But he genuinely, truly enjoyed your company, even if it was only a brief, he still smiled fondly upon the memories he had made with you. He was this big important superhero, brimming with confidence, yet you pulled him back down to earth and helped him in enjoy the simpler things.

Let’s face it, Bens an asshole, a grade A motherfucker, he knows you know it, so why, why do you even bother to try and get close to him? Every time you did he’d hit you with a nasty remark, yet you still continued to hang out with him, and he didn’t know if he liked that.

You were a lot of things, persistent, annoying, stubborn, but most of all you did care about Ben. During the time you spent together, which was really you showing up and Ben begrudgingly putting up with you, you sometimes saw a crack in Bens tough guy façade, seeing instead someone who was just afraid to get rejected, and he hated (or in truth, loved) the fact you always told him you were there for him if he needed it.

Time with Ben usually included clubs, parties, anywhere he was invited to as a guest or honour. He had a habit of showing off to you if you were looking at him, which always got a chuckle and an eye roll from you. He’d fake offence at it (okay maybe he was a little offended) and it would send you both into fits of laughter, maybe having you around wasn’t so bad.

And though he never admit it, you did open him up to seeking help and comfort in others, even if it was only him asking for a hug in private or him admitting when he’s mentally drained (which was rare even so)

TSA // Alphonso Hargreeves

Alphonso is actually quite a chill guy, aside from his tendency to make snarky comments about people. Hanging out with him usually includes lounging around the Sparrow Academy or late night food runs.

Of course, Jayme usually hangs around with you two as well, but you don’t mind, their easy going attitude suits you just nicely.

Banter is a usual thing between you two, if the sparrows didn’t know any better they’d think you hated each-other, which was quite the contrary since you were probably each-others favourite people. Even if alphonso isn’t the most empathetic person he does try to use his status as a sparrow to keep you safe from people, especially while your together in the town at night.

When you’re in the sparrow academy however, you’re usually watching some form of horror movie with him, listening to him joke about the shitty affects, saying that you’d make a better monster, and laughing at your fake offended gasp as you clutch at your chest.

When he takes off his shirt and throws it away, he saw Vanya looking him directly in his eyes. After his work-out they go to a café and talk, ‘’I’m glad we’re doing this. Whatever happens between our two families, the number ones should orchestrate it.’’ Marcus says while taking off his hand gloves ‘’I’m number seven, actually.’’ Vanya responds while looking at Marcus. ‘’Then somebody screwed up’’ Marcus said after taking a sip of his coffee. Vanya replies with ‘’my brothers actually think you’re going to come after us. I don’t want a war we’ve lost enough already.’’  Marcus scoffed. ‘’You shouldn’t have attacked us in our own house.’’ Marcus says while putting down his coffee. ‘’Look this isn’t personal, but we’re the only superhero game in town. We have this place under complete control. But if your people start taking shots at us, it will give the sheep ideas.’’ Vanya sighs ‘’we won’t.’’ Marcus laughed with sarcasm ‘’And I’m just supposed to take your word on that? For your whole family? You’re not even their number one and I’m sorry, but I can’t take the risk. So if you came here to beg me not to make the next move..’’ Marcus said while putting on his gloves,

 Vanya replies while looking up at Marcus who already stood up. ‘’I came here to tell you by tomorrow morning, when your busloads of fans show up, I’m gonna be there on your front lawn, and I’m gonna call you out for a fight, just you and me.’’ Marcus looks confused and asks why. ‘’Because your team is good. Better than mine, maybe. But I don’t think you’re better than me, Marcus. I ended the world Twice. And you? You’re just meat in spandex. And I bet you don’t want the whole world watching, when I prove that to you.’’ Vanya said while making things move around them, Marcus replies ‘’What do you really want, Vanya?’’ you have something I need, and I want it back.

Ben’s Pov

 One off Fei’s birds flew back into her room, and says ‘’He’s making a deal with them.’’ I’ll handle it.’’ Ben responds annoyed, Fei looks at Ben and then walks away.

  Marcus Pov

Marcus walks down in the basement and sees Grace, ‘Marcus, Have you seen a briefcase? asked Grace while drawing something on the ground, ‘’What you doing? Marcus said worried walking closer, ‘’Worshiping.’’ Grace responds and continues drawing, Marcus then sees a big glowing round thing ‘’Holy shit.’’ he replied ‘’Yes, it is holy, isn’t it beautiful.’’ Grace said standing up. ‘’What is this thing Grace?’’ Grace stares into it. ‘’It’s a miracle I can’t make out what its saying tough, can you? Grace askes while smiling, ‘’It’s just noise.’’ Marcus responds while getting closer to the glowing thing almost even touching it, ‘’No Marcus. ‘’It’s a message from God, listen.’’ ‘’I think I can hear it.’’ Marcus said while touching it and a shockwave comes around Marcus and then he screams in pain and vanishes with many other things. Grace just smiles and sits back on the ground.

