TF/M+R: Wrecker's Little Girl

A set of headcanons involving Wheeljack adopting Kanya from Mario + Rabbids from this post here. Enjoy!

Kanya

Species: Rabbid, Spark Hunter variety

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Occupation: Inventor/Wrecker

A Rabbid who literally crashed into Wheeljack's life after the events of Last Spark Hunter. He took her in and nursed her back to health. Kanya is still arrogant, manic and a bit mean but mellows into a nicer individual thanks to Wheeljack. She only shows kindness to those who she likes. Has therapy companions in the form of a dud Bob-omb named Bub and a Chain Chomp known as Nippy. (Wheeljack still doesn't know how she got em but let's them stay.)

-Daddy's little feral princess. Kanya is often spoiled by the Autobot with her own workshop, testing ground and all sorts of stuff like plushies. Even has a homemade star shaped stim toy she can bite when nervous.

- Often fights in a mech suit but her main weapon is a remote control yo-yo called the Ring O' Bomber. This item rolls around an explosive that becomes active once detached the string and has a 10 meter radius to move alongside a 10 second timer before detonating. A new bomb regrows in 10 seconds after detachment.

-Loves terrorizing calm leader types and grumps. Doesn't get much jollies with skittish people though since they're too easy to spook. TFP Ratchet is terrified of Kanya and she vows to break TFP Optimus Prime's calm persona. Ultra Magnus was a fun challenge.

-Absolutely kidnapped Breakdown from MECH just because she wants to know his beef with 'uncle Bulkhead'. He'd endured the most awkward tea party until Wheeljack had to let the Decepticon go after realizing what Kanya did. Breakdown will take that than vivisection from the MECH documents said Rabbid stole. (Prime only.)

-Don't put any fingers in Kanya's biting range. Many Cybertronians nearly lost a servo for doing so, Autobots and Decepticons. A much bigger menace to the latter since they don't learn. (G1)

Wheeljack

Species: Cybertronian, Autobot faction

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Occupation: Inventor/Demolition Expert/Wrecker

Kanya's foster father who cared for her since she crashed into his life. A fun loving inventor that tries to steer his Rabbid daughter to use her chaotic skills for something better than world domination. (He managed to get her to become neutral!) Be careful when visiting his workshop though. Wheeljack's inventions still have a tendency to explode! Even moreso with his daughter now around.

-Likes to spoil Kanya whenever he can. The Autobot figures some positive reinforcement will help with her mental issues. Especially after hearing about the Rabbid's origins. It works since she didn't bite him on the second week of recovery.

- Need to explain an invention or plan? Wheeljack usually lets Kanya go over it with the group and adds commentary when needed. It makes her happy so why not?

-Spray bottle. He always carry one as Kanya has a habit of 'overloading'. A nice spritz snaps her outta an episode and he can care for her accordingly. Only Wheeljack is allowed to handle Kanya during this period. He has made it an established rule for everyone's safety.

-'Get out of jail free card.' There have been MANY times he had to rescue someone solicited to his daughter's "tea parties". Autobots, Decepticons, etc. He casually warned Team Prime about it. They didn't believe him until Wheeljack gave footage of Breakdown's party. (Prime)

-Only person who can pick up Kanya without getting bitten. He always gives someone warning to watch their servos around his Rabbid daughter. Do they listen? NO. Wheeljack just pats a smug Kanya on the head afterwards. (G1)

Considering that tfp cybertronian don't have lips like humans,to """kiss""" eachother, they basicly bonk heads together like cats with a light electric current running between them.

I LOVE THIS IDEA

I swear I've written about it before, but here I go again.

Keeping in line with my personal headcanon that touching is just a way to bond, I can see Bumblebee hurrying to bonk his helm against everyone he likes. Arcee gets one, Bulkhead had to kneel down to get one, Ratchet gets two happy bonks, Optimus gets one long bonk. The kids are even offered the bonks but Bee has to be very careful so as to not accidently hurt them. Smokey doesn't get bonks, nor does Ultra Magnus. They are too new or important for him to feel comfortable.

Arcee doesn't do helm touches. That's for sparklings and very close pairs. No instead she does leans. She will rest her helm against the leg or torso of those she likes. No hugs here. Just a light touch. She's a tad too short for most other interaction anyway.

