Summary: (Y/N) a good hacker who also work on their suits

Warnings: (Y/N) is just good, nothing particular,

(Y/N) was smart and his IQ rivaled Lucius Fox's and Bruce wanted to develop that mind even more. (Y/N) was adopted when he tried to hack into the Batcomputer and he became a family member within a few weeks. Everyone loved him, but Tim loved him the most. (Y/N) wasn't made for the field, so he stayed with Alfred to hack and work as an Oracle number 2.

Bruce enjoyed how fast he could hack into the comms, lines, track... It was much more easier and the boys made it known to (Y/N) that he is the best. Tim also said that (Y/N) is the number one hacker and that he is the king.

(Y/N) often laughs when he hears it as he hacks away on the Batcomputer. Alfred chuckles as he serves them both tea to drink during the night. (Y/N) was also in charge of making sure that the Batcomputer and security are secure as they can be.

Bruce made sure that he is rewarded for his efforts and Tim would try to hack in as a test, but (Y/N) is just too good. Even Lex said that whoever hacks for Batman is good. (Y/N) got an ego afterwards, but he didn't show it.

Bruce paired him up with Lucius and (Y/N) has officially flourished. Officially. Lucius was very knowledgeable and (Y/N) was almost like a sponge, taking in everything he could. Bruce made him an intern too, so he has some money on the side for himself to spend on what ever he wants.

(Y/N) couldn't be happier with the arrangement. It was just amazing to have somebody pushing you to be the best and develop your intelligence. Thankfully, Bruce is a nurturing type and he made sure to nurture his intellingence.

Of course, Bruce just didn't do it to (Y/N), but also to his other children too. He wanted his children to be the best of the best and if that meant making sure that some of their weird demands were met. Sometimes he wondered how he manages to do this as a single father.

Lucius took (Y/N) under his wing and (Y/N) has been getting into making suits and Lucius has been nothing but supportive. (Y/N) has been learning a whole lot and it made him feel happy. That's how he started inventing on his own in the cave.

There were a lot of time where Bruce had to drag out (Y/N) to go to sleep. (Y/N) and Bruce would fight at times because (Y/N) just wanted to work to create something useful for them, but Bruce said nope and dragged him to bed, then squeezed him tight.

(Y/N) has tried to get out of Bruce's hold, but Bruce spooned him rather tightly. It was not fun, but it felt nice, (Y/N) couldn't say no to affection. He did complain, but it was too keep up an image.

Image that has been shattered, but nobody had the heart to tell him that his image has been shattered a long time ago.

spencer is smart. very smart. he knows this, and everyone around him does too.

he was a child prodigy and by the ripe age of twenty-three, he was holding three doctorates, two bachelors and a job that had him set for life.

he’s confident in his ability to analyze, to put bits and pieces of information together to solve for the final product. his team relies on him to connect dots and find hidden patterns—things only he knows and understands.

things that are textbook—science and facts, spencer has no problem understanding it all.

but you, you’re not a law of physics, or a math equation or a criminal he needs to psychoanalyze.

you’re just you.

and spencer, as enamoured as he is, is terrified.

your patience with him is almost unnerving. he knows he’s not the easiest to love. he likes his space and he drowns himself in work. lunchtime phone calls that are usually ten minutes minimum, shrink to a “hello, how are you, see you later,” because he gets so caught up in figuring out a case that he not only neglects you, but himself too.

he’s not muscly and he’s kind of clumsy. tripping, fumbling, you name it. he talks with his hands and he’s knocked down too many things in your tiny apartment.

if you didn’t like him for his outer, then all that’s left is his personality.

not only is he clumsy physically, he’s even worse romantically. tripping over words and awkward out-of-the-blue magic tricks in attempts to salvage himself. but he’s made you laugh a lot, so he likes to think it makes up for his embarrassment.

he misses casual social cues and doesn’t quite understand jokes, but he’s sure that you’re the most amazing person he’ll ever know.

long story short: he just isn’t boyfriend material. he doesn’t know how to be and isn’t sure what step to take to becoming.

-You made friends, good friends with other geniuses throughout history, Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, Galileo, Isaac Newton, and Thomas Edison- and you enjoyed watching them work, but not for any goal they had specifically in mind- no they did it for fun.

-You kept quiet on how smart you really were- not wanting to relive what you had to live through on earth, being pressured by your parents, your teachers, everyone around you- to be a genius.

