stopped. So are we to believe Tim moved on from that so easily because she's alive now? What happened to never getting that back?
Come to think of it, not long after Tim killed and revived Shiva, there was someone else who landed in that same boat. Dick.

In Joker: The Last Laugh #6, Dick brutally attacked the Joker after believing he killed Tim. Dick ended up accidentally killing Joker instead, before the clown was resuscitated.
Here's the thing. While Tim was trying to comfort Dick, saying that it's ok because Joker's alive now, Dick didn't believe so. He was still distraught that he killed someone. The fact Joker came back to life afterwards didn't matter to him. To Dick, it still counted. So what does that say about Tim?
Before we move on, there's another person Tim knows who also died and came back from the grave. Jason.
Tim openly acknowledged Jason was killed before coming back, too. Multiple times. For example, when they met up in Red Hood and the Outlaws 2011 #8.

Tim hadn't shown any signs that he thinks Jason's murder doesn't count anywhere, except for maybe once.
In Knight Terrors: Robin #2, Tim and Jason had a heart-to-heart, and Tim said something strange.

"You survived."
Except Jason didn't survive. He died. To say Jason survived that night would've meant he never died to begin with. Him being alive now doesn't change that. Was this Tim telling a white lie to make Jason feel better? Or does Tim see being revived after death as "surviving"?
Ok, now we can move onto the next question. Or rather, bear with me as we go back to the first question. It's a broad topic with plenty more to talk about.
What does Tim count as breaking the no-kill rule?
We already asked how Tim feels about bringing villains back from the dead after killing them. And we asked how Tim feels about leaving a villain to die without getting directly involved. However, we still don't know how much involvement Tim needs to have in an enemy's death before he'll take responsibility for it.
We can confirm he won't mercy kill in Red Robin #21, even if it means giving someone a fate worse than death. No exceptions.
Tim also doesn't allow anyone he's actively teaming up with to kill, especially if he's the one in command. He's been amicable with known killers before (Huntress and Pru, for example), but only when they remain non-lethal while working alongside him.
Apart from that, though, it becomes less clear. However, I think this is a good place to expand on when Tim blew up a lot of League of Assassins bases in Red Robin #8.
I'm not going into whether or not those explosions actually killed anyone. I've seen evidence supporting both sides of this debate, so I'm just going to say it's up to interpretation. What I AM talking about is whether or not Tim would've felt responsible if they had killed someone.
Before overloading every generator in the LOA database, Tim gave a warning to the Wanderer. He told her that he couldn't be held responsible for what would happen to her if she didn't leave.

After initiating the explosions, Tim warned the White Ghost that they had fifteen seconds to leave before it was too late.

Fifteen seconds. That explanation on the mistake of letting him in might've taken roughly another fifteen to twenty seconds. Did the other bases even get a full minute head start? The way some of the people were already running away could imply they at least got a warning, but it's possible they might not have.

Even if everyone in every base received a warning, would that be enough for Tim to avoid holding himself accountable if they didn't make it out in time? Tim's the one who rigged the bases to explode, but I guess giving someone a warning means it's now their fault for not heeding it?
We can't be sure he even considered the possibility of those explosions killing anyone. Tim knew they were dangerous enough to bring the whole Cradle down, and the other ones we saw looked pretty powerful (except the ones in Ra's hideout). But Tim also called Ra's a murderer right after that happened, which would've been very hypocritical if Tim himself thought he committed murder.
So, my guess is either A) Tim relied on sheer luck for those explosions not causing any casualties and chose to believe they hadn't, or B) Tim didn't believe the deaths of anyone caught in them would be his fault.
Again, this isn't about whether or not blowing up the LOA bases killed anyone. It's about how willing Tim was to take that risk, and if he would've blamed himself for anyone getting killed from it.
Either way, it's canon that Tim had no guilt for the explosions he caused, or for anything he did before Red Robin #22. Just ask the Sword of Sin.
This is an exerpt I got from the Fandom DC Database on the Sword of Sin:
"The Sword of Sin can be ignited with the mind of the wielder, if the person is powerful enough. The sword has the ability to conjure in the mind its victims all of the sins for which they are guilty or have not atoned for."

When Tim was stabbed with this sword, he was immune. The Sword of Sin decided he was innocent. Although, I have to ask how reliable this sword was in making that judgement. If the sword is judging others based on its own set principles, then something's not right here.
The Sword of Sin was also used on Dick, and he wasn't immune. It dug into Dicks subconscious and unearthed memories he'd long since repressed. Memories of himself watching a boy get beaten to near death, and then doing nothing. He just walked away.

Now, tell me why the sword brought this to light, but not the time Tim left King Snake to die!
It wasn't an accident. Tim deliberately chose to leave instead of trying to save this man from the murderous Lady Shiva. Sure, Tim was no match for Shiva and he might've not been able to stop her, but the same could be said for an eight year old Dick not stopping a group of much older kids. Neither of them tried to stop the attackers.
Tim didn't atone for it, either. When King Snake returned in Batman #469, Bruce told King Snake that it wasn't Tim who left him to die. We know that's a lie, but Tim never corrected this. He let Shiva take all the blame.

We have two instances of a boy choosing not to prevent someone from having a near death experience. One guilty, and one innocent.
Did the Sword of Sin think Tim was justified because King Snake was corrupt? That doesn't sound holy to me.
Was it because Tim didn't feel any guilt over it, while Dick did? Can the sword's judgement be thrown off by the victim not feeling any shred of guilt over their actions, even subconsciously?
That could make sense given what we know Tim did in the past: King Snake falling, the vandalism (explosions), and ALL the lying over the years (Tim reviving Shiva might count as atonement, so I'm not including that). If the sword based its judgement on God's will alone, then odds are high it would've picked up on one of these.
Even so, I'm not going to sit here and say this is definitely the case. I'm not familiar enough with how the sword effects other characters to make that call.
If this is indeed false, then did the DC universe's version of God decide to pardon Tim of his sins when he prayed earlier that same issue, despite him not believing he had any? I mean, who knows, right?
You can probably see why there's more questions than answers. The point is Tim didn't have any guilt for the things he did before Red Robin #22. Tim was canonically convinced he had nothing to atone for.
So then why did he say the opposite later in Knight Terrors: Robin #2?!
In the heart-to-heart between Tim and Jason, Tim tells him this:

"You have a lot to atone for...We all do..."
Tim knows that the words "we all" include him, right? By saying this, Tim admitted to also having things he needs to atone for, right?
Is this another white lie to make Jason feel better? Is it one of those slight changes the New 52 made to the canon? If not, then why did he change his mind? Did his no-kill rule change and make him feel guilty for some past actions? Is it not the no-kill rule, but something else?
What changed?!
Where does Tim draw the line?
I don't know. We've narrowed it down to a general area, but it's kinda hard to see a line when it's so blurred it could be a gradient.
Tim baffles me. He acts as a steady moral compass for others when he can't even seem to stay consistent with his own. You're free to call it poor writing (and honestly, fair), but I find his hypocrisy fascinating.
That's what it is, isn't it? Tim's a hypocrite who's completely oblivious to being one. And it's not like this was never mentioned in the comics before. Damian called him out on it!
In Batman & Robin 2011 #10, Damian confronted Tim about his near-murderous reaction when Fist Point killed Artemis (Teen Titans Vol 4 annual #1). Damian then accused Tim of constantly rejecting him because they have more in common than Tim's willing to admit.
It's debatable how accurate that accusation was, but Tim had a pretty volatile reaction to it.

