I just realized it's them. Eddie, the Reader, and my kids.
It would be funny if they were watching the movie and Eddie teases them that they look like kittens and some say it's actually them as a family.
Tumblr media
I needed to write this. Was very compelled to write about Eliza making everyone watch this movie lol. I hope you like what my crazy brain came up with!
Previously talked about on this ask too 😻
Words: 1.4k
[As You Wish masterlist]
Tumblr media
Family movie nights have become rarer as the boys have gotten older, but the tradition hasn’t been altogether lost. Once in a while you can wrangle the boys down for an evening of snacks and family bonding.
Luke is laid out on the floor as per usual, on his stomach and pounding down Doritos and Mountain Dew like a man starved, not a 14-year-old boy who just had three large helpings of baked ziti not an hour ago. Ryan occupies the La-Z-Boy lounger that is effectively known as Wayne’s chair, it being the older man’s favorite spot in the household. The older Munson brother’s attention is currently half on the movie and half on the girl he likes at school.
Eliza is sitting cozy on the couch between you and Eddie. At some point during the movie, she’ll end up snuggled against either you or her father, but right now she’s content enough to sit on her own, her pink unicorn blanket spread out over her lap and little legs.
Eddie is slouched against an arm of the couch but has his arm draped along top, the tips of his fingers just barely able to brush over the back of your neck. So, of course, that’s what he’s been doing since the movie started. You sit hip to hip with your daughter, a bowl of popcorn balanced on your thigh that she and you keep taking kernels from.
As the song Everybody Wants to Be a Cat ends, Eddie smiles to himself. He sees his children in all three of the troublemaking kittens that were just singing and dancing around on screen.
Ryan notices and raises an eyebrow at his father. “The singing cartoon cats making ya happy, Dad?”
Eddie rolls his eyes and flicks a pretzel in his eldest child’s direction.
“No, smartass. I was just thinking how they remind me of you guys.”
Luke rolls on his side so he can look at his dad over his shoulder.
“Did I grow a tail I wasn’t aware of? I’d like to think you’d keep me updated on that kind of thing, Dad.”
“You’re the little wiseass cat,” Eddie says, gesturing to the screen with his chin. “The orange one that tries to act all tough.”
“Toulouse,” Eliza says, as if her father should’ve known his name and it offends her that he didn’t.
“And he’s the one who’s most like the dad,” you point out with a shrug. It’s no secret that Luke is basically Eddie’s twin.
“He’s not their dad!” Eliza says with a small huff. Her parents are disappointing her with their Disney knowledge tonight.
“My point still stands,” you say before pressing a kiss to the top of your daughter’s head.
Luke shoves another handful of Doritos in his mouth and goes back to looking at the screen.
“I’m not a ginger,” Luke says, though with his mouth being full it sounded more like, “M’not a jinjuh.”
“Who’s he?” Eliza asks as she points to the black and white cat on the screen.
“I thought you knew all the names,” Eddie says. Eliza rolls her eyes, looking identical to her father as she does it.
“No. Luke is Toulouse so who Berlioz?”
“Oh, okay,” Eddie says now that his daughter has cleared up his confusion. “Definitely Ryan. He’s the quietest one but he can still be mischievous.”
“Silent but deadly,” Ryan says.
“Like his farts,” Luke adds, making Eliza giggle.
“Who me?” Eliza asks, looking up at her father with the same big brown eyes that she inherited from him.
“Marie, of course,” Eddie says as he musses her curls. That name he knows by now. “You’re the spoiled, pampered, sweet girl of the gang.”
The word “sweet” doesn’t seem to matter to Eliza, only focusing on the first two. Her little round face pinches up in a frown; her brows coming together over her dark eyes and her lips forming into a puckering pout. You try, and almost fail, to contain your laughter as your daughter stares at your husband with the cutest menacing look you’ve ever seen.
“What?” Eddie asks when she doesn’t look away.
“Not a spoiled kitty,” she says.
“You asked!” Eddie scrunches up his face and sticks his tongue out at her. She does the same in return, proving that your husband is as mature as a three-year-old.
Luke finishes the Doritos in his mouth and wipes his cheesy hands off on his White Sox shirt.
“You know, I think our whole family is like theirs,” he muses.
“What?” Ryan asks. By the tone of his voice it sounds like he’s over everyone talking and just wants to watch the movie in silence again.
“Yeah,” Luke says and gestures to the screen in front of him. “Stray, scruffy alley cat gets the pretty, sophisticated girl that’s out of his league?”
As unsubtly as possible, Luke jerks his head back towards you and Eddie on the couch.
“Hey!” you pout. “That’s not true.”
“Pretty much is,” Eddie admits with a laugh.
You move to scoot closer to your husband, little Eliza getting caught in the middle. The small girl hisses like a cat when she gets squished between her parents.
“Jesus,” Ryan groans as he rubs a hand over his eyes. Any form of overt affection between you and your husband has been annoying the teen boy lately. Eddie finds it amusing and whenever the two of you are alone your husband quietly surmises to you that your son is more annoyed by the fact that he can’t express the same sort of affections to the girl he likes. It makes sense since Ryan has always been one to express his love physically with hugs and such.
Now, Eddie presses a smacking kiss to the side of your head—almost to spite Ryan’s attitude—
before looking down at your daughter squeezed between the two of you.
“I think you even look like a kitty!” he tells her.
Eliza pushes her way to her feet on the couch with a huff. Watching her trying to stand in the cramped space has you tucking in your lips to avoid laughing. Once up, Eliza shoves at her dad’s shoulder as she’s seen her brothers do to one another many times.
“My little kitty!” Eddie teases, finding her reaction comical. He snatches Eliza and holds her in his lap as he tries to press kisses all over her face. Stubble scratches and rubs against Eliza’s soft skin, making her squeal and wiggle around in Eddie’s grip.
“If we’re all cats, do you think another family will adopt me?” Ryan asks in a sullen adolescent tone.
“No,” Luke answers simply. Thank God he hasn’t become a brooding, moody teenager—yet, anyway.
Eliza manages to slip free from her father’s grip and runs over to jump on Ryan’s lap.
“Save me!” she wails.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got ya,” Ryan says as she snuggles into his lap, tucking her head beneath her eldest brother’s chin.
Eddie takes advantage of the newly empty space between you, and he pulls you flush up against his side. You give Eddie a soft kiss before laying your head on his shoulder.
“Ick,” Eliza complains, looking over at you on the couch.
“Yeah, ick,” Ryan echoes.
“Wasn’t he the one who wanted us to have a baby practically as soon as we got together? Now he thinks it’s gross that I kiss you,” Eddie says softly to you, but not soft enough that Luke didn’t hear.
“Yeah, but now we got what we wanted,” Luke says with a shrug.
“Maybe now you guys can get fixed,” Ryan says with a smirk.
Eddie opens his mouth to retort but Eliza holds her arms in the air, an immediate call for silence.
“Shhhh! This good part!”
She snuggles back against her big brother, who sticks his tongue out at his dad.
Casually, Eddie wraps his arm around your back so he can flip his oldest son the bird without Eliza seeing. Ryan just laughs and goes back to watching the movie, curious to see what’s so special about this part. The sixteen-year-old’s laughter brings a smile to your face. You haven’t heard it as often as you’d like to lately.
After Eddie situates his arm around your shoulders, you snuggle up to him and drape Eliza’s unicorn blanket over your lap. The Disney movie is not as enticing to you as your husband is, so you press a kiss just below Eddie’s ear before whispering to him.
“I love our kittens. No matter how ferocious they like to pretend they are.”
Eddie chuckles his agreement.
“The cutest little feral monsters around.”

I Know The End — Nico Hischier
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary; In which a rumor started turns into you staring the end of your lifelong dream in the eye
Content Warnings: Blackmail, false accusations of assault, mentions of cancer, mentions of blood, mentions of suicidal thoughts, mentions of death during childbirth, angst, Jack & Luke Hughes acting out of character, pick me fem oc(Julia), Nico being caught in the crossfire, inaccuracies of being banned from the NHL, female NHL player
Pairing: Nico Hischier & Fem Reader
You had always loved hockey, your father held the highest pride in his only daughter enjoying his favorite sport. He’d played hockey briefly for a professional team in Germany when you were really young. So it didn’t come as a surprise to him when you decided you wanted to play hockey as well. He was reserved to let you play, your mother had died a few years earlier. She died during childbirth with your younger brother, Vincent and your dad didn’t want to lose you too. But reluctantly he agreed to let you play, because he saw how much you loved it.
So you played hockey from your seventh year in school and you eventually made it onto the Professional Women’s League’s Boston team for about a year and a half. But that wasn’t where you heart was. Your father had encouraged you to go for the NHL, but he didn’t make it to your draft. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had stopped responding to treatment just weeks before the draft was scheduled. He had passed away the night before you were drafted by the New Jersey Devils.
You knew before you were drafted that playing on a team with a bunch of guys wouldn’t be easy. You knew that you would find yourself the brunt of the jokes and facing a lot of hazing from the men. But you didn’t mind it, as long as you got to do what you loved you didn’t mind if the men who were on your team hated you and the idea of you being there. As time progressed only one of the players really seemed to be okay with your presence, Nico seemed to enjoy being around you. Whenever the team won and would go out to celebrate Nico always kindly extended the invitation to you, knowing the other guys weren’t.
You rarely accepted but whenever you did you found yourself enjoying the time spent with Nico and occasionally the other players when they were in decent enough moods to tolerate you. So it wasn’t a surprise when you and Nico wound up intertwined in each other and eventually became a couple. But that never would have worked out, not in a million years. So you and him broke up and within a month he was already seeing someone new. Her name was Julia, and you liked her enough. She was smart and kind. But if you knew then that she would be the reason your in the position you are you would have never spoken to her.
You were leaned against the boards untaping your stick after practice when your head coach Lindy Ruff approached you, “I need to see you in my office now.” You were taken aback by the urgency in his tone as you could feel eyes on you. You frowned slightly as you made your way to his office. You raised an eyebrow as you walked into a room full of men, you were used to it so you sat down and waited as an uncertain feeling loomed over your head.
Coach Ruff spoke ever so gently, as if he was scared of your reaction to the news he had, “I’m sure you know Comissioner Gary Bettman, Director of Officiating Stephen Walkom, Security Officer Miles Anderson and this is attorney Leslie Ryans.” You furrowed an eyebrow further growing confused, “What’s going on coach?” Coach Ruff blew out a deep breath, “Over the past 2 days a lot of rumors have been circulating regarding you and some unacceptable behavior.” You frowned, “I haven’t seen anything, what are you referring to?”
Coach Ruff slid a folder across the desk and you stared at the papers inside. It was printed out screenshots from a Twitter account. The tweet was from Nico’s current girlfriend, Julia. It went in depth of an alleged assault she experienced because at your hands because you were jealous of her and her relationship with Nico. You frowned as you shut the folder and dropped it on the desk, “Coach you don’t seriously believe I could do that, do you?”
Coach Ruff shook his head, “This was not the decision made by just me Y/N. This was all the coaching staff here’s decision. Along with Director Walkom. But most importantly this was Commissioner Bettman’s decision. It looks bad for the organization. I’m sorry but the only choice I have is to remove you from my roster and tell you that you are barred from the team and the NHL as a whole for the foreseeable future.”
You shook your head as you stood up, feeling your voice raise, “This is unfair to me. You all just sat behind a closed door and unanimously decided that my career and my reputation were worthless while you believed baseless claims about me that have nothing to back them up?” You ran a hand over your damp cheeks, “How the hell is this fair to me?”
Coach Ruff shook his head, “It’s out of my hands. Pack your stuff.” You shook your head, “How can you do this to me? To reach deep inside of me and pull out everything I have ever worked for and throw it on the ground so carelessly? I resent it.”
A sob wracked through your chest as you took a deep breath, “This is bullshit. I shouldn’t have left Germany, I can’t believe your taking the last piece of my dad away from me. I resent that and I resent you all for that.” You opened the door to the office and were met with Nico, Jack and Luke sporting solemn expressions. Your eyes were bloodshot and stained with tears.
You walked past them and began to empty the contents of your locker. Nico spoke quietly, “Are you okay?” You glared at him as you dropped some of you items into the box, “Like you care.” You dropped the last items in your box as you began to untape the photos of you and your dad and your friends in various places. You picked up your box, the past 4 years of your life amounting to a single box. You sighed as you walked past Nico, “Keep your lying ass bitch away from me. Or god help me it won’t be a rumor anymore.”
Nico frowned at your words, “What the hell is she talking about?” Luke let out a defeated sigh, “This.” He handed Nico his phone as Nico slowly digested the information he was reading. He handed Luke his phone as he found himself driving to Julia’s house. The door opened and Julia smiled widely at the sight of her boyfriend, “Hi baby!” Nico’s tense demeanor didn’t shift, “Why would you post that? I know that’s a lie, why?” Julia’s face paled, “Why do you care? It’s not about you!”