-You remember the pain well, when you finally broke, unable to handle their pressure- their expectations, and you turned away from science and knowledge, just wanting to be a normal guy!

-Once they were gone, you got to work, helping clean up their dirty dishes around the lab, straightening things up like their paperwork, but for the most part leaving everything alone.

-You then looked at the massive blackboard you saw Thomas and Nikola working on and you bit your lip lightly, looking at the mistakes, before looking at the closed door.

-They had been all working so hard and you could see their frustration mounting, you felt bad as you worried about them, before you sighed softly, “If I can be quick!”

-You grabbed the chalk and the ladder Thomas was on before you ascended, going to the top of the board, where the first mistake was, and you corrected it, before you noticed that due to that mistake, everything was now messed up.

-You looked back at the door, before you quickly started erasing, filling out the correct formula, turning it into a race to be done before your friends got back.

-You reached the bottom, going into zone before you pulled back, setting the chalk down, “Finished!” a mug hitting the floor had you leaping out of your skin, turning to see Thomas pointing up at the board, seeing the corrected formula, ending with the solution, as he had been the one to drop his mug.

-You blanched, terrified and they could see the terror before you were quickly scooped up by Isaac, “Y/N this is amazing!!” you cried out, being spun around before you were sat down, your eyes twirling around in your head.

-You were nervous as the others quickly, Nikola wrapping an arm around you, pulling you close, all of them elated that you solved the problem so easily!

-You twiddled your fingers bashfully, “You’re not mad?” Galileo turned, taking your hand before leading you to the box of treats you had gotten, “Mad? Why would we be mad? This is amazing! We knew you were smart but this is…” he trailed off, just in awe.

-Marie giggled softly, pinching your cheek as you looked shocked, “Didn’t think we didn’t know about you, right Y/N? We’ve known since we met you- but we saw how nervous you looked- for good reasons- so we never pushed you.”

-You felt foolish, your cheeks growing red which made them all poke fun at you, teasing you harmlessly before Nikola looked up at the board, “How did you figure out where we went wrong?”

-You pointed at the point of the chalkboard where you started writing, “That math equation there was calculated wrong, so it gave you the wrong answer, and with the wrong answer going all the way down, you would have never gotten the correct solutions.”

-They all gaped up at you, blinking owlishly before it was your turn to playfully tease them, “And that’s why I tell you all to take breaks!” laughter quickly filled the room, research done for the moment, as you sat with your friends, enjoying your snacks in this rare quiet moment, your fear and anxiety now gone.

What do you think of the movie Joker from 2019?

Ooh. I have two very contradictory opinions on it.

On the one hand, I loved it. It has some really powerful moments; the music is amazing; I appreciated the link with Bruce, weird and unlikely as it was; I loved seeing the Joker's dance, his increasing theatricality, him painting a bloody grin on his face and briefly leading the crowd.

On the other hand, I don't think this movie should exist. At least not in the Batman universe and definitely not in relation to Batman's Joker. Because Arthur Fleck is not the Joker and he never will be.

Age is a shallow but still relevant detail. Young Joaquin Phoenix would have made an amazing Joker, but he's too old to be pre-Batman Joker now. What's the age difference between him and Bruce, 30 years? This makes their canon decades-long dynamic impossible to achieve because by the time Bruce becomes Batman, Arthur Fleck is going to be 55 or so. Their brutal physical fights, the roof jumping, the flirting, none of it can realistically happen with this kind of age difference.

Then there is the character himself. I can buy this background: I'm sure Joker experienced abuse in his past, and taking Killing Joke, he tends to see his pre-rebirth version as someone pathetic and misunderstood. So the story of Arthur Fleck works - to an extent. The problem is, in Killing Joke, we get just several short glimpses, but in a full-blown movie, they had to show the essence of Joker properly. Joker is exceptionally intelligent. He's great at chemistry, he's talented with explosives, he's fluent in several languages and he has a very high IQ. Despite being thin and seemingly fragile, he's flexible, agile, and fierce in combat. Arthur Fleck is none of these things. Well, okay, he showed impressive speed when he killed Randall, but it's not enough. He's an average older man with a disorder who's been facing abuse for his entire life. He's not a genius, he doesn't come up with any complex many-layered schemes even after transforming into Joker. He's not chaotic and he doesn't seem interested in anarchy - he just goes with the flow.