Bulkhead is very gentle with everyone he does helm touches with. He doesn't touch Ratchet with a ten foot pole and he is VERY conservative with the touches he offers Optimus. The Prime will get light touches like the ones Arcee offers. Bumblebee often gets full blown helm touches. Arcee doesn't like getting helm touches so Bulkhead instead touches her back whenever he can. Wheeljack though? Whenever he's at base Bulkhead and Wheeljack will butt helms like rams. He might pat Magnus's shoulder, but that's all. Smokey gets no helm touches, but shoulder touches are acceptable.

Ratchet isn't particularly stingy about touching. He's a medic after all. It is literally his job to stick his digits everywhere. But when he's feeling particularly touchy he will offer helm touches to Bumblebee and Optimus exclusively. He knows them the best and so is far more comfortable touching them. Bulkhead and Arcee get back touches and in Bulkhead's case, hip and torso touches as well. Ultra Magnus is in a similar boat. Smokescreen is too new for serious touching, but Ratchet is willing to throw him a bone due to his youth and will give him back touches as well when he's feeling down.

Technically the rules state that it is heretical for anyone to touch the Prime without going through various rituals, but Optimus gave everyone the green light so now he will go about touching his team whenever he feels like it. Helm bonks go for whoever he trusts and is comfortable with it. Back, arm, and pretty much anywhere else touches go for the rest of the team. Smokescreen never emotionally recovered when Optimus spontaneously decided he trusted Smokescreen enough for the rookie to get touches.

Ultra Magnus will only touch his Wreckers, Ratchet, and Optimus. He may give Bee a few touches, but its RARE. He will touch helms with Optimus and Bulkhead, even Wheeljack eventually. It is all a matter of trust, one which he first engaged in begrudgingly but now secretly really enjoys.

Smokescreen both REALLY wants touches but also isn't entirely sure about what to do. Standard dictates that touches are reserved for close companions. But the war meant that the usual time it takes for trust to build has significantly shortened. He spent several weeks totally touch starved until Bulkhead accepted him first. The rest of the team followed suit and poor Smokescreen has never gotten so much physical affection in his life.

Touching reaffirms bonds. There is nothing weird about it. The whole process is just to solidify companionship. Despite that eventually being explained to the humans, they will never not blush when the team will nonchalantly stick their servos in places humans would see as being very reserved. Arcee is the worst offender in their eyes since she is often too short to reach anything except the legs and crotch of taller bots.

Redesign of one of my many Seeker OCs, Skyburst!

ranting bout him because you know me

Skyburst is a Seeker Clone, but a very VERY defective one. He came out a complete mess when he was forged from his optics, mixed model (attempted TFA x TFP 😭), and insane paint job. Yet despite all this, he doesn't care at all. At least he wasn't cloned with Starscream's egotistic and rude personality, SB's the exact opposite!

He's optimistic, energetic and bright mech! (Both mentally and physically, get it). He has a passion for inventing, and a dream to create inventions that would help Cybertron become a better place. In his time with the Decepticons, he was excited to share his ideas with them. But they saw no good in his 'solutions' and him, especially Starscream. He was downgraded and picked on all the time, being called names like 'defect' or even 'accident' or 'mistake'. Nevertheless, that didn't stop him from believing in himself and feeling happy. All he needed was the right bots to be around to support him to achieve his goals.

One day on the battlefield, Skyburst was caught by none other than Optimus Prime, trying to escape the fight but not from cowardice. When he thought he was gonna be taken in as a prisoner, or even killed, Optimus (obviously) didn't do such a thing. Instead, he gave SB a chance, and let him join the Autobots. With no hesitation or second thoughts, Skyburst joined in and was the happiest he's ever been.

Now an Autobot, he loves his new 'family'. He enjoys the kids' company, playing short games with Bulkhead and Jackie, and especially getting to actually invent all his ideas into reality. He goes through a lot of trial and error, a little too much he sees Ratchet everyday just to get a few* scratches, scars and burns mended due to most of his inventions blowing up when he tests them. Wheeljack tells him he's proud whenever it does.