Nico scoffed, “Because you just got her fired for good. She’s banned from the NHL, not just fined. This was the most important thing to her. Why would you do that?” Julia’s voice lowered, sounding similar to a small child who was in trouble, “Jack asked me to get rid of her.” Nico’s eyes widened, “What?” Julia’s eyes watered, “Jack told me that if I didn’t find a way to get her off the team he would tell you about me and Dawson.” Nico raised an eyebrow, “What about you and Dawson?” Julia sniffled, “We hooked up at that party Jack threw.” Nico scoffed, “I don’t care. We’re over, fix this.”
A good month had passed and you had finally accepted that you were done in the NHL. You were packing up your apartment in New Jersey so you could move home to Germany with your grandparents and finally start school. Your phone rang, you frowned slightly as you read Nico’s name across the screen and answered, “Hey what’s up?” Nico’s soft voice filled your ears, “Check Twitter.” You frowned as you opened the Twitter app on your phone when Nico hung up.
Tumblr media
You frowned as your phone began to ring endlessly, teams leaving voicemails telling you that they’d love to have you, Coach Ruff leaving messages apologizing and asking you to return. A message from Nico made you smile briefly. He told you to do what you already knew to do. You smiled as you typed out a quick response ‘I did. Check Twitter’

Hihi!
Could you write a Walker Scobell x Reader fic where the reader gave him a handmade gift (crochet, origami or smth) at a fan event and she hid a piece of paper inside of it with her instagram handle? (I'm sorry if this is a weird request😭; I don't even understand the stuff my brain comes up with💀)
Anyways, thank youu! I hope you have a great day! :D
OOOO A WALKER ASK I LOVE IT !!! 🙈🙈
PLS SEND MORE REQUESTS GUYS PLS😇
Tumblr media
Walker Scobell x Reader
Youve been a fan of Walker for a few years now. When you saw the Adam Project something was pulling you towards him. Following him on Instagram you gave it a rest. Its when he got his role of Percy Jackson on Disneys new spin off is when he really blew up. You saw all the behind the scenes and interviews he was in. The show itself was amazing, other than the slight jealousy you would feel here and there but thats normal for any teen.
He quickly became a HUGE celebrity crush for you. You knew that everyone felt like that for a celebrity crush but Walker felt like a school crush. You felt like you knew him. And like any cleberity crush, you told your best friend, your mom, your dad, your sister, your brother, your cat/dog, your school friends your not as close to, yiur favorite teacher, your least favorite teacher, and the old lady next door that loved hearing you talk.
“No you dont understand, hes different. I feel like I ACTUALLY know him.” you ranted to your best friend at your guys lab station in science.
“Y/n, hes just a celebrity. Half of the teenage girl population feels the same way you do right now.” She responded sort of knocking some sense into your brain. It didnt quite reach the part of your brain responsible for common sense as you still felt the same way.
“You know, hes having that fan meet thing close by in down town. If you really want to meet him just go to that, my daughter will be there too.” Your science teacher said coming behind you scaring the shit out of you.
Then it hit you, he was coming here. Your crush coming here. Walker THE Scobell. Pulling out your phone you looked it up to see if it was true. Seeing Walkers story it proved it. He was even staying at the hotel near your apartment. Near isnt the right word, ONE BUILDING OVER.
Coming home from school that day went awfully quick. The subject from earlier being the only thing occupying your mind.
How would you even make him notice you? You fit it with everyone else. There would be no way. Your eyes wandering around your room in thought just as your cat was playing with your crochet yarn. Now you have an idea.
After a little bit of social media you realized he really looked up to Ryan Renolds and had this thing for Deadpool. You were definitely going to make him a deadpool stuffed animal.
When your hands were cramped enough and it finally looked like deadpool you knew you were done. Then another thought hit you. Even if he took it, that would be it. Hed notice you for about 5.6 seconds and then itd just be stored randomly in his house.
A notification came from your phone, Walkers notification that he posted. Youd give him your Instagram. Even though it was unlikely hed ever take it the hope inside of you was stronger than any doubt you had.
The day to finally see him came quicker than you imagined. You spent hours putting on your best formal wear and even more to do your hair (and makeup if your a girl 😋).
When you finally saw him you realized he saw you first. His eyes being drawn to your face as he walked over to you. You shouldve taken your meds before you came. He walked over and smiled at you. Not any smile youve seen, a genuine one. Not the kind youd give when you see a stranger pass by you, but the one that you give when you actually see someone you love.
“Please tell me this is for me.” He sort of yelled as he tried to make his voice louder than his screaming fans.
“Yes, yes of course.” you giggled as your shaky hands gave it to his. You noticed how his hands gently went over yours. Then the screams of fans changed. They went from begging for his attention to being on them to sounds of awes and your personal favorite; “are you guys dating” “is that your girlfriend”
When he walked away though your eyes and heart didnt miss the way his head turned back around to see you, that smile was back on his face.
When you got home you were euphoric. Walker THE Scobell noticed you and you were freaking out STILL.
Your phone buzzed again. A more agressive vibration so it wasnt a imessage.
‘Walker Scobell followed you!’
Your heart dropped into your ass.
Opening up Instagram you shook even more. About to message your friend on Instagram you noticed his note.
‘I fell inlove at a fan meet.’
And before you could even text your friend another notification went off.
Walker Scobell
Hi, is this the fan that gave me the deadpool?
yes! it is 🩷
I just wanted to say that I think your really cool and I was wondering if you wanna be friends?
Seen 32 mins ago
You didnt know what to do. Respond or never text him again. Throw up or pass out even.
You decided to reapond to him.
Its funny how that whole story was only 2 years ago. You were now with your lovely boyfriend Walker. You were at his house watching the new season of Percy Jackson starring you in it. Life is amazing when you take chances.
“Man I hate watching my acting, why did I make that face.” Your boyfriend started complaining watching himself on the tv.
“Oh shush you look good and you know it.” Your assured him lifting up the curls on his head to give him a genuine kiss on his forehead.
He looked up from you from where his head was laying on your chest and gave you those eyes. Those sea blue eyes that filled with warmth tenderness. You knew he was always more than a celebrity crush. He was your soulmate.
Pls send me your requests !!

Request: Steve has a few younger siblings. He is very protective over them (2 brothers & 1 baby sister) his family is very close. But the party meeting his siblings in the hospital post spring break from hell, Steve's little sister screams tearfully until she is put beside her older brother who is in hospital due to severe injuries. His younger brothers (8yrs old & 5 yrs old) demand for their big brother to be left alone by these strangers. The party demanded to know why he kept his siblings from them???? Also Steve just being loved on by his parents & his siblings and of the party.
DARLING IDK HOW YOU COME UP WITH THIS STUFF BUT THANK GOD YA DO!!! Steve having siblings and good parents and STILL choosing to be the best damn babysitter is kind of giving me LIFE. I am forever here for giving Steve all the love he deserves. A little backstory for this in my brain: Steve's parents got married right out of high school at their own parents' insistence, and they loved each other, but wanted to go to college first. Anne got pregnant during their honeymoon and had to put college on hold. The reason there's such a big age gap between Steve and his siblings is because she finished college, started working as a lawyer, and then went into business with Richard. Once they were comfortable in that for a couple years, they decided to have more kids. We love responsible decisions!!! - Mickala ❤️
--------------------------------------------------------
Steve spent 12 hours unconscious, which would be more alarming if he hadn’t had worse before. At least this time he was in a hospital for it.
Or maybe that was worse.
His mom was by his side the moment he woke up, along with a pacing Dustin and half-asleep Robin.
“Mom? Where’s Dad?”
“Oh, honey!” Anne Harrington was a strong woman, a lawyer who didn’t take shit from anyone, only cried when Steve won his basketball championship and graduated high school. But here she was, sobbing against his hand tightly grasped in her own. “He’s with your brothers and sister. I didn’t want them to see you like this, honey. You almost died!”
Maybe that was true. He certainly felt like he almost died.
He felt Robin and Dustin staring at them, realized what his mom had said.
“Brothers?” Dustin asked, barely more than a whisper, from the foot of the hospital bed.
“Sister?” Robin asked, a yawn breaking out before she even finished asking.
There was a commotion outside the door, he could hear his father’s voice trying to stay calm as he spoke, but knew he was frustrated.
Then he heard a loud cry and his heart broke.
“Was that Bethany?” Steve croaked, his eyes watering at the wails his three year old sister was letting out.
Anne looked at the mostly closed door, nodding as she turned back to Steve in the bed.
“They’ve been begging to see you since this morning. They wouldn’t stop begging to come, so your dad compromised and said they could sit in the waiting room until you woke up, but they’ve been sitting there for two hours. You know how they get.”
He did. He knew that any compromise they’d agreed to was going to work to their benefit in the end because they were all much too clever for their ages.
Suddenly, the door shot open and his eight year old brother, James, stood there with wide eyes. His five year old brother, Ryan, stood behind him, bouncing on his feet so he could try to see.
His father appeared behind them, holding Bethany in his arms, and looking like he wished he could be anywhere else.
But that look disappeared when he saw that Steve was awake.
“I’m so glad you’re okay, son,” he said, a choked noise making its way from his throat like he would have sobbed if the kids weren’t there.
He could feel the confusion coming from Robin and Dustin, but now wasn’t the time to explain any of it.
“Hey kiddos. You guys okay?” Steve rasped out, giving a small smile to all his siblings.
James and Ryan ran to his bed, climbing onto it carefully when Anne snapped her fingers at them and told them to go slow so they didn’t hurt their brother.
“Down, daddy! Wanna see Steve!” Bethany was kicking her legs and trying to push away from Richard, who sighed and let her down.
She ran to the bed, ignored the warning to go slow, and piled into Steve’s lap.
It hurt, but she was so small, and Steve could deal with some discomfort if it meant she could see he was okay.
“Steve, you have boo-boos!”
He patted her always messy hair, and gave her the best smile he could muster.
“Just a few. I’m gonna get all better soon, though. The doctors just had to put some bandaids on them.”
“Are they Barbie bandaids?”
“Of course they aren’t, Bethany. They’re big and have to be wrapped,” James said.
Steve gripped James’ hand in his.
James was going through a phase of wanting to seem older than he was, which was normal, but he took a lot of it out on Bethany. Bethany could certainly hold her own, and often did, but they were all emotional and under a lot of stress at this moment, so Steve stepped in.
“Buddy, let’s just take it easy today, okay? It’s okay to be scared, but so is Bethany and she’s little, so we have to be patient. Like we talked about, remember?”
“What is happening right now?” Dustin asked, still standing awkwardly at the end of his bed.
“Um. Dustin, Robin, this is Bethany, James is to my left, and Ryan is to my right. These are my brothers and sister.”
“You have siblings.”
It wasn’t a question, but Steve could hear the disbelief in Dustin’s tone.
“I do.”
“You never mentioned them?” Robin asked as she looked at where Richard and Anne were now whispering in the corner of the room.
“It just never really came up?”
“Uh. Okay.”
“Who are these people?” Ryan asked as he turned his face into Steve’s arm, always more shy than his other siblings.
“That’s my best friend, Robin, and Dustin. I used to babysit him and now he’s like another brother.”
“But we’re your brothers,” James said, crossing his arms against his chest.
“Of course. But there’s plenty of room to have Dustin around, too. He’s awesome. He can teach you D&D!”
Bethany was curling up against his chest, at least being more careful now that she’d seen his injuries up close. Ryan was shuffling closer to his side, burying his head under his arm like he did on their family movie nights when he was getting tired but didn’t want anyone to know. James was still tense, jealous.
“Did he teach you D&D?”
“Nah. I told you it’s too complicated for me.”
“Did I hear someone say D&D?” Eddie peeked his head through the door, grin lighting up the room.
“Eddie!” Dustin exclaimed.
“Looks like Steve’s got a whole party in here! Are we playing or what?”
Eddie walked into the room completely, smiling until he realized that Steve’s parents were here.
They got together during chaos; they didn’t have time to talk about logistics, about what Steve’s parents knew about him, if they would even be okay with him.
He’d briefly mentioned his siblings to Eddie when they were getting weapons ready, but didn’t talk much about anything else.
“Eds, these are my parents, Richard and Anne,” Steve introduced them, winking at his mom when she gave him a questioning look.
He’d been out to his parents for months, accidentally letting slip that he’d gone on a date with a guy on their Christmas vacation. They took it well overall, the shock making it seem like they were upset, but they were just confused about why he’d only ever brought home girls.
“Mom, Dad, this is my boyfriend, Eddie.”
Eddie’s eyes practically bulged out of his head when he realized what Steve was doing.
“Ew, a boyfriend?” James, already back to his previous attitude, curled his lip up in disgust.
He looked so like Steve sometimes, it was alarming. If they were out running errands together, people often assumed he was his son.
“James! Watch your tone!” Anne said as she reached out a hand to shake Eddie’s. “It’s lovely to meet you, Eddie. I assume you’re the one who helped carry Steve to safety?”
“Yes ma’am.”
“So polite. Who would’ve thought Steve found someone so nice?” Richard said with a smirk and a wink at Steve.
“Are you in love?” Bethany asked as she watched Eddie from her spot against Steve’s chest.