"I believe in every choice I make!"
Does he? I don't think someone who's so sure of what he believes in would contradict himself to this extent. Especially if he wasn't doing it on purpose.
He wouldn't vehemently push Bruce's no-kill rule onto others and berate them for bending that rule, only to go and bend that same rule himself when the Batclan isn't around. He also wouldn't exploit what he thinks are loopholes, decide later that those loopholes broke the no-kill rule, and then earnestly claim he never broke it.
Why is he like this?! He's had arguably the most normal childhood out of the whole Batclan before becoming Robin! What could've made him so fickle about this?!
Where does he draw the line? And how will he know when he's crossed it?
#batman#dc#robin#tim drake#red robin#theory#analysis#long post#tim drake is a menace#unhinged tim drake#To think all of this was written without mentioning Tim's corrupt future selves#or the numerous times he's actually contemplated or attempted murder#Believe me I would've loved to add 5-10 more screenshots of those moments alone#but I hit the 30 image limit :(#Anyway I want to study Tim in a lab#Feedback is welcome#I'm aware I hadn't read all the DC comics so I could've missed something

Tim isn’t the only queer person in the family, in fact he’s probably one of the last members to actually accept or even realise he wasn’t in the heteronormative category.
But he’s the most open about it.
After Janet died and Jack woke up, the man actually tried to do right by Tim and outwardly told him he was going to try be more understanding of his bisexual son. The two never became the father son duo Tim wanted, but he started to see Jack better, kind of like an uncle in a way.
It was enough for him to feel better making comments on male actors at movie nights, to joke about him being in the gay group of people who didn’t know a single thing about fashion and calling himself a stereotype breaker because of it.
Dick never wanted a label and Bruce was still in denial about his various male crushes, which was probably why Tim was in the situation he was in now.
Tim didn’t turn around to face Damian, if only because the younger had very purposefully sat directly behind him where he was sitting on the library floor.
He played over Damian’s question in his mind, “Why is it important to people that you Mary the opposite gender?” Because holy shit was that a big question.
Eventually Tim answered once Damian tensed in a tell tale way that he was about to run away, “Ignorance, mainly, but it’s all about what people are taught. It’s like how people believe in gods and supernatural things, it’s them hearing what others have said or not being able to understand something purely cause it doesn’t apply to them.”
A moment passes and the other doesn’t respond, so Tim adds a bit more.
“People struggle with change, especially when they are right something to be wrong or evil. Often they just get scared or feel threatened and just… don’t even try to learn. It’s okay to not know something, it’s when people refuse to learn that it’s bad.”
Tim thinks he feels Damian nod behind him but it’s hard to tell until the other lets out a tiny hum of affirmation.
When he doesn’t respond, Tim goes back to his tablet a little awkwardly and tries to figure out why his brother had asked such a question.
After around five minutes Damian finally speaks, his voice strangely timid, “If someone has… wrong opinions or has been taught something false, are they able to come back from it?”
That… wasn’t what Tim expected.
Did Damian know someone close to him that was being homophobic or had the League held hetero standards?
Knowing to tread carefully, Tim didn’t ask for confirmation on any of this lest he scare of his rather temperamental brother.
“Of course. Just look at my father, he was raised to hate people like me but his care for me made him try. He’s not the best at it, but he’s trying and that’s more than I ever expected. You can’t fix hate with love, you need understanding and sometimes you just need to offer the chance to try do so.”
Another lapse of silence, though this time shorter before Damian stood up. “Thank you, Drake.”
As the youngest Wayne left, Tim was left feeling both shock and pride at Damian saying a real, not forced ‘thank you’ after asking for help with something on his own.
Tim knew that Damian came to him because he was so loud about his acceptance of his own sexuality and his push for queer rights, but even months later he had no idea what pushed Damian to ask at all.
Either way he was happy to help his little brother.

The Waynes' Nanny
Batfamily and Reader/ Bruce Wayne x Reader Chapters Ao3
How To Lose a Nanny in 10 Days
Beyond the necessary responses and questions, you hadn’t spoken to Bruce since that night.
Every time he entered a room with you in it, a sudden, thick tension settled in. The children could sense it. Dick had gone as far as to ask Bruce what he had done. Unfortunately, Bruce didn’t have an answer for his son.
He had tried to catch you alone more than once: moments in the hallway, in the kitchen, even trying to catch you in the middle of your nightly walk back to your room. But every time, you would find a reason to be busy. You refused to speak to him. Alfred advised that he give you space and time, but Bruce would die first before he listened to any sensible advice.
It was the evening before the last day of school, and the kids had been restless all evening. They were too excited to sleep and too loud —more like stubborn— to be reasoned with. They bounced off the walls as they talked about trips to Disney World, beach trips, and elaborate summer sleepovers with the Kents. All of them courtesy of Mr. Wayne’s bottomless wallet.
Luckily, you took it in stride. Just as you had been since that night two weeks ago. You kept pace easily, calm and steady, answering questions and managing the chaos like you had done it all your life. You seemed untouchable by anything thrown your way now.
You had managed to get the kids to their room and in their beds by ten, settling them down with the promise of McDonald’s for dinner tomorrow night. Bruce didn’t like his kids eating junk food, but with one soft look from you, he found himself caving.
Before you went to bed, you usually went down to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and to put away any toys that might have been left out. Bruce, growing impatient, climbed the stairs in search of you.
“...now it looks as though they’re here to stay. Oh, I believe in yesterday...” You sang out of tune and off-key, but the softness made up for the lack of talent. Peering into Tim’s room, who lay asleep on his stomach as you rubbed small circles onto his back, Bruce saw how tired you were.
The mask you had had on since that night had finally fallen a little. Your eyes were downcast with grief and disappointment, a small frown tugging at your lips. In a whisper, he said your name. You jumped every so slightly, eyes snapping up to meet his before you whipped around to make sure you hadn’t woken Tim. The boy was still dead to the world, having not moved an inch.
“Sorry,” Bruce mumbled, inching into the room. “Can we talk downstairs?”
You pressed your lips into a thin line, clearly trying to think of any kind of excuse. Fortunately for him, you couldn’t find one. Standing up, you spared Tim one last glance before nodding. “Sure.”
Bruce tried to say thank you, but you only pushed past him. By the time the two of you reached the kitchen, you were back to acting like nothing could touch you. He sat at the island in the middle of the kitchen, watching you pour yourself a glass of water dispenser on the fridge.
“Didn’t you want to talk?” You asked, putting distance between you and him by leaning against the opposite counter.
Bruce nodded. All of a sudden, his throat felt dry, and no words could come to mind. Having not felt this way before, he was confused, only managing to push through it by looking away from you. Maybe, he thought, it was the fear of losing you to him making yet another mistake. If he lost you, the kids would hate him. You were practically an angel in their eyes, making up for everything he lacked as a parent.
“I wanted to apologize…”
You scoffed and rolled your eyes. “I told you not to say that.”
“But I am sorry,” He countered.
You shook your head. The words came out of your mouth quickly, like a panic attack was bubbling just from the mere mention of that night. “No. No, you’re not. Or else you would have told me before the date. You wouldn’t have let me get humiliated!”
“I didn’t know until the date was happening,” Bruce insisted, rising from his seat. “You have to believe me, Nan.”
“You don’t get to fucking call me that!” You yelled unexpectedly. After a beat, where you had visibility calmed down, you continued, “Fine, so you didn’t know. What was the point of acting all drunk?”
Now, that was a good question that Bruce had to think carefully about. “I have a reputation to uphold…it’s a bit more complicated than that. I can’t explain it all now.” His playboy personality, one full of all action and no thought, was his best alibi. He should have risked it for your sake.
“Nice to know your reputation is worth more than my dignity,” you snapped, arms crossing tightly over your chest as Bruce stepped around the counter. “Real stand up guy you are!”
“That isn’t it. I promise,” Bruce said quietly. “I wouldn’t have let him do that to you.”
“God, you’re insufferable,” you seethed, stepping toward him. Your voice cracked, eyes stinging. The dam you’d kept together for two weeks started to fracture under the weight of his presence.
“I know,” Bruce whispered, looking down at you.
You shoved him. He didn’t budge. So you did it again. And again. Until, finally, he caught your wrists and pulled you into him, arms wrapping around you before you could even register it. You struggled, but only for a second. Then came the sobs, muffled by his shoulder. You inhaled the scent of aftershave and cologne. The smell was soft, clean, and familiar. The kind of scent that made you feel safe, even when you didn’t want to.
You wept. Cursed him. Called him everything but his name.
When your anger emptied and your breath evened, he spoke again, voice low and steady. “I’m sorry you were treated that way. You didn’t deserve it. No one deserves to be treated like…”
“Trash. He treated me like trash, Bruce,” You mumbled into his shoulder. “He never intended to be serious.”
“Harvey’s…Harvey’s a character,” Bruce mumbled.
After a second, you laughed unexpectedly. That was the least he was, but Mr. Wayne had picked the perfect words. Bruce laughed, too, a small huff of breath that almost made your chest ache.
When the moment settled again, he asked, “Can you forgive me?”
“Only because I love the kids,” You said gently.
“I can make do with that. I promise it won’t happen again. You’re important here. And I should’ve looked out for you.”
Your gaze lingered on him. In the soft, dim light of the kitchen, he looked gentler, somehow. The warm glow caught on the sharp line of his cheekbone, the slope of his nose, the steady intensity in his eyes. And then, your eyes dropped to his soft, inviting lips. One of his hands had settled on your hip, thumb brushing against the fabric of your shirt. He squeezed gently. Just enough to send a shiver down your spine.
You leaned in. So did he.
But then he paused, so close you could feel his breath against your lips. “You…you should get to bed. It’s late," he whispered.
Bruce backed up quickly before turning on his heel, getting out of the kitchen like it was on fire. You stood there, flushed, heart pounding. Then, you quietly grabbed your forgotten glass of water.
It was just the heightened emotions, you told yourselves.
Nothing more.