The only other thing he actually needs is a new paint job, but he doesn't want to.

Fun Facts!!

He likes mixing Cybertroian technology with human tech, like basically making human devices or other gizmos but for Cybertronians to use. He made a working laptop!

He can go WAYYY off topic in team meetings. Once he went talking about moths - specifically Australian Magpie moths - for an hour and a half.

Since the mix between Cybertroragnic tech, he's seen the internet. But DON'T YOU WORRY, it was the safe nostalgic Vine era. He's also learnt how to read English, but that also draws some confusion to the Autbots. Like the basic anatomy like hands and head, while Cybertronians call it servos and helm. (Also slang)

TFP X Avian Reader

Background info: The reader is an escaped experiment from MECH. They tried to make a super human but failed, this is for the optimus one.

Also, reader is an avian. I think it fits better. Also, this is what a avian looks like.

Optimus

Optimus was minding his own business. He was following an energon single intel he came across a massive trap laid out by MECH.

Inside he found reader.

He was amazed since he never seen a human with feathers or wings.

He definitely noticed how they acted like a bird. Meaning reader ruffled up their feather's, and tried to make themselves bigger.

Like an owl.

How an owl dose it

He talks calmy to it and frees it.

Reader takes this chance to fly away.

Optimus was surprised, worried, and sad that reader flue away but he hopes to find them again

Weeks past and optimus starts to find strange objects right outside of the base

Broken beer peices, rings, cans, even an engergon crystal once.

When he stayed up late to catch the intruder, he finds reader.

She was the one bringing the stuff to the base.

Optimus takes this opportunity to try to help and earn trust from the reader.

It takes a Hella long time.

But reader comes when optimus calls them and will actally bring him things he lost.

Even ancient objects that reader can carry.

Wheeljack

When wheeljack was captured by the decepticons he was brought into Knockouts lab.

(Shockwave wasent in the story yet)

While he hanged there, he noticed movement from the corner of his optic.

When he looks over, he finds reader looking at him curious from her contaner.

Wheeljack was definitely surprised since he knows humans don't look like giant turkeys.

He tries to talk to it, but reader just dose clicks and chirps.

When wheeljack has the ability to knockout...knockout...ya

He takes this chance to grab the container reader is in and runs out of the decepticon warship.

Once back at his jackhammer, he opens the container and reader quickly flies off.

Wheeljack definitely will tell the autobots but pains no mind to reader.

She's free, no longer in danger, no longer his problem.

After a couple of weeks after the incident, wheeljack flies off earth to find more autobots.

That's when he hears wierd noises at the back of the jackhammer.

He goes back to investigate. Preparing since it could be a con.

But he finds reader, making nest out of his tools.

He is surprised but tries to talk to reader.

He is surprised when reader hands him a can.

He learns quickly that shiny is readers favorite thing.

Ratchet

Ratchet was going thru the internet at base, looking for any spotting of weird things.

Like ancient shit.

That's when he came across a article about a moth/bird person.

He knew humans made up alot of woerd story's to scare there kind.

He would have dismissed it, if it wasent for the fact in the picture, this moth/bird thing had a necklace.

An ancient cybertronian artifact.

He looks at all the spotting and narrow it down in a forest in south America.

He takes a portal there, since he thinks he can handle this alone.

After a few hours of searching, he finds the necklace...with a bunch of other shiny stuff in a giant ass nest

He was amazed since all the reasurch he has done on earth life never talked about birds or anytbing making nest this big.

When he reached for the reckless, something swoops down and latches on his face.

Ratchet curses and tries to swat the thing off.

It makes a painful chirp and crashes into the ground.

When he looks at it, he is amazed to find a human...half bird?

He was amazed but seeing it hurt, he curses and helps it

He takes it to base and helps it

Que a stressful few weeks

Reader was a pain in the aft.

But ratchrt somehow earned their trust...also alot of shiny nick-nacks on his keybord.

Megatron

Megatron met reader when he captured a human and gave it to Shockwave.

Ordering him to make a hybrid.

Weeks later, Shockwave presents reader. A half bird and human hybrid.

Megatron wasent happy that it was dangerous but dosent kill it.

Nah, it's his pet.

Soon, reader gets out of the warship and dose there own thing.