Steve could feel his face heat up, watched as Eddie’s face went red and he looked down at the floor.
“We care about each other a lot, B,” Steve replied, hoping she would drop it.
“But he saved you! Like a princess!”
Eddie let out a small laugh as he got closer to the bed and sat down on the edge.
“Well, you look like a princess, too. What’s your name?” He asked, glancing up at Steve for a moment to make sure it was okay he sat there. Steve nodded once.
“Beffany.”
“Princess Bethany? Of Loch Nora?”
Bethany looked at Anne to confirm, nodding as soon as her mom gave her a thumbs up.
Eddie stood back up, bowed, and then sat down again.
“It’s an honor to be in your presence, your highness.”
“Are you a knight?” she asked as she scooted away from Steve’s chest and off his lap, climbing her way into Eddie’s.
Ryan was even pulling away slightly to watch what was going on.
“I wish! I haven’t been through all of my training yet. Maybe you could help me?”
“What kinda trainin’?” Bethany started playing with his hair, but Eddie didn’t stop her, wanted her to feel comfortable while Steve recovered.
“I need to learn my royal etiquette. Do you think you can show me?”
“Yes! We have lessons!”
“Great!” Eddie beamed at her. “Maybe you can give me lessons when your brother goes home?”
“Mommy! Can Eddie come play?”
“Of course. But not today. Steve has to keep resting here for a couple days and I think Eddie probably wants to be here for him.”
“Okay. I stay too?”
“No, baby. We have to let Steve rest some more. We can come back to visit tomorrow.”
Steve felt Ryan and James cling to his arms when they realized that meant they were all leaving.
“But Robin and Dustin are staying!” James was jealous. He loved spending time with Steve, thrived on being considered “mature” enough to run errands with him when their parents were busy, helping him with chores because he was the only one big enough.
Dustin was a threat to his time with Steve, even at eight he could tell.
“Actually, I passed Dustin’s mom on the way here and she was coming to get him soon to go home. He hurt his ankle and shouldn’t even be walking around right now,” Eddie said, eyes squinting in Dustin’s direction like they’d already discussed this once.
“And I have to get home to my parents so they don’t worry. Maybe you can walk me to the bus stop and keep me safe?” Robin asked, somewhat awkwardly.
She didn’t know how to talk to kids, but it was a valiant attempt.
And it seemed to work.
James perked up at the thought of helping in a big kid way.
“Oh, darling, we can drop you off at your house on our way home,” Anne said. “I’ll take you and James can walk with us so we aren’t alone. Right, James?”
James nodded vigorously.
“I’ll protect you. And then we can come back tomorrow to see if Steve’s better.”
Steve leaned down and kissed the top of Ryan’s head, smiling when he realized he fell asleep at some point during the conversation.
“He barely slept last night. I’ll carry him. Hopefully now that he’s seen you’re alive and okay he can rest,” Richard said with a sad smile.
“If you bring them all tomorrow morning, I can help them make character sheets for D&D,” Eddie suggested.
“Yes! Please, dad! Can we?” James bounced in the bed, jostling everyone a bit.
Steve hissed in pain, but tried to cover it with a smile when James looked at him with an apologetic look.
“Sure. If you promise to sleep tonight and eat breakfast in the morning, we can come back.”
“I promise!” James poked Ryan. “Ryan! Promise you’ll sleep tonight and have breakfast in the morning so we can come play D&D!”
Ryan blinked a few times, nodded, then snuggled back into Steve’s side.
As Richard and Anne worked on gathering the kids and Robin and Dustin walked out with them, Steve relaxed in the hospital bed, finally feeling most of his injuries.
He knew they would give him more pain meds if he asked, but he wanted a few minutes with Eddie first.
“Hey.”
“Hey, sweetheart,” Eddie said as he took his hand in his own, gently squeezing as he made himself comfortable on the side of the bed.
“Thanks for being so cool with them,” Steve let his eyes close for a moment as he took in every wound on his body.
He knew this was a close one, could tell by the way Eddie was looking at him a moment ago.
“You never told anyone else about them?”
Steve shook his head.
“Didn’t really need to. I figured they’d all meet eventually. Just never came up before.”
“Want me to get the nurse?” Eddie could tell he didn’t want to talk about it right now, so he changed the subject quickly.
“In a minute. Wanna kiss you.”
“Oh yeah? Come kiss me then.”
Steve opened one eye and started pouting.
“You come kiss me,” Steve said.
“Fine. But only because you’re hurting.”
Eddie leaned down to press his lips against Steve’s softly, a comfort as much as a promise for more when he was better.
“You’ll stay?”
“Yeah, sweetheart. Just gonna get the nurse and grab a snack from the machine down the hall and then I’m all yours for the night.”
“Can’t wait to feel better.”
“I know. Maybe next time you won’t try to be a hero, hm?”
“No, I don’t care about the pain or anything.”
“Then…”
“I want you to fuck me.”
“Jesus Christ,” Eddie choked. “Are you always like this or are there still some drugs in your system?”
“Dunno. Never felt like this with anyone else.”
“Stevie…”
“You’re good with them. Especially Bethany. She’s a lot. But you did good. Good for my nuggets.”
Steve was slowly losing consciousness and Eddie couldn’t help the fond smile creeping up on his face.
“They seem like good gremlins. They sure love you a lot,” Eddie whispered.
“Mhm. Love you.”
“Oh. I don’t think they know me well enough to love me yet, sweetheart, but that’s nice of you to say,” Eddie scrambled to get out, his heart flipping over in his chest at the thought that that wasn’t what Steve meant.
“No.” Steve opened his eyes, staring right at Eddie. “I do. I love you.”
It was crazy. Probably a product of his injuries, exhaustion, and drug cocktail in his system. He probably thought he loved him, but they’d only just gotten together officially.
“Eds. It’s okay. I’m just lettin’ you know how I feel. You don’t have to say it back.”
“I just. I. I think I love you too. I just don’t see how you love me.”
“‘S easy.”
Just that easy.
Like Steve would have said it whether he was in the hospital or not.
—------------
The next morning, James, Ryan, and Bethany planted themselves on Steve’s bed while Eddie explained character sheets to them.
Steve watched with a smile as all of his siblings watched Eddie in awe.
His family meant the world to him, and Eddie did too. He wanted things to always be like this.
When Eddie smiled at him over James’ shoulder a while later, he thought that maybe they would be.

Eddie Diaz x Daughter!reader - so much time
Tumblr media
Hi, now I can try my request again. 😉 So, do you think you can write about Eddie's daughter? She thinks her father only takes care of her little brother Christopher. Keyword: distance father-daughter... Until one day she needs Eddie's help... Thanks ☺️ - Anon 💜
Tossing your jacket on, you walked through the living room and leant down, kissing your brothers head.
“See you later bud.”
“You’re leaving?” He asked.
You nodded your head.
“Got plans sorry Chris, am sure you and dad will have fun though.”
You headed to the door and pulled your shoes on, double checking your phone as you grabbed your keys.
“You’re really not coming with us?” Eddie asked.
Looking up at your dad, you pocketed your keys and phone.
“Got plans.”
With that you left and you made your way to the mall to meet your friends.
You guys wondered in and out of shops, and you were standing by one of the food places sipping the drink in your cup as you watched your friends messing around.
Laughing, you shook your head and nudged your other friend.
“Stop them before they get hurt Ryan.”
“Alright, alright.” He laughed.
He walked over to pull the other two boys apart and you heard your phone chime, so you pulled it out to read the message.
Dad: there’s plenty of food if you want to swing by the station.
Rolling your eyes, you typed your reply.
You: no.
Pocketing your phone again, you looked up at the three boys standing in front of you with their arms crossed.
“You’re dad?” Tom asked.
You nodded.
“Forget it, you don’t need him. You got us!” Kyle grinned.
Laughing you walked over and they surrounded you as you all began to wonder once more, just heading in and out of shops.
You had been invited to the meal at the 118 along with your dad and brother but you didn’t see the point in going.
It wasn’t like he was going to miss you anyways, he hardly noticed you were there as it was so you didn’t bother putting effort into someone that wasn’t going to put the effort in with you, regardless if it was your own father or not.
You preferred going out with the guys, they were like your brothers at this point and they did everything with you, they took you to movies and dinners, played games with you and helped you with homework.
They did everything your dad should’ve been doing.
The day was going great, you were standing on by the railing, waving to your friends who were racing up the escalators.
The following week, you skipped another invitation to go to the 118 and instead you and all your friends from school went to a small lake to go ice skating.
“Is this even safe?” You laughed.
“Yeah! Come on it’s frozen solid!” Clara laughed.
Laughing with you, you stepped on to the ice taking her hands in yours and you began to skate around with them.
The boys played hockey, and the girls just skated around, sometimes cutting through the game to annoy the boys.
You skated around, and you stopped when someone called your name.
“Your dads calling you!” Tom called.
“Oh… I guess bring my phone here?”
You went to move by when you did something went wrong.
You heard a loud crack and you slowly looked down.
“No! No!”
Tom quickly stopped and looked at you, and you stared at the cracked ice before looking at him.
“It’s cracking…” you whispered.
“What do we do!?” He yelled.
“Answer the phone! Tell me dad!”
You didn’t know who else to call, your dad was calling you now and it was the fastest way to get help, so Tom did
Eddie nearly dropped his phone and he jumped up.
“Eddie?” Bobby asked.
“My daughters on a frozen lake and it’s cracking!”
“Let’s go!” Bobby barked.
The whole crew rolled out, trying to get there as fast as possible and all your friends were stood nearby, trying to keep you calm.
Tears ran down your face, and the ice slowly kept cracking.
“Hey! Hey they’re here!” Someone yelled.
You all turned to the edge of the ice where the firefighters were slowly making their way across, your dad faster than anyone.
He stopped a few feet in front of you and he scanned the ice.
“Alright, okay hold on, okay? We’re going to help you, I promise.”
You breathed heavily.
“I’m scared…”
“I know… I know… just hang in there.”
You slowly nodded your head and they tried to figure out how the were going to help you.
Bobby stepped forward.
“I need you to lay on your stomach for me okay, nice and easy.”
“I can’t…”
“(Y/N), look at me, look at me.”
You looked at your dad, and he slowly lowered himself to his stomach.
“Just like that okay? It’s going to be okay I promise you.”
“I can’t dad…”
“You can okay? I know you can.”
You slowly lowered yourself down, getting in your knees then you laid on your stomach and the ice cracked a little more.
“Your dad is going to slowly come over, when you can reach his hand we need you to grab it alright?” Hen asked.
You nodded your head.
Eddie slowly began to move forward, and when he was close enough he reached out his hand and you hesitated, staring at it.
“Trust me…” he whispered.
Slowly you reached out, your fingers wrapping around his wrist and he did the same, and in one smooth motion his team grabbed him and hauled him back away from the cracked ice.
Everyone was quickly ushered from the ice, and you and Eddie were the last two to leave and you were trembling.
“(Y/N)!”
Your friends all surrounded you, hugging you tightly and comforting you.
“Hey can we give you a quick check?” Chim asked.
You nodded and pushed through your friends to sit at the back of the ambulance while Hen and Chim gave you a check over.
Eddie stood nearby, leaning against the fire truck as he watched.
“You’re all good, though you lot should probably all put on jackets.” Hen said.
There was a chorus’ of no amount all the teenagers making everyone laugh.
You looked at your friends then looked at your dad and you stood up, walking over to him.
“Thank you…”
Reached out, you gave him an unsure hug.
Eddie immediately hugged you back, holding you tightly as he took a deep breathe and you hugged him back just as tight.
You had spent so much time avoiding him and not doing anything with him because you felt he didn’t care, you didn’t know how much you really needed a hug from him.
And Eddie didn’t realise how much you had grown.
He’d spent so much time worrying about Christopher and looking after him, somewhere along the lines you had grown up.
And he realised he had been missing so much with you

We’re All Family Here
Tumblr media
Reader is Carter’s younger sister and she has a prosthetic leg and the reader is worried that Rip and Beth will kick her off the ranch if they found out. Wattpad request from - @Quackity_bwead
Pulling down the Jean of my right leg I sighed staring at myself in the mirror that was in my room in Rip and Beth’s house. My brother Carter was already up for work in the barn but I got to sleep in this morning which was rare. Walking out of the house I headed to the barn with large Y above the doorway. The sun had just started to rise above the mountains and everybody was busy already working. Taking my horse out of the stall I climbed on feeling my fake leg hanging over. “Alright boy, let’s go.”
Kicking my horse we rode off towards the sunset with the wind running through my hair. I was wearing a tan dark cowgirl hat and my hair was tied in a braid. Riding through the fields I saw my older brother Carter who was trying to rope a cafe but it started running at me. “Y/n, watch out!” He cried when the cafe got underneath my horses leg and it spooked causing the horse to throw me off its back.
“Sis I’m sorry. I just couldn’t get a good hold on it.” My brother apologized coming over on his horse while Ryan rode past me to go grab my horse that had ran off somewhere else.
