Okay so i've watched Encanto. So let me present you...
Encanto characters: Marvel AU
Luisa is obviously Hulk. Except she doesn't have this multiple personalities thing, she jaust is increadibly strong.
Dolores, my beloved, is Daredevil because Matt's real power was his intence hearing and Dolores has similar power. Also just imagine her in Daredevil suit
Pepa is Storm. Self-explanatory.
Camilo is Mistique (i'm not sure if i spell the name right, english is not my native language and in russian her name is much easier to spell)
I don't know a marvel superhero who can see the future so let's just make Bruno Professor X bc they have similar vibes (in Days of Future Past Charles has struggles similar to Bruno's)
Mirabel is Iron Man because she doesn't have superpowers but she's really creative and brave and i think she would be great with tech
Add more if you want!

I think I cracked the code this morning and why Thor: Ragnarok was so good. Lets take the Marvel movies up to that point.
Iron Man and Iron Man 2, rough around the edges with a group of competent but snarky individuals.
The Incredible Hulk, increadably rough but people had set goals even if thinks just sort of kept happening.
Thor, a TV Sitcom Special for all intents and purposes. Everything felt plastic but its was neat and set the ground for later mythological references.
Captain America: Grade A, American Fantastized Heroism, bottled up in corny sauce.
Marvel’s the Avengers: Still rough but snappy, quick witted, and iconic at this point.
Iron Man 3 and Thor the Dark World: Dark, gritty, and a mess with like little to no pay off whatsoever.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Iconic music but over all a mediocre film imo, it was very rough around the edges and feels akin to Justice League the way the Guardians sort of came together.
Ant-Man: Lets make a heist film where the hero is the slowest one in the room with some funny narrative cinematogrophy.
Age of Ultron: Tiresome, unfocused, a mess but it progresses the story and like Iron Man 2, it feels like its setting ground for a future film...speaking of which
Captain America: Civil War, actually solid. Tony and Steve bounce off each other, Black Panther is introduced, we get our first truly competent villain who is more about the grander scheme than just the villain of the moment.
Doctor Strange: Really weird, not sure the pay off was worth it.
NOW!
Thor: Ragnaork: EVERYONE! and I mean EVERYONE! Is a goddamn idiot, bumbling across the plot. Its not heroic, its now particularly witty. Its a bunch of gods and super humans being awkward at a Senior Prom with a villianess from like an evil empire film thrown into what is practically Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I mean stuff happens but it just sort of happens beyond what anyone does. Even Helya’s entire arc is just her trying to get her plan to work when the rest of the movie is entirely disinterested in what she has going on.

So having watched Eternals, I just have to say. Wow. It was a truely increadable film. But there were aspects I did not particularly enjoy. All of the flashbacks gave the film a non-linear timeline. I understand why they did the flashbacks that way, but they annoyed me. But I don't really think there was any other way they really could have done it. Maybe the back story could have been like a tv show to watch previously but not everyone would watch it and they would be confused. Or they could have spit the movie into 2 parts, the backstory and the current plot, but that also wouldn't work very well. So what I'm saying I guess is that they did an excellent job with figuring out the only way they could really deliver exposition to the movie.
The symbolism in the film (the parallels I mean) are very obvious. I personally saw the Matrix in the film. The Sentinels remind me of the Sentinels from the Matrix. The tentacles they pull out also remind me of the Matrix, in The Matrix Revolutions where the Machine leader guy (the one with the face) brought out all the chords to allow Neo to re-enter the Matrix and defeat Agent Smith. Although the chords also reminded me of the chords used in Insurgent (Divergent movie) to force Tris to unlock the "special box".
I also saw some DC characters. Like that Ikarus was very clearly Superman, and he reminds me of Thor, but the nature of his powers make me think of his as vision. And StarFox was Shazam. And on the note of Superman, Marvel and now established that Superman exsists in the Marvel universe??!?!!!!?!? Like, bold move. I wonder if they had to pay DC any royalties for that. They probably did. Anyways, Ajax kinda reminded me of Hippolyta (the queen of the Amazons) from Wonder Woman. And to be honest, Sirse seems like the obvious choice to be Wonder Woman, but I personally thinkt that Thena is Wonder Woman. Shes got the gold armour, and the golden weapons, and she stands for truth, she also reminds me of Captain Marvel. And of course Kingo is Batman and his valet Karun is Alfred. Makkari is The Flash ,bcz she has the speed, but she's also deaf, like Hawkeye. Gilgamesh reminds me of The Hulk, because of his glowy fists and extreme strength.
