wow so I have like 3 analysis in progress that touch on this topic but I really need to just talk about it rn with its own spotlight.

Aziraphale has this entire life that he's built for himself on earth, after armageddon he's thriving. When we catch up with him in Season 2 his first scene is literally him going to check in with one of his tenants, and throughout the season we see that he has a decent relationship with nearly Everyone on the block. He has an entire life for himself all hashed out and pretty.

Crowley... does not. His cold open in Season 2 is back in St. James park, checking in with Shax, finding out the gossip on Hell. He doesn't have his apartment, he only has his Bentley and the few plants he could fit in it. He doesn't have any other human friendships. His entire life and everything he loves to do is built entirely around Aziraphale.

This is something that I just find so fucking thrilling because when it comes to their characters and where exactly they are in their arcs right now, it's essentially like looking into a mirror.

Aziraphale knows exactly who he is when he's on his own. He nurtures his own relationships with humans he sees often, he's a nice landlord, he loves books and classical music, and hot cocoa. But, Aziraphale still holds onto the ideals of heaven. He still cares about doing good and being forgiving. He still cowers and jumps at the opportunity to help heaven, not because he wants to but because he's supposed to because he's still an angel.

Crowley has nothing. He has his car, which he drives to a secluded location to park every night, only to drive it right back in the morning. He's only even vaguely recognizable because people associate him with Aziraphale and this is fine for him, he could care less. He doesn't really need to know who he is or process his traumas, why would he when he can put all his attention and focus and love and care directly into Aziraphale? His friend, who has always been his friend, the one person who has always stood by him. Who cares about heaven and hell, he has Aziraphale.

When we finally see them on their own and without the influences of their head offices, we see the opposite of what we'd expect, and nearly the opposite of the outcome we see in episode 6. Crowley is the one constantly checking in with Hell (wether he likes it or not), and Aziraphale is the one who's living care free without even thinking about heaven. When he does something good that he wants to report, he just calls Crowley.

this whole dance of Crowley not knowing who he is without Aziraphale and Aziraphale knowing who he is fundamentally but not knowing how to break free from the confines of Heaven that stop him from truly embracing Crowley in the end, it's just so delicious.

i just find it really sweet but also find the contrast super funny that steven always has a smol cute pic of connie by his bedside, meanwhile connie has a big hecking poster of him  (and lion <3)

Tbh less fic writers completely forgetting about Kyouka's existence when Akutagawa is staying at Atsushi's house and more Kyouka just... Being 14 and honestly not wanting to deal with the ordeal of his brother's very fucked up love life.

What I mean is Kyouka late at night bothered by the noise opening the door of her room to find a bloodied and butchered Akutagawa on the verge of passing out, Atsushi frenetically trying to hold him up and simultaneously keep him quiet, both freezing in place as soon as they see her; Kyouka looking at Atsushi, looking at Akutagawa half fainted in Atsushi's arms, looking back at Atsushi, mentally going “that's not my shit to give” and announcing she'll be spending the night at Yosano's / Kenji's / Lucy's

I CAN’T DO THIS ANYMORE!! If I see one more person compare solangelo to one of those bitchy black cat x sunshine golden retriever mlm ships, I will lose my mind. Will Solace has literally never ever come across as a golden retriever, not once. In fact, he’s literally compared to a cat. The only sunshiny thing about him are his powers and his face, they are misleading because his personality is basically the opposite.

Nico may present himself in a ‘black cat’ kinda way but deep down he’s a softie and the amount of times he thinks super cute, love sick things in tsats is WILD. He reminds me of a drenched rat who likes to curl up on someone’s chest and snooze.

Sometimes I see posts about how "I, Strahd" Tatyana has the personality of a cardboard but I don't think I agree honestly.

We only see her in very few scenes (all from Strahd's POV) and she's always very gentle and soft spoken.