Rubbing the back of my neck I winced feeling some pain but it wasn’t as bas I have normally been through. Shifting my gaze away from my brother I saw that Rip was riding over to us. He dismounted his horse quickly dropping himself on a knee in front of me. “What the hell happened, kid. You can’t be injuring any of our guys!..are you hurt Y/n?”
“No just sore a little.” I shook my head not understanding why his deep brown eyes seemed to be filled with concern.
Rip moved closer to me touching my right leg and he pulled up the fabric of my pant. Once he saw something odd sticking out of your pant leg he knew something must be wrong. “Then what exactly is wrong with your leg here?” He questioned me where I finally noticed that he had seen my fake leg.
“I….uh….” I yanked my leg back feeling my face turn red being embarrassed over this. Carter wasn’t with me the night of the accident. I was just driving back to our place with our dead beat dad until someone rear ended me harshly.
Rip saw that I wasn’t going to answer him so he called to Ryan who had brought back my horse. “Ryan, take her back to the ranch.” Getting to my feet I climbed back on my horse and followed the ranch hand back to the ranch then he went back to work like Rip had asked him.
Laying on my bed inside my room I stared at the ceiling in silence and a pit of nervousness. Sitting upright I knew I had messed up or more so my brother had. I had done my best to keep the fact that I had a prosthetic leg a secret. In fear that if they knew I would be removed from the ranch. Someone came down the hallway and I lifted my head up seeing it was Beth. “Hi mom….uh what’s up?” I nervously asked since she had just started letting me call her that.
“I heard about your fall today from Rip. I’m happy you shook it off but we need to talk about something.” She entered the bedroom before I saw that Rip was also walking in behind her heels.
Playing with my thumbs in my lap I avoided their gazes when they came to sit down on the bed. Well Beth did leaving Rip standing directly in front of me. “So are you going to tell me about your leg or no?”
“I don’t really want to talk about it…” I gulped trailing off in my response already knowing the answer they would give me.
It was hard enough for Carter to prove that he would be a good worker. I already was a good hand but the fake leg wasn’t a good look. John Dutton had the greatest ranch in Montana and that means he should have close to the best people working for him. “You better tell us otherwise things will get ugly.” Beth warned me with her annoyed look and I froze knowingly.
"It's...it's about my prosthetic leg..." Rolling my pants leg, I made it visible to their gaze, and I didn't dare make eye contact with either of them. "I didn't want to tell you about it because I've been sp terrified of what you would say. Even though I get my work done, nobody else on this ranch has one. So I....just assumed that you would kick me off the ranch over it."
Rip put his hands on his hips, tilting my head to the side slightly. "That's totally ridiculous, Y/n. We would never do that."
"This family may be complicated, but we don't abandon our family members." Beth shifted on her spot on the bed, grasping my hand in hers.
Hanging my mouth open I couldn't believe it. "Really but I thought that-"
"That what us having some cowboys from the prison and others in debt wouldn't have given you the message that we take in the trouble so they can have a home." Rip declared, coming to sit down beside me, tucking hair behind my ear.
I parted my lips without thinking I fling my arms around his neck hugging him tightly. Rip stiffened up at the embrace but calmed down after a second and wrapped his arms around me with the same comfort. “Thank you….I didn’t think you would let me stay.” I sniffed against his chest.
“Anyone who has a problem with that will have to deal with me.” Beth responded after I hugged her and she actually hugged me back too to my surprise. I smiled at the pair knowing that Carter and I were gonna do really good here. This wasn’t just a rnhc, it was a family for everybody.
Comments really appreciated ❤️

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"okay, how do i look?" will wondered as he showed his probably fourth outfit since he started getting ready an hour ago. gabe and ryan exchanged a glance before ryan stood up and placed his hands on will's shoulders.
"you look fine, trust us. just be chill. she's your best friend. this is just like a normal hang out with you two maybe kissing at the end," ryan reassured his friend as best as possible. a small blush crept onto will’s cheeks knowing he didn’t tell his friends him and samy already kissed once at the draft party a month ago.
"i'm just nervous it's not gonna go well. i mean is it gonna be awkward because we're like..maybe a couple now? i don't know," will had run through every single bad scenario since samy agreed to a date and his mind just wouldn't shut off.
"it's gonna be fine. you guys are gonna have fun. even if it does get awkward, you know how to get out of it. just..be yourself," gabe said from the couch.
"what if she decides she doesn't wanna continue this?" will bit at his lip. he’d never felt this much fear before, especially because of a girl. he just so desperately wanted things to work out between him and samy.
"well, she'd be crazy for thinking that and i don't think that will happen. you guys are like..in love with each other, so. she's yours, smitty," ryan laughed, trying to ease the tension.
"well..not yet she isn't," will mumbled. the boys exchanged a glance before ryan gave his finishing touches.
"you're gonna be fine. it's all gonna work out,” ryan said. will sucked in a deep breath before nodding and finally believing his friends.
"alright, you better get out of here before you're late," gabe held his phone up. will nodded, grabbing his phone and car keys.
"i'll see you guys later,” will called and rushed out of the door before he lost his courage and went back inside.
he rolled into samy's driveway, flowers in hand as he walked up to her front door. the blonde took one last deep breath before knocking on the door. there were footsteps and he was caught off guard when luke opened the door. the older brunette immediately smirked, knowing all too well about the developing feelings between his sister and friend.
"what's up smitty, come on in," luke invited will in.
"sam! will's here!" luke called up the stairs. will's hand fidgeted at his side, heart racing and nerves at an all time high. he'd seriously never been this nervous before.
"will? is that you?" ellen called from the kitchen.
"yeah, hi, mrs. hughes,” will said as the older woman came into the foyer.
"it's so good to see you. how are you?" ellen embraced the young boy.
"i'm good, how are you?" will asked.
"i'm good, thanks for asking. samy should be down soon,” she rubbed his arm, noticing the anxiety written all over will's face.
"flowers were a nice touch," luke winked as he leaned against the stairwell.
"thanks," will muttered.
finally, there were footsteps on the stairs. will's eyes watched nervously as samy came down, quickly smiling when she saw the blonde holding flowers. her hair was curled and she had a pretty shirt on with flowers.
"hi,” will mumbled nervously.
"hi. are these for me?" samy wondered, looking at the flowers.
"yes. i hope you like them,” will handed them over and the girl grinned.
"i do, thank you. let me put these in water quickly," samy said and motioned for will to follow her further into the house.
luke sent the boy eyes as he passed. ellen glared at luke, telling him to cool it. upon further entrance into the house, all of samy's brothers were home. quinn and jack were on the couch with their dad watching tv. will's poor nerves got even worse because he was not expecting all of the hughes brothers at home when he was about to take their little sister on a date.
"oh, hey smitty,” jack waved, also a knowing look on his face.
"hey jack," will nodded to him, quinn, and jim.
"where you guys going again?" jack wondered, a teasing tone in his voice.
"to dinner and then we're gonna walk around ann arbor,” samy cut in before will could answer. the look she was giving her brother was telling him to back off before he freaked will out even more.
"mhm, sounds fun," quinn said.
"i'm sure you guys are gonna have a lot of fun. ann arbor is so beautiful at night,” ellen said with a smile.
"you know you never let quinn and i out at the city at night by ourselves when we were samy's age,” jack commented, still teasing.
"maybe because they trust me more than they trusted you guys," samy finally said, eyeing jack again.
"parents always start letting up for the youngest,” luke shook his head and laughed. will stood there in silence wishing that samy would finish and they could leave the awkward situation of her brothers' teasing.
"don't you boys have something better to do other than tease your sister and her date?" jim finally cut in. the boys finally quieted down after their dad got after them much to samy and will's relief.
"you guys have fun. be safe,” ellen smiled and sent the kids out before jack or luke could start talking again.
"i'm sorry, they're super annoying. you know how they get,” samy apologized once her and will got outside.
"it's alright. i didn't know all of your brothers were home,” will chuckled.
"yeah, i should've warned you. i didn't know they'd be like that,” she rolled her eyes.
will quickly opened her door making the girl smile at the gesture.
meanwhile, inside the house, ellen glared at her sons for teasing samy and will. jack put his hands up in defense.
"come on, mom. it's only fair because we treated one another the same when we brought girls home," jack defended himself.
"just chill next time, okay? you were gonna make the poor kid run off,” ellen rolled her eyes.
"it's nothing he hasn't heard before. plus, you all owe me $10! what did i say about them getting together?" jack exclaimed with a smirk.
"we all thought they were getting together," quinn added, also very over his little brothers’ antics.
"i called the bet though," jack countered.
"let's just be happy for samy, yeah?" jim said and all the boys nodded finally dropping the subject for the night.
"remeber when my dad taught you and i how to drive down these roads last year?" samy laughed, leaning back into the passenger seat, eyes staring longingly on the road.
"god, that was top ten scariest experiences when you got behind the wheel." will teased, earning a small shove on his arm from the brunette beside him.
"hey! i didn’t do that bad. at least i didn’t hit a tree!” the girl tried defending herself.
"you almost did though. good thing you won’t have to drive a lot in college,” will shook his head lightly, a smile on his lips still. the brunette chuckled, enjoying the reminiscing on old times.
"this feels so weird, you know? but a good weird." samy muttered.
"yeah, a good weird." will nodded.
"plus like we talked about, it's our grace period. if it goes to shit, we're still friends and nothing changes,” samy said mostly for herself because she was as scared as will about this new side of things.
"right, but i hope it doesn't go to shit,” will added. the two met gazes for a brief second before samy smiled.
"me too. i'm excited."
will and samy talked all through dinner about college, the draft, and the end of will's dev program. it was like they were just two friends out at dinner together like any other day. by the time they were finished, the temperature had dropped a significant amount making samy shiver a little and will quickly taking notice.
"are you cold?" he immediately asked.
"yeah..just a bit,” they were by the car, so will opened up the backseat. he pulled out a boston college sweatshirt he threw back there a few days ago, glad he didn't take it out yet.
"here,” the blonde grinned. samy chuckled and pulled it over her head. it smelled like will and was a bit too big, but she was definitely warmer now.
"thanks,” samy hooked her arm with his as the two began walking through ann arbor.
"are you nervous for school?" the girl wondered.
"sort of, but bc is so familiar to me so i know it like the back of my hand pretty much,” the boy shrugged briefly.
"yeah, that's how i feel about michigan. i guess it's different for you though because you're really going for hockey and not so much the school aspect."
"i'm sure you're gonna do great though. you were what? top ten in your school? you're going for poli sci,” will raised his eyebrow making samy flush.
"i am excited to start playing with the team. you're coming to the game against bc in october right?" samy wondered, tugging on will's arm.
"is that even a question? of course i'll be there,” will laughed and the brunette smiled.
"good. i'll look for you in the stands," samy giggled and her laugh was like music to will's ears. he's always loved hearing samy’s laugh growing up.
after some walking, the two found a quieter bench with less people walking around. samy tucked herself comfortably into will’s side where he wrapped his arm around her torso, making sure to keep her close. the adrenaline could be felt between both of them—quick heartbeats and nervous touches.
“you know, my mom used to tease me when we were younger about us going out at some point in the future,” samy began, filling the silence.
“she did?” will chuckled, thinking of his own mom too.
“mhm. i think she knew way before we did. i think everyone did actually,” the girl chuckled too. will nodded in agreement, remembering how much the guys used (still do) to chirp at him about his feelings for samy.
“ryan and gabe definitely knew i liked you before i knew i liked you. they actually pointed it out to me the moment we got back after they met you,” the memory that once seemed so fresh was now so long ago.
“wait, that’s actually hilarious. they always know where to poke. i guess we owe them one later,” the brunette giggled making will smile. he squeezed her a tiny bit closer despite their already close proximity.
“i suppose so. wouldn’t have wanted it any other way though,” his blue eyes found her own. they held one another’s gazes before tiny blushes spread across their cheeks.
they subconsciously inched closer to one another, eyes darting back and forth between each other’s lips. “can i kiss you?” will finally found his courage to ask. a simple nod was all he needed from samy to close the rest of the distance and place his lips onto hers.
he’d be lying if he said he hadn’t been thinking about kissing her again since the draft and he knew samy felt the same way based on the way she kissed him.
“is it okay to say i think this date went really well?” will mumbled when they pulled apart.
samy’s lips sparked from her lipgloss as well as her smile. she nodded, “100%”
“good,” will grinned before pulling her back in their 3rd kiss.

Please bestie, I need platonic Alex Keller headcanons I beg of you 😭😭😭
I'm here to deliver for you in trying times bestie. Stuck at home from work in a blizzard so here I am for you. Hope it suffices and you enjoy. 🫡 @itsscromp
Alex Keller Headcanons:
Tumblr media
I imagined Alex was one of those clowns in school. I think when he was younger he was respectful but also a hog for attention. He always got really happy when the teacher picked him in class and would pout if some other kid got "his answer".
I'm not terribly sure about family headcanons. I feel he fits as either an only child or as a younger brother to an older boy. (Possibly a twin) If he had any siblings I could see him as the middle child, an older brother, him and a little sister.