Soon returning with shiny stuff they find.

They made a nest up high in the throne room

Megatron was annoyed by that but it dosent interfere with his planes so leaves it alone.

Soon, he noticed shiny things in his berthroom.

Like rings, cans, broken beer bottles, chip bags, anything shiny.

He was confused and went to Soundwave to see the recording who dared went into his berthroom

He finds reader flying in there and setting them in there.

He was confused.

Intel once day, reader returned to the ship with an artifact they just lost to the autobots.

He was amazed and actally impressed for once.

He praised reader and ordered anyone who hurts reader will lose their spark.

Reader was now a higher rank then starscrsam XD

A mini groundbrigde for smaller travels.

They started up the machine.

The machine whirling to life.

“Hmmm… got to admit this is a first. Wheeljack’s invention hasn’t caught on fire yet.”--Elita

Wheeljack puffs his chassis a bit in pride.

The portal starts malfunctioning.

“I take that back.”--Elita

“EVERYONE GET DOWN!”--Wheeljack

A figure gets shot out the portal and flies straight into the wall behind everyone.

Everyone winces when the figure slides down the wall and lands face first on the floor.

Buddy groans as she feels some servo help her stand up.

Nightshade and Hashtag go to the bot and help them to their pedes.

“Are you all right? You took quite a fall.”--Nightshade

Buddy blinks looking at the green bot and the larger purple bot.

“Umm… thank you? You guys have been the first to ask me—”--Buddy

Buddy zeroes in on Megatron in the room.

Twitch notices the bot staring at Megatron.

Anyone who made a remotely offensive comment about his talking was met with a glare.

The Terrans want to know everything about Buddy’s universe.

Buddy is extremely light on the details.

“We have a small team of Autobots on Earth and a slightly larger group of Decepticon’s.”--Buddy

“What do you do for fun?”--Jawbreaker

“Fun? Like watch indoor movies?”--Buddy

The Terrans immediately jump to defend their Megatron telling her that he is a good guy now.

Even Bumblebee offered his words on it.

Buddy told them that she believed it, truly.

Any Megatron that was willing to work with Optimus was a good Megatron in her book.

As the days go on Buddy becomes more and more comfortable around the small family the Maltos created.

Buddy is simply blown away by some of the bots and cons around.

She never would have thought there would be a universe where things looked to be so peaceful. Truly a dream.

The Terrans offer to teach Buddy games and even joins in Bumblebee’s exercises.

Buddy also gets into a sparing match with the yellow bot.

It was a pretty close draw with Buddy losing because she saw Fluffy ears.

But there does come a time when Buddy does open up a bit about her past with her Megatron.

“Did your Megatron ever… hurt you?”--Megatron

Buddy nodded, not trusting her voice.

Even after so much talking about the subject, it still made her chock up on tears.

“Was it…”--Optimus

“It was bad yes. I was moved to the Autobots for my own safety after he came back the… I don’t even remember which time he disappeared leaving me in charge again.”--Buddy

“You were in charge of the Cons? Why not stop the war then?”—Megatron

“I never got in contact with my Optimus before he came back. But things are definitely much better now. Not the best but a bit better.”--Buddy

Megatron looks at Buddy for a second and slowly pats her helm.

She just smiles at him sadly.

“I know you feel guilty. But its not your fault. None of it is.”--Buddy

“I’m only sorry to never have had the pleasure of meeting you in this lifetime.”--Megatron

“Maybe you will… or maybe in a way you have.”--Buddy

Buddy and the others look at the Terrans goofing off in the pasture.

Soon enough, the portal comes back.

There are so many hugs for Buddy and open invite to come back.

Buddy is dubbed ‘The Cousin from another universe’.

Buddy wears this with pride.

Nightshade already promises to find a way to get a portal to her universe safely.

Buddy shoots out of the portal straight into Bulkhead’s back.