 The next day all of you notice Marcus is gone. Fei walks up to Ben ‘’I found one off them.’’ Ben responds ‘’let me wake up Y/n and then we go’’ Ben goes to your shared room and says ‘’Hey Y/n, love, wake up, Marcus is missing.’’ The umbrella kidnapped him, Fei said she saw one of them so wake up and we will rescue him.’’ Still not sure what actually happened you agree and decide to get ready. Ben, Sloane, You, Fei and Christopher decided to go kidnap Luther, the big guy. After watching him being unaware of Fei’s birds following him. He later he realizes what’s going on and starts to run faster and then runs into a lantern causing it to fall. Sloane made him fly and says ‘’Hello stranger’’ ‘’Oh hey.’’ he responded. You walked up to him and kicked him in the face as hard as possible, causing him to black out. 10 minutes later after you got home Ben asks ‘’you okay, love?’’ ‘’Yea I’m fine Benerrino, nothing better than kidnapping someone in the morning.’’ Ben Laugh and says ‘’We are getting Marcus back only by this way and stop calling me that.’’ 20 minutes later you all sit all the table and see Luther walking in the room with a dwell ‘’Ah, there he is.’’ Alphonso said laughing, ‘’Please, join us.’’ Fei said while eating ‘’It’s okay. Nobody is gonna hurt you.’’ Ben responded ‘’I might.’’ you replied jokingly while taking some toast, ‘’Smoothie?’’ Sloane askes nicely Luther responded while putting down the dwell ‘’Yeah, thanks.’’ ‘’You must be starving. Come join us.’’ Fei asked while putting food in her mouth, Luther joined cuz he saw all the butter on the table. He is taking the seat across Ben.

‘’So, we know your number one. But we haven’t been formally introduced yet. I’m Ben, number two and this is my wife Y/n number eight.’’ Ben said while taking your hand, ‘’It is so good to see you guys again.’’ Luther says before going back to eat. ‘’Why does everyone keep looking at us like that’’ you said annoyed ‘’Because Ben has been dead for 15 years and you almost 1 month.’’ ‘’DEAD WE DIE AND NOT EVEN TOGETHER!’’ You think to yourself ‘’Dead?, What do you mean, dead?’’ Ben said mad while looking at Luther. ‘’It’s kind of a long story’’ Luther shrugs and looks away. Fei and the rest introduced themselves. Ben introduces Christopher by saying ‘’Don’t mind him, he’s in a bit of a saucy mood today.’’ Something that makes everyone laugh at the inside joke. Luther then also laughed without understanding it something that made you laugh harder.

‘’Wait, uh, what about, um, number 1?’’ Luther askes while putting food in his mouth. The mood got ruined, and everyone looked serious at Luther. ‘’What about him?’’ you ask dead serious, ‘’Where is he?’’ Luther responded. Ben stabs into the table, ‘’That’s what we like to know.’’ Ben threatens. ‘’Are we playing a game?’’ Luther asks with a dumb smile on his face Ben replies with ‘’Whatever game the umbrellas are playing, you’re gonna lose! You took our number one, so we took you.’’ Luther looks confused and says ‘’Wait we took Marcus? Why would we do that?’’ ‘’Act of war or a Death wish?’’ Jayme said. Sloane explains that the last time the sparrows saw Marcus they were with his sibling, the little one with big powers. ‘’Vanya? It does not sound like Vanya to go and kidnap anybody. You know, having said that, I am usually the last to know about these kind off things.’’ Luther said while eating, ‘’You’re their number one, shouldn’t you know everything’’ you ask confused ‘’I know you think so, but discipline has never really been our strong suit. It’s pretty much free-for-all over here.’’ Luther said chuckling.

Luther says that his siblings are probably worried sick about him and that if you free him, he’ll send Marcus over without a scratch. He stands up and tries to leave. Ben however pulls him back down and states “What’s the rush? Stick around till Marcus is back.” Luther makes an attempt to scare him all it does is push him further, “Oh and if you try to escape Fei’s birds with peck your eyes out and make a nest inside your skull. And if you don’t like that Y/n will make you suffer and let you beg for death.’’ Ben said chuckling and takes your arm, You and Fei giggle and both like that idea, ‘’Ben, we need to talk.’’ you say once you two are alone, ‘’sure what’s wrong?’’ Ben said worried ‘’Do you believe him that we died and are not even together. That other guy with the hat said also something like that.’’ You say while looking at the ground ‘Of course not! They are trying to play with us and see our weakness.’’ Ben replied walking close to you and cups your face. ‘’Yea your right, thank you Benerrino.’’ You say ‘’Anything for my wife, but don’t call me that any more seriously Ben replies while hugging you. Thinking to yourself you might think that there lies a truth in what Luther said.

