Sam is fucking done.
She moved to Gotham because fucking obviously she would. It even has the name "Goth" in it. She loves it, it's a crazy place; not as crazy as Amity, but crazy enough to stave off the homesickness.
She's actually met Ivy, and very nearly embarrassed herself asking for an autograph.
She loves Gotham.
It feels like she was always meant to be there; she's not out of place, she's not too violent for them, her grave humor is appreciated and her coworkers say she's the funniest person in office.
But there was one aspect of Gotham she was done with.
The fucking Bats landing on the fucking roof of her penthouse at three in the morning to chat. They stomped around, their voices kept waking her up (thanks liminally enhanced hearing!), and worst of all; they chipped one of the gargoyles that stood over her bedroom window with a grappling hook.
So she resorted to petty revenge. She voluntarily lost sleep to do it.
She hid on her own roof, and snapped pictures of the Bats nonstop. Of Batman specifically, since he'd started the whole vigilante thing with them and it was entirely his fault.
Then, she photoshopped the ears off of Batman's costume.
She posted them on a blog she forced Tucker to make her (secured, isolated, untraceable), wiped the metadata with a program also from Tucker, and uploaded them. Every night.
It gets addicting.
Soon, she's made it a hobby. She stays out and stalks the Big Bad Bat, taking unflattering photos of him and removing the ears in Photoshop, and posting them on the now very popular blog.
It comes to a head one night when Batman is being forced to choose between two of the Bats, the blue one and the short red one, and he's clearly actually distraught at the choice.
Fuck.
She's gonna have to get involved.

people are fcking wild lmao. calling me a fake activist for not supporting aquaman 2 because of amber turd, saying “you don’t support the pocs working on it”. have you actually watched my blog? do you know my life? i’ve been out there on social medias, supporting ray fisher the whole way through, on instagram, on twitter. i’ve been out there, supporting EVERY. SINGLE. ONE of jason momoa’s projects whether small or big: heck, i’ve paid for stupid apple tv just to watch “see” and i’m among the only 30 people on this website knowing about this show! i’m even gonna pay netflix again just to watch “sweet girl” in august, i watched frontier back when it came out, i watched red road, road to paloma (jason’s movies) and all- HECK I BOUGHT HIS SHOES because i 100% support everything he does for environment and to stop single use plastic. don’t go around and pretend wb doesn’t KNOW what they’re doing by keeping amber heard on aquaman 2: there literally IS a petition to have her fired, with TWO MILLIONS SIGNATURES on it. watch the youtube comment section on every video with her, every aquaman-video related on youtube: THE ONLY THING PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT about this movie (and these movies) is her and how they won’t support another movie with her, and people have voiced it pretty openly. tons of aquaman fans 100% support jason momoa and love him as aquaman, they loved patrick wilson, they loved yahya, and NONE of us want the movie not to exist: WE JUST WANT AMBER HEARD OUT OF IT. that’s the thing: you want to be an activist for the pocs of this movie? well get her out of it, because they will LOSE by having her on it, and neither wb nor amber heard herself will suffer because of it, it’ll be the pocs i’m supposedly not supporting who will suffer the most. for everything they’ve heard from the public, wb KNOWS amber heard is the problem and the only thing people are opposing regarding aquaman 2. nothing else. fans loved james wan’s version, prefered it to what even zack snyder’s showed for atlantis in justice league. fans loved jason’s version of aquaman, he’s got nothing but praise for it. fans all want to see more of black mantha and mostly regretted him not being properly exploited as a villain on the first movie (since y’know, i’m part of the fandom, i actually know that). so no, me, not supporting a studio that has chosen to stand their ground and to stand up for a racist/abusive/homophobic b*tch (and yes, she is homophobic, don’t come at me saying she can’t be because she’s bisexual, there are proofs) who can’t even come at some locations to work (ie: australia), at the expanse of ACTUAL POCS (who will lose a lot of money, maybe credibility for working with her) is not me being a fake activist. yes, amber heard is NOTHING in this movie(s), that’s why it could be so easy to replace her. she’s just there, playing pretty while the actual pocs of this movie carry the movie (jason, yahya, james; all doing an amazing job that already HAS been tarnished by amber heard- as seen again, through social medias and and such). and again, that’s not adressing how she LITERALLY bullied jason momoa through the whole press tour, mocked him and his character and oftentimes said mera was the main character and “the hero”????? (again, everything is out there, on this thing called the internet, do your own research): some examples, her playing the victim because jason “tore her book’s last page” and how her and her fans literally called him an abuser and toxic for doing so, trying to have him cancelled. how she and her mob LITERALLY cyberbullied zoe kravitz (aka jason’s step-daughter, and also a poc) for talking positively about johnny depp. not even gonna talk how she openly mocks johnny depp (let’s still talk about him, no matter what, you are still ignoring THE AUDIO TAPES where she admits to being an abuser- and the other audio tape where we actually hear people - witnesses to the scene - say she cut his fcking finger!) on social media and bullies him (or anyone who stands up against her; even australia’s prime minister, while SHE is the one who comitted a crime in this country!), how, again, we have PROOF that she’s a racist: faked her activism for black lives matter, refers to latinos as “maids”, uses the n-word. PROOF that she’s homophobic: mocking johnny depp for running to his bodyguard, saying he should shag him and such. PROOF and TESTIMONIES that she’s literally The Worst to work with. PROOF and TESTIMONIES that she ABUSED her assistant and stole her r*pe story for clout. PROOF that she used sick kids for clout and didn’t donate ANY money to charities, even tho she kept screaming at the top of her lungs that she did, only to gain popularity and play the selfless victim even more. remember how she became the spokeperson for dv victims, even tho she was charged back in 2009 for abusing her girlfriend? (and again, we have audio tapes where she argues the difference between punching and hitting her husband, while drugging him with xanax but ok) please, tell me again how much of a “fake activist” i am for not wanting to support that woman and the studio that keeps a blind eye to everything she’s done, to her loved ones (yknow, the actual footage that shows that whitney, aka amber’s sister had been beaten by amber), to the public eye, and to her colleagues on the set of aquaman itself?

Anime i’ve Watched
That begin with a B (Part 3)!