TFP and Love Languages HCs

starting with the humans, i think Raf's is physical affection

throughout the show we see him holding Jacks hand in a few scenes, especially when he's worried (i cant remember specific scenes but ill edit once i do remember)

we also see him hugging others and sitting on Ratchets shoulder

Jack is words of encouragement, i think this slowly develops over the show more but we see him comforting Raf in that one scene on the decepticon ship

i also think he gets it from Optimus (in which ill describe in a bit)

Miko is quality time (also physical affection maybe? we see her hug some of the others and she seems like the type of person who doesnt gaf about personal space that much lol)

but she loves doing things with the bots, especially Bulkhead of course

and shes always wanting to go on missions with the others, part of this is probably her love for getting the adrenaline rush of it all and also alien robots fighting each other, but i also think part of it is her wanting to hangout and see her favorite people in action if that makes sense

i havent thought of any for June and Fowler but if anyone has an idea pls do share !!

she gave Miko encouragement and advice when Bulkhead was injured

same when Raf was injured, she talked with Bee to try and calm him down

Bumblebee was also a little tricky for me

for him i wanna say physical affection

hes constantly reaching out and holding Raf, and hugged Ratchet when he got his voice back

Miko and Holding a Grudge: Storytime is Learning Time

I was thinking about how in the final episode of TFP, Miko uses the "I'm going to beat your ass" armour to punch Knockout clean across the face

Miko punches him so quickly and efficiently that I genuinely could not get a screenshot of the impact moment. lmao

And there are a lot of good reasons for her to want to slap this twink into the stratosphere, but I was thinking about any specific grudges Miko might have personally against Knockout to help fuel that punch

Because typically Miko goes in with a sort of "I learned this by watching WWE with Bulkhead and I'm excited to hurt you" tiny human wrecker energy and is naturally hyped, so she tends to go in with a slightly showy approach to delivering a beatdown, which makes sense.

We know she watches stuff like monster truck rallies with Bulkhead, and we know she's watched Bulkhead and Wheeljack pretty closely, and this has had an impact on her developing her personal fighting style: High energy, maybe a couple attempts at some kind of signature moves. she's learned from TV shows and watching actual factional alien warfare play out in the Nevada desert. Shit's wild, and so is she.

But when she punches Knockout, it's a totally silent, quick, efficient hit-- which is pretty different to how Miko usually approaches "the smackdown".

Sure, part of it is because Knockout is sort of ruining a huge moment for the Autobots by quipping at a particularly annoying moment to do so, and she probably just wants him to shut the fuck up as quickly as possible so they can all get back to enjoying watching the revitalisation of Cybertron.

And they're all probably a bit tired from even managing to get to this point.

But then I remembered:

In the episode Flying Mind, Miko and Raf help Fowler off the Nemesis after he's been incapacitated.

But Jack stays behind, and when Knockout snaps out of Trypticon's stasis, he attempts to power drill through Jack's head/upper torso.

Ratchet comes through the ground bridge and punches Knockout, in the same way Miko punches Knockout in the series finale. One hit, and we're done here.

Now, Miko wasn't there to witness this, but we know Miko frequently asks the others to tell her about anything she misses, either because she's been asked to stay home or because things kicked off when she was otherwise not around. She likes to hear battle stories. She's actively jealous of the others when they get to go deal with cool shit and she can't for various reasons.

So we can assume that she asked Jack what happened, or perhaps Ratchet briefed everyone once the other Autobots were revived from temporary stasis, and she would have been present for that in the base.

Miko holds a grudge. There is an entire episode where her and Wheeljack essentially go on an ill-advised revenge mission after Bulkhead is injured. She operates on that mafia level shit, wanting revenge so badly that she essentially withholds information from Wheeljack until he agrees to let her tag along.

And while she learned from that experience, it does hint at the type of mindset she has-- Don't fuck with her friends, or she will very much hold onto that anger until she gets the chance to act on it.

When she punches Knockout, it's a quick, clean punch. Which makes sense contextually for that scene, she's not going to haul completely off on him in that moment.

But it also echoes how Ratchet dealt with him when Knockout was threatening Jack, and that seems like the kind of detail Miko would remember after having it described to her.

She has a bit of a vengeful streak, and even though she does learn not to act on desires for revenge, she's still a kid and god she loves fighting so much, and there is no way she forgot about that one time Knockout tried to kill her friend with a fucking drill-- Even if she didn't get to witness it, it's likely she was told about it in some way, and she's been holding onto that for a while.