2 hours later you were reading a book in your room while Fei came in and says ‘’Family meeting something happened to Jayme and Alphonso.’’ You looked up to her and rushed down. In the room you immediately hugged Jayme and asked if she was okay. She and Alphonso where both okay. Some minutes later Luther comes into the living room. Fei says ‘’Doesn’t Look like your family is coming anytime soon.’’ Luther replied sarcastically ‘’Oh, no, I’m sure they’re just, you know, working out the final details and… ‘’ Luther stops talking when Ben stands up walking to him and say smirking, ‘’Relax. You’re free to go.’’ Luther looked surprised ‘’Why?’’ ‘’See it as a gesture of goodwill. But I want you to pass along a very important message to your family.’’ Ben said walking closer to Luther. ‘’Yeah of course’’ Luther said smiling. ‘’Let Marcus go and if any of you hurt one hair on him, we’ll come for you. All of you. And I promise we won’t be so hospitable next time. And You’ll do as we say, or else…’’ you said standing and showing your powers whiles Fei lets her Birds show, ‘’Birds. In my brain or suffering till I beg for death. Got it.’’ Luther said nervous ‘’Don’t forget your tote bag.’’ Ben said while snapping his fingers and smiling. Alphonso grabs it and gives it to Luther. He takes it and gives Sloane a sad look ‘’Hope you enjoyed your stay.’’ Ben said and Luther walked outside. You took Sloane’s arm and whispered if she liked Luther. She blushed and ran to her room.

Later in the night you and Ben were in your room and said ‘’I will take a glass of water want something?’’ ‘’No thanks Y/n. First Dates & French Fries (Jayme Hargreeves x reader)

Jayme thought you looked amazing. To anyone else, you would've looked like any other normal couple eating out at some four star fast food place (and putting aside her venom spitting abilities, you were) but to her, you were extraordinary. Like the Taj Mahal and some ancient Roman colosseum put together.

To you, on the other hand, you looked and felt like a hot mess. One of the reasons you'd agreed to the place Jayme had picked was so you wouldn't have to dress up, but now you were seriously regretting that decision.

Your clothes were torn and frayed, and the bags under your eyes might as well have been designer. Not to mention the French fry grease covering your hands that you were sure made you look like an utter slob. Had you asked Jayme what she thought, she would have said you looked perfect, just like she did when you first left your house.

Noticing your slumped posture, she reached across the rickety booth and grabbed your hand where it had been laying on the table. Lacing her fingers through yours, she quirked her eyebrow at you while asking, "Wanna get out of here?"

You nodded, grabbing the small remaining amount of fries that lay on the napkin so you could take them with you. The two of you held hands as you walked the empty city streets, taking in the peaceful calm of the night. Well, as peaceful as it could get it New York, anyway.

You never liked walking out alone past a certain hour, but you felt safe with Jayme. You trusted her immensely when it came to her protecting you; not that anyone would dare mess with her in the first place. Not with the amount of fear she instilled in others just by a single glare.

Laughing, you watched as she stuck two of the French fries between her upper lip and teeth, giving her the impression of a walrus. By now, they were soggy and cold, no longer the hot and crispy delight they had been less than thirty minutes ago. Neither of you cared.

You'd spend every date with her eating at crappy restaurants where the food tasted like cardboard and the chairs were always wobbly if it meant you got to spend time with her. And she'd spend every night with you walking up and down those poorly lit streets, stealing your leftover fries and doing bad impressions if it meant she would forever get to hear your laughter.

Going On Dates with The Sparrow Academy

(Summary: You and the members of the Sparrow Academy go on dates but how do they plan them?)

(Note: Season 3 I just a few days away from it's release so forgive me if some personalities and such might not match. I just wanted to write something more on them.)

Marcus

*As number 1 Marcus likes to make a good impression. He grew nervous when he asked you on a date, he kinda had it planned out but didn't put his hopes up fearing you would reject him.

*He was genuinely surprised when you happily accepted his date. Since he knows that nothing escaped from his father, usually he would be taught to tell his father everything but he hid you as a secret.

*Every now and then at nights he would escape from the academy and meet you outside.

*Sometimes a date wasn't possible so it would just be you both walking around for hours, he would apologize repeatedly for being the worse boyfriend.

*You would smile and him and let him know that dates didn't matter, you just wanted to spend time with him and make him feel happy since he rarely gets to be it.

*Both of you would either order a whole lot of food from Griddy's donuts and aimlessly walk around town and share childhood memories together.