Rewriten! Masterlist!

It was late at night and everyone from Tim’s crew was asleep in they assignated rooms, well except Tim of course
He was sitting down outside of his ship watching the waves, it was a calm night. It was too calm. The moonlight was reflecting on the water making a beautiful scene.
Tim had been dreaming with you since he stepped onto the boat. You were gorgeous, every night you appeared in his dreams, Oh how he wished you were real.
Suddenly he saw a head come up from the ocean
He looked like- "[name]?"
The girl from his dreams? He's been dreaming about you for a whole year now and now you were there. A few meters infront of him? How!
You had been watching Tim ever since he sailed onto the ocean. The perfect prey.
After manipulating his dreams for a year you it was time to make the last act.
“Hello Tim” you say as you sit down on a rock not too far from his boat.
He didn’t answer hmm well should you tell a joke to lighten the mood?
“Did the shark eat your toungue?” Wow great joke [name] you really should be a comedian! Mm why didn’t he laugh? Dumb humans with their weird humor.
_________________________________________________
Tim could be anything. But he was not stupid. He knew you were a siren, he didn’t know when he was dreaming since you always appeared human and he was not thinking straight when dreaming. But now you were here imfront of him swimmimg on the sea looking perfect it didn’t take a genius to know you were a siren.
Exactly what he came to the sea looking for.
Bruce had given him the mission to capture a Siren and bring it back to the batcave so he could do research on them (Wow Bruce crazy scientist au?)
Anyways now it has been a year and Tim refused to go back to Gotham without his mission being succesful.
And it seems his wait had been worth it.
_________________________________________________
“Tiiiiimmm-“ you splash water to his face trying to get him to react. Did he fall asleep with his eyes open?
“Sorry [name]- Yes?” Tim had to convince the creature to come onto the ship by any means!
“How about you jump to the water and i can show you around the Atlantis!?” Just the way i did in your dream!” Say yes say yes.-
“Jump-?” Of course Tim wouldn’t jump! Jumping was basically a death sentence!
“I’d happily jump! But… i’d be suffering trying to stay afloat [name] i’m a really bad swimmer i mean it!”
Yeah right a bad swimmer does this idiot think im stupid? Why would he come onto the ocean without knowing how to swim?!
“I could teach you how to swim! We have the whole ocean for ourselves! I would take the suffering from you!” I shouldn’t be begging for him to jump! He should be begging me to let him live!
“I would love for you to teach me [name] but i’m to shy to jump from here!”
________________________________________________
Next step ask the siren to come onto the boat.
_________________________________________________
“You know what? I’ll jump if you answer one or two questions!” Oh? This is getting interesting!
“Ask me anything!” Maybe i should answer honestly since he is gonna die either way.
“Where do you live?”
…
“In Atlanits silly! I told you before in your dreams! Now jump-“ “No. Where.”
“I told you in Atlantis-!” “Tell me the exact location.”
Oh so he’s got an attitude now? Ha rude.
“I’ll show you the way myself! Just jump and i’ll take you there!”
“How about you come onto the boat and draw me the location of the map [name]? And then i’ll jump with you to the water.
He was really stubborn. Well i guess there’s no other way.
“Fine i’ll do itttt! Just cause i really wanna teach you how to swim!” You say as you make the water raise you up so you stand up at the edge of the boat.
‘Stupid Siren.’
“Draw the location in the map.” He said as he shoved the map onto your face
Why was he so rude? You’re a transformed into a human like him…- wait a minute.
Can humans breathe underwater?
“Holy shit.” You say under your breathe as realization hits you like a truck.
‘Humans can’t breathe underwater! And you just told him you lived in Atlantis!-
“Well Timmy it’s been great meeting you in person but i gotta go. You knoww haha-“ suddenly one of your legs gets tied up as you take a step back.
You fell into his trap.
Now you were upside down hanging by a stupid rope
Well now you were totally powerless.
He takes a step forward towards you.
“Well you have made the mistake of stepping into this boat. My territory little mermaid it’s time to take you home where you belong” He says with a evil smirk as he grabs his phone and dials a number.
“Hello Bruce? Mission completed. I’ll see you soon.”

Tim was curious. Maybe a little addicted to whatever the hell was in that coffee, he's still standing by the point that no other coffee will ever be enough, but that's not the point.
He wants answers. The Justice League want answers. No one has been able to get them. Because Phantom stays in the House of Mysteries, no one but the JLD can actually get time him. The Supers have tried listening out for him, but magic is something they're weak against and therefore can't hear through. Batman has tried to get into the House, but he's been sent everywhere else for his attempts. They would track him down as a civilian, but no one actually knows if he has a civilian disguise. It's very hard to hide hair that starkly white and skin pale enough to be blue.
Regardless, everyone wanted answers and Tim was determined to be the one to get them. Why does Phantom claim to be thirty-eight, fourteen, and eighteen all at the same time? Where did he come from? When did he die? How did he die? What the hell is in his coffee because damn was it good!
Off topic.
Tim had the rest of the Titans return to the tower while he stayed out. It'd be easier to track if he was the only one doing it. Besides, these guys work with Raven, they won't hurt him. Probably.
The fact that Phantom apparently smelled like death was another concern Tim had. Was it because he was dead? And what did Constantine mean that 'the smell lingers'?
More questions kept popping up like goddamn daisies, and there was no answers to clip them down. Tim was getting frustrated, to say the least.
***
Danny made an effort to at least try and help Constantine with the demon problem the building was having. Honestly, it wasn't even that bad, in Danny's humble opinion. The demon was just messing with people, not hurting anyone or stealing anything! He was, at most, planting minor inconveniences everywhere.
That's not technically his monkey, though, and it was most definitely not his circus. He figured he'd offer to be helpful, though, if only so that Constantine would owe him a favor. A favor he already knows how he's going to cash in.
"Why'd you really want to tag along?" Constantine asked Danny while they searched for the demon.
"What do you mean? You offered to bring me along."
"Yeah, but that's because you need to get out of the House more."
"Funny, coming from you."
"I spend more time outside of the House than I do inside." the Brit scoffed, "Now tell me why you agreed to come along. This is demon hunting. You only ever go ghost hunting."
Danny sighed and ran his left hand through his hair. Not that he could feel it, stupid nerve damage. "Deadman's been on my ass about my first trip to Gotham. I would've left to go find some place to crash, but the entire Justice League is also on my ass for some reason! I'd honestly rather not have to face any of them."
"You've been to Gotham?" Constantine asked, "When?"
Danny groaned, "Not you, too!"
"Whoa, okay, okay. You don't need to share with the class."
"Sorry."
"You better be."
"Hey!"
"Now tell my why the JL proper are after you?"
A sigh. "You remember at that meeting when Red Robin mistook my drink for his?"
"Yeah. Hard to forget. You freaked everyone out a little bit."
"Yeah. Turns out they all have questions that I don't want to answer. Avoiding them all has been the best way to not answer."
"You know you can't dodge them all forever."
"I know, but I really don't want to have to explain anything!" he whined, "The questions that they'll end up asking are gonna be really painful to answer."
A raised eyebrow. "How do you know what they'll ask?"
"Because everyone always asks the same things. Worded differently, but still that same."
"Then refuse to answer."
Danny met Constantine's eyes with a deadpan glare. "You're gonna look me in the eye and tell me that the Justice League and their sidekicks will leave me alone if I tell them 'no'?" He shook his head. "Lying's a bad habit, old man."
Constantine rolled his eyes as he went for his lighter, remembering they were were in a no smoke zone and retracting his hand. "Don't sass me, brat. Wonder Woman and Superman, at the very least, would back off. They'd get everyone else to, too."
"What about Batman and his brood?"
"Touche." the man said, "But you can't hide from them forever."
"I can try,"
"But you'll fail."
Another groan. "Can we just get this thing over with? I want to lock myself in the basement and wallow."