Which makes completely sense since she was a lowborn orphan trying to make a good impression on her future brother in law, who is not only the ruler of the valley but also a feared war criminal. Of course she would try to be as nice as possible in front of him.

I also think that Strahd was extremely genuine in thinking he was in love with Tatyana, it's just that he never really knew her the way Sergei did. He only knew a facet.

Every time I think about the fact that Akechi was Joker’s justice, and vice versa, I lose my mind at how intimate it is.

Akechi made you promise before he died to take down the man that had hurt you both, and when another man brought him back to play puppets he asks you to put an end to it as well. Akechi’s justice was never about him doing the final strike, his was allowing someone else to do it for him. His justice was having someone who cared enough to listen to him, and to do as he wished.

But for Joker, his justice was taking down the man who had killed his friend and framed him with his own two hands. His justice was deciding, that no, he refused to live in an illusion and then did something about it himself. Joker’s justice was taking the injustice done to you, and those around you, and being given the chance to end it yourself.

Akechi’s justice was having someone listen, and Joker’s justice was being given the chance to enact it himself. They perfectly mirrored each other, and understood what the other needed without even saying anything about it. It’s just so intimate, how could I not lose my mind over them?

I was thinking about how the run away with me au Robin and Steve "should we get divorced?" conversation comes about:

Theyre about 23 and Robin comes home in tears after another break up. The reason: Robin had asked her girlfriend of 8 months, Lorraine to move in with her and steve. Lorraine assumes this means steve is moving out and when Robin clarifys that no Steve is staying, he's an important part of her life theyre married for chists sake. Well Lorraine doesnt take that well, says she isnt going to spend her life playing second fiddle to Steve.

This isnt the first time a relationship had ended for either of them because a partner hadnt been able to accept that Steve and Robin were a package deal. Things had been especially rough for them romantically in the first couple years of their marriage. It wasnt until a particularly awful screaming match between Robin, Steve and Steves first real boyfriend, that they were able to admit their relationship was incredibly codependent and unhealthy. Steves boyfriend had been upset when Steve had cancelled on him for the 3rd time in a row because of a Robin Emergency™️ and decided to confront Robin about it while Steve was in class. Things escalated quickly when Steve came home early from class to find them arguing and immediately took Robins side. The argument and Steves relationship ended with a slammed door, a lot of tears and a new rift in Robin and Steves relationship.

It took a lot of long conversations with Carina and Marjorie, Steve working through his toxic masculinity enough to go see a therapist - He and Robin made a deal that theyd both go talk to someone about, you know almost dieing "do you think me being fucked up by what happened at starcourt makes me weak steve?" "No of course not!" "Well then why would it make you weak?" - and a summer spent apart (Robin taking an internship in rome to study latin) for them to sit down and have a long conversation about boundaries and ground rules for how they would navigate their relationship as well as dating in the future.

Steve and Robin agreed to both take a break from dating while they worked through their respective traumas, and figured out how to navigate their relationship in a healthy way. Things werent easy, the both of them occasionally backsliding into unhealthy behaviors, more than a few nights where one of them spent the night with Carina and Marjorie in order to have space from eachother. But eventually they get their shit figured out and decide to brave the world of dating again. Steve and Robin both have their share of flings and short lived relationships but nothing so far seemed to stick. That is until Robin met Lorraine.

Lorraine was funny, sweet and a little bitchy. They had immediately clicked after being introduced by some mutual friends from school. Robin really thought things with Lorraine were going to work out. Steve and Lorraine had gotten on like a house on fire, she had slipped into Robin and Steves dynamic easily, trading jokes and light hearted jabs, cooking breakfast together on days Lorraine would stay at their apartment. Robin had fallen hard and fast, she thought she had finally found someone who accepted that her and Steve were a package deal. So 8 months in when Lorraines lease was ending Robin (with agreement from steve) asked Lorraine to move in. Things don't go to plan. Robins dreams of a future with lorraine are shattered. She goes home broken hearted.

