Hiya, I was just wondering if there were any updates on your TMA TTRPG project because it seems super fun and I am gnawing at the bars of my cage to hear more about it :D
Thanks for asking about it. I unfortunately never found the time to test the system, but I think it’s at a point where people can at least look at it, so here’s my google doc of the PbtA heavily based on Monster of the Week tma system
working on a magnus archives x twin peaks crossover for a ttrpg group once the magnus tabletop system drops and could really use someone to bounce ideas around with! this uses the Return as well as the Secret History and examines, among other things, the juxtaposition between comforting nostalgia and brutal violence
These mfers at Monty cook be like let's make a ttrpg based on our podcast that has ended with the destruction of everything interesting in the setting like I'd ever get invested for their lackluster retelling of the color out of space but with the british version of the office (derogatory)
Hey all, been an intense few days, and realised I haven't actually posted here about the fact the crowdfunder for The Magnus Archives RPG by the incredible Monte Cook Games is live RIGHT NOW.
It's going amazingly well, far beyond what we could have predicted, and I'm so excited by it. It looks amazing and I'm so psyched to see how Monte and the team bring the Archives to the tabletop. As someone who's been roleplaying since the 90s, Monte's work has obviously been a big feature in my gaming life, so you'll have to forgive me if there's a slight fanboyish tinge to how I talk about the project!
For my tma ttrpg I got to write some ideas for artifacts you can include in your game, and I wanted to share some because I like them, especially my Extinction one.