Big Decisions
Requested Here!
Pairing: Dick Grayson x fem!reader
Summary: Dick makes an offer you can't refuse, but there's something he's forgetting as he makes big decisions with you: that you aren't the only ones affected by your choices. Or, how Dick forgot about your cat and his dog living together when he asked you to move in.
Warnings: fluff, banter, Dick gets jealous of your cat a lot
Word Count: 1.0k+ words
Masterlist | DC/Dick Grayson Masterlist | Request Info
A/N: As always, the characterization is up to you but I can't resist Brenton Thwaites' smile.
“Haley!” you exclaim, dropping your bag to pull her into your arms. “I missed you so much.”
“Just Haley?”
You smile as Dick moves to your side with his eyes locked on yours. His hand raises to rub your back as you rub Haley’s ears.
“I haven’t seen Tim in a while either,” you tease.
Dick shakes his head before he dips his chin and kisses you. You turn toward him, holding an incredibly content and comfortable Haley between your chests.
“I saw you yesterday,” you whisper as you pull back. “But, yeah, I missed you, too.”
“Speaking of which,” Dick begins.
“Oh, no,” you murmur, wrapping your arms tighter around Haley.
“Stop,” Dick demands with a laugh. “I just assaulted you before you were three steps in, clearly it’s not bad news.”
“Okay,” you reply.
You kick your bag away from the door and set Haley in her bed. Dick takes your hand to lead you to the couch, and you fold your legs beneath you to face him.
“Last night, we were at your place. Most nights, we’re here. You know Haley, I know your cat-”
“Supes,” you interject.
“He can still be renamed,” Dick points out, raising his free hand toward you. “You like my family – for some unknown reason – and I’ve met your folks. We work.”
“We do.”
“My point is, the back and forth is tiring. We’ve been dating for a while.”
You bat your eyelashes and tip your head to the side, acting as if you don’t know what your boyfriend is getting at.
“Yeah, and we’re happy,” you add softly.
“You know what I’m saying,” Dick replies, rubbing his thumb over your knuckles.
Shaking your head gently, you lean closer to Dick.
“Seriously?” he questions. “C’mon.”
“What are you saying?”
Dick opens his mouth again, but nothing comes out. Your smile reappears as you laugh and move your hand to his chest.
“Are you asking me to move in?” you clarify.
“I thought it was obvious!” he counters.
“It was, it was. Although, there’s one thing you didn’t think of.”
Now, Dick’s the one to be confused, only it isn’t an act.
“You’ve met Supes,” you say. “And, no, I’m not renaming him Nightwing. I’ve met Haley. We love the pets, yes, but the pets may not love each other.”
“Oh,” Dick sighs. “Then we should introduce them.”
“You sure?”
“Absolutely. I love you, and I’m sick of letting you leave for stupid reasons.”
“Getting clothes is a stupid reason?” you argue before immediately adding, “Don’t answer that.”
“Dress Supes up in his Nightwing sweater and we’ll make a night of it,” Dick suggests.
“He has the S emblem in his fur, covering it up won’t change that.”
“Haley might not like it,” Dick says, shrugging.
“Really? Last I heard, she likes your uncle Superman.”
“Stop talking to Tim.”
You laugh and twist to lean against Dick’s side. With his arm around your shoulders, you kiss his jaw.
“Let’s do it. We’ll introduce them and see how it goes.”
“So, you’re saying yes?”
“I’m saying, let’s see what these two think about it before we make any big decisions.”
Dick nods, but he sighs and murmurs, “Being a single parent is hard.”
“Like father like son,” you muse.
“Take that back right now,” Dick demands, moving his hands toward your waist.
You set the cat carrier down to unlock Dick’s apartment door with the key he gave you, but before you get the key in the lock, the door opens. Dick has Haley in his arms, and when she sees you, her tail begins wagging against his side. Then, she notices the carrier beside your feet and wiggles, attempting to get down to see it.
“Come on in,” Dick invites, opening the door wider for you.
You carry Supes inside, then kneel beside the carrier as you wait for Dick to lock the door. He walks to your side and lowers, still holding Haley.
“She’s not barking,” he says. “That’s good, right?”
“She’s the most loving dog in the world,” you point out. “I didn’t think she’d be the problem.”
“It’s because you named him-“
“Set Haley down,” you interrupt, failing to hide your smile. “If they’re okay through the carrier, I’ll let him out.”
Dick nods, sets Haley on the floor, and clutches your hand tightly. Haley sniffs the carrier door, then yips joyfully as she runs around it. Supes moves into the back corner of the plastic crate, and Haley drags her nose along the outside to find him. Dropping onto her stomach, she waits with her tail wagging wildly.
“Here goes nothing,” you murmur as you unlock the door and pull Supes to your chest.
Haley sits up, waiting with her nose tilted toward your cat. Supes looks at her, then jumps out of your arms onto the floor. Haley remains still – besides her wagging tail – as Supes sniffs her. Suddenly, she boops her nose against his, and he drops his head to rub against her side.
You watch with wide eyes as Haley stands and trots toward the hallway, and Supes follows her.
“Is she…” you begin.
“Giving him a tour?” Dick finishes. “I think so.”
You lay your head on Dick’s shoulder and watch.
“They get along really well,” you say. “I’m glad.”
“You still need to rename him,” he complains, wrapping an arm around your waist.
“I’m about to live with you, Dick, stop being jealous of my cat,” you insist.
Haley and Supes return from the hallway, and Haley leads him onto her bed, where they snuggle up together and let their eyes close.
“Looks like you’re moving in,” Dick says as he lithely moves to his feet.
You accept his hand and are unsurprised when he pulls you up and against his chest in one fluid movement. Raising your hands to his chest, you kiss Dick. Your lives have been intertwined for months, but being close to Dick all the time sounds perfect, and if Haley and Supes can make it work so quickly, you have no doubt you can too.

