In the wake of Thrawn calling Ahsoka a 'ronin' , shout out to Star Wars:Ronin by Emma Meiko Candon for featuring better story about a lone force user traveling with a droid and a witch that can reanimate the dead. If any of these concepts seemed cool to you then go read SW:Ronin as a treat.

Ahsoka- Notes on Episode 4 “Fallen Jedi” and Kiner’s score
The episode begins in the forest on Seatos. Ahsoka’s theme is heard when she tries to convince Sabine to agree with her regarding the map. When Ahsoka mentions Thrawn’s return as “heir to the empire” there is a brief quotation of Thrawn’s theme inserted into the ongoing presentation of Ahsoka’s theme.
When Shin tells Baylan Skoll and Morgan Elsbeth they found Ahsoka. Baylan sends Shin, Marrok and the guards after Ahsoka and her crew. Morgan asks Baylan if he is afraid. Ambient sounds, including the sound of the ocean and sounds that suggest the presence of the purrgil are heard along with the primarily percussive score.
More ambient sounds are heard during the Ahsoka title card & “Part Four: Fallen Jedi.”
Huyang continues repairs. Sabine, in her Mandalorian armor searches frantically for something in her bag. Ahsoka tells her “I know how much Ezra means to you. Sometimes we have to do what’s right regardless of our personal feelings.” Sabine is visibly conflicted.
While making repairs to the ship, Huyang is attacked by an assassin droid and defends himself. Sabine and Ahsoka engage in battle with the attacking guards and assassin droid.
The music here is primarily quick staccato chords. When Huyang tells Ahsoka and Sabine to stay together we hear the introduction of “Sabine’s Suite” from the Star Wars Rebels soundtrack, which you can listen to here:
https://youtu.be/uu4Ic5c1hMo?si=QrRKHf8LPIxgansS
A repeated eighth note motif accompanies a hopeful sounding variant of the “ronin theme” from the beginning of the Ahsoka end credits music as they run through the forest towards the henge.
Segue to Home One and the New Republic fleet. Hera leaves without authorization. The music is a little militaristic, but mostly playful and slightly comedic. As Hera soars away with Jacen and Chopper onboard the Ghost, she’s joined by a small group of X-Wing pilots. The music builds, swelling into a presentation of Hera’s theme, which is heard during her conversation with Carson Teva. They make the jump to hyperspace.
Back on Seatos, the sounds of the ocean waves and wind are heard along with the score, creating a dark and mysterious mood as Morgan and Baylan discuss the hyperspace jump. She tells him to have faith and Baylan says he lost his faith years ago. Morgan uses her Nightsister witchcraft to open the map, aiding the droids onboard the Eye of Sion in calculating the hyperspace coordinates.
Ahsoka and Sabine run through the woods until they encounter Marrok and Shin.
The Sabine vs. Shin and Ahsoka vs. Marrok fight scenes are accompanied by intense strings, brass and often percussive incidental music.
Ahsoka kills Marrok and Shin is angered. Ahsoka runs to get the map while Sabine’s duel with Shin continues.
Morgan leaves to board the Eye of Sion, but Baylan stays to protect the map. Ahsoka arrives at the henge.
Baylan claims that Anakin spoke highly of Ahsoka, but Ahsoka responds that Anakin never mentioned him. Baylan appears to be reading Ahsoka’s thoughts and emotions, attempting to use her guilt regarding Anakin’s fall to the dark side as a weapon against her. The sounds of the wind and waves are heard under the dialogue. “One must destroy in order to create,” Baylan says, claiming he won’t start another war but Thrawn will. Lightsabers are drawn. The score resumes, intensifying with the duel as it becomes more violent.
A droid aboard the Eye of Sion reports that they will be ready to make the hyperspace jump in moments.
Ahsoka’s theme is heard before Baylan hurls a stone at her.
Sabine’s lightsaber duel with Shin continues. In the foreground Sabine’s helmet lies upon the forest floor and is the camera’s main focus, reminding the viewers of her Mandalorian heritage. Sabine is disarmed by Shin and when she gestures a Force push, nothing happens, leading Shin to conclude that Sabine has no power. Sabine disarms Shin with a rocket dart from her vambrace.