Yep this is how i’m going to bring over all the anime and manga i’ve watched and posted about on the old blog. It’s not so detailed but it will have to do. Anything new I watch or read from this point on will have their own posts.
Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia):
Genres: action, comedy, school, shounen, super power
Tumblr media
Synopsis: The appearance of "quirks," newly discovered super powers, has been steadily increasing over the years, with 80 percent of humanity possessing various abilities from manipulation of elements to shapeshifting. This leaves the remainder of the world completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is one such individual. Since he was a child, the ambitious middle schooler has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku's unfair fate leaves him admiring heroes and taking notes on them whenever he can. But it seems that his persistence has borne some fruit: Izuku meets the number one hero and his personal idol, All Might. All Might's quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku to be his successor! Enduring many months of grueling training, Izuku enrolls in UA High, a prestigious high school famous for its excellent hero training program, and this year's freshmen look especially promising. With his bizarre but talented classmates and the looming threat of a villainous organization, Izuku will soon learn what it really means to be a hero. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 10/10
Finished airing in 2016 with a total of 13 episodes.
My Thoughts: Perfection delivered in 13 episodes. What a beginning to an amazing series and honestly who doesn’t love a good underdog story full of heroes and villains? I know this girl sure does! Amazing cast of characters, story, music and art/ animation. A must see for fans of the superhero genre and a great place for fans of Western comics to start their anime journey in my personal opinion.
Boku no Hero Academia 2nd Season (My Hero Academia 2):
Genres: action, comedy, superpower, school, shounen
Tumblr media
Synopsis: At UA Academy, not even a violent attack can disrupt their most prestigious event: the school sports festival. Renowned across Japan, this festival is an opportunity for aspiring heroes to showcase their abilities, both to the public and potential recruiters.
However, the path to glory is never easy, especially for Izuku Midoriya—whose quirk possesses great raw power but is also cripplingly inefficient. Pitted against his talented classmates, such as the fire and ice wielding Shouto Todoroki, Izuku must utilize his sharp wits and master his surroundings to achieve victory and prove to the world his worth. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 10/10
Finished airing in 2017 with a total of 25 episodes.
My Thoughts: A second season that’s as good as its first?! Virtually unheard of but here you have it in the form of Boku no Hero Academia season 2! I just love this story and these characters even more with each passing season. A must watch for fans of the 1st season!
Boku no Hero Academia 3rd Season (My Hero Academia 3):
Genres: action, comedy, school, superpower, shounen
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  As summer arrives for the students at UA Academy, each of these superheroes-in-training puts in their best efforts to become renowned heroes. They head off to a forest training camp run by UA's pro heroes, where the students face one another in battle and go through dangerous tests, improving their abilities and pushing past their limits. However, their school trip is suddenly turned upside down when the League of Villains arrives, invading the camp with a mission to capture one of the students. Boku no Hero Academia 3rd Season follows Izuku "Deku" Midoriya, an ambitious student training to achieve his dream of becoming a hero similar to his role model—All Might. Being one of the students caught up amidst the chaos of the villain attack, Deku must take a stand with his classmates and fight for their survival. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 9/10
Finished airing in 2018 with a total of 25 episodes.
My Thoughts: I have no idea why season 3 lost a point but a 9/10 from me is basically perfection and all the praise so don’t let the point lower rating deter you from checking out this installment of the series. Suppose it’s time to watch the 4th season, eh?
Bonjour♪Koiaji Pâtisserie (Bonjour♪Sweet Love Patisserie):
Genres: slice of life, comedy, reverse harem, romance, shoujo, ONA
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  Sayuri Haruno dreams of becoming a pastry chef and enrolls in Fleurir Confectionary Academy, an elite school located in Tokyo's trendy Aoyama district. At Fleurir, she finds herself surrounded by charming boys, each one distinctly unique. Out of the entire class, Ryou Kouzuki's desire to become a pastry chef is the strongest. Blessed with unparalleled technique, instructor Mitsuki Aoi acts like a prince and is hugely popular at the school. Gilbert Hanafusa, the mood maker of the bunch, is a student from France. Yoshinosuke Suzumi is not very good at expressing his feelings, but underneath his stony exterior lies a wholehearted passion for wagashi (Japanese sweets).
As Sayuri pours her heart and soul into making her dream a reality, she encounters many happenings... (Source: NTV)
Tumblr media
My Rating: 6/10
An ONA that finished airing in 2015 with a total of 24, 5 minute episodes.
My Thoughts: A reverse harem style ONA featuring delicious looking treats... all brought to you in short 5 minute bites! As far as reverse harem animes go this really wasn’t all that bad but like most others in the genre (or look to fit the genre) there just wasn’t much deapth... though honestly what do you expect with 5 minute episodes?! Pretty male characters and lovely art.
Brothers Conflict:
Genres: reverse harem, romance, shoujo
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  Ema Hinata is a sweet girl with only her father to call family. One day, she learns that he will be remarrying Miwa Asahina, a wealthy fashion designer. Though she's glad she has a new place to call home, the family she gains is greater than she could ever imagine—Ema now has 13 step-brothers! Wishing to give her father space, she moves into the Sunrise Residence where her brothers live . As she settles in, Ema realizes she may not experience the loving kinship of a family that she has always longed for, as many of her new brothers exhibit feelings toward Ema that aren't just familial. With each brother desiring Ema's attention in his own way, will she be able to work toward a happy ending for all, or will she choose one brother that has stolen her heart? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 6/10
Finished airing in 2013 with a total of 12 episodes.
My Thoughts: And here we have yet another reverse harem... also not the worst of the worst but really nothing to write home about. Definitely uncomfortable with the whole step siblings premise so if you’re like me and weirded out by that one i’d avoid this anime. Aside from that there isn't really much to say. The story and characters are lacking but there’s a male character sure to fit every persons tastes so there’s that... I suppose?