Oh Sister of Mine - Chapter 3
A Match
A trip to Arkham raises some questions. Questions you still refuse to answer. And questions revolving a father of two kids he’s broken.
Warnings: None really, this chapter is rather tame
Word Count: 2.2k

Bruce hated going to Arkham. Whether it was because he was staring at faces that stared back in anger and disdain that could rival the angriest of monsters or not, he's not sure.
But he has to be here. He puts his priorities into finding out who you are.
“You have any ideas?” Dick asked, his arms crossed as he leaned against the wall, staring at Bruce.
“None.” Bruce answered.
A knock sounded on the door.
“You guys ready for ‘im?” A guard asked when having peeked into the room.
“Yes, we are.” Bruce answered.
“Alright, c'mon,” the guard spoke, roughly pulling Kerrim into the room. His originally slicked back brown hair now messy.
“Hey, hey, easy!” Kerrim announced when he was pushed toward the chair.
“Hurry up!” The guard yelled at him before leaving to let Bruce, dressed as Batman, and Dick, dressed as Nightwing, ask their questions.
“Well, well, the big Batsy's got some questions for me, huh?” Kerrim grinned, looking up at the vigilante who kept a straight face.
“The kid, where did they come from.” Bruce, or Batman asked.
“Did you kidnap them?” Nightwing spoke up. “Pick em’ up off the streets?”
“I don't see how it's your problem,” Kerrim smirked, leaning back in his chair. “Just some worthless kid.” He shrugged.
“Hey, watch it.” Nightwing said, gaze narrowing on him. “They're a kid. They deserve better.”
“They have better!” Kerrim announced, an arrogant smirk still on his face as he spoke. “You know how useful the skill to kill is?”
“Who are they?” Nightwing asked, walking up to the table and looking down at the cocky man.
“Hell if I know,” Kerrim cockily shrugged again with a soft breathy laugh.
“What do you mean?” Nightwing asked, his brows furrowing.
“I mean, I got no clue about that freak.” Kerrim spoke in a condescendingly slow way, making sure Nightwing understood.
Batman was done. He stepped forward, grabbing hold of the collar of the arkham inmate prisoner uniform. His grip terrifying Kerrim. Batman hoisted the man out of his chair.
Kerrim's eyes widened, and his heart rate picked up. “Hey, hey, what the hell!” Kerrim yelled.
“Tell us everything.” Batman told him firmly.
“O-Okay, Okay!” Kerrim yelled. “I'll tell you, fuck, just let me go!!”
Batman listened, dropping Kerrim roughly back into his seat. His breaths were labored as he stared at the vigilantes with wide eyes.
“Get talking.” Nightwing told him, almost warning with an almost amused smirk on his face.
“A-Alright. Okay!” Kerrim rushed out. “I don't know the damn kid, okay!? They're not my deal! I like… Borrowed the freak from some guy!”
“You're withholding information.” Batman saw through him.
“I'm, I'm not!” Kerrim had hesitated in fear. “Okay, fine!” He screamed. He couldn’t take the threatening gazes from both of the men interrogating him. “The guy was named like.. Something Cain! I don’t know the ass! I never saw his face!” Batman and Nightwing exchanged glances. “He said that weirdo kid was the best he had, that they wouldn’t mess up or whatever. Guess he was wrong..” Kerrim slouched, looking away from the two as he grumbled.
“What? You mean David Cain?” Tim’s voice came through the other end of the phone Dick held, “You gotta be kidding.”
“I’m not,” Dick spoke back into his phone. “He didn’t say the first name, probably deemed it not important. But how many people other than Cass and his asshole of a father do you know witht the last name Cain?”
It was silent for a moment. “I can look through the database when I get back.”
“Don’t bother.” Dick told him. “I have a feeling Bruce has a plan.” Dick looked Bruce who was staring at the Batcomputer. More specifically, he was staring at the screen no one had closed since last night. A picture of you and a picture of Cassandra side by side. The words ‘Closest Match’ still on the screen.
“Alfred is watching the kid right now,” Tim told him, “Damian said if he’s not busy he might watch them next, and I offered to if he can’t.”
“Where’s Cassandra?” Dick asked.
“She’s hanging out with Barbara and Steph,” Tim told him through the phone. “They thought she could do with some distraction from last night and everything, she’s been really spacey since the kid passed out again.”
“Alright, thanks,” Dick said before exchanging goodbyes with Tim and ending the call. He put his phone down, soon looking at Bruce. “So?” He asked, “What do you have cooking in that dark head of yours?”
Bruce glanced over his shoulder at his oldest adopted son, the cave becoming quiet before he finally spoke, “We need to run another dna test.”
You woke up differently than you had before. The pain before was mostly gone. Your arm was sore, however. It happened a lot.
The use of your electricity strains your muscles and causes them to be sore. The more you use the electricity the more your body will hurt awhile after.
“Mhh..” You groaned softly, peeling your eyes open. You blinked for a moment, adjusting your gaze before looking up. You tried to sit up, but it hurt.
“No, don’t sit up.” A familiar voice spoke from beside you. Your gaze whipped over, to see the boy you had been attacking before passing out again. He was sat comfortably in a cushioned chair that had obviously been moved closer to the bed you lay in to sit closer. He held a book in his hands, one he was now putting a bookmark in. Your body tensed, which he noticed. He also noticed how your guard raised. “Calm down, I won’t do anything.” His voice didn’t lack in the stubborn attitude it was so used to. His voice almost carried a lilt of concern.
You didn’t know why, but his words were somewhat comforting. You hated how the result of his speech was your shoulders somewhat relaxing. Sure, they were still somewhat tense, but they were a bit more relaxed now.
“How is your head?” He asked as he placed the book he had been reading on the bedside table. You watched his hand carefully. Your gaze however, flickered to the glass of water, bottle of pills, and a tray of those little sandwiches Alfred had made for you earlier. Your gaze turned back to Damian. “Your head?” He asked again, pointing at his own head, “How is your head?” His voice was surprisingly not condescending, though he did speak a bit slower this time, making sure you would catch his words.
“Fine..” Damian’s eyes widened just a bit. Your voice. It was hoarse but it was softer than the other times he’d heard your short and brief responses. It hit him now, you were just a little kid. Sure, you two were quite obviously close in age. He’d gotten better; he was in a better place now. But you? You were still in that hellish hole, he could tell.
“Here..” His voice was softer as he grabbed the glass of water, slowly moving it towards you, trying not to startle or trigger your aggression. You flinched quite quickly, curling your body into a bit of a tight ball. But when nothing happened, your gaze would shift between Damian and his hand that held the glass. “It’s just water.”
It took a moment. One of a tense silence. But after a little while, you hesitantly and cautiously raised your sore arms. Your hands were shaky as you went to slowly the glass from he. He waited until you had a firm grip on the glass before he let it go.
You slowly brought the cup to your lips, making sure to at least keep Damian in your peripheral. You hesitantly sipped from it. It was soothing on your sore and haorse throat. Soon, you were practically chugging it. Damian watched. You two sat in silence for a little while after you had finished the water.
“These are for you,” He said, moving the tray of little sandwiches onto the bed, “Alfred made them.”
You looked to the sandwiches, then to him, and your gaze flickered between the two a few times before you put the glass down and moved your hand towards the sandwiches. You didn’t know why you felt more comfortable around Damian, but there was something about it that made you feel like you didn’t need to have your guard up. Of course, you still did, but there wasn’t as much reinforcement on the guard like there usually is.
Damian took the glass off of the bed as you chomped down on the little sandwich. He placed the glass on the bedside table once more.
“Hey,” You looked at him. Your gaze wasn’t particularly kind. “You’re safe now.” He told you. You stayed quiet. He couldn’t read your gaze. But, he had a pretty good idea of what you might have going on in your head. He had a pretty good idea that you had no idea what that meant.
You tensed when a knock sounded on the door of the room. Damian looked to the door, giving you a glance. He looked at you, giving you a reassuring gaze that you would be alright. Even if you didn’t pick up on it or understand what it even was.
Damian stood from the cushioned chair he was sitting in, he moved towards the door; you watched him carefully.
“What?” He asked once he had opened the door. No remnant of any reassuring or soft look on his face like he’d been giving to you.
“Hey,” Dick greeted quietly, peeking in to see your tense figure on the bed. He caught your threatening gaze. A soft sigh came from him, and a soft look of empathy took over his face. “Bruce want’s to run another dna test, do you have anything we can use?” He looked back to Damian.
Damian turned to look in your direction, looking for anything that might be of use. His gaze zeroed in on the glass that now had your fingerprints and saliva on it. He didn’t say anything as he started coming towards you. Your body tensed more. You looked behind him. Dick was beginning to step into the room.
“No!” You yelled, catching both Damian and Dick off guard.
Damian followed your gaze, looking behind himself to see Dick with one foot through the door. “Stay where you are,” He told him.
“Okay,” Dick told the two of them in a somewhat panicked voice, moving his foot back and standing just outside of the door frame.
Damian turned back towards you, “It’s okay,” He told you, his voice lightening. “He won’t come in, it’s fine, okay?” Your threatening gaze was shifting between the two of them. Soon, you realized Dick wouldn’t come in. He would stay right where he is outside of the room.
“O-..” You paused in a struggle, “Okay..” Your voice was slightly shaky as you looked back at Damian. Your gaze was familiar. It was vulnerable and pained. He gaze a gentle nod before beginning to slowly move towards the bed once more. You watched carefully as he took the glass from the bedside and moved back to the door to hand it to Dick.
“Thanks,” Dick said once he took the glass, “I’ll call you if anything comes up.”
“Okay.” Damian responded.
“Hey, um..” Dick looked back at him after a step, just before Damian had closed the door. “How.. How are they?”
Damian glanced back at you. You were still tense, watching the two very carefully. “They’re broken.. Emotionally and physically.”
Dick’s expression grew pained. He could only imagine the stuff you have been through. “Right..” Dick said softly, now beginning to walk away. Damian closed the door, taking a quiet breath before turning back to look at you.
“More sandwiches?” He raised a brow at the now empty tray of sandwiches. You looked down at the tray for a moment, your gaze landing back on him before you nodded weakly.
“Do you think it’s actually going to come up with Cass’s dad?” Tim asked as he dusted the glass for the fingerprints.
“I’m not sure,” Bruce said, his arms crossed as he watched Tim’s movements with the glass carefully.
“There’s also the possibility that they could share a mother,” Tim mentioned, “Lady Shiva.”
“Yes, that is also a possibility,” Bruce agreed, watching Tim stand from his spot and head over to where they insert their dna samples. He put the fingerprints in and then moved to the Batcomputer, setting the dna match testing to a criminals category.
“We're back!” A woman’s voice rang out. Bruce and Tim turned around just before they began to run the dna test. Stephanie, Barbara, and Cassandra were walking into the Batcave now. “What’s up, wasn’t Dick supposed to be here too?” Stephanie asked.
“He had relationship stuff with Kory,” Tim told her.
“What are you doing?” Stephanie asked again, putting a hand on the head rest of the chair Tim sat in and looking at the Batcomputer.
“We were just about to run another dna test on the kid,” Tim answered.
“You wanna stay?” Stephanie asked as she looked back towards Cassandra who’s expression had sullened. Everyone was silent for a second, staring to Cassandra and waiting for her answer.
“I’ll stay.” She finally answered.
“Okay,” Tim said, taking her answer. He turned his head, like the rest, back to the computer. There was a tense and stiff silence.
It took a moment for Tim to finally the enter key to analyze the dna. Tim pushed the swivel chair farther away from the desk. Everyone watched, anxiously awaiting what the results might be.
And then, finally.