*He would become flustered whenever you two would pass through the many announcements and posters of the Sparrows Academy posing like the superheroes they are.

*You would reassure him that you loved him and not because he was just a superhero. Sometimes some fans would recognize him which would mean in the two of you running off back to the academy to hide.

*But nonetheless you would always thank Marcus for taking his time to spend it with you.

Ben

*You and Ben started dating because of Reginald. You come from a wealthy family so the old man thought it was great for two string figures to date, you knew that the whole dating would be fake since you and Ben didn't get along.

*After countless of dates and faking your feelings to the public was when he started to feel different towards you.

*He suddenly because overprotective of you when a villain showed up and nearly harmed you. Since then he became a sort of body guard always looking out for you.

*Ben wouldn't admit it at all but he started to love spending time with you. So when the time came, he was blunt and expressed his true feelings.

*You know how hard it is for him to show his true colors and feelings due to his father raising him and his siblings as nothing but pawns. So you made sure to always be there for him, just like he was with you.

*Both or you became an inseparable pair. His siblings like to tease him behind his back and actually compliments on you for bringing the true Ben out of his shell.

Fei

*Would try and make everything perfect for your date with her. But when you start to question and realize how beautifully she prepared everything, she will deny and make it seem like it wasn't a big deal to her.

*Internally she would be losing her mind at seeing how happy she made you feel.

*You both don't often get to hang out on dates so when there is time she will make sure you have a great time.

*She absolutely loves seeing you happy and adores it when you treat her well along with her birds. You weren't fond of birds but she showed you how fragile and kind they actually are.

*Most dates would be held at the rooftop where no one can bother you two. That way you could also admire the birds around and praise her superpower.

*Fei would sometimes surprise you with small gifts often apologizing for not getting something expensive. You would kiss her and thank her many times for even thinking about you.

*You didn't want last incident to repeat anyways. Last time you both went outside on a date, she took you to the zoo and you likes a cute stuffed animal, they were sold out and she almost put up a fight when she demanded one for you.

*In the end you got what you wanted but felt embarrassed that she would go as far for something so small.

Alphonso

*You and Alphonso barely have time to go on dates. He's out saving the world and with his father around and his strict rules it hard for you to even hang out.

*On one of his free days he'll invite you over for a date. He won't say it but he's been planning it for weeks.

*You know he's been through a lot and isn't comfortable in his skin but you always reassure him that he's perfect.

*He wanted to make an effort in looking himself look good and ordering something to eat other than junk food to impress you.

*Though sometimes you would surprise him with a full box of donuts from Griddy's for you both to eat.

*You don't mind having a date at the Academy since he sometimes feels uncomfortable being out in public. You won't hesitate to punch someone if they were to comment on you both being a couple.

*He tries to not laugh when he sees you punch someone, though he will start cracking a few jokes once you both are far.

*His siblings won't admit it but you both are perfect for each other.

Sloane

*Sloane for months have dreamt of having a perfect date with you. She won't hesitate to put in a lot or thought and money or money into it, even if it might get her in trouble.

*The poor girl only wants to be loved by someone so she feels extremely lucky that she met you by accident.

*Both of you hit it off pretty easy and fast not wanting time on dating. So since the beginning she's been planning dates up ahead.

*She always loves to surprise you. Sometimes you would be taking a walk down the park and you'll spot a blanket on the grass with your favorite food and wine.

*You would talk about your future plans while holding hands and cuddling, not minding the stares you might get from people or the scolding from her siblings.

*She would be the best girlfriend and always put you first before her especially if you were to be in any type of danger. You don't often get to see her angry but prepare for it if someone were to insult or hurt you.

*Jayme

*Jayme was a hard person to read and she often intimated you and would tease you. She knew well about your feelings for her so she wanted to toy with you for a bit before she asked you on a date out of nowhere.

*Sometimes her attitude would sometimes scare you. She wouldn't hesitate to hurt someone if they were to either flirt or try to hurt you.

*The dates would consist on her inviting you to bowling, dinner or even going out to watch movies. She would gets recognized quite a bit so she would hide herself in a hoodie and take your hand.

*She wouldn't get affected that much on Reginald's words when it came to her problems, bur she would reconsider on how she feels for her father when he starts talking on how you're bad influence on her and the Academy.

*Jayme loves you a lot but would deeply think about your relationship with her. Would she leave the academy forever if she truly wanted you to be happy with her?

*You don't see each other as often as you would like once she has work. The more time passes as you as a couple, she would use her powers and show you of the perfect dream, both of you happily living together without any crime.

I love feedback! So feel free to give some :) I’m also thinking about adding a part three, the wedding. But if this works better as a two parter it’s forgotten.

It was a race against time, how fast even is this elevator? Is everyone still in the lobby? Maybe we’ll get lucky.