Bungou Stray Dogs:
Genres: action, comedy, mystery, seinen, superpower, supernatural
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  For weeks, Atsushi Nakajima's orphanage has been plagued by a mystical tiger that only he seems to be aware of. Suspected to be behind the strange incidents, the 18-year-old is abruptly kicked out of the orphanage and left hungry, homeless, and wandering through the city. While starving on a riverbank, Atsushi saves a rather eccentric man named Osamu Dazai from drowning. Whimsical suicide enthusiast and supernatural detective, Dazai has been investigating the same tiger that has been terrorizing the boy. Together with Dazai's partner Doppo Kunikida, they solve the mystery, but its resolution leaves Atsushi in a tight spot. As various odd events take place, Atsushi is coerced into joining their firm of supernatural investigators, taking on unusual cases the police cannot handle, alongside his numerous enigmatic co-workers. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 7/10
Finished airing in 2016 with a total of 12 episodes.
My Thoughts: You know what? This is honestly one I truly wanted to love but for some reason it just wasn’t a fit. I know plenty of people that love this series and i’m afraid my own comments won’t do it much justice so if any of you guys have any thoughts or opinions to add be sure to send them my way! Love, love, love the art style.
Byousoku 5 Centimeter (5 Centimeters Per Second):
Genres: drama, romance, slice of life, film
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  What happens when two people love each other but just aren't meant to be together? Takaki Toono and Akari Shinohara are childhood friends, but circumstances beyond their control tear them apart. They promise to stay in contact, and although the progression of time widens the distance between them, the chain of memories remains ever-present. Byousoku 5 Centimeter is a romantic drama that focuses on the mundane and harsh reality of long-distance relationships. Stuck in the past and unable to make any new memories, Takaki and Akari cling to the hope of seeing each other again. They live their everyday lives half-heartedly, both hurting themselves and the people around them. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Tumblr media
My Rating: 7/10
A film (or three part) series that aired in 2007.
My Thoughts: The artwork and sound are outstanding but this one was another miss from me. After rave reviews I expected more and was a bit disappointed with what I got. This is all the more true considering I recall very little about this title.

Globalization and sports have always had and intertwined relationship whether it be the World Cup, Olympics or Soccer. However, one sport that is trying to make its way on the global scene is American Football. Through attempts to make americas biggest game global, we will dissect NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s efforts to make American football rival the other football on the global stage and its impacts. The most significant steps the NFL has made to globalize is the international series games they play every season in other countries. The games have taken place in 4 different countries not named the United States, those being Canada, Mexico and England. To establish a presence in London, the commissioners first target at a global game, the new Wembley Stadium was built with a retractable football field as the NFL has plans to host several games they're a year. It also serves as the most likely destination for any teams who decides to move from its current host city or a new team by as soon as 2022 (Shofner). The NFL has had a lot of success overseas as most to all games sell out and have been very popular with TV ratings as-well (Shofner). This has resulted in the spread of the game and more international players have entered the league such as notable stars Chase Claypool (Canadian), Jay Ajayi (England), Danielle Hunter (Jamica) and Nelson Algohor (Nigeria). The NFLs expansion is undoubtedly full of good things like economic gain, enjoyment of sport and also the chance to spread awareness of social justice movements the NFL is promoting to makeup for past injustices. Colin Kaepernick and the Black Lives Matter movement is a huge sore thumb for the NFL but they have worked their way into promoting social injustices with the league and reaching a global audience with this is a undeniable positive.

(CNN) Donald Trump is not coping well.
As he turned 74 last weekend, the oldest man ever to assume the presidency got all defensive about how he looked walking down a ramp at West Point. In truth, his slow-mo shuffle didn’t reveal anything that should embarrass a senior citizen. What was truly troubling was what Trump revealed the next day, when he shouted on Twitter: “THE SILENT MAJORITY IS STRONGER THAN EVER!!!”
The tweet harked back to Richard Nixon, who was president when the term “silent majority” was first used in 1969. It revealed how even in these troubled times, with the pandemic death toll passing 115,000 and citizens crying out for an end to police violence against minorities, the President is stuck in the past, out of step with a country that has changed practically overnight.
Some of the change is evident in the streets, where citizens of every race, religion, ethnicity and age group have joined a nationwide protest movement that recognizes police violence against African Americans and insists that Black Lives Matter. More proof of a changed society can be found in a recent Gallup poll that found four-in-10 support some aspects of socialism. Trump even seems to be losing the support of high-ranking military leaders as he refuses to consider renaming bases named for Confederate officers who waged war against the United States.
Trump is so incapable of adapting to change that he’s been lapped by NASCAR: It recently banned the Confederate flag, which has long been waved by fans at its tracks. Even the National Football League, which engaged in a long row with players who knelt to protest racial injustice as the National Anthem was played, has reversed field.
Locked in his increasingly isolated social and political views, Trump sticks to his old tricks, like calling on the “silent majority” because he’s apparently incapable of seeing modern America. For those who don’t remember, or never learned about the term’s origin, the “silent majority” was first invoked by President Nixon to argue that most Americans supported the war in Vietnam. In fact, polls done at the time showed that most believed the country’s involvement in Vietnam had been a mistake.
Similarly wrong was Nixon’s claim that his “majority” was silent. Pro-war Americans argued their side of things in political debates and kitchen-table discussions. They paraded and rallied, and a few would join in an organized attack — the Hard Hat Riot of 1970 — on anti-war activists.
If the phrase “silent majority” was so inaccurate, what about it would appeal to Trump? Well, it’s not that he was all for America’s war effort. As Trump told interviewer Piers Morgan he “was never a fan” of the war. It’s more likely that, as a marketing expert, the reality TV host who made “You’re fired!” his catch phrase loves the way that Nixon’s two-word term communicated so much to his political base. Nixon’s silent majority was, everyone knew, middle class, middle-aged, Christian, white and conservative, and they supported him.
As Trump leans on the term he reveals himself to be not only nostalgic, which is always a hazard for the aging, but a victim of another common problem among older folks: inflexibility. To be clear, this problem can afflict people of all ages, and it’s also true that many seniors possess nimble minds. However, Trump has long shown he is rigidly attached to a bygone era, and has demonstrated an inability to recognize change and adapt to it.