Ahsoka is finally able to reach the star-map but it burns her hand when she grabs it. Ahsoka cries out in pain and drops the map.
Meanwhile, Shin uses a smoke grenade to escape from Sabine, who reclaims Ezra’s green lightsaber.
The droid reports to Morgan that their final calculation is incomplete.
Ahsoka fights one-handed until Shin arrives and Ahsoka assumes that Sabine is dead. Enraged, she hurls Shin against one of the stones of the henge. “It didn’t need to come to this, but you know no other way,” Baylan says as he fights Ahsoka to the edge of the cliff above the churning waters.
Sabine arrives. Ahsoka tells her to destroy the map. “Step away from her!” Sabine shouts while pointing her blaster at the map. The music crescendos as Baylan makes a final strike at Ahsoka’s blade, one which hurls her over the cliff, presumably to her death.
Baylan deflects Sabine’s blaster bolts with his saber. She points her pistol at the map once more and Baylan pauses, probing Sabine’s thoughts and emotions. “I know you feel that Ezra Bridger is the only family you have left,” he says while deactivating his lightsaber. He reveals the bombshell that Sabine’s family died on Mandalore because Ahsoka didn’t trust her. Baylan claims that Sabine wants to be reunited with her “long-lost friend” and that he wants to “serve a greater good.” He says that if she comes along with him willingly no harm will come to her. “Sabine, you will be reunited with your friend,” he insists.
Sabine hesitates before handing Baylan the map. “It’s the only way. Do it, for Ezra.” After handing over the map, Sabine struggles to breathe as Shin begins to Force choke her.
Baylan stops Shin, claiming that he will keep his word that Sabine will not be harmed. Baylan returns the map to its former position and the final jump coordinates are calculated. Morgan sends a shuttle to retrieve Baylan and the others.
While repairing Ahsoka’s ship, Huyang receives a transmission from Hera.
The music churns and intensifies as Baylan destroys the map with his lightsaber. “No one will be following us,” he says as Sabine, now a prisoner is pushed forward by Shin to the shuttle.
Hera and Phoenix Squadron prepare to engage the enemy accompanied by short, syncopated chords. The shuttle reaches the Eye. Morgan Elsbeth’s Theme can be heard when Baylan and Shin enter the bridge with Sabine as their prisoner.
[Voltar on YouTube has musical examples of Morgan’s theme and other new musical themes from Ahsoka that you can listen to in this video.]
https://youtu.be/Vo5TmO6s620?si=htUFKJsAxPhjHw9T
Morgan ignores Phoenix Squadron’s attack and jumps to hyperspace. Three X-Wings are destroyed. Jacen tells his mother he has a bad feeling.
Ambient sounds of Seatos and music befitting an aerial view of the sea accompany a beautiful transition to Ahsoka waking up in the World Between Worlds where she hears a voice calling her by her old nickname “Snips.” She is greeted by Anakin Skywalker, but the music tells us that all is not as it seems. The final notes of Darth Vader’s Theme (The Imperial March by John Williams) lead into the closing credits music, which begins with the now-familiar presentation of Kiner’s “ronin” theme, a viola and cello duet with pavane-like rhythmic accompaniment. This accompaniment continues during Sabine’s Theme, and is suggestive of both a Renaissance dance and the clash of wooden practice sabers. The hopeful-sounding ostinato that I associate with Sabine’s search for Ezra Bridger plays along the “path to Peridea” portion of the journey across the star-map. The ostinato continues, accompanying an augmented version Ahsoka’s Theme, an elongated but familiar melody. A triumphant presentation of Ahsoka’s Theme plays as all of the golden lines meet at Peridea. Hera’s Theme, featuring the French horns, strings, and trumpets plays as the credits continue agsinst the black background, followed by the final reprise of Ahsoka’s theme.
This is the first episode of Ahsoka in which Ezra’s Theme is not heard even though he is mentioned quite a bit. Something tells me we should listen for it in the final episodes of the series, especially when Sabine and Ezra are finally reunited.