Ben stands, back to the wall and arms crossed.

“He seemed terrified.” He shrugs.

“Seemed? Put yourself in his position.” I shake my head with a short laugh.

“I’d much prefer the one I was in, thanks.”

“Deviant.”

“You love me.” He smirks, a softness in his eyes.

“It’s my fatal flaw.”

“Shush.” The elevator dings after what felt like forever.

I run out the room, in hopes that his first thought would be to seek out the lobby loiterers.

“Ben Asshole Hargreeves! Where are you?!” I shout, passing columns and empty seats.

I hear a muffled kerfuffle a couple of turns away, I beeline for the noise in haste, other Ben on my heels.

“Stay here.” I whisper to him, nodding to a large pillar, he salutes me.

“What are you telling us?” Viktor’s calm yet confused voice is the first clear dialect I hear.

“I’m telling you that I am traumatised! You idiots!” He’s seething, spit exiting his mouth.

“You better have not opened your full of shit mouth.” I grumble, storming over to the copy.

“I don’t know what you mean? Other than the fact I saw my doppelgänger with his dick inside of you!” He screams in my face, suddenly I’m surrounded by gasps and low murmurs.

“What?!” Diego’s voice echos, bouncing off each wall, Lila grabs his hand.

“Oh, come on! You really believe him? He’s a dickwad!” I preface with my hands wild in motion, fingers crossed for my acting skills.

“Actually, yeah, why should we believe you? I mean, Klaus hasn’t even seen him since we got here and we don’t even know if Y/n can see him too?”

“Wait, that’s his jacke-” Damn it, Klaus.

My plan almost worked, until a clatter sounds from the pillow to my left. I forgot about the leather currently draping over my shoulders was something Klaus would recognise.

“Shit!” I heard Ben’s whisper-yell.

“Ben?”

“Ben!”

“Is that you, Benerino?”

He comes out with his hands help up.

There isn’t much time for anyone to react before the Sparrow copy is protruding his tentacles, grabbing my boyfriend by the neck.

He does the same, now they’re both choking themselves to death.

“Both of you, stop!” I throw my hands up, letting my power turn my Ben into mist. I run placing myself in front of him, before letting him return to his state.

“Thanks, babe.”

“Anytime.” I breath out.

“Wait, babe?” Allison scoffs.

“Is there…something I don’t know?“ Klaus narrows his eyes at me in a sarcastic manner.

“How long has this been going on?” Diego snaps.

Five is still silent, nursing a glass of what I can only assume is not good for his little body.

“Since he helped me after I cut my finger on that broken plate. The one with the flowers one, I wouldn’t stop crying, I stole ice cream for a week afterwards to make myself feel better.” I mumble.

“That was when we were fourteen!” Diego is wide eyed.

“So…it’s been going on for this long?” Luther finally speaks up.

“I mean, can you blame me? Ben is everything I’ve ever known. He was my anchor of sorts.” I shrugged, thinking back to the times he had helped me out of my nightmares and fits. I look towards the copy, an unreadable expression on his face.

“I thought I was your anchor!” Klaus whines.

“You have to be, we were pushed out from the same womb!” I reason, Ben’s hand finds a place on my shoulder.

“Is this why you haven’t ever been out on a date? You’ve never had a boyfriend? Never even had a crush-” I cut Allison off.

“I’ve done all of those, just…with Ben.” A smile paints my face, I lean into his chest. I feel him press a kiss to the top of my head.

“I wonder what ghost sex is like.” Lila chimes in, receiving a smack to the arm from her…boyfriend? I giggle, I will absolutely have to describe it to her later.

“So…you, dear sister, have been screwing my best friend behind my back fooooor…fifteen years give or take?” Klaus stands from his place on a chair, sauntering over to me. My heart plummets.

“I-I’m sorry, Klaus, I-”

“I mean…how dare you!” Now I realise, he’s not mad at all, he’s using his fake-mad tone. The one I’ve had to deal with all my life.

I roll my eyes, flipping him off.

“I mean I thought you were a virgin! A complete opposite to me, oh, but now I see it all. You, saucy minx, you!” He gives me a little hand flick motion.

Luther and Sloane are too busy staring into each other eyes.

“We all did.” Allison shrugs.

“I mean, I gotta know all the details now. Oooh! Did he use his tenties? Golly darn, ghost sex? Why didn’t I think of that?” He huffs out.

“Never say tenties again.” Ben finally speaks from behind me.

“Yeah, please.” The quiet Sparrow adds, breaking his silence.

“So whadd’you think of all this fake Ben?” Klaus wiggles his shoulders at him.

“I’m not- I’m not fake Ben. I’m still me. This is…weird. Kind of, violating actually.” He knocks back a glass of whatever he had poured from behind the bar.

