it's difficult to speak your truth or tell the truth about something if all you are used to receive back instead of support is harsh judgement and yells/anger. It takes a lot of courage to leave that fearful place and just be open and speak, despite the consequences. But even if your scared younger self is still inside of you, remember that they have you as well. And you can be brave for them and stand up for them. You can also take the blame or accept you made a mistake or anything: you know your worth and lovability do not depend on that cause everyone makes mistakes and fails. And everyone is lovable and worthy anyway. It doesn't matter what you think you'll look like in the eyes of those people you never wanted to disappoint but make proud (and only get praised by) when you were little. You know you cannot stand up to others' expectations of you (you are already perfect) and you know they failed you as well many times anyway. Lovability and worth, once again, do not depend solely on those times.