Also, motivations. Joker doesn't have a motivation, that's the whole point. He's obsessed with Batman and chaos. Arthur goes after people who hurt him, which makes him a very different kind of character. He also gives off some incel vibes, with the way he conjures a fantasy about his neighbor and feels entitled to break into her apartment on its basis.

Joker might have undergone a serious transformation after his one bad day, but he didn't become a completely different person. That's the essence of Killing Joke: you don't become someone entirely new after trauma. I don't see almost anything from Joker in Arthur and I don't believe for one second that he can turn into him.

If I had a chance to make a Joker movie, I would have expanded on the multiple-choice past idea. I'd show different bits from different scenarios, linking them organically into one almost-coherent plot and leaving Bruce's imprints all over each one. He'd be one unchanging constant in every version of the past Joker thinks he might have had because he plays a central role in shaping his current identity.

Hazy, Halcyon and Amber would seem like cerebral archers the way they bounced informal sessions off each other.

TD Revival Countdown

Day 3: Noah - The High IQ

Like many, Noah is one of my favorites. He has that cynical perspective a lot of teenagers and adults have, quick sarcastic wit, and is as lazy as a housecat.

He didn’t start out as a favorite since he got a little too lazy and didn’t contribute to the dodgeball game challenge. It was only during the season 1 special when he began to shine like the star he is, teaming up with unexpected allies Izzy and Eva. His run on season 3 was nothing short of amazing. He had great comedic timing with Owen, who became his best friend for the rest of the series. Learning from his mistake at the dodgeball game, he began helping his team actively win with that big brain of his whether it was coming up with a good idea or getting his teammates to pull their weight just as much as he was. He was too powerful and had to be stopped by the likes of Alejandro, who he began to suspect as a dirty player.

You would not believe how happy I was when he and Owen returned for the Ridonculous Race, and they continued to do really well for themselves. He was Owen’s support system while flying, and made mistakes he came back from. He even found a girlfriend in Emma. Seeing a new side of Noah that we didn’t even know existed outside of his sarcastic bite was a treat on top of more camera time.

The Earth is Online Chapter 1.2

That evening, after eating a casual dinner, Tang Mo turned on the computer and logged into QQ. [1] A chat window popped up.

[Victor]: “Sorry, I've been very busy recently. I might not be able to play with you for a while.”

Tang Mo glanced at the chat record. His previous message had been sent last week and Victor had only responded just now. It seemed he really was very busy.

[Grind Sugar] (Tang Mo’s screen name) [2]: “It’s okay. In the future, when you have time again, let’s play together.”

As soon as he finished sending this message, Tang Mo turned on the bridge software. Who would have guessed, Victor by chance came online and quickly responded.

[Victor]: “Come for a round? I happen to have time now.”

[Grind Sugar]: “Okay!”

Tang Mo invited Victor to join a room and the game began soon after.

Tang Mo had already been playing bridge for five years. During his first year of university, he had a roommate who was crazy about bridge. He said that it was a very old game that tested the IQ and resolutely pulled Tang Mo in to play as well.

However, not a month had passed when that roommate went to obsess over some other thing while Tang Mo continued to quietly play, until suddenly it had been five years.

Halfway through the game, Tang Mo discovered an opportunity for a round-ending contract. His eyes flashed brightly, but before his chance to play arrived, Victor suddenly played the king of clubs. Tang Mo stared blankly. By playing this card, Victor had killed his chance to make a round-ending contract.

Had Victor made a mistake?

Bridge is a two versus two game. Tang Mo had met Victor online a year ago and the two of them cooperated with a tacit understanding. Victor was better at cards than Tang Mo. But for the last half a year, Victor had always been very busy, so much so that he hadn’t played for two months. It wasn’t impossible that he was out of practice.

Tang Mo glanced again at the points on either side and suddenly realized: “He thought it was a grand slam?” The corners of Tang Mo’s mouth hooked into a faint smile and he calmly played the card.

A short time later, the round concluded and Tang Mo opened QQ.

[Grind Sugar]: “GJ [2]. Still as good as before.”

[Victor]: “GJ.”

Tang Mo sent a smiley face.

No reply came from Victor’s side for a long time. Tang Mo guessed he had once again become too busy to chat and began another round of bridge by himself. Once he finished, he saw that Victor had sent a message: “I remember you said that there’s a black tower near where you work.”