So I just really like that her punching Knockout is a mirror of when Ratchet punched Knockout previously, because we know she's very good at paying attention to detail when it comes to fighting, and we know that she learns from observation and from listening to battle stories.

It makes a lot of sense if she just recognised Knockout as being that one bot who nearly killed Jack and remembered how Jack likely described the incident to her later (or may have gotten details from any debriefing Ratchet may have provided at the base), and in that moment recalled that Ratchet took him down in one hit, so she should probably just do the same.

It's quick, it worked before on this exact bot, it'll probably work again.

Miko does learn. She very much holds a grudge. And I like that even though her actions in the finale make sense even without the possible background connection to a prior episode, it does perfectly make sense either way.

You know she begged Jack for all the details later, and you know she committed that shit to memory.

If Ratchet can knock out Knockout, so can she.

And she's not having their victory moment fucked up by some dude who seriously put them in danger on many previous occasions, even if he came around to the "winning team" in the end.

anyway you just know Miko is a mascot for the Wreckers later on, like there's no way Wheeljack and/or Bulkhead doesn't custom paint the side of a ship at some point like a WW2 aircraft lmao but it's just a painting of Miko laughing maniacally while punching a boulder or something

Ok so - stop screaming it's just me - so we know Experiment!Wheeljack can growl and hiss and stuff, but can he purr? And/or does he act animalistic in other ways (territorial, gets the zoomies, etc)? (You explored some of this in the chapter where he's staying at the original Autobot outpost, but I keep having Thoughts™ about our favorite gremlin Wrecker so I came here to chat about him😅) Ok that's all, I'll just be going now

Good question! I don’t think he can purr exactly the same way that a cat does, but he definitely can! Much in the same way he growls via grinding the sections of his throat together + engine noise he could probably also purr. So kinda weird sounding but recognizably purring

He also ABSOLUTELY gets the zoomies. He learned how to control it when he was with the Wreckers back on Cybertron, but it still slips out sometimes (like when June found him on the ceiling). Lights and sharp movements attract him, so he would in fact chase a laser pointer. Shockwave probably figured that one out the hard way while making calculations. He naturally walks very quietly and has a tendency to freeze up and try to stalk anything perceived as prey. He also sometimes has the urge to just get up and walk around randomly (which Ratchet also got to see when he caught him sneaking out to check on Bulkhead)

He’s learned to suppress most of the more animalistic urges around other bots. Back when he was on the Jackhammer alone he was quite literally bouncing off the walls, crawling around on the ceiling, biting the leg of his berth, etc.

Personally I think if he cut loose in the Autobot base it would go something like this

Optimus had experienced his fair share of odd situations throughout his life. That was only natural when you were the leader of the autobots and had lived as long as he had. He had battled space monsters, shapeshifters, old gods, undead.

But he had to admit that interdimensional travel was a first for him.

At least he could feel at ease knowing that he had landed among friends, even if they were a tad different from the versions he knew.

"You're so tall!" the human girl, Sari, exclaimed with awe, eyes shining as she craned her neck to look at him. With her pigtails and excited personality she reminded Optimus a lot of Miko.

The Bumblebee of this dimension did not appear as impressed. He crossed his arms with a humpf and glared at Optimus with critical optics. "Well, he's probably super slow, slower than a snail!"

"I bet he's super strong too..." Other Bulkhead murmured, decidedly more impressed. He stared at Optimus' arms dreamily.

"He's got a strong spiritual presence, that's for sure," the two-wheeler designated Prowl commented. His optics focused on Optimus chestplates, leaning in closer. "And there's something else. It almost feels like-"

"Would people get out of my medbay!?" Ratchet, who appeared to be just as high strung as the one in his own dimension, interrupted. He waved around a datapad like Wheeljack with one of his swords. "We don't know what kind of viruses his world have and if we're susceptible to them! We could have a potential pandemic on our servos!"

"Viruses!?" Bumblebee stomped his pede and pointed an accusing digit at Optimus. "You guys see? This bot is nothing but trouble! I say we send him back to wherever he came from as soon as possible and get our own Optimus back!"