GOTHAM FILES: SEASON 5
JASON TODD IS ALIVE!!!
Ra’s Al Ghul has brought him back to life and intends to give him back to Bruce as a reconciliation gift. The only thing is, the Lazarus Pit can have… interesting effects on people, especially when bringing them back to life. In Jason’s case, he comes back with a serious case of brain fog, with some slightly psychotic tendencies. Ra’s can’t return Jason like this, so he spends the next few months rehabilitating the boy and training him with the League. He’ll be such a fine warrior, not only will Bruce be getting his protégé back, but he’ll be in better shape than when he died. Little by little, though, Jason is beginning to come back to his senses, his memories return, and he begins to question where he is and what he’s doing. This isn’t right… where’s Bruce? Where’s Alfred? Why isn’t he in Gotham anymore? In a panic, somewhat brought on by the side effects of the Pit, Jason escapes the League of Shadows and winds up totally alone, totally lost in West Asia, trying to get back home. The League of Shadows goes after him, and he has to outrun them any way he can, and after a long, harrowing adventure where he jumps all around Asia, South-East Asia, and Australia, he is finally on the fast track to getting back to the States and Gotham. He’s thrilled to be back home, but the first thing he sees when he looks at the news… is Batman… and a new Robin… saving the city. He heads to the Manor to see for himself and finds Tim Drake sleeping in one of the guest bedrooms. There’s still some Lazarus Madness in his head, so he doesn’t take this so well at first. It gets worse when he realises that Joker is still alive. Batman never avenged him. Cue the events of “Under the Red Hood” where Jason takes down a gang of thugs, takes the identity of their leader, “The Red Hood,” and starts tearing up Gotham, looking for Joker, while simultaneously poking Bruce at every available opportunity. And then, when the truth is finally revealed about who Red Hood is, Ra’s shows up and tries to be all, “Look! I brought Jason back for you! Surprise? Heheh… now come marry my daughter.” And Bruce is like…. “No.” Ra’s warns him, though, that if he doesn’t join him now, he’s going to be in for a few surprises soon. He still refuses. Ra’s slinks off back to the Shadows.
Anyway, the point is, Bruce is confronted by Jason regarding Joker. Jay doesn’t hold a grudge against Bruce for not being able to save him—it was Jason’s own fault that he wound up that situation in the first place—but what he is ticked about is the fact that Joker’s still alive, and, well, to a lesser extent that he’s been kinda replaced, but it’s mostly the Joker thing. But since Jason isn’t Robin anymore, he’s not playing by Batman’s rules. He’s going to do what Batman couldn’t, and be the hero Gotham really needs. He’s going to end the Joker once and for all. Bruce tries to stop him. Killing isn’t the answer. It’s a quick fix, but it’s no guarantee that another Joker won’t pop up tomorrow, and worse… Bruce isn’t prepared to lose what’s left of his humanity. He’s traveling a dark enough path as it is. He refuses to let himself fall further and become the very thing he hates. He doesn’t want that for Jason either. In the end though, due to Bruce and Jason fighting, Joker gets away (he does wind up getting hurt bad enough that he loses sight in one eye, though), and Bruce begs Jason to come home. He’s just so immensely relieved to see him alive! But Jason… he’s not the same kid he was when he went under. He’s not Bruce’s Robin anymore and he still plans on killing Joker. It’s time they parted ways. For good.
So, yeah, the falling out part is real sad… and everyone’s brooding over what happened, and Dick even tries to find and talk to Jason, but that doesn’t help. It looks like Jay’s not ever going to be part of the BatFam again… until this happens:
Jason is rightfully ticked at Bruce, but they can shelve that long conversation for a later date. Right now they’ve gotta MOVE if they want to get Tim home alive. Everyone gets called in, Nightwing, Batgirl, Spoiler, even Starfire shows up, as she and Dick have been dating for a while now. Joker’s come up with a real twisted scheme this time, one that really throws the crew for a loop as they try to figure it all out, and Joker nearly has enough time to psychologically torture Tim (giving the Batman: Beyond film flashbacks!) but before Tim can be all twisted up into mini-Joker, his team arrives and they save him just in the nick of time!
Jason is ultimately the one to grab him, and in a way he confronts his own trauma by sparing Tim from a similar fate. This is how they bond and become one of the closer pairs in the BatFam. Jason really kicked into “Protective Older Brother Mode.”
After that scare, Batman keeps Jason from killing Joker and he’s instead locked up tight in Arkham Asylum. Again. Hopefully this time he won’t break out… hopefully. Now Jason can really chew Bruce out, but the main thing this adventure did was force them all to work together again. And maybe Jason won’t really be too far away from now on. He’s still gonna have his own place and do his own thing, but… he still does care about Bruce… and he does think of Dick and Tim as brothers… and Alfred is the best. Jason will be around.
The season goes on for a bit longer, tackling a few other stories, etc, etc, and then it ends with Dick proposing to Starfire… and Ra’s kidnapping Bruce again, but this time, it’s not to force him to marry Talia… mostly. This time, he’s got something to tell Bruce. There’s someone he needs to meet. His son, Damian Wayne. Way back in season 1, Talia had stolen some… “DNA” from Bruce while he was captured, and they had used it, in conjunction with her own… “DNA” to create Damian. She and Ra’s had been raising him for the past ten years, training him to be the perfect weapon, the perfect leader, and the perfect heir to the throne of the League of Shadows. Now it was time for the next stage in his studies. Talia had taught him just about everything she knew. Now it was Bruce’s turn. Besides, the boy had wanted to meet his father. Ra’s declares that Damian will go live with Bruce for five years, and then return home.
…So, long story short, Bruce winds up back in Gotham on the heels of Dick’s engagement with the ten-year-old son he never knew he had.
These next few years are gonna be fun.