[Grind Sugar]: “En, about 200 meters away, ba. [3] What of it?”

[Victor]: “Go there less for now. It might have some problems.”

Seeing this statement, Tang Mo suddenly thought back to the unhinged expression the spiritual weirdo wore that morning as he pointed to the Black Tower, solemnly vowing, “God is about to come.” Victor and the spiritual weirdo…

Tang Mo couldn’t help but let out a laugh. He laughed for a while, then, stifling his chuckles, sent a response: “I didn’t think you would also be a member of the ‘Black Tower is Dangerous’ faction. I only go to that area for work. It’s not possible to go less.”

Victor didn’t force him. After a few more messages, he suddenly said that an important matter had come up. The two soon after said goodbye and went offline.

The next day, when work was finished and the spiritual weirdo hadn’t come, Director Wang pulled Tang Mo aside and said with amazement, “That spiritual weirdo unexpectedly hasn’t come today? He usually punches in diligently just like us. His not coming shouldn’t be because something happened, right?”

Tang Mo: “Maybe his family has a matter.”

Director waved his hand. “Ha, what the heck? It’s better if he doesn’t come. It means we don’t have to look after him. Xiao Tang, you guys work hard for a while today. Look for time to try organizing the books in the G-section.”

Organizing books is something librarians need to do every day. This job is not at all as leisurely as outsiders think.

Xiao Zhao had a blind date that evening. The little girl was staring hard at Tang Mo. Tang Mo said, “You go first. It’s enough for me to do it alone.”

Xiao Zhao said gratefully, “Thanks, Tang Mo. I’ll help you work overtime next time.”

Tang Mo lightly nodded and said nothing.

Working overtime until ten in the evening, Tang Mo left the city library and caught the last bus.

The last bus had few people. Aside from the driver, there was only Tang Mo and one middle-aged uncle. That middle-aged uncle sat in his chair snoring. Tang Mo’s cellphone was out of battery. He propped up his chin and looked out the window out of boredom.

The many department stores in the city center were already closed at this time. The November night was utterly frigid and there were very few people out on the street. Cold, pure moonlight spilled downward. Tang Mo looked at the multitude of brilliantly twinkling variegated neon signs. As the bus turned around a bend, the massive black tower abruptly entered his line of sight.

Having looked at it for a full six months, Tang Mo, like many others, had no interest in the Black Tower, and looked at it now simply and calmly.

Suddenly, he caught sight of a small insect - or maybe a small bird. It was far off and indistinct. Beneath the moonlight, the small, dark thing flapped its wings through the air, flying toward that pitch black, humongous tower. Tang Mo watched absentmindedly as the little thing flew toward the Black Tower’s side, stupidly continued onward, and flew headlong into the Black Tower.

Just as Tang Mo saw this, the bus went around the next bend, leaving the Black Tower behind.

The name of the next stop rang out through the bus’s interior. Tang Mo’s left hand was resting on the windowsill as he considered with boredom what to eat for dinner. Suddenly, that small thing seemed to bump into something, abruptly falling from above.

His eyes opened wide and he quickly turned his head, his whole body sticking to the window so that he could look at the Black Tower. But the bus had long turned away and the Black Tower was completely out of sight.

Tang Mo’s heart raced with a “pu-tong, pu-tong,” as if it were about to jump out of his throat.

After a long time passed, he settled down.

“...It should be that I saw incorrectly, right? The Black Tower is an optical illusion created by pollution. It has no substance.”

This was the current theory that had become mainstream in society. There were many who didn’t believe it, but at the very least, the Black Tower indeed had no substance whatsoever. It obviously couldn’t be touched at all.

Tang Mo closed his eyes, wanting to forget the scene from just now, but it replayed continuously in his brain. Even up until he went to bed, he was unable to forget. It troubled him for half the night. Only then did he fall asleep.

The next day when he woke, it was already seven thirty. Tang Mo rushed to get out of bed and brush his teeth so that he could catch the bus that came at eight o’clock sharp. He rapidly dressed, picked up his bag, and ran. But just at the instant his hand met the doorknob, the beautiful sound of flowing music suddenly began to play.

“Ding ding dang, ding ding dang…”

Astonished, Tang Mo turned his head to look. He didn’t find the source of the sound within the room. Jingle Bells continued to play. There were no lyrics, but it was a song that everyone knew.