Take, for example, the political injury he suffered when he scheduled a rally for Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 19. As much of America knows, the date marks the annual Juneteenth celebration of African Americans’ emancipation. (The name derives from the day when Union forces notified slaves in Texas that they were free.) Long recognized in black communities, the celebration of Juneteenth has gained popularity in most corners of the nation. Last year the Republican National Committee marked the day with a proclamation.
Trump’s Senate ally Tim Scott has said the President didn’t understand the significance of Juneteenth (he changed the date of the rally when people pointed it out). This is a sign of a man living in an isolated past. So, too, is Trump’s selection of Tulsa for his campaign rally. Tulsa is the site of what has been called the worst racial massacre in US history. White mobs burned more than 1,000 black homes and businesses. Deaths were estimated at between 100 and 300.
For Trump to pick Tulsa, especially when the country is in the middle of coast-to-coast protests over police violence against black Americans, reflects either a colossal lack of awareness or monstrous cruelty.
The way Trump acts and speaks often makes him look like a mean old man. Take his administration’s decision to change the rules so health insurance companies can discriminate against transgender people.
Many larger insurers opposed the change, which was announced on Saturday. Two days later, the Supreme Court ruled that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination against gay and transgender people.
This Supreme Court is never on the leading edge of radical change, but even the justices seated on this court — six of whom qualify for Medicare — showed they understand America in a way that the president does not.
Our President’s inflexible mind is on display every time he calls out for “law and order” in response to civil rights protests that are overwhelmingly peaceful and supported by great majorities of Americans. (Perhaps Trump’s mind is stuck in the 60s.)
He did himself a similar disservice when during a recent press conference where he was questioned by female reporters he appeared to muse nostalgically about the days when women were meek and retiring.
Again, we must all recognize that Trump’s rigidity says nothing about all older people. (Follow the 84-year-old Dalai Lama on Twitter and you’ll see what I mean.) However, in the President’s case the inability to adapt does seem to be the sign of a man who is not aging well. He appears even more defensive and reactionary than he was when he was elected.
And like an out-of-touch founder of a business he’s no longer capable of running, he could do a whole lot of damage on his way out the door.

The R.R. Phenomena; A Summary and Addition - By Leon Rekjavik
Hello again, ladies, gents.
Epic-essay writer Leon Rekjavik is here again! Today, I just felt like posting more analysis on R.R.’s posts, because, they’ve quite clearly changed since the last time I wrote an analysis on R.R.
For those who have literally no idea who I am, a couple weeks ago, I wrote a long essay where I talked about R.R. in general, as a person, everything, and submitted it to the awesome ask-art-student-prussia blog here, because R.R. is only present here, seemingly. This was back when everyone kept doing those jokes on R.R.
Why do I even write this stuff about some random person who anonymously posts asks on this blog? I don’t know actually, I just feel like I NEED TO, for some reason. To serve some justice to this sweet, person…?
Anywho, now onto the analysis!
———————————————————————————————————
Initially when R.R. came to this blog, they were merely someone who posted these asks to this blog talking about how much they admired the work Mun uploaded onto this blog, but at the same time, talked about themselves in a self-deprecating manner.
Now, when I say “merely”, I don’t actually mean “merely”. When R.R. writes, it’s not just a random ask, they standout with the the things they submit. A lot of time and effort is put into each ask they put through, and they clearly care a lot for Mun as a person, as an artist, etc. There’s a poetic drive of admiration when they send something, yet they always seem to constantly try to remind everyone, that no, don’t see me- see Mun! See how beautiful their art is.
No one knows who R.R. is, which is a shame, but, I think it’s understandable. At this point in time, where a single R.R. post receives 35 notes on Tumblr, anyone who’d claim they are R.R. (even the real one) would immediately be shot down as a fake. Such a case were very prominent some weeks back, when a trashy meme started circling around the blog.
Other than R.R.’s writing prowess, there’s also the mystery of their identity, and that’s what the real interest is with R.R. Who are they? As mentioned in the previous analysis, R.R. loves this blog, clearly a lot, but wants to remain hidden due to their insecurities, however, at the same time, they want some way to be recognised. This is where the signature end to each R.R. post comes, “-R.R.”. This is their trademark, their way of showing the world, yes, I am R.R. and this is the post I send to you, Mun showing my love! In a purely platonic way, of course, or at least assume.
Unfortunately, being the Internet, the trashy-meme became very popular, with people claiming they were R.R., when they clearly weren’t. This wasn’t just a one-off incident. This lasted for several days, and even resulted with R.R. actually writing a post, where they said that they felt that their presence had caused Mun trouble. Now, remember, R.R. loves Mun, this blog, and everything with it. All this attention that had enshrouded R.R. wasn’t why R.R. even began putting posts out with their insignia. They didn’t want attention. They wanted to show their love to Mun and her art. Though, this had an entirely backfiring effect. Now Mun's blog was all about them.
So, R.R. decided to take LEAVE from the blog.
And tragically, this transpired literally right after the submitted an analysis that was made for people to understand R.R. better as a person and to back them up (nobody understands the crippling deprussian I went through, because of that. However, all this information is dumb and irrelevant, because no one cares about me lololol).
R.R. decided to take leave from this blog, because they felt that their love DAMAGED this blog and what it was made and known for to begin with. With this, the silence period began. No posts from R.R., not a sound. People began apologising profusely, some people even coming out from anonymity and saying they were sorry. The blog went back to how it originally was- an art-student Prussia blog. However, a lonely ache remained with those who knew about R.R.
This is a direct copy and past of what R.R. wrote in terms of leaving the blog, in two separate posts:
“I’m very sorry Gil, but this is the last ask I’ll submit. I’m afraid my presence has caused disruption to your blog. Those previous asks from yesterday were not mine. I won’t submit anymore asks after this one with my initials to avoid anymore trouble for you. For those saying I’m doing this for attention, I will probably never reveal my true identity out of fear. So you’ll never know who I am. Farewell, Gil. It was lovely sending asks those few times. I hope you’re successful with your blog.”
“-R.R. (I ran out of characters)”
You see, everyone who posts stuff on this blog either does an M/A! ask, or a question to Prussia or even Mun directly, or just saying stuff, and I quote, “I love this blog. Please have my babies.” No one, and I mean, no one, wrote the way R.R. did. They were special, people loved their pureness, and they missed it.