Stalkers and Cryptids
Meeting the Bat Family
1. Danny
Since him and Wes got together with Tim at the same-ish time, it was decided that they’d get introduced to the family one at a time before going together, and for some reason, Danny got chosen to be the first to go.
It went surprisingly well! The siblings loved him (at least, they think Damien does, maybe Danny will have to convince him through the means of Cujo) and it took Bruce a moment but he came around
Duke thought Tim managed to bring the personified sun into the house at first before realizing ‘oh, it’s a person’ and switched to ‘what the fuck is up with you’, pulling out some sunglasses before asking Danny who straight faced told Duke that he ate a lot of glow sticks as a kid.
Duke asked what they tasted like.
Cass and Danny stared at each other for five minutes before nodding and continuing on like nothing happened.
Steph and Danny had to be physically separated and it was agreed to never leave those two alone. No matter the circumstances. Tim is terrified and rightfully so.
So everything was going pretty great.
And then dinner happened.
Fenton Curse reared its ugly head in the form of Danny accidentally touching the chicken with his bare hands. He barely got in an apology before the chicken jolted upwards in vengeful fury and dragged everyone into a recreation of the Cold War. Food was splattered on everything and everyone, the table was flipped to the side in an effort to be used as a shield, screams of the damned as the chicken descended upon them with a large butcher knife, something was on fire, and Alfred was loading up his shotgun crouched behind the table with Danny on one side and Bruce on the other looking like he was astral projecting but not at the same time.
It was agreed that this dinner was never to be spoken of. Ever.
Danny wore gloves from now on when he came over for a meal of any kind.
Dick had to wear a hat for a bit after the chicken managed to take off some of his hair, leaving a bald spot (Steph tried to shave his head completely to ‘even it out’)
2. Wes
They waited two months before bringing Wes to the manor and after what happened with Danny, the family was a touch more wary. Dick jokingly(ish) asked if Wes would bring anything alive, he replied with ‘Not unless you pay me’ and didn’t elaborate further.
You’d think they’d calm down after interacting with Wes for a bit because it wasn’t like he was horrible, he meshed well with the others and they could find themselves genuinely liking Wes if not for a small little thing or two. It was going too well. Wes seemed to know how to interact with all of them, barely making any mistakes that came with interacting with new people, it was off putting to the vigilantes. (Except Tim, he didn’t notice a thing odd about it)
Along with the fact that the ginger seemed to sometimes ask very…interesting questions that made the others pause. Wes can’t help himself when it comes to knowing things about people that he’s talking too, he held off this long and now he can’t help but slide in a few questions and comments here and there…just to see if they notice.
Wes could acknowledge that he found it a little funny how much he was driving the Waynes up the wall.
Bruce kept staring at Tim, as if trying to telepathically get answers from him. Tim pretended not to notice his gaze.
Someone tried to give the shovel talk and Wes responded by saying their credit card information in a deadpan tone.
This visit also somehow managed to go to hell, this one didn’t even make it to dinner. The disaster kicked off with Wes and Damian, no one is quite sure what was said but it ended with an absolute cat fight, with Dick holding back Damian who had a bruise already blooming on his lower jaw and Jason holding back Wes who had a small knife lodged into his thigh and promptly bit Jason when he abruptly grabbed the ginger.
Jason later got checked for rabies.
Wes refused to give the knife back, having left with it still in his thigh. (Danny got it out and was unsurprised by the series of events when told.)
(Batman definitely went to their apartment later that night.)
3. Bernard
This wasn’t the first time he met the Wayne Family but it was the first time he’d be meeting them as Tim’s boyfriend instead of just friend.
So obviously the meeting went find, they already knew who Bernard was so it wasn’t a get to know you meeting but a shovel talk meeting + meeting the third boyfriend
Bernard was the only one really intimidated by the shovel talks
Most peaceful night, Bernard told some of his theories during dinner, including how Superman, Batman, Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Lex Luther were in a polygamy relationship. Jason was dying (metaphorically this time) during dinner as well as the other siblings, Bruce not so much and Damian tried to act like he didn’t find it funny (Dick swears he did).
He was the only one Bruce didn’t feel the need to heavily research. (Because he already did that when he and Tim first became friends)
( I kinda hate this but whatever, it’s been in the drafts for far too long. )

For the interview crowd
Q. I know you, and many others, keep saying that the interviews are meaningless, and I get that to a point, but they can't be completely useless or they would simply stop doing them. So it's not entirely unreasonable for them to make us anxious or unsure.
A. It's absolutely unreasonable that they make you all spiral every single week. They literally cannot answer half the questions they get asked. The interviews this week were a hot mess. Complete word salads all the way around. And they're only going to get worse. Answering the questions honestly spoils the entire storyline and they're not ever going to do that. The expectations you all have for these interviews are simply unrealistic. You want Oliver, Ryan and Tim to tell you outright that Eddie is going to discover/admit that he's really been gay this entire time and he and Buck will be a couple by the end of the season. They are never going to do that. And every week when they don't do that you all doom spiral. You convince yourselves that what the episodes are very clearly showing don't matter because Oliver didn't explicitly state that 'Oh absolutely Buck is head over heels in love with Eddie and we will explore that more in the coming episodes'. He cannot say anything close to that, but come on guys. The video of that interview told you everything. He smiled every time he had to lie. He is the worst liar. They are at the beginning of a storyline they have clearly put effort into setting up. It's not their fault you don't have the patience to allow it to unfold.
Everything that is happening now is for the benefit of the general audience. Not the shippers. There is no way they can tell this story in a way that will please every shipper. Zero chance of that so they're not focusing on us. Their priority is getting the general audience on board. That is what these last 3 episodes have been about. They have to put the general audience in a position to start looking at their dynamic in a different way. Look, they could put Eddie in a basket, send him down the river and have him pop out and declare the water made him gay and I literally would not care. It would be ridiculous and embarrassing but I wouldn't care. I would be like 'great! Let's go!'. Don't care. Many shippers on the other hand have very specific ideas of how Eddie's arc should go. And they will refuse to allow themselves to enjoy his arc going any other way. Prior to 8x11 I was convinced that Eddie would be unlabeled. I was almost sure that they were going to go the route of saying Eddie was in love with Shannon and now he's in love with Buck. No more, no less. Because they have doubled so far down on Eddie's love for Shannon, to the point that they made him borderline obsessive about it last season, that making him gay is now an awkward writing choice. But they went so far in the opposite direction in episode 11 with the constant declaration that he's straight, and that kind of thing is just such a massive he's actually gay warning sign, that making him gay now seems like something the show might be doing. But I don't care what he ends up declaring about himself. I only care that he ends up with Buck. And the reality is that that's all the show cares about as well. They haven't even bothered to let Buck label himself as bisexual yet. The label is not what they care about. They have to get both characters out in order to put them together. That's what the show cares about, and the show will go with whatever storyline is easier for the general audience to buy. Period. They have been very consistent with letting this Buddie storyline play out as the B plot in multiple episodes, which is such a good idea. It allows their relationship to stay at the forefront of the audience's minds, and I look for that to continue. That means the interviews will only get more convoluted because they are going to stretch it out over several episodes. There's nothing I, or anyone else, can say to you all at this point. We explain it weekly and every week some anti on Twitter convinces you all that it's all a massive gotcha by the show. It's not. But you're going to continue to believe that it is, and I'm not going to keep trying to tell you otherwise anymore because you clearly want to believe it at this point. Prepare yourselves now though because Tommy is probably coming back for at least one more episode because his plot device role has been made clear now. He's the safe choice for Buck. He's the embodiment of Buck's pattern and the show will need to establish Buck actively choosing to break that pattern by actively choosing Eddie. Tommy gave himself away last night. He's willing to be who Buck settles for. He's made himself the safe choice which means Buck has to show his growth by rejecting that choice.
Thank you Nonny! Much appreciated!
Yeah I agree. These interviews are fun, but ultimately meaningless. Watch the show and draw your own conclusions. It'll tell you so much more about where this is all going, than reading all the interviews that just beat around the bush.
And yeah... that Oliver video? Come on! The man cannot lie. It's so obvious where this is going.
As for the Buddie storyline? I don't care either how they get Eddie out and get Buddie together. I am past having any kind of expectation about this storyline. I am simply SAT for every single episode and I will consume whatever it is they want to feed me. Even more, I'll be happy about it, because it'll bring them together.
I genuinly don't care anymore. I've been here for 7 seasons now, doing this slow burn Buddie dance. I just want them together, because it is what they deserve. I love these characters so much. They deserve the kind of love they can only give each other.
I do think they might still keep Eddie unlabeled though. I'm not convinced they'll actually make him say that he is gay. Only time will tell what Tim has decided to do with Eddie and I'm willing to wait it out.
Buddie canon soon you guys. Trust! 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️