“Oh, you bet it’s violating! Think of all the blowjizzles he got and you didn’t-”

“Why would I want them in the first place?” He squints his eyes, scoffing at my brother.

“I mean, not in an incesty way, but we are two hot twins!” Klaus tries to reason, throwing out his arms either side of him.

“You’re very cocky, you know that?” The Sparrow spits out.

“Well, right back at you, sweetheart!” Klaus drums his fingers against the bar.

“This is insane.” Allison states, shaking her head as she throws up her hands, walking towards the elevator.

“Don’t go, Alliso-” Viktor gets up, trailing after her.

“I don’t wanna hear another word from you.”

They both disappear around the corner.

“This family is doomed.” Five quips, taking another sip.

“Why have you been so quiet? Mr Mysterious?” Luther raises an eyebrow at my older-younger sibling.

“I though we all knew this? It’s deathly obvious. Y/n, darling, no offence but you are in no way discrete.” He places a faux hand over his heart.

“None taken, bestie.” I feel Ben’s arms wrap around my middle.

“Don’t call me bestie.”

“But you’re my bestie! Oh, c’mon, Five!” I pout at him and he rolls his eyes in return, I know I’m his favourite.

“Can you take your hands off her? All this is making my head spin.” Spen pinches his nose.

��Why would I do that? Maybe you should lay off the liquor.” My Ben challenges him.

“It’s fucking weird!”

“What’s weird about a dead guy holding his girl in front of his douche-twin?” I hear the sarcasm roll off his tongue, he just can’t help himself.

“Are you hearing yourself right now?”

He unwraps just arms and walks toward the bar, I hear footsteps walk over to me, Lila.

They start laying insults at each other, morphing into Korean. I blink my eyes, a little stunned at the-

“Am i the only one that finds this incredibly sexy yet freakish?” There Lila goes again, finding her way to tap into my brain.

“Absolutely not.” I whisper, she rests her head on my shoulder. Since the apocalypse started, we had become quite close. Our teasing relationships with Five had kicked it into motion, we just bonded.

“I’m still weirded out by you two, it’s like your made for each other or somethin’.” Diego grumbles, looking at Lila and I.

“You should be over the moon that I get along with your sister!” She gasps.

“Whatever.” Poor, moody, Diego.

“Okay that’s enough, you both have too much personality to get along.” I stop the quarrelling and grab my boyfriends forearm, pulling him to come sit with me and Diego. Lila follows, seating herself on his lap.

“Oh, I love foursomes!” Klaus gushes, a joke directed at us couch couples.

Lila raises her eyebrows at me, I tilt my head back as a joke.

“Hey!” Diego warns, securing his arms around her.

“What?” She acts innocent.

“Stop trying to come on to my sister!” He whines.

“Bet she’d love it, wouldn’t you kitten?” She winks at me, a totally joke but if I didn’t have Ben I wouldn’t be opposed.

“Reading my mind, sweetie.” I give her some finger guns. Ben shakes his head next to me, used to my humour, he wraps an around around my shoulders.

“Seriously though, has he used his tenties?” Klaus giggles.

“Stop.” Ben.

“Klaus!” Me.

“Hey, can I talk to you? For a second?” A soft spoken question.

I turn around to see the man who had grabbed my wrist, I look back at my dysfunctional family heading towards the elevator.

“If you must.” I sigh out, removing myself from his touch, pulling Ben’s jacket tighter around me as I crossed my arms.

“I’m sorry about- trying to choke out your boyfriend-” a slight pause in his speech, “but you need to understand how freaky this shit is.” He looks down at his shoes.

“I understand. How do you think I felt the first time I saw him? He was dead. I thought he was gone forever, then I thought I was losing my damn mind.” I think this is the most honest I had been with the man stood before me.

“I can’t imagine. So- how does this whole thing work?”

“What thing?” I furrow my eyebrows.

“You know, you being with him and me having to…deal with it.”

“You were never apart of the equation in the first place? You just happened to be alive here, so yeah, you are just going to have to deal with it. Ignore it-”

“I can’t ignore it!” He groans out.

“Oh, please, enlighten me.” I roll my eyes.

“Because you’re wasting you’re life on a ghost! He’s dead, he’s not coming back! You’re alive, you can-”

“I can what? Die in less than twenty hour hours and join him? You’re failing to see how this apocalypse thing works-”

“What if we can stop it?” He’s frantic with his hands.

“What if we can’t?”

“We just have to try-”

“I don’t need to waste my time, I want to be with my family before I go. I can always come back but…they can’t. This is their last chance to live. Ben and I will always be. And if you can’t turn a blind eye-”

“You could have been with me.” His voice is low, almost a whisper, but not quiet enough for me to miss it.