After Robin has cried herself out, her and steve cuddled together on the couch Steve is the one to broach the topic. Robin immediately bursts back into tears before he calms her back down again saying he doesnt want a divorce but he also doesnt want to hold Robin back, doesnt want to be the reason she cant find happiness. Robin replys by saying if anyone is holding the other back its obviously her, steve gave up everything to protect her afterall. Steve calls bullshit -years of therapy and he can finally say that word without cringing- says he would do it all again in a heartbeat, that she doesn't owe him anything. They stay up all night talking about it, about what the both of them want from their futures. Neither can see a future without the other. they're platonic life partners, one day they'll find their someones who can accept that and if not well, they'll always have eachother.

Of course they do find their someones in the form of a charming if infuriating metal head and a brilliant, sweet, and badass reporter. Through trial and error the four of them figure out how to navigate life together. They all live happy ever after.

Robin and Steve celebrate 30 years of marriage with divorce papers. They'll always love eachother but now they dont need a marriage to keep eachother safe. They dont need a marriage to stay as platonic life partners. They have eachother and they have Eddie and Nancy. They have everything they need.

I started shipping Dick Grayson and Percy Jackson as a joke and then got accidentally invested. Help.

The thing about them is that I think they would Know. They would each know that the other had been though more than any one person could be expected to bear. They would feel secrets like a weight between them. And they would just. Not ask. They would decide to be eachother's simple thing. A bright spot of good in a world that's too hard.

Dick comes across as a ray of sunshine but he keeps up with Percy's snark. Percy's bleeding heart for the downtrodden and disdain for any authority endears him to Dick. They just have complimentary energies.

What makes this funny is how everyone else reacts to them.

Dick's family is panicking, since Percy is The Most Suspicious Man on the Planet. He works six months out of the year at summer camps that don't exist. He was accused of terrorism as a twelve year old. They keep trying to bring this up with Dick, who is exaggerating oblivoiusness. "What, Percy, suspicious? Never. He's great with kids, I'm sure the campers love him, isn't that sweet?" Tim is pulling out his hair.

Meanwhile, Percy's telling Annabeth (who he is still dating, polyamory ftw) all about his new guy, and Annabeth is like, "Let me get this staight. You're dating a rich trust fund kid, who's also a police officer, named Dick? That's not a real guy. That's a parody of a person. Who are you and since when do you tolerate cops."

This is actually interesting info, cause given the connection they seem to have on the show, while also having a serious lack of information about each other, gives us two options: It could be possible Shrike and Beebs used to be friends when they were younger, and life simply made it's thing and they had to split apart for a long, long time. Finding each other once again as adults and deciding to start a business together for the sake of that old friendship, cause y'know-- Who's better to trust out there to watch your back in such a hostile universe than an old friend?

It would explain why they seem to have this certain level of closeness to each other, almost knowing what the other is thinking, while at the same time feeling like two complete strangers. There was a gap in their lives that they don't know about, and are still not ready to share. It would also make any future reveals sting even more, cause what's worse than refusint to trust someone you used to share everything with long ago? I think it's an interesting perspective on friendship. Things change, people change, life changes. Shrike and Beebs are not the same people they were before, and that's scary. It's scary to be open and honest, to be vulnerable. It's not the same from when you were a kid, when you could swear everlasting friendship at the smallest act of kindness, that's not how things work.

The things they must've seen and gone through by themselves still hurt, and despite their past history together, it's still hard to imagine the other would understand-- why they did the things they did then.

But it could also give them the opportunity to reconnect once again, forming a far stronger bond than ever before, once they're aware of each other's experiences, mistakes, and fears. If they're getting along this well now, imagine how it would be once they feel safe enough with each other. To know for sure, that no matter what happens, they can still trust each other with their lives.

Or. Y'know. Maybe they just met in a random encounter in the current time and began talking, and decided to start a merc company cause they had no one else to turn to, and they tolerated eachother enough to try it <3