Here for another ask about unknown reader.
The first most you made is excellent 👍 ! I do have some more ideas to propose.
-a fight between one of the batfam who investigated on the unknown (you chose Tim so you can keep Tim for it) and the aftermat, are they gone ? Who won ?
-the batfam (individual if possible) reaction to seeing unknown reader for the first time (after all the sightings and rumor were all talking about a weird creature or even corpse but unknown is another threat entirely)
-batfam rogue's gallery hearing/dealing with unknown for the first time and wondering what the hell they can do to stop it.
If you have another idea, go for it.
So, answering your questions. Yes, Detective Gordon would be involved, I can't imagine he would refuse to investigate after the number of missing people in Gotham literally increases.
In both scenarios, not only is the public eye on the case, but also that of the heroes. Do you think Gotham is the only place where the unknown attacks? I'm sorry to say it, but no. Just imagine, journalists mysteriously disappear while trying to cover the news, not only in Gotham, but also in Metropolis, Central City and more.
Depending on the scenario, this is how the heroes close to the batfamily find out about the unknown! Reader.
In the first, it is because of the disappearances that link everything to Gotham, but let us remember that the simple act of investigating and sticking your nose into the affairs of the unknown ends up knocking on the door. Inevitably a hero, whether he wants to or not, would find his way through the path of the unknown! Reader, depending on the hero is the probability of achieving victory and let me tell you that with the majority the unknown ends up losing.
It must be taken into account that in the realm of the entity, the unknown is powerful for the simple fact that no survivor can confront it as such, yes, they can blind it or prevent it from hanging someone. But like most, outside the realm of the entity, it is nothing more than an unknown being who would not know how to confront a victim who knows how to defend themselves and has superpowers.
So he would end up being locked away just so he could escape in the few moments the hero is gone, because he is a being that no one understands and no one knows what he is, was he ever a person? Is it a group of people? Is it aware that it is wrong? Does it even have any humanity? These are things we don't know and I doubt they know, they wouldn't even know how to treat it or how to prevent it from escaping so it would end up killing more people.
In the second scenario, the league finds out through someone in the batfamily, at some point from my own experience I had to see a family fall apart because they didn't know where their son was, I doubt the Batfam will be any different, maybe they'll hide it well for a while, but the fact that they can't move forward with their case drives Bruce crazy, He's the world's greatest detective and yet he doesn't know where his sweet little baby is.
I imagine Dick's heartbreak knowing that his little brother or sister is missing and not even he has been able to find them, Tim going crazy, replaying the video from the mansion's surveillance cameras over and over again, looking for some clue as to where you could have gone, Jason searching for every pimp and white slaver in Crime Alley, looking to see if anyone has you, Damian accompanying Bruce on every crime and looking around for any trace of you.
Eventually, searching for Reader becomes a burden and the league notices it, the people close to them do it, mainly Superfamily, I can just imagine Superman facing Batman, he knows what his secret identity is, he knows that his son is missing, he is a reporter and he knows when his friend is holding something back. I imagine one of Bruce's children spilling the beans, unable to bear the weight of not being able to find his little brother or sister, so Superman joins the search and and ends up being one of the reasons why Unknown! Reader ends up being captured, because even though he leaves no evidence you can always hear the screams of pain from his victims.
Answering your other questions, who would win from the Batfam and who would lose if they faced the unknown? Honestly, Batfam, don't get me wrong, it depends a lot on the scenario if it's the first or the second, if it was the first, any of them will withdraw even Jason or Damian, they know when to withdraw and look for more information, However, I doubt the unknown will leave them, it is always there, lurking. Without preparation, most perish, however, a flashlight or a flash grenade is enough to blind them and lose you.
So I doubt it would be difficult for anyone, even Tim, to lose to the unknown, honestly the poor guy has everything to lose.
If it's the second scenario, God, The unknown doesn't stand a chance, they immediately recognize that it brings your clothes, your voice and even some of your gestures and immediately everyone, absolutely ALL of them know where and who see you.
You talked about the gallery of villains, honestly few care about the unknown, some only see how to occupy it, but when they send someone to look for information, It magically disappears, some are curious and others learn that they should leave unknown entities alone.
The only one I see wanting to mess with the unknown is Joker, assuming he already knows that Batman and Bruce are the same person, in the second scenario Joker would only do it to annoy Batman, there is no other reason, so I just imagine the unknown killing Joker because he doesn't know what or who he messed with and Batman in the background watching how there is only a speck of dust once he dies.
To the other villains, if they even cared at all just because they saw his potential, as a weapon, as an ally or saw how disgustingly dangerous he is, the first time I saw this killer, I could only give up and I imagine the villains doing the same thing individually, unless you are Poison Ivy or Mr. Freeze, who have some superpower to stop him, in fact even Bane would have a chance, but people like Riddle or Penguin, I see them running away when they realize the seriousness of the problem

Batkids parenting
Dick: Dick treats his kids like they’re adults in terms of how he speaks to them. He’ll hold his 2 year old in his arms at the museum and calmly explain the systems that are in place to create rainfall. He answers literally every question with extreme patience that “why, why, why?” Toddler era would mean he started prepping to leave the house 3 hours early because he needs time to explain things to his kids and he won’t do the “because I said so thing” even if it kills him. It also means his toddlers are insanely advanced and can by the time they’re 5-6 they can do complex physics equations while swinging upside down on the monkey bars.
Jason: spoils his kids rotten, like violently rotten. There isn’t a single thing they want that he won’t get them. Goes on patrol later to read them bedtime stories. He’s a professional helicopter parent. His kids somehow turn out extremely sweet and humble despite the fact they have never been told no. He avoids the PTA like the plague
Tim: any child Tim has is an identical copy of him and he suffers. Bc why is his four year old trying to follow out of the house. Child powernaps through life the exact same way Tim refuses to have a full eight hours no he’ll have 30 power naps tho. Which means getting any children to sleep through the night is hellish. The children are hellions and whenever he complains to Dick about them Dick just cackles and goes. YOU SEE THATS HOW WE FELT ABOUT YOU. The worst part is, they’re perfect little angels to everyone else so no one except for the people who were around to see Tim grow up believes him when he complains.
Damian: Damian’s children end up feral not because of Damian Nono they’re like Robin Dick Grayson type of feral. They have the cutest lil noses and the biggest eyes and the most angelic faces and now they’re climbing the walls. See Dicks kids do this because dick has no bones and walked on his hands before his feet, Damian’s kids do this because their older cousins are their prime baby sitters. Damian comes home one day and his 7 year old is on the chandelier and it’s a perfect match of 30 years ago when Bruce came home to Dick chilling on his vintage 18th century chandelier. Naturally he freaks and tries to yell at his nieces and nephews who see nothing wrong with this because why wouldn’t you climb walls? Dad does it all the time??? Why would you have objects high up if the goal wasn’t to sit on them. Damian might look like Talia but he feels exactly how his father did all those years ago.
In terms of behavior
Jason’s are the most well behaved in general
Tim’s are the most well behaved in public
Damian’s are little menaces but they grow out of this (somewhat)
Dicks kids are a combination of him and his partner and judging by Dicks taste and general demeanor means they never have any chill… like ever.