“And why would I want that?”

“I’m alive. I can be there for you-”

“Ben has been there for me! For my whole life! Dead or alive, he’s never failed me. You failed all of us, you sit in the corner and mope around. You’re a coward, but you want the top spot.”

He takes a moment to listen to my words.

“What’s so great about him? What’s so amazing? Why can’t I be Ben? Why am I fake fucking Ben?” His shell had started to crack since we started but now, the coating is sliding right off him.

“He’s honest, he’ll never be afraid to use his voice. He’s caring, almost too caring, not afraid to slap my brother around if he doesn’t get his shit together. He’s my brother’s nightmare yet his safety blanket, he wouldn’t admit it but he has a heart of gold. He can talk so ugly but he’s not a bully. You are, but you don’t have to be! You don’t need to be the asshole you fight to be.”

“I wasn’t even invited to the bachelor party.”

“That’s what you’re taking away from this? Stop feeling sorry for yourself, step up. You want to be number one? Then go ahead. But you can’t walk around here acting like a saving grace, we’re a team, we’re not an army.”

“I see why he loves you.” He leans against the bar.

“And do you see why I love him?” I search his eyes, desperate to find some heart.

“I think I’m getting it.”

“Then we’re not going to have any more problems, are we?” I feel a weight lift from my shoulders.

“I thought-I thought you were single, you know?” He laughs a little, it’s somber yet light hearted.

“Everyone did.”

“Turns out you just can’t get enough of me.” A joke flies off his tongue, we have a break through.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself, charming. You need more fleshing out before you go all cocky on me.” I shake my head, returning his smile.

“I…know I can be better.”

“I know you can too, there’s always going to be apart of you that’s good. You were raised in the clasp an iron fist, wound tighter than we had experienced. Dear Reggie wanted to make sure you were nothing like us, but you can’t rule over the heart. I need you to believe in yourself and not the ability to control.”

“I still think it’s creepy.” His mind travels back to Ben and I.

“Maybe if things had gone differently, I would’ve seen you. For who you are, not who you want to be.” His face changes at this.

“I think I would have liked that.”

“Of course you would, you’re Ben Hargreeves. No matter the timeline.”

“I still think we have a chance to do this. To save everything.”

“Come back to me when you have a plan, as much as I love the perks of the void, I do like it here. I wouldn’t mind hearing you out.”

“I will, I’ll find you.”

“Stay honest, stay yourself.”

“I’ll try.”

“See you at the wedding.” I smirk.

“Oh, god.” He groans.

“Let loose, have some fun before we all perish.” I turn to leave, I still have things to find before poisoning my liver with my favourite people.

Alphonso has only ever had interaction with the outside world for about, what…5 ish years? sure he’s spent most of his life saving other people but he’s never actually spoken to them more than an “are you okay?” when he saves them from either a robbery or something like that, and his only actual friend in the academy had been his sister, Jayme.

This all changed however, when he got a boyfriend. Alphonso has never been in a romantic relationship before, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t try his best to make sure you know how much he loves you.

He mostly shows love through poking fun/light teasing, snarky little remarks here and there. This is always usually followed by an equally quick comeback from you, which is a prelude to the banter that will go on for hours. In public he’s not physically affectionate, except for maybe holding hands. It’s not that he’d mind letting the world know that you were everything to him, but mostly that he’s afraid of what people would say to you about him.

The world isn’t nice to people like him, and he’s used to peoples comments on his appearance, being Reggie’s kid he has to have thick skin right? But it’ll never get easier being stared or pointed at. Even if it’ll never erase how the media keeps him under a microscope, always bringing up his scarring, the soft compliments he gets from you melts away the pain even for a moment. “You’re so handsome ‘Fonz,” “I love everything about you, y’know?” hearing this coming from his boyfriend - someone he never expected to have in his life- well, maybe he starts to believe it just a little bit.

When you do hang out in public, he takes you to his favourite locations in the city, and if you have some you want to show him, he’s more than enthusiastic to let you take him there. He also enjoys cheesy movie dates it he’s able to rent out the whole theater, he doesn’t want people interrupting his movie night with you. You’ve definitely helped him experience things he’d never thought he’d ever have (like having a playlist on spotify dedicated to him, he didn’t even know what spotify was until he met you actually)

However in private, he can’t get enough of you. You can expect a few pecks on the cheek, or a warm hug from behind while you’re checking you phone, his head resting on the back of yours slightly as he tells you he loves you. When you’re alone with him in his room, cuddles are definitely a must too, you are either resting on his chest, his arm wrapped around you, or he’s laying on yours, your fingers playing with the hair on the nape of his neck. He’d never tell you this, but he appreciates the softer side of your relationship, where he can just relax for once.