And then, it happened. R.R. RETURNED, and they returned in a manner worth bragging about, for centuries to come (I am not exaggerating).
“Perhaps one day, when time is nothing but the movement of leaves, and the sun’s died, there will be a moment of solace where everything is just everything, and nothing is just something. The next moment in ‘time’, they will not exist, but with lives so fleeting, even a moment is extensive enough. Their last words will be "thank you”, before they’re suffocated by heat and dust. Humanity’s falling grace would have echoes permeating light years away. -The one who left this blog, R.R.“
They came back, with POETRY. And it wasn’t just any poetry- it was MAJESTIC poetry, as you can see above. This piece got 31 notes- it is rare for an anonymous post with no picture underneath, no nothing from Mun, purely the anon, to get that many notes.
As if that’s not enough, R.R. returned, YET AGAIN!:
"Fatherland, o’ dear noble creature of war. From the moment of your creation, you struck the soil with the sword of your soul, sending tremors leagues away, notifying every breathing being of your presence. Your tenacious nature and valiant efforts bleed through history’s timeline, embedding itself over the course of countless lives. We shan’t forget your existence, for none would be here now without your cause for our effect. You will return to us again, one day, in solidarity. -R.R.”
Can I say I fanboyed/fangirled when I was this, as unprofessional as it is?
(and this is where leon rekjavik gives up on professionalism completely)
LOOK AT THIS FINE ART, MY FRIENDS. THAT IS LIFE IN IT’S PUREST AND R.R. IS GODLY POET. CAN WE JUST LOVE THIS HUMAN BEING, LIKE A LOT. YES, THIS IS THE ONE THAT 35 NOTES HOLY ****!
I honestly don’t care what gender, sexuality, species, ANYTHING you are {(unless you are secretly evil like that anon said;
“…-Anyways, from the very few asks they’ve posted, they seem cute, whether they’re boy or girl. And cute people don’t fake stuff unless they’re secretly evil (omg R.R. please be a pureroll).”}
I LOVE YOUR WORK!
(and this is where leon rekjavik gains their sanity again)
Excuse me for that.
Of course, the R.R. hype sort of came back, with people all but screaming in the ask-boxes about R.R.’s comeback, poetry prowess, just everything R.R. There were some sceptics, but that’s just the general Internet. Everything was back in the flow. Then, some people began to ask… questions. Like, what’s R.R.’s sexuality, what do you think R.R. looks like? I think R.R. is a boy/girl! No, they’re not a boy/girl, come fight me.
And then, R.R. replied, in the most sweetest, most serene way humanly possible:
“To those who wish to know my face, look away from hither, for you shall not find the answers you seek for. Whether I find myself interested in boys or girls is nothing special. For now, why not enjoy the sweet summer that rains down from the sky, for it only lasts a few months before it’s a memory again. Leave your homes and walk bare-foot on the grass, feel the wind on your face, hear the nature around you. We don’t know if we’ll have a future where such luxuries exist. -R.R.”
They have talent, and I don’t care what anyone says. Fight me.
This new era of R.R. is obviously a way of R.R. showing their love to this blog, by submitting a form of art, poetry! And Lord, does it compliment the blog so well with the was they weave the words…
——————————————————————————————————
I wanted to write more, but I can’t…
Anyways, that’s a summary/analysis/explanation thing for R.R., for now, from Leon Rekjavik!
I was thinking of actually making a master-post for the R.R. asks, if Mun would be okay with that. I’m just another visitor to this blog, who likes your work a lot, but I couldn’t help but notice the amount of times someone posted an ask asking who is R.R. It may help clear some things up, and just help the people catch up with the entire R.R. phenomena.
I don’t know why I do these, even now… mysteries are just so fun to look through I guess?
I’m sorry if this wasn’t written as nicely as the other one I did. This is a link to the previous one if anyone is interested, it explains everything R.R. to the point, like it’s a must read:
https://ask-art-student-prussia.tumblr.com/post/162708791482/the-case-of-rr-an-analysis-by-leon-rekjavik
I’m not doing this in any form of promotion or attention. If you look at my Tumblr, I literally have nothing in my posts. It’s because I just like looking for cool blogs like Mun's here, and don’t feel like posting anything I do personally.
I just want R.R. to be understood a bit better, that’s it. Also, I have a little too much spare time on my hands… (at the moment. Just wait for college to start).
I hoped you liked it.
Bye.
-Leon Rekjavik (it’s still not my real name, try finding me, stalker!)
P.S
Mun, please accept my humble submission! Don’t throw it in the reject pile!
how the fuck did you write all this what the hell oh m y hofdod?

"Celebrating community leaders bridging the digital divide"
Local leaders know their communities best, and this Black History Month we’re celebrating organizations across the country that help people gain new skills, find jobs and grow their businesses. Over the past year, through our Grow with Google initiative, we've worked with leaders and organizations in Black communities across the US who are helping to close the digital skills divide.
One of these standout organizations with deep community roots is the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. In the 1960s, the church worked tirelessly with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to expand voter registration, paving the way for Carl Stokes to become the first Black mayor of a major U.S. city. Today, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Jawanza Colvin, community activism and social justice remain at the heart of Olivet Church and its associated Olivet Housing & Community Development Corporation (OHCDC).
Cleveland has the second highest poverty rate among big cities in the U.S., so pathways to jobs is one of Rev. Colvin’s top priorities. Some members of his community and congregation are struggling to get access to good jobs and oftentimes don’t have the training required to change careers. To connect residents with the resources they need to compete for emerging information technology jobs in Cleveland, Rev. Colvin and OHCDC teamed up with Grow with Google to offer the IT Support Professional Certificate Program—an online curriculum designed to prepare people for roles in IT support. By creating cohorts of learners who are going through the IT Certificate curriculum together,  Reverend Colvin and the OHCDC are helping members of the Cleveland community prepare for jobs in a growing industry.