Season 5 hurt me in ways I wasn't expecting.
I knew it was going to hurt, just not this much.
So, where does everyone stand? Well, it seems like there’s another ahead. And this one involves venturing across different realms.
Everyone seems to be coming into their own -- growing up, understanding who they are and who they want to be.
Except Cole. He's still a ghost. While I think he's accepted it, it's definitely not what he wants. I'm thinking at some point in the next season he gets cured.
I don't think anyone who was in the Cursed Realm will come back again. I really think they're gone for good.
I think Pixal is going to finally get a new body. She's spent 2 seasons in Zane's head already. It's time for her to get out. And become her own droid again.
I really don't have any sense of what the next season is going to be about, so I don't really have many predictions about it.
Below the cut are the predictions I got right and wrong.
Correct
The boys will find a way to either survive without their powers or find a way to restore them. They did manage to survive without them for most of the season.
Someone or multiple someones whose powers aren't connected to Lloyd will be very helpful in taking down Morro. And Nya comes in with the STEEL CHAIR!
Nya is going to struggle with her new powers, but they will be the key to taking Morro down. See above.
The boys will run in to Morro while they're at Stiix, and there will be a showdown.
The boys will have to escape whatever prison they're put in while they visit the Cloud Kingdom.
Ronin will do more to help the ninja. He really came thru for them in the end.
We will see Garmadon in the Cursed Realm. And Chen and Clouse.
Incorrect
The other Elemental Masters can help defeat Morro. Skylor was the only one who appeared, and she was only there for 5 minutes, tops to work at the restaurant.
Water doesn't work on ghosts who are possessing other people. Surprisingly, it's super effective.
Nya will go to Misako or Wu for advice on her powers. She went to Ronin to get her out of training with her new powers.
The Preeminent is trapped in the Cursed Realm. She was the Cursed Realm.
The ghoulfiends will abandon Morro after he didn't make it to the Cloud Kingdom. They stuck with him, and they eventually got there themselves.
Morro will eventually take completely over and no one will be able to get thru to Lloyd. Morro left Lloyd's body.
Skill Island. RIP Skull Island. You would have been a cool spot to hold the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master.
Morro will beat them to the Realm Crystal. The boys got there first.
The Preeminent will not be defeated this season. She will be sent to another realm. WELL then.
Partially
Ronin told the boys who to go to in order to learn Airjitzu from. He sent them to Yang, however Yang gave them a scroll to learn Airjitzu from.
Enemies are waiting for the boys in Cloud Kingdom. There was Fenwick, but there was also Nobu and Nimbus.
Wu, Nya, and Ronin will interrogate Ghoultar and learn about the Preeminent. They did interrogate him, but they didn't learn about the Preeminent from him. And Ronin already knew.
Having Nya along for the journey to the First Spinjitzu Master's tomb. She was there, but she was above water and taking care of WU and Misako.
Unconfirmed
No one will be permenantly killed off this season. The main characters, no. Others? Unknown.
Something happened to Morro in the Cursed Realm. Unknown what happened to him.