Tang Mo listened carefully to the sound but was completely unable to locate its origin. It was as if it were coming from all directions. After a moment, Tang Mo’s body froze. Then, with speed he had never used before, he ran to the window and looked into the distance, toward the huge black tower at E-city’s center.

At the top of the huge tower, multicolored lights blinked over and over again, endlessly following the nursery rhyme’s beat. As the final “dang” fell, the lights disappeared and everything once more returned to silence and darkness.

A melodious, childlike voice spoke with that high pitch specific to a small child, resounding sharply.

- During the whole duration of his teenage years and his time in college and high school, he was socially awkward, timid, quiet and shy. Jack never really liked to be in the spotlight, hated attention of any kind and genuinely preferred to be alone. He still had those characteristics in his early twenties. 

- Grade A student that his parents were proud of. Being an only child, his parents never suspected anything out of the ordinary and would praise Jack for his intelligence. He had a good childhood, however his parents neglected to see any warning signs that Jack carried with him as he grew older. 

- During his time in medical school, Jack would spend a lot of his time experimenting on animals to satisfy his needs and desires. Most of these animals were birds or roadkill. He would never experiment on cats as he is a cat person.

Jack never was queasy, it just aroused him too much that he couldn’t stand to be in the room any longer. A lot of people got weird vibes from him when he’d shuffle in his seat or gave a staggered breath, almost as if he was enjoying himself. 

- Jack was an avid self harmer, his arms and legs would be covered but he never suffered with any issues, nor did his parents ever discover his cut ridden body. He’d only self harm to get the arousal of the blood that leaked from his wounds. 

- While alone, Jack loved to daydream out his window and he’d always love to watch the world around him. 

- Jack found himself on a lot of concerning websites during his time alone in his dorm. He’d find himself on the dark web using gore videos to help get himself off. He knew something was wrong with him, he knew that this wasn’t normal and yet couldn’t help himself. It wasn’t until one time someone tracked his college did he abandon the dark web for some time and instead, would use the college's preserves or science donated bodies to help himself. 

- Jack always was curious on what a human would taste like and his first experience would ultimately be his demise. 

- To help scrape some money together until he finished his degree, he became a porter in a hospital and there, he would abuse countless patients for his own selfish greed. 

- Not having much interaction with women left him pretty inexperienced, he got drunk once at a party and found himself in a room with a girl. It was short lived because he couldn’t find her arousing, to which many people suspected that he was gay. 

- Jack had a high IQ and in his spare time, would play chess in tournaments for money. 

- He also liked to paint but never showed his artwork to anyone, the majority of his artwork consisted of gore.

- With the loss of his eyes, Jack found the first couple of years living hell. He had to rely on his ears for eyes and used his hands a lot to help him get around places. 

- He mourned the person he was and from there, his mental health declined greatly which left him in a mind of hysteria. Jack considered taking his life countless times and attempted on a couple, only to be found stuck in this permanent form he had found himself in. 

- Jack knew that the life he was enduring now was a curse to him, for his perverted thoughts. 

- Losing his eyesight was one thing, but he lost all his humanic privileges. The loss of his skin colour, the loss of a pulse or regular bloodstream. His blood, which used to be red, was now a black, ink-like substance. Due to his perverted thoughts about a pulse to begin with, now he did not have once and each day was agony for him. 

- Jack’s teeth grew razor sharp and he found himself having better hearing than previously. 

- He found himself in such a position when he offered to be in a disturbed group chat he had found on the dark web. Someone was putting out a position that lured Jack in and soon enough, he found himself being the form of entertainment for said person. Not only was Jack experimented on, he was stripped of basic human needs and ultimately, was tortured and killed. This person, in a panic, dumped Jack’s body and soon enough, Jack made a return to life with an urge of revenge. 

- Keeping a secret around Jack was pointless, as due to his amazing hearing, he could hear you whispering two doors down. 

- After the torture and experiments his body went through, Jack adorned strength he could not imagine possessing and in return, he had to live life without ever seeing the world again. He loved the world, he loved to look out and enjoy the way of nature and now, he was marked for life that would torment him. Jack had an amazing ability to climb walls and ceilings, due to his demonic natures. 

- He continued to be a quiet guy, not really wanting to speak unless he was spoken to due to his shame. 