Bulkhead piped up. "That might be more difficult than you think, Bumblebee. You see, he portal that brought him here was due to a space bridge malfunction that quite frankly had a one in 3 billion chance of happening and even if we were to find a way to replicate this we'd also have to find a way to get his dimension do the same thing on their end."

Optimus cocked his head, intrigued. "Do you know a lot about space bridge technology, Bulkhead?"

"Uh, yeah, I guess I know some things," he responded, meekly. He fidgeted with his servos, not quite daring to look Optimus in the optics.

Ratchet interjected. "Don't sell yourself short now," he chided, giving Bulkhead a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Bulkhead here is the foremost expert of space bridge technology. Ain't no bot that knows more about the stuff than he does."

Hearing this, Optimus smiled. "That's incredible! While the Bulkhead I know is a brilliant mech in his own right he does not possess such expertise in space bridges. How brilliant!"

At this, Bulkhead finally managed to meet Optimus' optics. There was a faint blush on his faceplates. "Really? I'm not really all that- Uh, I mean, what's your Bulkhead like?"

Optimus' smile grew fonder. "He's one of the bravest mechs I've ever had the honor of knowing. The only thing that can compare to his immense strength is his kindness." Gazing down at the young bot in front of him, he placed his servo on the his shoulder. "The two of you are appear very much alike, in that regard."

Bulkhead's blush grew in intensity, his optics becoming round like saucers, flickering from Optimus' face to where his servo was on his shoulder back to his face. "Oh geez, I don't know what to, oh stars-"

"What about Bumblebee?" Sari suddenly asked, clambering on top of some barrels to be seen. "When you first appeared you said you had a Bumblebee in your universe as well, right?"

Bumblebee, this universe's version, crossed his arms again. "Whatever kind of person he is, he can't be faster, or more handsome, than me!" He paused. "But yeah, what about him?"

Optimus laughed. "There's no way I can praise him enough. Bumblebee is a true hero, through and through, and he's saved my life more times than I can count."

At this, Bumblebee visibly preened. "Oh yeah? Sounds kinda like me then. You know, I've also saved our Optimus' life a couple of times already." He jabbed a thumb at his chest. "Some call me a hero too."

"I don't doubt it," Optimus replied and somehow Bumblebee managed to puff out his chest even more.

"Yeah, well, why don't you tell me some more about my other dimensional counterpart and my- I mean his, heroic deeds? Just so we can compare notes."

Ratched sighed loudly and dragged a palm down his face. "Great, just what we need, Bumblebee getting yet another ego boost."

Prowl leaned in closer to the medic. "At least he's not openly hostile towards our visitor anymore." The corner of his mouth twitched. "He got so mad when this Optimus asked him if he wasn't too young to be an autobot when they first met."

Ratchet couldn't help but snort. "That alone made all of this worth it. Sigh, I just hope our Optimus is alright."

Character Breakdown:

How I feel about this character: Everyone's favorite Autobot medic! He's grumpy and snaps at people frequently, but he really does care more than he lets on. I love how even despite his general attitude, he would do anything to help the people he cares about, and he's willing to put his snarkiness aside to help others. And he's generally the smartest person on the team when it comes to making risky decisions.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Drift, Wheeljack, and Ironhide, in that order.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Ratchet and Optimus are a good platonic pair. I enjoy their prewar and postwar dynamics. Ratchet is like the friend who said "I told you so" when he said your ex was a bad choice of partner. Also Wheeljack and Ironhide of course as well, since my number one romantic ship for him is still Dratchet. Wheeljack is his explosive mechanical engineering partner and Ironhide drives him nuts.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I'm not a big fan of the TFA voice and design. I think it's fine, but my favorite version of him would be TFP's by far.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish we could've seen more fluff with him and Drift in MTMTE. I feel like the build up of their relationship was mostly off screen or implied. Also, I feel like exploring Ratchet's coping with the horrors of war should be looked into. Personally, since he was kind of a party animal when he was younger, I think he's always been a drinker, but developed an unhealthy coping mechanism with it because of how many patients he's lost. His dwelling on those he couldn't save is a really interesting quality about his character, and I'd like to see more of Drift and Ratchet helping each other heal from their bad habits.

Optimus: He loves all animals big and small, but understands they are a huge responsibility. He would probably have a dog.

