Everyone out there talking about Stranger Things S4 and here I am completely destroyed by the last episode of Panchayat Season 2
(In hindsight, shouldn't have watched it on my period)

ถ้ามีรุ้งด้วยก็คงจะดี /thaa mee rung duuay gaaw khohng ja dee/
รุ้ง /rung/ is a rainbow, the entire spectrum of light, all of the colors.
Rung is the name of Mork's sister. So what he says here, could also be read as:
"If Rung was here too, that would be nice."
You know how rainbows are formed? Light refracts in airborne water droplets. And you know what is made of such water droplets and can thus create a rainbow? หมอก /maawk/ - mist, fog, Mork.
It's not just Day who realized that he can still experience the world in all its beauty. I think Mork also realized that what matters is in your heart. Because he'll always carry Rung with him, wherever he goes.
Rung is all around them.
My usual disclaimer applies: not a native Thai speaker, still learning 🙏

That moment where Leia asks Obi-Wan if he’s her real dad was so deeply profound to me because of course she would think that. Obi-Wan was the first man Leia ever saw in her whole life. The first man to hold her after she was born. To look at her with love and concern and the desire to ensure she was kept safe. She’s so intuitive and it’s a natural conclusion since somewhere deep in her subconscious her very first memory involves being cradled in his hands.

This is a bit of a different post for me to be making, but I need to share:
Almost a decade ago I got Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and the hamster Clay was one of my starting villagers. INSTANTLY fell in love. Loved this little dude and his obsession with snacks. Sunk actual hundreds of hours into the game and Clay was always my favorite part of it.
Come one day, my cartridge refuses to be read by my 3Ds and had to be replaced. Clay was gone.
I sunk hundreds of hours into that new file, sure, but it was NEVER the same without Clay. Every time a villager moved out I hoped Clay would take their place, but it never happened. That lasted for a few years.
New Horizons eventually comes out, and people figure out how to hunt for their favorite villagers. Lo and behold, that became my number one goal with the game upon getting it: get Clay back. Every time a plot of land opened up I hoped he would fill it, and of course it never happened. I even resorted to start time traveling, which is something I don’t normally EVER do for AC games.
This has been my life with this game for the past (roughly) three years.
Until today.
My third NMT of the day, and I find my favorite brown hamster hiding in the trees.
Not to mention I find him at the end of a particularly shitty day for me.
When I say this is some TV show type shit I mean it LMAO
MY BOY IS HOME!!! AFTER THREE YEARS!!!

It’s midnight and I’m supposed to be writing a paper but all I can think about is the possibility of Neymar whipping out his “100% Jesus” headband one last time if Brazil wins the World Cup 🥲