- Jack suffered with huge amounts of insomnia, his death and past life being a great reminder of the monster he has become. He finds himself having episodes where he relives the torture he willingly signed up for. 

- Scaring Jack or startling him was an easy task when he first lost his eyesight, but now that his ears are more trained, he knows exactly who is behind him just by their footsteps. 

- By nature, Jack is very quiet. His footsteps have no noise and he can enter a room and make no noise while doing so, scaring a lot of people by mistake. 

- It’s hard to bond with Jack, he has a very thick wall he puts up and avoids bonding or even talking to people. 

- When he does open up, he usually tends to dwell on his past life.

- Despite now being able to kill as freely as he likes, he misses the life he once had. 

- Yelling doesn’t sit right with Jack, he’ll cover his ears due to how sensitive they’ve become and usually he speaks in a hushed whisper. 

- Jack tends to throw up a lot after eating humans, he enjoys every moment but is punished for such a thing and his body forces him to regurgitate it back out. 

- Due to his love for cats, he is very cat-like. He is very swift and knows to pounce, stalk and kill as a cat does. A lot of cats attract themselves to him. He likes to consider them as friends. 

- He is very distant and hates any form of interaction. Some people perceive him as an asshole, but he likes to push those away. 

- Still LOVES to play chess, it just takes him a little longer to feel up each piece on the board.

I thought of an idea that I’m sure has been done before but imagine:

Karasuno as baseball players — what positions would they be??

I have my own ideas but I thought maybe you’d like to brainstorm with me!

anon!!! i love this thank u so much for letting me brainstorm with u. i’ve seen a few hq baseball au’s but most of them don’t really go into what positions people would play other than who the main battery would be. i’m trying to think about what positions would suit them physically but also fit with their growth as characters. i got SO into this and i loved thinking about how their skills as volleyball players translated to another sport lol. it got SO LONG though so i had to put it under a read more 💀💀💀

of course we’re going to have the kagehina battery. i know everyone makes the setters the catchers in baseball aus but kageyama was made to be a catcher okay. super agile and has great reflexes, great lower body strength, strong arm, amazing game sense, quick thinker. superrrrr high baseball iq. it’s perfect. and we’re obviously making hinata a pitcher. almost all of hinata’s motivation comes from him wanting to prove people who look down on him wrong and i think that would translate nicely to him being a pitcher. he definitely would’ve still been looked over because of his height and body type. i hate to compare him to eijun in dna because i’m trying not to compare characters too much but i think he probably definitely has something very special about his pitching that kageyama witnessed during his last at bat against hinata in their middle school game. their dynamic just fits perfectly for this. i honestly could go on and on about a kagehina battery lol.

suga’s going to be our relief catcher. i think he has a good eye for baseball and pretty good reflexes but not the best throwing arm. until kageyama comes around to challenge him he probably struggles with making risky calls especially late in the game.

as for other pitchers, im going to make asahi a pitcher. he probably has a really heavy fastball, maybe also a curveball. our beloved asahi just starts out with the spine of a limp noodle and doesn’t necessarily have the mental fortitude it takes to be a pitcher. i think he and suga would make a great battery but i think before kageyama and hinata came, suga would have definitely prioritized asahi’s mental state over his play calling in order to keep him in the game as long as possible. him being a pitcher also allows he and noya to still have their whole “dont you know i’m right behind you” dynamic.

karasuno is a team that probably struggles with finding pitchers. i think tanaka at least really WANTED to be a pitcher, but definitely had to come to terms that he would be better at another position. maybe not super popular but i’m kind of thinking about yamaguchi as a pitcher?? i struggle choosing between putting him as a closing pitcher that they only use in certain situations or a pinch hitter. i think both fit his character well. i could see him wanting to perfect a pitch that hinata and asahi don’t have but i can also see him working really hard on his batting. whhhdjdjdjd i can’t decide, let me come back to him later.

okay now, 1B we obviously have big man sawamura daichi. not tall but he’s broad which is good for first base. big strong man with good game sense and quick reflexes. BIG POWER HITTER. my guy probably breaks karasuno’s record for most home runs in a season during his third year. i love him.