Arcee: She is definitely the type to not like a pet and slowly warm up to it. Definitely a cat person

Bumblebee: Sees an animal, rescues it and keeps it at the base secretly. Definitely a dog fan, but would probably bring the LOUDEST DOG compared to his quiet self.

Bulkhead: He would sneak the animal in, hide and take care of it in their room. Ratchet would probably catch them. He would like cats I feel like. Orange ones. (They remind him of Miko)

Ratchet: NOPE. NOT A PET MECH AT ALL. He would be ADAMANT that the pet would have to go. But when you'd least expect it, probably see him petting the animal. He would prefer dogs more.

Ultra Magnus: Pets get in the way of his work, so he really REALLY doesn't care for them.

Wheeljack: Would purposefully bring a whole shelter of dogs to the base.

Megatron: Not a cat person, but a dog? Oh YES this could definitely help aid in the Autobots defeat.

Starscream: Now why would he be running away from the pet. He would slowly warm up to it and monologue plots of destroying Megatron to it. He would probably prefer a cat, probably a hairless one.

Soundwave: He has Lazerbeak, but he wouldnt mind other animals..except cats. Cats like to try and assisnate Lazerbeak.

Knockout: I don't think he would be a fan AT FIRST, but as soon as he found one to match his beauty he would probably SPOIL whatever pet he chose. If he was a human? Probably would go to Dog/Cat shows. He loves them both.

Breakdown: Doesn't show it, but probably would love animals. He would find a pitbull on the side of Jaspers streets, and take them to the Nemesis and hide them.

Arachnid: Spiders are her pets, and she is content with that. No cats, no dogs. Just spiders.

Steve: HE would be the reason the animal shows up on the Nemesis in the first place

I’m apart of the ‘frequent nosebleeds when it’s dry AF’ club, and I know it has to be dry as a motherfucker in Neveda, so how would the TFP bots react if one (or Primus forbid all three) of the kids got a (or multiple) nosebleed because of dry air?

I feel you on the nosebleed thing. Dry areas SUCK. As for the reactions of the bots? Well-

Ratchet would take a moment to notice, but once he notices one or more of the children clutching their noses to try and stem the bleeding, he's going to assume the worst. Having never seen a human BLEED FROM THEIR FACIAL ORAFACES, he wouldn't take it well. When a Cybertronian is leaking energon from the intake or optics, it means something has gone horribly wrong with something in the processors or internal components. That fact does not translate well for his view on the children's situation. He would likely drag the kid in question over to the medical berth and hastily begin preparing everything under the sun just in case he needs to perform emergency surgery.

Bulkhead and Wheeljack wouldn't panic immediately, but seeing the sheer amount of blood leaking from the kid in question, they would start to worry. Red is a very bright color, and it tends to look a lot worse than it is. Especially on such a small person. They would do their best to be strong for the child, if only so that whoever it is doesn't worry. But they would be quietly rushing to call up June for fear of losing one of the kids to strange blood loss.

Arcee's reaction would be similarity mature. Her focus would be on keeping the kid with the nose bleed calm. She's seen mecha drop dead on the battlefield because they panicked and bled out faster. So her entire focus would be on distracting and comforting in her own gruff way. She would be the one providing new tissues and yelling at Smokescreen and Bumblebee so that they can go make themselves useful.

Smokescreen and Bumblebee would quickly follow Arcee's lead and help whichever kid(s) are not experiencing the nose bleed. Damage control is their role, and they would do a rather poor job at not showing their worry. Most of their efforts would revolve around preparing to have to give horrible news in the event things go south. Ultra Magnus would, as always, be ready to go with funeral preparations and a speech ready to honor the fallen. Optimus would TRY to make himself useful, but at most he would start trying to get ahold of Agent Fowler and hastily dig through the human internet for some sort of guide regarding what to do to help the child in question before death becomes inevitable.

The team would be organized and controlled. They've dealt with death before, albeit amongst their own kind more than anything else. Moving with practiced precision, they would do what they could to be prepared for any scenario until June or Fowler can explain and the whole team can relax.

If Ratchet checked on the child in question repeatedly over the following days, not a spark said anything. None would say so aloud, but the fear of losing one of the children is strong.
