if you are so frustrated with the pacing of the one piece anime then just read the damn manga. you’ll catch up faster, you’ll only consume canon content, and the pacing is much better. i admit, the anime drags out scenes. that does not mean it is poorly written or that the one piece series itself is poorly paced. it is just how the animation studio decided to do things. watch the eps you want to watch after reading the scenes. i didnt find any arc boring while reading, but whenever i tried to watch the anime, yes the slow pacing makes some arcs drag. but then again, some eps are priceless. some scenes are pure gold when animated (you will never beat ep 1015). you also get the pure joy of the one piece theme songs if you watch some of the anime. point is, the anime is def a little different. so if you’re new to one piece and deciding whether or not to get into it, remember that manga readers and anime watchers will have some differing opinions, bc they are experiencing the same series differently. take opinions from both sides with a grain of salt and go make your own opinion once you’ve given it a chance. i promise there has to be something in the one piece universe that will bring you joy <3.

🩵🩷 Do what brings you the most joy in life. Find things now that you are happy and content with. And allow yourself to focus on those things. The more you pay attention to all the good that is surrounding you, the easier it will be for your mind to notice more of it. 💙🩷

So happiness,
as most of us are taught, or
as most of us see it, is results oriented.
If then.
If I get this,
then I will be happy.
If I reach this goal,
then I will be happy.
Something akin to a "ta-da" moment. But,
there's no "ta-da" moment.
There's no hill
that you get to the top of, and
you say, "ah, I think I did it."
Because what you do see,
once you get to the top, is
other hills.
I know now,
that joy is more in the verb,
in the process of doing, and
if we can get out of our mind,
that there is a finish line, and
just enjoy the race, if we
can just chase ourselves and say,
"this is the best I can do," if we
can get to the end of this life, sit back and say,
"well, I didn't make it to the top, but
how many steps did I climb,
how wide was my reach,
how deep did my roots grow?"
Would it tally up?
And if once this life is over, and
Creator turns to us and says,
"well done,"
would we be happy then? I would.
I think that's as good as it gets.