okay second baseman is who i’m struggling with the most. i don’t see any of karasuno’s starters being on second base. they need to be quick, they need to have a good eye, they need to be skilled, they need to be consistent at bat. call me crazy but i’m kind of thinking narita? i originally had ennoshita at 2b and narita at 3b, but narita isn’t as physically strong as ennoshita, but he has pretty good speed and his game sense in haikyuu is 4/5, so i think he would do better at 2b.

short stop we obviously have noya. besides kageyama he’s probably the best player on the team. really could honestly play any position that’s how good he is. doesn’t have height but his inhuman reflexes make up for it. he’s fast and much stronger than he looks. he can jump. amazinggggg agility. noya is just amazing and probably got a million offers to play at different high schools.

third base, i feel like most would put tanaka here and i GET THAT but i’m putting ennoshita because i remembered that furudate said he was one of the strongest characters in hq even though his stats don’t really reflect that lmfao. he’s super similar to daichi though so i think if he beefed up a little he’s make a great third baseman. probably a big hitter but ennoshita strikes me as someone who struggles to get on base. strong arm though.

okay NOW FOR OUTFIELD. considering how fucking insane japanese high school baseball is, your outfielders have to be pretty good and narratively i think these people would also be good in outfield. i did kind of struggle with this because tsukki, tanaka, and kinoshita all have different strengths but are lacking in other areas.

i’m putting tanaka at center field okay. i think out of the three of them he makes the most sense to play center and is overall a little better technically than the other two. his power stat in hq is 5/5 so i think that would translate well to him having a really really good throwing arm and also being a good power hitter. tanaka’s game sense sucks but he makes up for it with strength and being able to jump.

kinoshita is going in right field. tanaka is stronger but kinoshita is faster. he’ll definitely have to work on his strength and if he was better all around i would rather have him in center field but i think he’ll do well there.

and then we have tsukishima. i think tsukishima should be in outfield not only because of his skillset but because i think it makes sense with his character arc. tsukki probably was put in the outfield as a kid and became a little complacent because “oh i’m in the outfield i don’t have to try as hard because this is where they put the bad players.” it works well with his “it’s just a club” mindset. i think he would learn pretty fast that at the level they’re wanting to play at, outfield isn’t where they put the bad players. so he’s going in left field because of how good of a defensive player he is. has the weakest arm out of the three of those and also isn’t a big hitter but he has great game sense and can be fast if he tries. i think he would definitely still have his ~moment~ while playing against shiratorizawa that makes him realize how much he actually loves baseball and wants to try to be better.

i definitely need to think about their batting order but to sum up their positions we have

-yamaguchi (?????)(ph) (i’m going to have to think on him, i kind of like the idea of yamaguchi wanting to be in outfield with tsukki but then after seeing shimada pitch during that game with the neighborhood association deciding that he wants to try pitching?? i think it would work well with the motifs we see of him running on “ahead” of tsukishima, with him being in front of tsukki on the mound but i think his position as a pinch server is more similar to him being a pinch hitter in the sense that if he was a pitcher, he would have an entire inning or two to prove himself but as a pinch hitter, he only has that at bat to do something, just like how as a pinch server if he doesn’t get the ball in play during that first serve then it’s over for him. i dont know let me know what you think!!!!!!!)

Meaning: Ruler of men. Her name is a direct reference to the Greek myth Andromeda, who was famously chained to a rock by her parents as a sacrifice to the sea monster Cetus. 

Age: She begins the story at 15, but currently she is 16. 

Birthdate: July 17th, 1996

Zodiac Sign: Cancer

Physical Traits:

Height: 5’2”

Plus-size build - which does lead to her body image issues later in season 1

Sunkissed skin, with rosacea on her cheeks

Long caramel-colored, slightly curly hair - 95% of the time, she has a ribbon or bow clip in her hair 

Forest green eyes

Style: Her go-to color is pink, and she tends to wear more “girly” clothes, like dresses, skirts, cardigans and rompers.

Her most common look is a form-fitting pink sweater dress, white Converse, and her pink bow clip.

Her hairstyles will change with each season:

Personality: Andi is a naturally closed-off person, revealing only the surface-level facts about herself at first; her name, age, favorite things, best friend, etc. However, she is kind to others and has a huge amount of respect for people that she considers authority figures, like Splinter (when she meets him), her teachers in school, and of course, her parents (but that respect falters later in the story.) 