For anniversaries he definitely spends a shit ton of money on you, like his dad’s loaded so he might as well use the old man’s money to make someone happy, however he doesn’t actually know what to get you. Since he’s never had an anniversary to look forward too, but you always tell him anything he gets you will mean more than the world to you.

Speaking of relaxing, most of that was spent at your place. Alphonso was much too cautious of his family to bring you over, and he knew that sneaking you in would be too risky, and as laid back as he could be, the thought of accidentally putting his boyfriend in harms way made his stomach turn. But he knew they had to know at some point, especially Jayme. And she’d figure it out whether or not Alphonso was ready to talk about you.

Luckily for Alphonso (or maybe unluckily) Fei had been keeping an eye on him, Jayme had made the point it was odd he was leaving more, especially without her. So Fei and Jayme decided that a few of her birds could follow him to see what he was up to. They didn’t know what to expect really, but him having a secret lover they didn’t know about was definitely not a possibility they had thought of.

So when ‘Fonz decided to tell Jayme, was then told she had always known and so did Fei because her birds had been watching him, Alphonso’s jaw nearly dropped to the floor. He made Jayme promise to not tell anyone and make sure Fei didn’t either.

“Too late fuck face literally everyone knows, plus why would it be that big of a deal? Ben goes through girls like clockwork, just because you have a boyfriend doesn’t mean we’re gonna dog pile you with questions”

When relaying this all to you over dinner at your place, you can’t help but giggle and suggest to Alphonso that you should probably meet his siblings personally sometime. He agrees, and now he has to think of a way to actually do that, but right now, he thinks he’ll just enjoy the food and your company first.

First Marcus, now they’re grabbing civilians off the streets?’’ Ben replied annoyed while getting up, Fei stopped cutting meat and responded ‘’Number 2 And Number 7? I suppose that means your number one now?’’ You got up and looked quite mad at Ben, he never called you by your number. ‘’Marcus is missing. I’m taking the reins.’’ Ben said while looking away from you, Fei chuckles at his response. Ben replied annoyed ‘’What? You think it should, be you? Fei looked at Ben and said ‘’You had your chance once. Didn’t turn out too well, Now, did it?’’ ‘’Calm down, both off you, okay? You responded worried, Ben took one off Fei Birds in his hands and started to hurt it. ‘’Say that again.‘’ Ben said with a smirk on his face while Fei made her birds fly around them. 

Grace came in the room and asked to clean it, Ben then let go off the bird and said ‘’Do it quickly. ‘’You know I respect Marcus.’’ ‘’Of course,’’ Fei said mad, ‘’I would do anything to protect him.’’ Ben replied ‘’Sure.’’ Fei responded ‘’But we’ve been number 2, 3 and 8 for far too long, Fei. 10 minutes later ‘’Close your close and keep holding my hand, okay?’’ Ben said you reply smiling ‘’Will do Benerrino.’’ Ben steps out the car and goes your side and takes you out the car, you hold his hand and follow him, ‘’Open your eyes, my love.’’ Ben said smirking and you see a table, roses, candles, drinks, some food and the beautiful night light its was perfect, ‘’Ben its beautiful, thank you, I love you Benerino.’’ you replied while hugging him. ‘’I love you too Y/n but please do not ever call me that again.’’ Ben responded ‘’Nope I won’t stop saying it.’’ You replied while smiling, after 20 minutes drinking, eating laughing and talking Ben said ‘’I forgot something in the car, can you wait here for me?’’ you nod my head and give Ben a kiss on his cheek before he goes you get up. After 5 minutes ben came back while holding a small box, ‘’Y/n I love you, more than anything you know that, right?’’ Ben asks while getting closer, ‘’I know that and, I love you too Ben.’’ you responded while looking confused, Ben gets down on one knee and opens the small box and inside there is a ring ‘’Y/n Quinn, I love you more than anything, I never felt something like this and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I will take care of you, do anything to make you happy, protect you and if I do ever do something that hurts you, you can throw me on the couch, I truly love you Y/n I want to spend the rest of my days with you and have our own family in the future, so will you Y/n Quinn marry me and make me the happiest man alive?’’ Ben asked ‘’YES YES YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES, I will marry you!’’ you responded with tears in your eyes, Ben than puts the ring on your finger and kisses your lips, ‘’I love your y/n, you just made me that happiest man alive.’’ Ben replied and gave you one last kiss, before calling his family ‘’Hey Sloane Y/n said yes.’’ Ben replies Smiling, ‘’OMG congratulates everything is ready for the party, so you two can come home.’’ Sloane responds ‘’Thank you, see you soon Ben reply before taking y/n in his arms I love you, Ben very much I cannot wait for our wedding.’’ You responded Smiling.
