Finished the second half of KPWT!!!! Once again in no particular order.

Would it have killed them to fix the subtitles before releasing the rerun tickets??? Like seriously, I thought youtube subs could be iffy, but these were…special. They could have held off on letting people do the rerun viewings long enough for them to fix the timing and the quality. Yeah, live subtitling is super labor intensive…but afterwards…you get to pause and rewind to make sure you’ve got it correctly.

Anyway. The Minor family thing was entertaining. I would probably strain something in my back if I had to do flips in the air. It’d be fun…but yeah…I’m not nearly as athletic as Bible.

Build playing the saxophone amused me to no end.

I’m excited for the MileApo flick and hopefully they plunk it on iqiyi or something so I can support BOC with my watching.

I’m very impressed at how many parents were there…because if mine were at such an event…I’d change my name and move to the Southern hemisphere.

I must give JJ’s arms and shoulders an honorable mention because he has obviously worked hard on them. I certainly would not want to get tackled by him.

I snickered when I saw how tall the heels on Jeff’s boots were during the final…clubbing moment…or whatever we are calling it. Finale of some sort. Anyway…Jeff is tiny and Barcode is definitely taller than him and I am delighted. I say this as if Jeff isn’t possibly taller than me by a couple inches. Crap. I’m gonna have to look that up. Anyway, Jeff is all the gender in a pint sized package. Except for where he’s still probably above average height.

Ahem. Lovely experience, would watch again if they fixed the subtitles.

went down the rabbit hole on YouTube of other black ppl who are aromantics, virgins, never dated, etc. and I’m sitting here cheesing so hard bc I’ve never felt so validated. Like it’s not something I’ve ever felt ashamed or bad about and I’ve never had the desire to lose the ‘v card’ or be in a relationship but I feel like sometimes it’s hard to talk to other people about who aren’t and it’s just reaaaally nice to see other people that look like you sharing the same experience.

Watched someone streaming and responding to the newest James Somerton apology video, because I need a filter between me and Somerton's whiny excuses, and it's funny how much the apology video played out exactly like hbomberguy predicted, even with Somerton acknowledging he watched the "Plagiarism and You(Tube)" video! Somerton clearly skipped over the beginning with Filip, where the plagiarist's apology playbook is laid out.

"A thing *happened* because of magical forces out of my control, and I was stressed because of x, y, and z, and I never meant to hurt anyone (ignoring the fact this went on for literal years with no remorse shown at any point before the callout), and there were DEATH THREATS after I was exposed (pivoting to being the victim, as well as ignoring the harassment he unleashed on his detractors), and all I've ever wanted was to make content, please let me make more content, pleeeease. 🥺"

I sincerely hope no one fell for this sob story, though I'm sure there were people who haven't seen the callout and will swallow these lies. But it really smacks of playing the victim while pretending to own up to your "mistakes". Can you even call them mistakes when it appears his entire career hinged on stealing? Can he actually write an original script?

Curious though I may be, I don't trust Somerton further than I can throw him, he's truly a con artist trying to save his reputation at this point.

This isn't even touching on the insane claims that having ADHD/epilepsy/a prior traumatic brain injury can make it so you forget you did plagiarism. Like. My god.

I think Krystal with a K is such a good framing device for steeplechase though, like Justin talked about her role in the story during the closing episode, but the example that sticks in my head is when during the Gutter City heist she talks about the brand new mosaic tile flooring in one of the bathrooms, gushing about how the artist came out of retirement just to make this one last masterpiece—and my immediate reaction was “oh they’re going to absolutely wreck this one bathroom in particular aren’t they”

Just watching how Ramon acts with sunny you can see how much he cares for her he doesn't want her to go through all of the things he has (even though she and the other new eggs probably went through some stuff on egg island) like all that kid wants is for his family to be safe and now this with forever threatening all the eggs he must be more scared than ever there's only so much he can do to protect her from that gun