She is extremely intelligent, having an IQ of 150, making her a genius. However, this intelligence sometimes (though not often) spills over into arrogance, and she can be rude to others if they don’t understand what she’s talking about. She also puts herself down if she doesn’t understand something or can’t get it right, because she feels that with such a high intelligence, she shouldn’t have problems with anything with memory, experimentation, or general knowledge. 

This also ties into her being impatient and short-tempered at times, though she doesn’t have issues controlling her anger. Though more often than not, she is prone to be extremely sarcastic with others - especially her closest friends like April and the boys. 

Despite her brilliant mind, she is incredibly oblivious to anything involving romance and love - which can be infuriating, as it’s bleedingly obvious to anyone that watches the two of them that Donatello is hopelessly infatuated with her. While she does eventually reciprocate his feelings, it takes her a long time - when she feels enough trust in him that she can start to open up about her past. 

As the story goes on, Andi shows just how loyal she really is to the people that matter most to her. From the beginning, she sees April as her unofficial sister. As she becomes closer with the turtles and Splinter, she sees the latter as her father figure and the boys as brothers to her - with the exception of Donatello, of course.

Mother, Cassiopeia “Cassie” Rhodes: The two have a very, very estranged (and downright toxic and unhealthy) relationship. Cassie was never the typical mother to Andi; she was distant and isolated herself from her daughter. Not much can be said about her at the moment, but what can be said is that she and Andi’s father were married, but prematurely divorced when Andi was 12. After their divorce, Cassie completely disappeared from her daughter’s life - but they reunite in the middle of season 2. 

Father, Alexander “Alex” Rhodes: When he was alive, the two had a fairly close, father-daughter relationship. He wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed when it came to raising a daughter (especially one as smart as Andi,) but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t a good father to her. What he lacked in brilliance, he made up for in spirit, constantly encouraging her to follow her dreams of being a scientist and indulging her when she went on a tangent about…well, pretty much anything. However, his life was cut short when he was found dead in his apartment building in March 2010 - and when his autopsy was performed, it was found that the cause of death was poisoning. 

Best Friend, April O’Neil: April and Andi have been best friends since they were 12, a year and four months before Alex passed away. They met in English class in November of 2008, when they were assigned as partners to read and do a project on a Shakespearean play, and they chose Romeo and Juliet.  During their time together, they became close friends and began to hang out outside of school, eventually becoming best friends by the time they finished seventh grade (June 2009) and Andi meeting Kirby O’Neil when April threw her a birthday party at her apartment. When Alex died less than a year later, April was the only person that Andi willingly confided in about her father’s death, and April comforting her and offering to let her stay with her and her father for a week so that she didn’t feel so lonely cemented her as one of the most important people in Andi’s life. 

Miscellaneous Information:

Andi has undiagnosed Asperger’s syndrome, though it’s never explicitly stated in the story.

Her main weapon is a lithium-powered laser gun that Donnie helps her perfect in season 1. The reason why it’s a laser gun, specifically, is because of her need for things to be impersonal between her and her opponent in a battle, and simply because it’s more advanced than the traditional weapon.

It’s never explicitly stated either, but Andi is bi-curious. She will have feelings for Donnie, but when she and April started becoming closer as friends, she had a temporary crush on her. And to this day, she still wonders what it would be like to date another girl, but after she meets Donnie, those thoughts become fewer and farther between. The reason she had a crush on April in the first place was because April was the first person to show her legitimate kindness and platonic love, and Andi misconstrued her feelings of platonic love for romantic love.

suletta’s shounen power is SO POWERFUL that it trumps all of the realistic stakes in the show. which is why the show is  so amazing. it plays the shounen tropes straight IN A REALISTIC WORLD has them work AND have most everybody LOSE as a result. anybody else would have been SPLATTED.

but Sulettas extreme (useful) naivity is actually not frustrating because MIORINE sees through it all. She KNOWS that Suletta was manipulated by her mother. She knows that she is being manipulated also. Question is - does she realise that she needs to prepare to take over the Benerit Group.

how did prospera know that rembran was trying to take over every information system in the world? was it really to stop all war? he was leader of a group selling war machines in order to stop all war? he didnt want pilots suffering experimental tech - alright. he didnt want experimental tech to do the killing - alright. no automated drone strikes basically. hes been cast the villain of course. because he was such a huge dick to mio. and also ordered the strike which killed suletta’s dad and all her mum’s colleagues. why did he do that? because he genuinely believed that they were a threat?