Alex's parents raised him as a gentleman. You think his manners came from the military?? Even when he was in highschool he called women he respected ma'am on the regular.
Alex watched a lot of spy movies when he was younger. Jason Bourne, Jack Ryan, R.E.D. A bunch of those kinds of movies. But Alex didn't originally want to be CIA.
He also really liked superheroes. (Lovingly borrowing a headcanon from Scromp) He really liked Mega Man and other super heroes like that. Probably watched Ben Ten or something. (Sang the power Rangers theme song)
I think unlike the others Alex's run to the military was as an accidental second hand decision.
He had incredible grades in school but when his brother was called for Mandatory service. Alex was still too young when his brother went to serve a couple years. Instead of going to college and getting a different job he went to serve mandatory years as well.
Alex gives me Texas man vibes, but he doesn't have the accent. So I don't think he grew up there, possibly from California or Georgia. Somewhere warm.
Alex wanted to serve alongside his brother but he was deployed while Alex was in his first stages of basic training.
Alex is a very sociable guy so he doesn't have trouble making friends. However, upon a certain incident he did lose a lot of his confidence. Around people he knows he's a butterfly in flight, but doesn't like attention on the leg.
Alex was super attached to his older brother but when he got past that part he did enjoy his time in the military.
Obviously the first person he wants to introduce you to Is his brother and his parents. He'll introduce you with so much pride.
In my mind I see Alex's parents as your typical Georgia or Texas conservative dressers. But they aren't those types of conservatives. They were worried for him when he was younger, but if their son showed up with a man on his arm they wouldn't bat an eye.
And obviously they love you. Alex's dad is the guy who says that even as a guest, in the house you take on some household priorities. Nothing big, but probably expects some help with yardwork and that you'll help his wife with dishes.
Alex will cook with his mother. And oh you see where he gets it. He's the guy whose mama's boy love takes presidents over other duties. He just wants to be with his mom.
You'll be allowed to join in with a casual soccer game of kicking the ball around with his brother. They're an incredible family and accept you as one of their own the moment they see you.
He loves to decorate it though, and has stickers from several incidents, or young military hostages that he could distract. So in a way it was a blessing.
However, he didn't talk to women as much anymore. Platonic relationships are a breath of fresh air.
His parents used to have to wrangle him in when he got his first girlfriend. Constantly sneaking out to meet up with her. And while a respectful kid, after a certain sneaking out the girl's father was not happy to get the story the next day.
After Alex got his leg, dating seemed to be swept off the table. He had all the qualities, tall, very handsome, strong. But the leg usually got people staring, and all the charisma went out the window.
He barely got hookups anymore. (Yes, he was that guy for a while, and he isn't proud of it.)
Alex has participated in the Invictus Games before and it was a whole lot of fun.
Alex's show for women comes in the form of how respectful he is of Farah's boundaries. While he is happy to assert where he stands. If Farah had told him not to go when he did, he still probably wouldn't have listened.
Alex experiences phantom limb and phantom pain. Most times he has to weather the pain, but whenever he experienced phantom pain in the beginning he'd pass out from it.
He is very active and loves to play soccer. (Is very prepared to get yelled at for calling it soccer instead of football)
In all honestly Alex does want to get close to the other 141 members. He's close with Gaz, Price and Y/n. Soap trusts pretty easily and likes Alex because Farah likes him. Ghostie is a challenge though. He's up for it.
Protein shake man all the way. The day isn't started without a protein shake or a hearty meal. He loves his meat but is also all for leaning into the greener side of his diet to help him feel refreshed.
An incredible cook. If you go back to his house for leave you will be well taken care of, I promise you.
All of his relationships are tended to as he sees fit. He's definitely more of an acts of service guy. If you need something done, he will show you his love and appreciation by getting it done. Garbage is full?? On it. Feet sore? He'll take care of that for you.
Alex is a family man, but he also understands the sentiment that the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. And he holds his friendships with his brothers in high stakes.
Has a very smooth and charismatic air about him the majority of the time. He's well spoken and confident even if he doesn't have control of certain situations.
Just. Don't. Mention. The. Leg. 😁🔪
While he isn't really strong at other acts, physical affection like pats on the back or brief hugs do as well.
Tries to make Scream movie references to Ghost, like the ever popular "Sydney call" or other classic scenes. Is gleefully delighted when Ghost understands most of the references.
If you live somewhere known for its giant spiders *cough cough* he will not go. You are not getting him on that plane. Nada, zilch wiggle room on that one partner.
Probably uses comic book lines he likes a lot. Recites them like those cheesy scenes in movies where the leader of a group gives a heroic speech about kicking ass and staying loyal.
Gets called Price's son and honestly? A compliment.
Going back to acts of service, Alex also feels his love language as acts of service. Whenever he needs to let his leg breathe and get off his feet he takes off the leg and relaxes. And icing on the cake? If you feel comfortable, come over and massage his leg. Oh he'll keep you forever.
Will often do the robot dance to try and make you laugh, loves to dance with you in any setting.
You're never too old to go trick or treating. Alex comes off as the fun uncle that I could see dressing up as a Frankenstein and takes his nephews/nieces along with him for some fun around the block.
Clubber for life 🤟🏻😜 Seriously though, getting him tipsy enough and he'll challenge anyone insight to a drinking off. Will almost always lose. Especially against Johnny or Ghost.
If a girl won't call him a smoking handsome man, platonically please inflate his ego. It's like an air mattress and eventually it deflates to the point that you can feel the floor. Please fill his air mattress with compliments.
His tattoos include homages to his family. And his old squads and friends. Got a special tattoo for you over his left wrist with your initials and something that reminds him of you. (A flower, a hat, etc)
You know those bikes that you can lay down on and pedal almost vertical with the handlebars on the sides?? Photo. Yeah, he owns one of those. Will let you ride it. Yes it is fun.
Tried to grow his beard like Price's once so they could really be twins. Price for offended and now they have a rule that their beards/moustaches are not allowed to overlap like that.
Overall, very interesting man. A fun man, a funny man, loves some attention on him but not his leg. Please not make fun of him, yes he wants a girlfriend, yes he's sad and single but slaying every day of the week. Yes you are his best friend for life and if you try to abandon him he'll eat your legs off 😌.

Although he's not truly a Nazi the way Stormfront was, we do see many times throughout the show that Homelander is a bit of racist, especially towards Hispanics. I mean, he doesn't like it when he hears Ryan speaking Spanish, and all his interactions with Supersonic were so, uh, uncomfy, to say the least.
HOWEVER, Homelander is willing to overlook anything when he gets emotionally involved with someone. Like how he's always rambling on about supes being the superior race while at the same time lowkey worshipping Madelyn.
How do you think he will react to dating a Latina? I can see him being a major asshole at the beginning, complaining about her putting on Latin music while in the penthouse, and cooking "weird food". But slowly and almost unwillingly he gets dragged into the culture.
Like, her brothers and cousins adopt him and suddenly he's the guy who goes to parrillada every Sunday to hang out with his amigos, playing domino and watching freaking soccer. They nickname him "El Casas" and teach him how to speak Spanish but the type that's only spoken deep in the guetto and has grandmothers clutching their pearls.
He starts watching Soap Operas with his girlfriend ironically but then gets weirdly into them to the point that he's crying his eyes out every other episode. He also starts calling her mami/mamita and his mommy kink gets like ten times worse. Which is fine by her because she's been calling him papi rey (king daddy) in her mind since the moment she laid eyes on him.
Once they finally go public, Homelander is all but embraced by the Latino community and it makes his ratings go through the roof because America's Dad speaking perfect Spanish and dancing Salsa in his girlfriend's livestreams is the best representation they've ever gotten. His fanbase drastically changes ofc. Stormfront would be rolling on her grave, I just know it.
Forgive me if this is weird, I'm just a sad latina who's dying for representation in Homelander x reader stories.
GIRL YOU GOT ME INVESTED. i was pulling out the popcorn by the end of this!! tell me you’re gonna write this! it’s not weird at all, and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to see yourself represented. i’ve had this conversation a couple of times, and i can guarantee you’re not alone in wanting this: there’s an audience waiting!
i always tag @irenadel in these (which I hope she isn’t tired of lol) because her fic Pygmalion is the only one that i know of so far that leans into this, so you should definitely check it out if you haven’t already. i happen to have insider info that she’s working on the next chapter 👀
really and truly though, it sounds to me like you have the makings of a killer fic lined up in your mind. you clearly have a solid understanding of Homelander’s psychology, too. i really think you could do something awesome with this! it’s important that people tell these stories, and i’m not always the right person to do that.
i would 100% read the heck out of this. 🖤

could we see the boys going into the hospital to meet eliza after she’s been born? 🥺
This just warms my heart so much. Thank you for giving @munson-blurbs and me the sweetest little prompt for this family 💜

[As You Wish masterlist]
Tumblr media
The moment that Wayne puts his truck in park, both Munson boys are unbuckling their seatbelts. Luke, who sat in between his grandfather and big brother for the entirety of the ride to the hospital, feels like he’s going to tear his curls out of his head when neither of them gets out of his way fast enough.
“Relax, Luke,” Wayne says as Luke jumps out of the truck with a huff. “Your sister’s not goin’ anywhere. She can’t exactly walk yet, ya know.”
“But I’ve been waiting forever to meet her,” he whines. “Like…a year!”
“We’ve only known about her for six months,” Ryan says with an irritated eye roll.
“Will you two hush up? We’re walking into a hospital,” Wayne chastises, gesturing his grandsons through the automatic sliding doors before him. The strong smell of antiseptic invades their nostrils as they step inside, making Luke wrinkle up his nose in displeasure.
The entire ride up in the elevator to the third floor and the walk down hallways towards the maternity ward, the excitement buzzing between the Munson men is palpable. There’s a pressure building the closer they get, the boys like pots that are boiling over, ready to pop their lids. Every squeak of their shoes against the white linoleum floor feels like it’s echoing their heartbeats. Finally, they step into the waiting room they’re to meet Eddie. When thirty seconds pass without their father appearing, Luke starts fidgeting and heaving out impatient sighs.
“Where is he?” he groans. “Doesn’t he know we’re coming? That we’re here?”
Wayne lovingly musses Luke’s hair. “Hold your horses, buddy. He’ll be right out.”
Sure enough, Eddie comes around the corner moments later. Exhaustion paints dark circles under his eyes, but his bright smile doesn’t leave any doubt of his excitement.
“Are you guys ready to meet your sister?” he asks, wincing when Luke begins cheering and dancing like he just scored the winning touchdown. “Remember, we have to be calm and quiet around the baby. We don’t wanna scare her.”
Ryan nods and holds his forefinger to his lips while Luke tiptoes cartoonishly, making more noise than if he just walked normally. They stick their little heads around the door and see you sitting up in bed and holding a little bundle of blankets.
“Hi, guys,” you loudly whisper, not to wake the baby. Even though the hospital is making far stranger and louder sounds than anyone in the room could. You yawn, fighting to keep your eyes open so you can see their reactions to their baby sister.
Eddie walks over to stand by your side, motioning for his sons and uncle to join him. As the boys lay eyes on their new sister for the first time, their faces mirror one another’s as their eyes widen and little jaws drop.
“She’s so little,” Ryan says, awestruck. He reaches out to touch her before sharply pulling back, looking to you for permission.
“It’s okay, Ry,” you reassure him, punctuating the statement with another yawn. Your heart melts when he brushes his forefinger over her closed fist.
Eliza follows your lead, tiny mouth opening to let out a yawn of her own.
Luke wrinkles his nose. “Why is she tired?” he asks. “She doesn’t do anything!”
“Babies need lots of sleep,” you tell him. “Even more than your dad does.”
Eddie playfully narrows his eyes at you. “You’re lucky you just gave birth to my daughter.” My daughter. It hadn’t felt real when he’d said it when Eliza was still in utero, but now that she’s here, it holds a stronger meaning.
Wayne blinks back tears, trying not to show emotion, but his glassy gaze gives him away. “She’s beautiful, guys,” he manages, clearing his throat.
Eddie claps him on the back, both men sporting matching grins as they look down at Eliza.
Luke inspects his sister’s face, then her little fingers. “I was this small?” he asks.
“Smaller,” Eddie tells him. “You were a little over six pounds. Eliza here is just over seven.”
Ryan smiles when he hears her name spoken out loud, still in disbelief that this name that’s been going around now belongs to a person and it’s this tiny person who just came into the world.
Eliza’s eyes crack open just enough to tell she’s looking in Ryan’s direction, like she already knows that he’s her big brother.
“Hi, Eliza,” Ryan says softly, a huge grin plastered on his face. “I’m Ryan. I’m your oldest brother. But I’m not old.”
“I’m Luke,” Luke chimes in, waving at his new sister. “I’m the one who would always sing VeggieTales to you every night while you were in Mama’s belly.”
You know Luke referred to you as “mama” for Eliza’s sake, but with all the hormones rushing through you it still makes you tear up.
“Do you boys want to hold her?” you ask.
They glance nervously at one another, despite the fact that they both really want to. They’ve been around Amelia Harrington and Tiffany Sinclair as babies, but they’ve never held them, especially not when they were this small and fragile.