u reblogged it from me so 📓 star wars 👁️👁️
oh god there's honestly so many hakfhakdhsks I have been thinking at lot about my old fantasy au though lately so let's talk about that one!
Plot-wise it was supposed to follow Obi-wan, a jedi knight-wizard (jedi in this au are more ronin-like, united by the order but functionally traveling peacekeepers who offer up their services) who's been doing Bad ever since his fellow knight (Anakin) fell under the control of a dark wizard/demon (Palpatine). There was a big fight, forests were burned, squires and animal companions (Ahsoka and R2) were lost, and Obi-wan's entire life basically fell apart. Whoops!
None of that is actually Covered in the fic however cause this story would have focused on him running across Mandalore on his travels and encountering the king and his seven sons (Jango and the clones!), all bearing a curse that so far no one has been able to break. As far as they can tell, it was placed on them by dark wizard who was angry at Jango and hoped to weaken Mandalore, and now each of the sons are bound by a thread only they can see and tugs on it compel them to follow it to its owner or, as they learn later on, can even be used to control them. Upon learning that Obi-wan is skilled with magic (the force basically) and curses in particular, they enlist his help to try to break it before it's too late.
While that's the overarching plot point, lots of other stuff happens in the meantime! Like Ahsoka actually being alive and finding a place for herself in Mandalore as a close friend of Rex! Weird family dinners between all the Fetts that Obi-wan gets included in! Boba being the seventh son of a seventh son and maybe having just a Little more magic of his own than he should and making it everyone else's problem! Angsty moments where an attempt at breaking the curse fails and Cody and Rex are forced to turn against their loved ones! I'm not even scratching the surface here, I had BIG plans for this au.
Eventually it would have culminated with them purposely following the threads to their end and confronting the dark wizard who, surprise! is the same guy that corrupted Anakin (who is still under his control btw). There'd be a pretty large battle between the Fett family + Obi-wan and Ahsoka and Palpatine and Anakin + Palpatine's summoned constructs (the equivalent of battle droids), and tbh I don't think I ever completely got around to deciding what all happens here, but it does end with Cody killing Palpatine, Anakin being released to return to his friends and life, the curse on the Fetts finally broken, and everyone getting rides on a dragon as they all enter a free life from this point on (did I mention I made R2 a dragon? yeah I made him a dragon)
And there you have it I guess! There's honestly a lot more world building and plot points I could have gone into cause I reallyyyyy planned all those kinds of things out when I worked on this more consistently, that stuff was so much fun for me to try to figure out how to translate over from star wars to full fantasy, but this is the basics of it! Now I just sit here and hope that maybe it will actually be a real fic one day hakfhakdjsk

Star Wars Visions (Season 1)
Since these eps are all roughly under 20 minutes I'm just lumping my thoughts under the cut for all of the episodes.
THE DUEL
Easily my favorite episode. Art style goes insanely hard. Monochrome palette with the only hints of color being the lights and blades of the lightsabers? Loved it, no complaints. I want more of Ronin's story. Why was he helping people? Why was he collecting the red kyber crystals like Thanos? How would the crystal ward off evil?
TATOOINE RHAPSODY
Least favorite episode by a longshot, honestly. Only redeemer for me was the Boba Fett cameo and the voice work done by Temuera Morrison. Song was awful lol.
THE TWINS
Subtitles did not match the audio/dialogue, so it loses points for that. (From an accessibility standpoint: If you're going to provide proper sub-captioning services it should match up with exactly with what the people are saying; not close words, but the exact words.)
Neat art style with good old ridiculous sci-fi: Karre should not be able to survive in space like that without a suit (or the Force) but we'll ignore it. War of Stars and Shit's Whack Anyways.
THE VILLAGE BRIDE
Loved the clothing and environment designs in this episode. Had a bit of a Ghibli vibe to it. Liked the yellow blade reveal. Just wish we had her name.
THE NINTH JEDI
Absolutely hilarious that when Kara picks up one of the lightsabers there's just. No color. Ghost saber. DLC-looking lightsaber later turns green in a grand fight in the Aerial Temple (which looks kinda like a lightsaber itself). Interesting ep overall I suppose.
T0-B1
All the cute droids you could want in a sometimes-fuzzy art style. Don't mess around on strange spaceships, kids.
THE ELDER
Hoping the awkwardness of the dialogue was just a matter of translation into English. Sounded a little unnatural at times (in my opinion).
Tumblr media
That death-blow was incredible though.
LOP AND OCHŌ
Really vibing with the aesthetic for this episode, too.
"Inheritance has nothing to do with blood." coming from the guy who was most reluctant about taking in Lop was great character growth and maturity. You're no less family when you're adopted. Something Ochō's blind quest for power Toa's advancement by siding with the Empire seemed to make her forget...
Ironically symbolic given she's the one who leaves with both her eyes intact, unlike her father who loses his other eye, before the episode ends.
AKAKIRI
Japanese for "red haze", the title really would have been a giveaway for what happened in this episode if I'd looked it up before, and not after. I could still see where it was going with Tsubaki's story even if I didn't with the increasing clarity of the Force visions.

