Thinking about Elizabeth Woodville as a gothic heroine is making me go insane. She entered the story by overturning existing social structures, provoking both ire and fascination. She married into a dynasty doomed to eat itself alive. She was repeatedly associated with the supernatural, both in terms of love and death. Her life was shaped entirely by uncanny repetitions - two marriages, two widowhoods, two depositions, two flights to sanctuary, two ultimate reclamations, all paralleling and ricocheting off each other. Her plight after 1483 exposed the true rot at the heart of the monarchy - the trappings of royalty pulled away to reveal nothing, a never-ending cycle of betrayal and war, the price of power being the (literal) blood of children. She lived past the end of her family name, she lived past the end of her myth. She ended her life in a deeply anomalous position, half-in and half-out of royal society. She was both a haunting tragedy and the ultimate survivor who was finally free.

rewatching scenes from tybw is making me think about the dynamic between jūshirō, sasameki, and shunsui and how they each carry their own darkness or burden. they all have something that they can't or won't share with most. and despite that, they're like a balm to each other and carry those burdens together. it's, in my humble opinion, the foundation of their dynamic as a family

Will Dipper always have almost no magic of his own, even after being reincarnated? He obviously has a talent for life magic but he can’t really train to get better at it, because he’s using Bill’s magic for it (and we know the latter hates it lol). I just don’t want my guy to be sad and miserable forever🥺 He deserves to become a cool and independent magician! And prove his bullies wrong once and for all!
A reincarnation of Dipper could definitely have more magic of his own! And as clever as he is, there's a bright future ahead of him. Perhaps even one where he's excellent at life magic and healing, and getting a little cocky about his own talents.
Bill, of course, upsets all the plans he had for his life. Again.
The good news is that it's a life where Dipper could use more life magic. Theoretically. The problem there is going to be hashing out how he can use it once they're bonded again.

i really can’t stop thinking about how a big point made in 5x06 was that mitchell didn’t want nolan to know it was his heart he was receiving, that his son had to stay as far away from mitchell’s life and memory as possible because he’s a good kid and he deserved better than falling into the same patterns as his father. that having his dna and his heart was not enough to “contaminate” him, but knowing could. and the thing is. this is the antithesis of why connor chose buck. connor chose buck because he is a good person who cares about others and he hopes his future kid can be a good person too, despite not having any - or very limited - direct contact with buck himself. but i wonder if maybe buck followed mitchell’s reasoning instead. if maybe he wants children but he can’t stand the idea of contaminating them with what he perceives as his countless failures and his inability to be loved by someone who can simply choose not to.

last year i did a drama performance and at the end my character breaks down completely and falls apart and his entire world has crumbled into ruins, and afterwards everyone was saying i did really good and that it felt like i was genuinely distressed and honestly i felt like bruce banner.
“that’s my secret, cap. i’m always having a mental breakdown.”