“If you’re not ready, that’s okay,” Eddie tells them comfortingly.
“No, I want to,” Ryan pipes up.
Wayne makes room for Eddie to bring the chair on the other side of the room up closer to the bed. Ryan sits down when his dad nods at him, while you make sure the blanket is securely swaddled around Eliza.
Eddie gets down on one knee next to Ryan. “Okay bud, you’ve got to support her head, yeah? She’s not strong enough to hold it up on her own so you have to help her out a little.”
Ryan nods as he scoots all the way back in the chair, eyes wide behind his glasses.
“Don’t worry,” Eddie tells him with a reassuring grin. Of course their father can see the nerves popping up in his two boys. “It’s easy. And I’ll be right here next to you if you need or want me to take her, okay?”
“Okay,” Ryan says, trying to portray more confidence than he feels.
You carefully hand Eliza to Eddie, who coos a bit once she’s in her father’s arms. Eddie holds her in the crook of his arm and Eliza lets out a content little sigh.
“Such a Daddy’s girl already,” you tease.
Eddie grins, still over the moon that he has a daughter. A daughter with you. And she’s finally here in his arms.
Wayne leans in to show Ryan how to hold his arms the best, balancing his elbows on the chair’s arms. “Just like that,” the older man says. “And you’ll hold her little head right here.”
Eddie carefully places Eliza into Ryan’s arms. Ryan’s lower lip juts out, overcome with emotion, as he looks down at the baby he’s holding. Of course, he’s always known that he’s a big brother, taking on the responsibilities and duties that come with it. But Luke’s been around since before Ryan can even remember. They’re only two years apart, it’s always been this way for them. Eliza is his new baby sister, though. A renewed sense of big brother love and protectiveness comes over him as he looks down at the dozing baby. She’s so little and she’s going to be coming home soon. There’s going to be a baby in the house. All these things that Ryan already knew are finally sinking in for him. It makes him chuckle for some reason. As he gazes down at Eliza, her tiny face pinching up and tiny coos coming from her tiny lips, Ryan just grins as a wave of happiness comes over him.
Eddie stands between Ryan in the chair and you in the bed, staying closer to his son just in case. As you watch Ryan with Eliza, you can’t help but get choked up by another round of emotions. The memories of meeting Ryan for the first time are still clear as day to you, as if they happened yesterday, not over five and a half years ago. The little six-year-old who was too shy to even say hello to you at first. It’s amazing how quickly after meeting him you came to adore the person that he is and have such an immense love for him. It seems like you only just blinked and there he is, holding his little sister. Eliza Marie Munson. Your and Eddie’s daughter. Even without the hormones coursing through you this would be emotional, but they’re certainly not helping either.
You slip your hand into Eddie’s and look up to see his own eyes filling with tears. Images of Ryan being born, being the small little baby coming into the world must be playing in his mind, you think. And now to see he’s grown into this compassionate, intelligent, handsome young man who is holding his baby sister with so much tenderness and love.
“H-Hi, Eliza,” Ryan says as he gazes down at her. “I knew you would be small but you’re smaller than a loaf of bread.”
You, Eddie, and Wayne all share a chuckle at that.
“I’m happy you’re here now,” Ryan tells her. “I’ll do my best to make sure Luke doesn’t get you into too much trouble.”
“Hey!” Luke pouts.
“Is he wrong though?” Eddie asks, raising an eyebrow at his youngest son—now his middle child as well.
“That’s besides the point,” Luke scoffs. He notices the tiny Band-Aid on Eliza’s foot. “What’s that for?”
“She had to get a shot,” you explain. “In her heel.”
Luke grins. “For scurvy?”
Eddie rolls his eyes. “No, Vitamin K, you little weirdo.”
“Oh,” Luke sighs dejectedly before adding, “but you need Vitamin C to prevent scurvy!”
Eddie leans in and whispers into Eliza’s little ear, “don’t ever listen to a word he says, please.”
Ryan looks up at Luke and nods his head towards their sister.  “You wanna hold her?”
“Is it hard?” Luke asks his older brother, face creased with worry. His voice has a slight tremor, as if he’s unsure if his nerves are getting the better of him or not.
“So easy,” Ryan assures him. “Just gotta make sure you got her head.”
“Okay,” Luke decides with a nod on finality. “I’ll do it.”
Eddie can’t help but think Luke sounds more like he’s agreeing to be a test subject for a science experiment. Ryan carefully hands Eliza back to Eddie and gets out of the chair so Luke can sit. Eliza coos again and you furrow your brow as you look at your tiny baby in your husband’s arms.
“Hey, I know you love your Daddy—we all do, but I’m the one who carried ya for nine months and then pushed you out of my body. Why don’t you make those cute noises for me?” you ask.
“Maybe she’s trying to yell at him in baby language,” Luke says as he sits down. “Who are you and why are you holding me and why do you have so much hair?!” Luke’s impersonation of what Eliza’s high-pitched voice would sound like has you and Ryan laughing. Acting just as childishly as the actual children in the room, Eddie sticks his tongue out at Luke.
Ryan shows Luke how to hold his arms and Wayne watches on with a smile, proud his grandson remembers the things he teaches him. Slowly, Eddie lowers Eliza into Luke’s awaiting arms.
Luke giggles once he’s finally holding her on his own.
“Oh my God, she barely weighs anything!”
“Tell that to my hoo-ha,” you mumble under your breath and slightly adjust the way you’re sitting in the bed.
“Hey, Eliza,” Luke says. At the sound of his voice, Eliza cracks her eyes open to inspect the new person holding her. “I’m gonna teach you all the things. Like ice skating and swimming and bowling and a whole lot of other stuff! And I’ll beat up any boys who are mean to you or break your heart.”
Your heart swells at the declaration he’s making to his sister—and you have no doubt he means what he says. She’s only been in this world a few hours and they’re already such amazing big brothers to her, you think.
All of a sudden, Luke starts laughing, but tries to keep it softer for the baby.
“Look, she’s smiling at me! She knows I’m the funny one.” He sticks his tongue out at Ryan, emphasizing the fact that Eddie was acting with the maturity of a ten-year-old when he just did the same thing.
“Uh, I don’t think that’s what it means,” Eddie warns, but not soon enough.
“Ew!” Luke exclaims, wrinkling his nose. “I am not changing a poopy diaper, nope!”
Eddie takes Eliza from him. “I got this,” he says softly.
You watch as your husband delicately changes her diaper, unable to hide his disgusted expression that matches Luke’s. Loving his daughter with every ounce of his being does not negate the odors that come along with her.
Your gaze drifts over to Ryan and Luke, who are watching their father intently. They take in every gentle touch and every soft word and smile Eddie gives to the newborn. You can feel your emotions welling up just thinking about how they’ll be such great dads one day because they have the best role model.
“Good as new,” Eddie proclaims, wrapping Eliza back up in her blanket. “You wanna hold your granddaughter, Wayne?”
Tears momentarily cloud the older man’s vision. “Give ‘er here.” He opens his arms and Eddie places the baby in the crook of his elbow. “Well, hi there, Ms. Eliza,” Wayne says with a smile. “We’re so glad you’re here. ‘S kind of a crazy family, but you’ll get used to us.”
As he says it, it dawns on you: this is your family. A doting husband who can make you feel loved without even trying, an uncle who would give you all the moon on a string if you asked, two stepsons who keep you laughing on your worst days, and now your daughter, who will grow up in a home filled with love and happiness.
As Wayne takes the boys back home—it’s past bedtime, and they have school in the morning—you can’t help but stare at Eddie. He’s exhausted from helping you through labor, but he can’t stop smiling.
“You did such an incredible job growing our little girl,” he murmurs into your scalp. “I love you so fucking much.”
“I love you more.” You look at him, then back down to the newborn in your arms. “But I’m pretty sure she’s the most loved.”

we have had so many Brothers Narratives in the NHL lately and idk if the "the just-as-talented-as-his-brother chris marner burns out of hockey young cause of his dad" thing has ever been confirmed but. man I'd love to peek into the timeline where that didn't happen if ur following my train of thought.
YEAH... chris is 4 years older which would make him draft eligible (probably) 2011... being as good or better than mitch means he's probably like a top-5 pick... (that's nugent-hopkins, landeskog, huberdeau, adam larsson, ryan strome)... so he gets sent far west, to florida, or new york... chris marner is also like a bigger guy than willowy little mitch so there would definitely be a Little (lichrallyyyy) Brother angle whenever chris came to town... i'm imagining tkachukoff but with a lot more pain and a lot less violence

Benny doesn’t know why he leaves.
He doesn’t know why every time he starts to settle, he feels the urge to bolt.
All he knows is that he always ends up in the same shitty bar, drinking the same shitty drinks in an attempt to drown out the same shitty noise in his head.
He doesn’t deserve you. He knows that, he’s known it from the moment he met you. You’re too good, too pure for a man who has spent the majority of his adult life killing people.  He thinks that’s why he feels that itch underneath his skin when he starts to feel content, why he starts to dream about Tom, about the bullet snapping back his head before he tumbles onto the rocks. Those are the nights that he wakes up fighting for breath, his body covered in a sheen of sweat as he struggles to untangle himself from the sheets.
He knows there’s something fundamentally broken inside of him, it feeds into the violence that he feels claw at his insides. It’s the reason he kicks the shit out of other men for money, he used to use MMA to channel some of that restlessness, but he hasn’t stopped by the gym since Tom. If he scrutinises it enough it’ll all come back to his childhood, an abusive drunk of a dad and an absentee mother. Vulnerability was a weakness in that house. You were punished either through ridicule or fists, most times both.
It's always been just him and Will, he thought it always would be. Then you came along, with a smile that rivals the sunrise and a compassion that he’s never found in anyone else. You shine so fucking bright, and he hates the thought of being the one that brings darkness into your world.
You’ve seen the nightmares, experienced them with him. Each and every single one leaves him raw and ruined, he fucking hates it because you see everything. All of his messiness, his anxiety, his terror. You see it all and that’s not the way it’s supposed to be. He’s supposed to be the strong one, the one you depend on, instead he finds himself cradled in your arms, your lips smoothing over his hairline as you whisper the sweetest words into his ear. He both loves it and hates it.
It’s Benny that starts the fight.
A guy knocks into him on the way to the john and he lashes out. He knows he could just let it go but the violence it acts like a vent. All that hate he has for himself, that fucking rage he feels because he’s screwing shit up, he throws it behind that first punch. The switch flips when his fist connects, the impact of bone upon bone, the splitting of skin. The soldier takes over completely, and he doesn’t have to worry about feelings, instead he focuses on the physicality, the beauty in the movement, the release in the agony.
It’s the bartender that calls Will.
Ryan knows Benny, knows that he’s a vet. He thinks that Benny must be suffering from some sort of PTSD. He comes in here every couple of months and either drinks himself into a stupor or starts a fight, Ryan usually lets it slide because Will is so good about paying for the damages. He’s tried talking to him a couple of times, mentioned counselling, but it’s like talking to a plank of wood, Benny doesn’t even seem hear him.
It's Will that eventually knocks some sense into this brother. The two of them sit in his truck outside your house while Benny clutches an icepack to the left side of his face.
“You can’t keep doing this.”  Will tells him, his hands gripping the steering wheel so hard that his knuckles turn white. “To me, to yourself, to her. It’s not fair.”
Benny leans back against the headrest and exhales.
“I know.” He says, tilting his head towards the window and squinting at the light you’ve left on the porch. “You should have just taken me home.”
“Benny…” Will murmurs, raising your eyes skyward.  “This is home, not that shitty little room you have above the Chinese place. You have a woman who loves you…”
“I don’t need you to fucking tell me that.”
“Then why are you trying to fuck it up?” Will snaps at him. “Why do we keep ending up here, over and over and over again?”
“Do you know what happens when she realises I’m a fuck up?” Benny asks softly as he stares out of the window, watching the rain patter on the glass.
“Oh, I think we are way past that.” Will tells him, undoing his seatbelt and angling his body towards his brother. “She’s still here and this is what…” he uses his fingers to count. “…the fourth time you’ve bolted.”
“I don’t know why I do it.” Benny admits, resting his forehead against the pane of glass. It feels cool against his skin as he closes his eyes. “It’s like as soon as I start to get comfortable a switch flicks and I just can’t stand to be here, I have to go back to what I know, the drinking, the fighting.”
“What about the women?” Will asks and Benny shakes his head.
“I tried once.” Benny tells him, shame creeping up inside of him. He can never keep a secret from Will, he’s surprised he’s managed to hold onto it for this long. “But I just couldn’t fucking do it.”
“The heart wants what the heart wants.” Will states, leaning back in his seat as he reviews his brother.  “And your heart wants her even though you keep trying to fuck shit up.”
“Yea.” Benny says quietly.
Will listens to the spatter of rain on the roof of the truck for a second before he breaks the silence.
“You know you need to get help right?”