OHCDC is among many organizations who are helping their communities learn new digital skills to grow their careers and businesses. In Indianapolis, Larry Williams, President of the Indy Black Chamber of Commerce, is leveraging our tools and resources to teach local small businesses how to grow online. His first workshop was so popular that he’s continued to offer workshops to more than 100 business owners who are growing and creating more local economic opportunity. And in Columbia, South Carolina, JT McLawhorn—who leads the Columbia Urban League—used the Applied Digital Skills curriculum at their annual STEM careers summit, helping 400 teens in foster care prepare for summer jobs. The Columbia Urban League is now expanding these offerings across the state.
This year we launched the Grow with Google Partner Program to make sure that more community heroes like Reverend Colvin, Larry Williams and JT McLawhorn have access to free digital skill resources that help their communities thrive. We invite local heroes and organizations to learn more and apply at grow.google/partners. We look forward to continuing to support and celebrate the important work you’re leading in your communities.

Top 15 Superheroes part 3
First off some honorable mentions (not nearly enough though): Hulk, Iron Man, Wasp, Batman, Martian Manhunter, Supergirl, Black Panther, Vision, Beast, Professor X, Cyborg, Starfire, Firestorm, Groot, She-Hulk, Doctor Strange, Spawn, Hellboy, Rorschach.
3. Green Arrow (Oliver Queen)
Tumblr media
I fucking love this guy and many people’s exposure to him is from the CW show Arrow, and while that show is (mostly) fantastic, it isn’t an accurate representation of the character. In the comics and other media he is much more lighthearted and cracking jokes constantly. He is sometimes accused of being too similar to Batman which I completely disagree with as Oliver knows how to have fun, and his origin story involves him being stripped of everything and having to survive on his own. I love every second of him and Black Canary being together and as I said earlier they are my favorite superhero couple. Oliver is a lot more left wing than many of his fellow heroes and he adds a different perspective on what is right and wrong, for example Batman might just beat up a drug addict and Superman might just throw him in jail where as Green Arrow would try to help them with their addiction. In fact Green Arrow and Green Lantern were some of the first to deal with drugs in the crossover comics they had running at the time, dealing with Green Arrow’s sidekick having a heroin addiction. For great Green Arrow stuff check out the animated feature DC Showcase: Green Arrow, Justice League: Unlimited, and for comics Green Arrow: Rebirth, and the Injustice: Gods Among Us comics.
2. Superman
Tumblr media
The first comic book superhero and the one that every other superhero has taken inspiration from in some way, the Man of Tomorrow has survived publisher shake ups, retcons, accusations of being part of the moral decay of society (Fredric Wertham was an idiot), copyright law almost splitting him in two, and an ever changing pop culture and remains one of the most popular characters in all of fiction. He takes on everything from universe destroying beings, planet destroying aliens, giant robots, evil billionaires, and slum lords;  no problem is too big for him to tackle or too small to be beneath him. The Man of Steel may have godlike power, but while some say that makes him uninteresting I say that is part of what makes him such a great character; his struggle to always remain moral and a beacon of hope to all of us. Superman is who everyone in the DC universe looks up to for a moral compass. He is the person we all look up to, striving to be better people and always do the right thing. For great Superman stuff watch The Death of Superman (2018), Allstar Superman, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. For some of his best comics read All-Star Superman, Superman: Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? and Superman/Batman” Public Enemies.
1. Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
Tumblr media
Yeah super shocking based on my header and icon right? Superman is the moral symbol of hope we all look up to and wish to be, but Spider-Man is the flawed, self-conscious, awkward person we all are. He is still moral and striving to do the right thing, but he struggles and makes mistakes along the way. He’s been my favorite fictional character from as far back as I can remember and I have never identified with a character more. His quips and one-liners kill me, and I’m so glad the newer films allow him to be funny. He is nerdy, and awkward, and struggles to pay rent, and keep relationships, and he just does the best he can; which all anyone can do. He’s funny, charming, intelligent, goofy, and incredibly self-sacrificing. He’s one of the characters in comics that’s been allowed to grow most, from his awkward teenage start to his college years where he could never balance his life, then a short lived carrier as a college professor and now to head of Parker Industries and a mentor to a new Spider-Man, Peter has been through a lot and grown so much. I also love his many different costume changes, though his first is such an amazing design that its been pretty much unchanged for over 55 years. His best stories aren’t him just being stronger than some villain of the weak and beating them up, but getting his ass kicked, going home and figuring out some scientific or emotional way to defeat his enemy and coming back from it learning something about himself. Most of his villains have some personal connection with him, some kind of friend or mentor usually and I love the emotional heart that brings to his stories, characters like the Lizard where he doesn’t want to hurt him because he knows there is still a good man inside that monster that needs to be saved. The black suit arcs are some of my favorite because of his struggle with his dark side and not just some bland “oh he’s evil because he’s mad” crap; but frustration at his life, work, money, superhero life, and not using his powers for personal gain; all leading to the creation of one of my all time favorite villains who eventually grew and became a hero in his own right, though Venom struggles a lot more than Spider-Man with that. I think if more people lived up to Spidey’s philosophy of responsibility and not giving in to greed or ego, the world would be a much better place. For spectacular Spider-Man reading check out: The Death of Captain Stacy, Spider-Man No More, Spider-Man: Blue, The Night Gwen Stacy Died, Spider-Verse, and Spider-Men (there are a lot more but this list is getting long)For superior Spider-Man stories in animation check out the 90′s Spider-Man series, Spectacular Spider-Man and the Into the Spiderverse movie coming out soon
I made this list first because these are characters that have shaped who I am as a person the most, influenced me and who I want to be as a person. I’ve grown up with these characters and the stories told about them have helped influence almost every aspect of who I am, from my taste in music, writing, tv, film, to the decisions I make in my every day life, to who I strive to be as a person. I created this blog to share my love of these and other characters, and if just one person can look at something in these posts and go “wow that looks interesting, I should read/watch that” I think my time and effort will be worth it.

A Guide to Kid’s Shows
Parenting is a big deal - this is the understatement of the year, decade, century and of all measurable existence. With parenting there is a lot of knowledge to be gained. Some of that knowledge will come from experience, some will come from our own parental figures and the rest will be gained from the internet. Allow me to be a part of the latter source and impart to you one of the most crucial digital tomes of enlightenment you will ever come across…
A Guide to Kid’s Shows!