Zane is cleaning up around the living room. Ronin is just watching him tootle around in a navy-blue soft robe picking up little soda cans. Ronin smirks and crosses his arms over his chest.
Ronin: "what a good little service droid!"
Zane freezes and slowly looks over at Ronin with the angriest face he's ever shown in front of Ronin.
Ronin: "oooo!....I take it back"
He uncrosses his arms and shrinks back a little bit. Zane then just switches back to that warm friendly smile and nods his head once.

📁 But specifically with Latt3 if that's fine?
Send “📂“ for a random yet completely useless headcanon I have
Sure, I think I can find one for you! *Rummages through bag o' headcannons*
Latt3 was a prototype originally designed to be an automated server droid by Borg, but when she showed the same capacity for higher-level personality and thinking as Pixal, Cyrus couldn't put her into mass-production.
BONUS HEADCANNON:
She did so well running the Borg Tower cafe, that she ended up making enough money from her own wages, that she was able to open her own coffee shop with Ronin as her chief investor! Cyrus had offered to just give her the money, but she wanted to do this on her own.

Yk what I love about the Ronin? You start the book and he has NO money, NO place to stay, NO food, his bones are ACHING he is OUT OF PRACTICE and his only pal is a droid. And then at the end he has a daughter, and a partner, and a weird mashup found family, (the droid is still there), some trans Jedi Twi’lek, a respirator. And also his partner gives him little kisses on his palm. Like wow. Talk about character development

A Funko Farewell
(& a happy Star Wars day too!)
I can’t believe I’m saying this for the last time but… hey Funko fam! The spring semester is at an end, which means my blog has run it’s course 😢.
I might come back from time to time to give a collection update, but you won’t be getting any more long-winded posts from me. Running this blog has been SUCH a blast. It’s given me an excuse to totally geek out every week and put my love of Funko POPs out into the world.
I appreciate every single one of you that has given even a SECOND of time towards my blog and I thank you for coming on this journey with me. I can’t just leave you high & dry though! Here’s some of my latest hauls from the past few weeks:
I went out to Target with one of my cousins last week & we found the newest wave of Pokémon figures! Obviously I had to snag them all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From left to right we’ve got Alakazam, Lucario, & (my personal favorite eevee-lution) Sylveon!!
I have also been on an real Sonic the Hedgehog kick since the new movie came out last month, so I successfully hunted for the “Blue Blur” himself!
Tumblr media
Check out those feet! He’s constantly running, even in POP form!
Finally, in honor of today being May the 4th, aka the unofficial Star Wars Day, I snagged the new Target-exclusives from the Star Wars Visions animated shorts!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We’ve got Karre and Am, who appeared in my favorite of the shorts, The Twins, and then the infamous Ronin with his droid, B5-56, from The Duel!
I really like that Star Wars is branching out to different mediums like these anime shorts. It shows that everyone’s got something unique they can add to this ever-expanding galaxy and I can’t wait to see what they do next!
That’s all I’ve got for you now though. I’m happy I was able to immortalize my collection here for the past few months, and I’m excited to see how it will continue to evolve!
Goodbye for now & may the 4th be with you all,
Johnny

Ahhh this is cool. The new Star Wars Visions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This old hermit has a dream of his droid companion traveling with a young swordsman. The swordsman then appears before them, challenges him to a duel and kills him. The Droid continues his journey with his new master.
The Hermit is the Fool at the end of his journey. In some versions of tarot lore, the white dog of the Fool represents the Hermit reincarnated as a guide, looping the cycle of Fool to Hermit back to Fool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had this in mind, until the very last page when the text all but confirms it as the droid, standing in for the dog, calls his new master a fool. Good read.