Benny swallows hard about the ache in his chest. It sits like a weight, compacting his lungs until the air rushes out. He knows Will has had counselling for PTSD, he knows that it helped him after he tried to strangle that guy in the middle of the supermarket for refusing to move his trolley. It should embolden him, but instead it makes him want to shrink back and hide, because going to therapy means admitting that somethings wrong and he scared that he can’t be fixed.
“Benny.” Will says forcefully. “I’m serious.”
He can tell by the tone in Will’s voice that he’s worried, and he resents it. He shouldn’t be putting either of you through this shit time and time again, but he does. It’s like a bad habit ingrained into him, he doesn’t know how to shake it. He doesn’t want to be like this. He wants to be the man who stays, the one that you can rely on, he wants to be someone you can be proud of.  He realises that he needs to tell you that, because right now all you see is him spiralling.
“Yea. I know.” He tells his brother, his hand gripping the door handle. There’s an urgency inside of him now, he can feel it rushing through his veins. He needs to get out of the car, to assure you that he’s gonna try, he’s gonna do everything he can to beat this thing. “I’ll call the VA first thing.”
“Benny…”
“I promise I will.” Benny tells Will, kicking open the door with the bottom of his boot and slipping from the seat. “Right now, I just wanna go and see my girl.”
“Benny…” Will says, his gaze meeting Benny’s before he can slam the door closed. “You deserve to be happy.”
Benny says nothing. The truth is he wants to believe it, he really does but there’s this nagging voice in his head that sounds like Tom, telling him that he doesn’t get to have a happy ending. He closes the door before following the path leading up to the front of the house. He has a key, he has for months, but he still raps his knuckles on the surface of the door.
When you open it, you’re standing there in one of his shirts and a pair of black leggings. He expects to see disappointment but instead he sees relief, relief that he’s here, relief that he isn’t dead or arrested or in a hospital somewhere. He looks down at your feet and he realises you’re wearing a pair of his socks. For some reason that’s the thing that breaks him, you in his clothes, concern etched into your features. He hurtles into your arms, pressing his face into the curve of your neck as he gathers you up, holding you close. You are the best thing he has in his life right now and he can tell he's one wrong move away from losing you.
“I’m gonna try alright?” He whispers the words into your skin, his eyes fucking stinging. The tears leak down his cheeks as he breathes in the comforting scent of fresh linen clinging to your clothes.  “I promise I’m gonna try to get better.”

“Aaron.”
You didn’t expect that. You didn’t expect to see the love of your life, your son’s father, standing at the door. Never in a million years did you think he’d be at the home you once shared, especially when just the other day you were looking at the letter he wrote asking for a divorce.
Aaron looked at you, then looked at the baby in your arms. He immediately stepped into your home and kissed you.
You melted into him. You longed for it. A little over a year in a half since you’ve seen him. A year and a half and there have been so much that’s happened. At that moment, everything felt right, all that you were missing was Jackers, your other son. It also made you think about Ryan. Ryan was still in your arms and his mom was making out with his father.
You felt Ryan’s hand move from your arm to push Aaron away. Aaron pulled away from you and Ryan looked at him even more.
Before you spoke to Aaron, you heard a little voice. You thought it was Ryan’s, but it was another little voice. One you hadn’t heard in so long. The one voice you were happy to hear.
Jack came around the corner and yelled, “Mom!”
When you opened up your other arm for Jack to run into, you then heard another little voice. One that wasn’t Jack’s, it was Ryan’s.
“Ack!”
You immediately looked at Ryan. That was the first word he spoke. Aaron was here to hear it for the first time. You were sure Aaron was just as confused when you first opened up the door. But he didn’t care.
Aaron had figured it all out. You and him had a baby. It had to have been his, you were still wearing the wedding ring, he bought you. Still had the same porch sign that he built, that was his FBI sweatshirt that you were wearing. It had to be his baby, he had the same eyes and hair as him. His son was a year old and Aaron left a year and 7 months ago. It had to be his. At least that’s what he’d keep telling himself.
“You’re right, Ryan. That’s your big brother, Jack. Can you say it again for Mommy and Daddy?”
“Ack! Ack!”
He then pointed to Aaron and said “Dada” with the biggest smile on his little face.
Aaron had tears in his eyes. The last time you saw him like this was when he was saying goodbye to you. What you didn’t was that he cried every night thinking about you and losing you to some other guy, because if Aaron was being honest with himself, he didn’t deserve you.
“Dada. Ack.”
Ryan reached towards Aaron and Aaron gladly accepted Ryan into his arms. You immediately pulled out your phone and took a picture of Ryan laying his head on Aaron’s shoulder.
Jack looked up at you and said, “I have a baby brother?”
“You do, Jack. His name’s Ryan, do you like him? I’m sorry you and Dad had to wait so long to meet him.”
“I love him!”
It was emotional for all 3 of you. Ryan was not exactly sure why everyone was crying, but he was just happy to meet his dad and brother for the first time, not seeing them in pictures, they were real.
You promised that you would always tell Ryan about his daddy and his big brother and you did, every day. You had pictures all over the house of Aaron and Jack. Every time he woke up, you always walked down the hall, stepped into Aaron’s office, sitting in the desk chair.
“This is daddy’s office. Look, here’s a picture of Daddy and your big brother, Jack.”
Your son was only 3 days old, but you didn’t care. You needed Ryan to know who Aaron and Jack were. They’re his family.
As months went on and as he began to crawl, you started putting the pictures lower for him to see. You would do tummy time with Ryan and say, “here’s daddy. Look, come here.”
You began to record Ryan and he would point and start babbling. It made you smile. He was growing so fast that you felt like every second you turned your head, he was growing.
As he grew older every day, you prayed that Aaron and Jack would show up at your doorstep so they could see all the milestones that your son was going through. But every day, it pained you. It pained you because you didn’t know where your husband and stepson were. All you had was a reminder of them when you looked at your son Ryan.
But every day, just as you promised yourself, you woke up, telling Ryan stories of his superhero Dad and artistic, funny older brother, Jack.
You were snapped out of your trance, realizing that Aaron, Jack, and Ryan were together as a family. You pulled your family into the house, not forgetting that you still had a birthday party to get ready for.
“Jack, Aaron, I know we have a lot to discuss, and I know you want to get in so much time with Ryan, but we have to set up for Ryan’s 1st birthday. So come on.”
You heard a car door shut and Jack said, “Uncle Nick!”
Nick’s head turned, yelling “JACK!”
Jack and your brother were extremely close. Jack took a liking to Nick when they met for the first time. Nick treated Jack as his own biological nephew. Aaron and Nick grew even closer to that.
You watched as Nick held Jack in his arms.
Aaron had looked down at you and kissed your forehead. You leaned into him and Ryan said, “Dada.”
“That’s right, baby. That’s your daddy.”
You peered your head up at Aaron and you pulled him down for a kiss, whispering how happy you were to see him, happy that he was home, happy he was safe.
“I know we have a lot to talk about, but I promise we will.”
Nick had walked back in with Jack and shook Aaron’s hand. Ryan reached out towards Nick and your brother grabbed him. Ryan pointed at Aaron and was telling Nick, “Dada. Dada.”
Nick immediately lit up at hearing his nephew talk. Nick had been trying so hard with you on teaching Ryan who Aaron and Jack were. He was happy to see that it had paid off. Not to mention a day before Ryan turns 1.
Nick said, “We got a lot of work to do Hotchners. People are coming in three hours. Jack, with me! We have some building to do.”
You took Ryan from Nick and watched as Jack went with Nick to the backyard. You moved throughout the house to the kitchen.
Aaron was looking around. He would have never imagined that he’d get to come back to his wife after over a year and a half. The last time Jack and his wife went into WITSEC, he never got to see her alive again.
However, when he was looking around to see all the toys on the floor, little remnants of the baby puffs that Jack used to love all over the kitchen floor, it made his heart warm. This was his new life now. He had a one-year-old son. He missed out on 1 year of raising his son. He was in awe of you. You were Supermom in his eyes.
Aaron was an organized man, he liked everything kept tidy, blankets folded when they weren’t being used, Jack’s toys picked up when he wasn’t playing with them, but seeing Ryan running around the house with his stuffed police dog, blankets on the floor, toys and books in every single room, it made Aaron feel safe, comfortable like his life was supposed to be like this; organized chaos.
He didn’t realize he hadn’t moved from his spot until he heard you yell from the kitchen. He quickly moved into the kitchen and saw you cleaning.
“Where’s Ryan?”
“It’s okay, Aar. He’s playing, I have the stairs blocked off, he can only come in here, the family room, and the playroom.”
Aaron had put a hand on your back to stop you from cleaning. He just wanted to be with you. It had been over a year and a half, that year and a half he’ll never get back. He quickly kissed you, turning you around in his arms so that he could hold your waist.
You threaded your fingers into his hair. God, you missed him. You had missed the dire need pooling in your stomach to just have him in your bed again, to hold him, to dance with him, laugh with him, but he was here, in the house he built for your family. He was here and you weren’t ever going to let him go.
You heard a pitter-patter sound, knowing your baby boy was coming into the room and you moved away from Aaron.
“I promise we will talk, but you need to help me. The quicker you help me, the quicker we can catch up. Now, his bottle is in the fridge, I need you to warm it up for me, you can feed him.”
You continued to clean up, Aaron and Ryan sitting in the kitchen together. Once everything was cleaned up, you walked into the kitchen. Aaron was feeding Ryan. You took a picture and saved it into your album.
You sat next to Aaron and he looked at you, tears in his eyes again.
“He’s so beautiful. I can’t believe we have a son.”
“He is, I hope you don’t mind the name. I know it was one of Jack’s.”
Aaron cut you off, “favorite character’s from his TV show.”
He smiled at you and then leaned to kiss you. You put your hand on the back of his head, playing with the hair at the back of his neck. You were in awe of Aaron and how good he was with Ryan. He was an amazing father to Jack, and you know that Aaron deserved to be a father again.
“When did you find out you were pregnant?”
“3 weeks after you were gone. Nick helped me with everything. Aaron, I begged them to tell you, to let me see you, but they said they couldn’t.”
Aaron shook his head and said, “You know my job used to mean the world to me, but, but now that I’m a dad to another little boy, I can’t go back. I’ve missed out on so much with Jack, I’ve already missed out on a year with this little guy. I’m putting in for retirement.”
You shook your head. He loved the BAU. He’s filled with so many emotions, emotions he’s not good at dealing with upfront, he is used to just pushing them down. Retirement would be a conversation for another time. Right now, you were going to show and tell him everything about Ryan.
“I didn’t find out I was having a boy until I gave birth. It was a great surprise.”
“See, I told you it’s best to not find out the gender! You deserve to be surprised!”
You kissed him and when he went to move, Ryan started to stir in his sleep. He looked at you and you placed your hand on his arm.
“Relax, he’s still in a deep sleep. You’re not doing anything wrong, Aar.”
He looked back down at Ryan and you continued, “Nick’s been a lifesaver. You know I’ve always been close to him, but even now more than ever. I’ve been saving an album with all of the milestones of my pregnancy to up to date.”
You scrolled through your camera roll, showing him all the videos. This was the first time he was seeing his son as a newborn, 3-month-old, 6 months old6-month-old, etc.
“He was so tiny.”
“Really? You’re saying that to the one who had to push the big Hotchner out?”
You punched him in the shoulder and he said, “I know. I know. I can’t believe I missed out on all of it.”
“Don’t worry, you’ll be here for the next one.”
“Next one? Why would you want to have another baby with me?”
“Are you serious right now? You’re my husband. My very hot husband. If we didn’t have Jack or Ryan, I’d take you right here, right now, and make a baby with you.”
“I wasn’t there for you.”
“Aaron, you couldn’t help going into witness protection. You were protecting our son. I know you’d do anything for our family, but our priority is to keep everyone safe, by you going into witness protection, you kept us all safe, even our baby, who you didn’t even know existed. Aaron, listen, before we got married we talked about having a couple kids together. So what if you weren’t here for Ryan’s first year of life. Was it hard? Yes, 100%. I will not lie to you about that but guess what, I figured it out because I was hoping every day it’d get me closer to getting you and Jack back. Just because you weren’t here for Ryan’s first year of life, doesn’t mean that when we have the next one you have to go away for almost two years. You’ll be here, you have to know that. I love you, Aaron, you’re the best father, the best husband, and my best friend. Jack and Ryan are lucky to have you as their father. So, short story, yes, I want to have more kids with you because I love you and I don’t want to have anyone else’s babies.”
He took his free arm and pulled you in close to him, kissing you. The last time he kissed like this, you were sure led to the result of Ryan.
He pulled away from you and looked past you to the window where Nick and Jack were kicking the soccer ball around.
“You know, our son is sleeping, our other son is playing soccer with your brother, and we haven’t gotten laid in almost two years.”
“It’ll probably be quick for you, right?”
“I have to get two out of you first?”
“I don’t think so big guy. We don’t have that much time.”
You and Aaron got up from the couch and you walked Aaron down the hall to Ryan’s nursery. He placed Ryan in the crib and you took the baby monitor. Aaron grabbed your hand and ran down the hall to your bedroom.