You think I’m being silly, but in all my years as a graphic designer, there’s one rule that always rings true and strangely enough, applies to what shows you let your kids watch: If you’re presenting a client with options, never give them an option that you hate - Because that is the one option they will love.
Now excluding all of your dumb friends on Facebook and Instagram who do nothing but brag about how their kids never have screen time and they’re always posting happy family pictures of them in parks and on hikes and eating granola out of troughs in some remote Vermont location, the rest of us know that screens are your only hope of keeping your wound up, bratty kids occupied long enough so you can take a 5 minute dump without having to run out of the bathroom mid-wipe with your pants around your ankles to yell at your little ‘angels’ who can’t agree on what color lego castle they’re going to build without slapping each other around like a couple of town drunks. Run-on sentence? Maybe, but it’s just what I’m used to listening to all day in a house where we’ve been attempting to reduce screen time.
Anyway, like I was saying - screens good, noise bad. But this approach can very quickly backfire on you if you’re not careful. Remember, the purpose of television is to keep your kids quiet, but what’s the point of your kids being quiet when you’ve hastily picked the first colorful show you could find and now you’re listening to 4 grown Australians singing about what it’s like to be a Jack-in-the-Box??
EDUCATE YOURSELF! Sanity is on the line!
Because there’s a million shows out there to get suckered into, I’ll just go over 2 for now, a bad one and a tolerable one. I might make this into a series I do… I’ve got 5 years worth of children’s programming eating away at my brain, I might as well write about it.
DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD
Tumblr media
Remember all those fond memories you had watching Mr. Rogers Neighborhood growing up? The soothing voice and welcoming face of a man everybody wished was their grandfather serenading you while he puts on a colorful sweater and brings you to a magical land of make-believe? … Yeah, he’s dead now and all we’re left with is this oversaturated, poorly animated bastardization of a children’s classic.
Daniel Tiger takes place in the infamous Land of Make-Believe and it stars the son of Daniel Stripéd Tiger (also named Daniel) as he learns how to not be such an obnoxious, spoiled twerp. The show takes some liberties with the classic content. Daniel Tiger’s dad, whom the show refers to as “Dad Tiger” is the grown up version of the Mr Rogers’ character Daniel Stripéd Tiger - who if any of us remember, was a shy, softly spoken kitten who lived in a handless clock tower. Evidently he’s gained some confidence, learned to talk like a man and got himself a wife and kid. Now he lives in an actual house and works at the clock tower doing who knows what – the clock has no hands, what could he possibly be doing in there? I can only imagine it involves lipstick and a skin-suit.
Tumblr media
The majority of the other characters from Mr Rogers are all grown up now as well and have annoying kids of their own for Daniel to barely get along with… Except for the mailman who evidently never ages and is cursed to live alone for the rest of his immortal days. The only original character who I haven’t seen make an appearance is Lady Elaine Fairchild, and for what it’s worth, excluding her was probably a smart move - her puppet was made of tears and nightmares.
Why you should avoid: 🎶 Would you like to know why you shouldn’t watch?🎶
🎶 Would you like to know why you shouldn’t watch?🎶
🎶 Would you like to know why you shouldn’t watch?🎶
🎶 Would you like to know why you shouldn’t watch?🎶
Do you hate me yet? …
🎶 Do you hate me yet?🎶
🎶 Do you hate me yet?🎶
🎶 Do you hate me yet?🎶
Yeah, this is the number one reason you should NEVER PLAY THIS ON YOUR TV. They pick a crappy jingle about some common sense thing, like brushing your teeth, and then they sing it OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER AGAIN. I still have episodes burned into my brain from overexposure to that show. One song in particular was just a bold-faced lie. “Grown ups come back”... As in if you’re upset about your mom or dad leaving the house, don’t worry, grown ups always come back!
Except when they don’t.
In addition to the repetitiveness of poorly written songs, the main reason this show will get on your nerves is because Daniel Tiger is literally the cartoon equivalent of a real-life toddler. It sounds mean to say, but think about every cringe-worthy, obnoxious thing your kids do, now imagine having to watch an entire television show where your main character does exactly those things. The whole reason you’re letting them watch TV in the first place is to escape the harsh but undeniable reality that toddlers are the worst!
Now, granted, the point of the show is to teach your kids that everything they do is irritating and they should just stop, but would it kill the producers to use a hint of metaphor? Perhaps a whimsical, make-believe anecdote that teaches a similar lesson? This is the land of make-believe isn’t it?? Why is it so freaking real???
Luckily there’s another magical place that your kids can scramble their brains to that gets it right…
SUPER WHY!
Tumblr media
I’m not going to pretend that Super Why! is a good show (children’s entertainment is rarely, if ever, capable of reaching that standard), but it is an incredibly harmless show - which is the most any burnt out parent can really hope for.
As I alluded to a moment ago, the show takes place in the magical land of Storybook Village, a place where all of our favorite fairytale characters live together in harmony. It exists behind some tiny door inside of a real-life children’s library on a shelf that I imagine kids can’t reach because you know if they found out about that door they’d burn that library to the ground to get at it. I always knew I’d find a way to write about kids burning books like a bunch of little fascists. Shark jumped.
Similar to Daniel Tiger, some of our main characters are relatives of more popular characters from children’s stories. Our title character, Whyatt Beanstalk (AKA Super Why) is the brother of Jack Beanstalk from Jack and the Beanstalk... who I’m pretty sure never actually had Beanstalk for a name. Our other characters consist of Princess Pea, who is the daughter of the princess from The Princess and the Pea (who must be a queen now?), Alpha Pig, who I think is one of the 3 little pigs, and Little Red Riding Hood.
Clearly somebody was drunk when they came up with this cast. Why have the brother of Jack and the daughter of Princess Pea, but then just throw in the actual characters of Little Red Riding Hood and one of the 3 Little Pigs? Just use Jack and the original Princess! It makes no sense, I don’t like it.
They eventually get a dog named Woofster who joins their little brat Justice League. He offers nothing to the show and his name is dumb. Let’s just get a cat on the show and name him Meowey while we’re at it.