The characters in the movie also very strongly remind me of the X-Men. The Deviants are like the Sentinels, designed to eliminate the eternals, and can absorb their powers (like Sentinels can change their attributes to defeat the mutants.) Ajax was definitely Charles Xavier, even though Druig has his powers, in that she was their leader, and clearly the leader. Ikarus is Magneto, because he shared an original goal with Ajax (Professor X) and he choose a different path than her to achieve his goal, one that resulted in countless deaths. Although Phastos's powers are closer to Magneto's. And because he thinks he is the saviour and into the right . Also because he can fly. And his lazer eyes also make his resemble Cyclops. But he definitely does not have Cyclops's personality. Thena is obviously Jean Grey. She has the fractured mind and randomly attacks her teammates/family because of this. Gilgamesh is clearly Cyclops because of his attachment to Thena (Jean) because of his undying love for her. If we're being honest here, Sprite reminds me of Kitty Kyle. And no, not just because she's short. She's got the rebellious attitude, and annoyance at everyone for treating her like a child. Since Makkari is a speedster, that definitely makes her Quicksilver. And she's also got the carefree flashy attitude that is defining of Quicksilver. I think Kingo is GamBit. He, like GamBit, has the ability to shoot tiny explosive projectiles. He's also very flashy and definitely has the same show-offy presence that GamBit does. Druig also seems like he would be Magneto, but I'm not sure if he is. Sersi is Rouge. She may not have Rouge's powers, but she has the same presence of danger and don't mess with me or I'll hurt you. Gilgamesh is definitely Wolverine. He is in love with Jean Grey, and is willing to protect her at all costs. He's got the build and the attitude of Wolverine.
Another thing that I want to mention, that has no real place to fit in to my analysis, but since Phastos has those magic ring things, could he have been the origin/inspiration for the Ten Rings?
All of the Eternals also have established themselves as Greek gods and a part of Greek mythology. Thena is Athena, as stated in the film, the goddess of wisdom and the female goddess of war, shown by her weapons and fierce attitude. Sprite is Artemis, because of her eternal youth and clear appreciation for animals. Phastos is Hephaestus because he is big, and a tinkerer. He invents lots of steampunk stuff and the intricate golden rings that make up all his inventions are trademark of Hephaestus's status as a Greek god who utilises celestial bronze. As we were also explained in the film, Sprite invented the story of Icarus flying too close to the sun because obviously Icarus can fly. But I also think that Ikarus is Zeus. He is big, bold, powerful, and clearly thinks of himself as the leader. But he is also stubborn and refuses to admit any wrongs that are happening. Sirse is obviously Circe, the female enchantress, as shown through her ability to transform things into other things. But I also think that she is Hera, married to Zeus (Ikarus) and their relationship is rocky. Sirse is also Hera because of the fact that regardless of what everyone may think, Zeus isn't calling all the shots, it's Hera, and she is the true leader. Druig is Hades. He wears black, is angsty, and hella emo. He is also misunderstood, and everyone looks down upon him because his power is something they don't really approve of. Everyone always blames him, but he just wants to do his job and what's right, and not being able to do it tears him apart inside. Makkari is, I think, a mix of Hermes and Persephone. She is Persephone in that she is sunny and bright, and is in love with Hades (Druig), but Hermes in the way that she is fast, and playful. She is a messenger and the first to scout out anything for her family. Ajak is Aphrodite in my book because, she was there for a short time, but she moved the group in ways they wouldn't have before. She told Ikarus to tell Sirse how he felt and they ended up together. Kingo is Dionysus for obvious reasons. He's flashy, a party boy, and cares about the fame. He also doesn't seem to really ever be serious and put himself out on TV and made up elaborate lies to keep doing it. I believe as well that Gilgamesh is Ares because he is the figehr type, has a big build, and is over a don't mess with em person, who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect his family. I also think that Arishem is Kronos. The all powerful father with evil intentions of destruction that uses his children to maintain his ideals.