He shut and locked the door, picked you up, and laid you down on the bed, beginning to kiss up and down your neck.
“Aaron! We don’t have time for that. Save that for later, we have to make this quick.”
You began to mess with his belt buckle until you heard Ryan’s cries come through the baby monitor. Before you had time to tell Aaron to let him self-soothe, he was fixing his belt and running out the door. You watched him through the baby monitor and he picked Ryan up from his crib and sat in the rocking chair with him.
“Hi baby boy, it’s your daddy. I know you’re going to be 1 tomorrow, but no matter what, you’ll always be my baby boy. You are very lucky to have such a good mommy. She deserves the world, maybe with you, Jack, and I, we can give that to her, because I know I can’t give it to her without help.”
You turned off the baby monitor, not wanting to hear Aaron talk so negatively about himself. He was a great father, of course, would be upsetting to anyone, and you are trying to place yourself in his shoes, but it’s just so hard because you don’t know what it was like from Aaron’s perspective to be away from the love of his wife. Granted, he didn’t know he had another son, it just made it worse for him because he now knew that while he was in protective custody, his wife was going through pregnancy and parenting for a year on her own.
You walked into the nursery and said, “People are going to be here in 20 minutes for the party, can you please get him dressed. I know he’s up.”
“5 more minutes.”
“Aaron, get him dressed, you can hang out with him when he’s done.”
“It amazes you how the strict unit chief came completely soft when it came to his family, it’s like you were dealing with another child.”
Nick came in with Jack and Jack said, “Mom! Uncle Nick is still not good at soccer.”
“Maybe you just got better Jackers!”
Nick said, “I’m going to run home, and shower, I’ll be back with the kids in a bit. Rossi was picking up food?”
“Correct, thank you again, Nick.”
You hugged your brother. You owed him so much. Your brother knew you’d do anything for him, that’s why he was doing everything for you.
Aaron walked out of Ryan’s room and Jack said, “Dad! I want to hold him! I want to hold him.”
Aaron said, “Alright, come sit down. We’ll see if Ryan will-”
“Ack! Ack!”
Jack sat on the couch and you started recording. Aaron knelt down in front of Jack and put Ryan on Jack’s lap. Ryan had leaned into Jack and at that moment, you were proud. Proud of yourself for raising your son, proud of yourself for teaching Ryan who his big brother was and who his dad was. There were times you thought you weren’t doing anything right, but at this moment, you did something right.
“Ack! Dada!”
“Dad, why is he not saying Jack?”
“Well, it’s hard for babies to talk. Mom’s been trying to get Ryan to talk, but it’s hard for him. Today was the first time he’s ever spoken. His first word was your name, buddy.”
Jack said, “Will he say, Jack? Or am I going to have to change my name?”
Youc hcukled and said, “No. No, you won’t have to change your name, Jack. How could you? You’re our little Jackers. As Ryan gets a little older, he’ll say Jack. I promise. Here, smile boys.”
Aaron moved out of the way and you took a picture of Ryan and Jack.
“Perfect, Aaron, get in the picture.”
Ryan said, “Dada!”
As Aaron was smiling for the camera, Ryan was smiling and reaching for him while Jack was looking down and smiling at his little brother. It was a perfect photo of Aaron and his kids. Once you took another of all three of them looking and smiling, you put your phone away and let Ryan and Jack play with some toys. You and Aaron were adding some finishing touches up to the decorations.
After all the shocked expressions of your family and friends that Aaron and Jack were back, everyone was so happy for your family. You 4 all got to be the Hotchners again. As it was getting time to sing Happy Birthday, Aaron lit the candles and began to walk toward Ryan’s highchair. He held the cake on the end as you stood on the opposite side.
Everyone sang happy birthday and Nick took a picture of you 4. Your first family photo. One you would treasure forever.
Jack had opted to sleep over at Henry’s house, who had missed his best friend entirely. You were cleaning up as Aaron was giving Ryan a bath.
You looked at the pictures from the day, smiling so much when you saw your family photo of you, Aaron, Jack, and Ryan. It made you think how lucky you are that Aaron and Jack came home safe to you and Ryan.
“Uh, honey. Ryan won’t lay down in his crib.”
You missed your husband entirely. Ryan was wide awake when you were wanting to go to bed. He never wanted to calm down.
After trying various places in the house to get him to sleep, he never did. Until it dawned on you. You used to go into Aaron’s office all the time when you were pregnant with Ryan to get him to stop doing flips. Aaron’s couch being the comfiest thing sometimes.
As Ryan grew older, he’d only fall asleep in Aaron’s office. It was his safe space, something that he got used to.
You started putting Ryan’s crib in there, if he was going to fall asleep in there, so be it. As long as he was getting to sleep at a normal time, you’d take anything you could get.
As time went on, you slowly found yourself walking in there without even realizing it. You’d sit in Aaron’s desk chair as your son would lay on the couch until he fell asleep.
****
“He wants to go into your office, Aaron.”
“What do you mean? He shouldn’t be in there if I have case files.”
“Aaron, you haven’t worked in your office in a little under two years. There are no case files for him to see. When I was pregnant, I’d go and sleep on your couch in your office. It was a way for him to settle down, and it made me feel closer to you.”
Ryan grabbed his blanket and stuffed police dog and said, “Dada.”
You and Aaron followed Ryan into Aaron’s office and Ryan climbed onto the couch. You sat in Aaron’s desk chair and he looked at you.
Ryan laid down on the couch and waved to you and Aaron.
“Goodnight Ry. Mommy loves you.”
You leaned over to kiss him on top of the head and Aaron knelt down next to the couch.
“I love you so much, little buddy. I’ll see you in the morning, I love you.”
Ryan smiled and Aaron fixed Ryan’s blanket, then placed a kiss on Ryan’s head. Ryan was quickly out like a light.
Aaron sat on the edge of his desk, watching him sleep. The emotions and everything was catching up with Aaron. He was in shock, happy, and upset with himself, he really was all over the place.
You placed your hand on his knee. Standing up and moving in between his legs. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close.
“So, it’s become a habit for Ryan to fall asleep in here. Once he’s asleep for about an hour or so, I wake him up and move him over to his bedroom, then he goes to sleep. He’s already so close to you, Aaron, you should be happy about that. He trusts you, he trusts the place that you work in.”
You grabbed his hands and said, “Come on, let’s see if we can get him in his room early. I want to sit on the couch with you and hang out.”
Aaron picked up Ryan from the couch and walked him into the nursery. Aaron placed him down carefully and Ryan stayed asleep the entire time. You grabbed the baby monitor and walked out with Aaron.
Sitting on the couch, you were showing him all the pictures that you couldn’t finish showing him early, too much excitement in the household.
“I am so proud of you. You did an amazing job raising our son. I could not have been any luckier to have a baby with you. A strong, independent woman, hell, you didn’t need me.”
“Well, I kinda did, to make Ryan, but the rest I didn’t.”
Aaron rolled his eyes while you chuckled. You showed him pictures from today and he said, “This is my new favorite photo.”
“Mine too.”
It was the family photo from earlier and you went to post it on social media. You captioned it. “Here we are a year later. 1 year ago, I had no idea when I’d ever see my husband and son again, but today, we got to celebrate our son’s first birthday together. A year ago I posted a photo of Ryan and me and photoshopped Aaron and Jack into it with the comment, “Even though there are people who don’t stay in your life forever, maybe they made your life beautiful in some way, and that is important to remember.” Today, I’m posting our first family photo from Ryan’s birthday party. Aaron and Jack came into my life a little over 6 years ago, I thought they’d be in my life forever, and I made sure that stayed a promise until they had to go into witness protection. If anything, I’ve learned that Aaron and Jack are staying in my life forever, they’re the things that Make My Life Beautiful.”
You put the phone down and Aaron began to kiss you.
“I’m never leaving, not without you, ever again. My life was ugly before I met you, I lost Haley in the divorce, lost time away from Jack, wasn’t the father I hoped to be, then lost Haley to Foyet, but then you came into Jack and I’s life. You and Ryan make our life beautiful, Mrs. Hotchner. I’ll be damned if I ever let someone take me away from you ever again.”

Note
Have you made a list or notes on whumpy Hallmark and if so where?🥺
You know what, I haven't yet! Let me do that for ya now. And if anyone wants to add their favs please do so!
A Gift To Remember: Darcy (Ali Liebert) hits Aiden (Peter Porte) while riding her bike and he gets knocked out and loses his memory. It’s pretty good.
Love on the Sidelines : Laurel (Emily Kinney) is a struggling fashion designer who finds herself with a job as a personal assistant for Danny (John Reardon), a quarterback sidelined with an broken ankle. Danny is on crutches for most of the movie and is recovery from his injury.
Spirit of Christmas: A young lawyer (Jen Lilley) finds romance with a spirit (Thomas Beaudoin) that takes the form of a human 12 days before Christmas. He was murdered and there are flashbacks to him being attacked and killed.
Christmas Homecoming: Stars Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson from SG1!!) as an Army Captain recovering from an injury in battle. He's got a broken leg and suffers from survivors guilt and ptsd.
Hailey Dean Mysteries: Deadly Estate for some good poisoning whump of a medical examiner. You want unconscious? medically induced coma? respirator? bedside vigils? worry? waking up with a twitching hand? walking down the hospital floor holding onto their iv pole? Then this is the movie for you!
Love Blossoms: one small part when the main guy, Declan, gets sick with a cold during the movie. It’s kind of cute but the rest of the movie's got nothing.
Second Chances: "A badly injured leg forces fireman Jeff, who lost his father in a fire as a young boy, to rent a ground floor room during his recovery. Thus he moves in with Jenny, a 911 emergency call center operator, and her two young children, Luke and Elsie, who soon dote on him as an ideal substitute father and try matching him with their mother."
My Gal Sunday: Henry (Cameron Mattheson) gets shot in the beginning of the movie.
Signed Sealed Delivered Lost Without You: Oliver goes on a hike with his father. His dad trips and gets a seemingly innocuous injury on his leg but the two of them get lost in the woods and the injury turns out to be life threatening.
A Godwink Christmas Miracle of Love: Eric (Alberto Frezza) is run over by a plow near the end of the film. There's lots of surgery, worry, hospital stuff.
Retreat to Paradise: "Jordan is recovering from a shoulder injury and his grumpiness tempts Ellie, his carer, to leave him to his misery. But will romance finally blossom?"
The Christmas Waltz: Roman (Will Kemp) hits his head due to slipping on an icy sidewalk and has to go to hospital
Taking a Shot at Love: "Sparks fly between a ballet instructor and a professional hockey player as she tries to help him recover from the same injury that sidelined her dancing career." It's not got a lot of whump but it is about a hockey player in rehab.
Martha's Vineyard Mysteries series: The whole series. Jesse Metcalfe's character Jeff was shot on a previous case and the bullet is still in lodged in his back and it causes him pain a lot AND he continually has nightmares about the incident. It's great.
Mystery 101: Killer Timing: Travis (Kristopher Polaha) gets blown up and even though the aftermath doesn't last long its still wonderful. He gets knocked out, there's an ambulance and hospital scene (kinda), worried family members.
Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater: Maggie O'Donnell (Ashley Williams) accidentally breaks Lucas Cavelli (Niall Matter)'s arm while carrying a Christmas Tree and offers him a room to stay in when he can't find a hotel room cause she feels guilty.
A Timeless Christmas: Charles Whitley (Ryan Paevey) passes out in 1903 and wakes up in 2020.
Aurora Teagarden A Bundle of Trouble: Martin Bartell (Yannick Bisson) gets shot in the shoulder
Christmas on the Range: Clint McCree (Nicholas Gonzalez) is attacked and beaten up pretty badly.
Mix Up in the Mediterranean: Josh (Jeremy Jordan)'s twin brother Julian gets hurt and can’t do a cooking competition so Josh takes over.
The Christmas Cure: Mitch (Steve Byers) falls off ladder and gets a concussion
Love's Christmas Journey: Sheriff Aaron Davis (Greg Vaughan) gets shot in the leg while chasing a robber. His injury is bad and gets infected. He gets a fever and is rescued by an old man who cares for him. The wound needs cauterizing and he suffers fever, chills, and more.
Hearts in the Game: Diego Vasquez (Marco Grazinni) is a hot shot baseball pitcher who has a panic attack during a game which costs the team the game. Turns out it was triggered by the anniversary of his moms death and he has another panic attack later in the movie as well.
Fourth Down in Love is about an athlete who is sidelined by an injury. Broken ribs I think?
Rip in Time: Another fun time travel movie. Rip (Niall Mater) gets knocked out at least once.
Three Wise Men and a Baby: Paul Campbell's character has social anxiety and has a sort of panic attack in the park at the beginning of the movie.
Jolly Good Christmas: Will Kemp's character falls into a frozen river and he comes out shaking and shivering and she gets him a blanket and tea and he needs a hot shower.
That's all I've got for right now. The bolded ones have the best whump in my opinion so definitely check those out first :) Love's Christmas Journey and the Martha's Vineyard Mysteries are A+ whump hallmark movies. Do those first ;)