… Come to think of it, if they could get a wisecracking cat named Meowey Mandel that’d be PHENOMENAL on so many levels. I’m writing to PBS after this.
Anyway, they all have special reading powers which they use to solve mysteries. The basic setup of every episode is one of them has a problem, they’re too dumb to figure out how to deal with said problem, so they transform into superheroes and journey into fairytale books where they solve a mystery and then apply what they learned to their insignificant real-life situation.
Super Why has the power to read, Princess Pea has spelling power, Red Hood has word power, Alpha Pig has Alphabet power and Woofster uses a dictionary. Based on those powers, it sounds to me like they all have the power to read. Why waste money animating 5 of these stupid characters? Scrap 4 of them and put that budget into better writers.
Why it’s tolerable Ignoring the fact I’ve done nothing but pick on this show, it actually won’t really bother you. Everything that annoys me is annoying because I’ve made the mistake of paying attention. You should NEVER pay attention to what your kids are watching. I see no flaws in that advice.
It's a cute show. The jingles are catchy enough, the characters don’t act like bratty kids, and from a visual perspective it’s not offensive to the eyes (I’m looking at you, Bo on the Go… I could write 50 blogs about that Canadian abomination). The show is mostly CG, but when they go into the storybooks, all the people and objects are flat like they were made out of paper. It’s actually pretty creative. Well played, Super Why.
It’s made by the people behind Blue’s Clues (Which I had hoped would have died horrible, embarrassing deaths by now, but alas, they’re still at it) and so there’s that element of characters talking to the viewers and asking them if they see items on the screen. I mean whatever, it engages your kids, but the adult in me is just like, “It’s right behind you. Turn around and look, you’ve got 4 other useless characters with the same superpowers wandering around the screen, why are you bothering my kids?” Before you know it my kids are yelling at the TV, I’m yelling at the TV and Super Why still isn’t turning the eff around! But while my boys are having a blast trying to help Super Why, I’m just getting ticked off and want to punch him in his little kid nuts.
I guess TV won’t give you any peace and quiet after all. Take your kids on a hike.

This Means War
by Niharika Rawat Pink Freud, October 2017
As someone who runs a popular culture/psychology-hybrid blog, hilariously called Pink Freud, you can assume that I know something about both. As it happens, I indeed do (and I don’t just research a topic on Google one hour before submitting it. Nope, never happens. Not at all) and I engage in frequent discussions about it. Even when I am not, I am one of those people who will scroll to the very top of a Tumblr thread or Facebook comment feed to see what everyone has to say (or scream).
Tumblr media
Being as I am a connoisseur of popular culture, I often follow developments in certain fandoms closely, and see how both the general public and the fans react to it. And if you are even a little aware about fandoms, you know exactly where this is going.
My very first article had been about how we fans defend our favourites to death, even when there is something problematic with them. That is natural. In the most commonsensical and psychological terms, we get attached to the things we like, and we see them as representing ourselves. So of course, we will defend them. But sometimes, we maintain this positive bias by bringing down other fandoms. And by bringing down I mean a WWE Friday Night Royal Smackdown with all that cage and ladder shit thrown it.
Yep, things get ugly.
Korean music, or K-Pop as it is called, still continues to be somewhat niche, despite the fact that its global popularity has changed the game for its country of origin and the artists it produces. Korean fans are known for their loyalty and involvement, seen in their customized fandom names, official sites, specialized merchandize and the flurry of voting-based awards that their stans win. But anyone who knows anything more than the horse dance to Gangnam Style also knows that in the small by-lanes of Tumblr threads and Korean news sources, all hell breaks lose, and things often get personal.
The YG Entertainment girl group 2NE1 broke up in 2016 after turbulent times that enveloped all members in problems and scandals. Just a few months before this disbandment, another four member girl group had debuted under the YG banner, noticeably similar in music and style to 2NE1. You can guess what happened. For the first half of 2017, the internet was full of loyal ‘blackjacks’ (2NE1 supporters) criticizing this new group Blackpink for either copying their girls, or for not being enough like them, and saying that the Blackpink girls had it easy as compared to 2NE1, which had debuted at a time Korean music was limited to Asia and in fact had a strong role in bringing it to the global stage. Many felt that the Blackpink girls were walking the easy path toiled by their elder sisters.

Blackpink fans retaliated in kind, and more with facts than accusations. A musical group often has little to no control over their music and concepts, and if there are similarities, it had more to do with YG using a tried-and-tested formula to gain some quick profit. But that has not stopped the comparisons, insults, and skirmishes that occasionally break out over the internet.
If all this Korean talk is perhaps too niche for you, there is a classic Western debate that you can easily indulge in – Marvel vs. DC. The establishment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe has brought this war into the forefront, as now even non-comic book readers can have an input. The fact that Marvel has released a string of smash hits while DC movies struggle between blockbuster status and critical reviews does not help the fight either. Hence, the Marvel fandom uses its Rotten Tomatoes scorings and box office collections, while DC calls into its defence its almost equal rankings, the fact that the critical consensus did not mean that the general public did not like the movie, and the small detail that their worst movie won an Oscar, making it more than what Marvel has. (Seriously. Suicide Squad has an Oscar.) But redemptive goddess Wonder Woman has changed the scene, and Justice League may be the tipping point that evens the scales.
Tumblr media
But does that stop the fandoms? Nooo. Just try checking out any new trailer for an upcoming DC or Marvel movie. You will always find comments and entire conversations comparing both companies using every possible scale devised by man (and woman). And then there will be the one person saying ‘Why can I not enjoy both?’
Even I ask the same question sometimes, random commenter. And the fact is, you can. In fact, most do. It is only when they see the other thing or listen to the other thing that they make a case for their own side. And if they give inputs without considering the other side, well, that input is worth zero. I really don’t know what makes people fight for their stans and fandoms, apart from the commonsense idea I said above. Even as a BTS fan, I am not a part of the ARMY that goes marching down everywhere to wreck havoc. I understand liking your own things, but to put your time and energy into hating someone else’s likes is a concept beyond me.
But then again, I do fight everyone who says 50 Shades is a good book, so maybe I’m not that much of a level-headed fangirl after all.
