Patches & Pins Expo NYC 🎃🎃🎃

Patches and Pins Expo returned to the big Apple just in time to kick off the Halloween Weekend.

Back at the Metropolitan Pavilion in lower Manhattan,lines were long (as usual) but with a twist.

They were offering "Free Admission","Front of the Line" tickets for $12.00 and V.I.P $54.00 for the weekend.

They haven't done a weekend gig in a couple of years,which I wasn't too sure if this was more like an end of year "money squeeze",since there was no line management and everyone just went on whichever line when they lined up that morning.

The usual doors open at noon,but you won't get inside until 30 minutes after and then instead of being on the main floor,we had to walk up five flights of stairs to get to the fifth floor.

The Level (7,500 square feet) which held roughly twenty vendors, smallest I've ever seen since attending,so did a majority of the vendors who would have been here,lucked up and found their way to New York Comic Con instead and Baltimore Comic Con this weekend?

The late actor Michael Williams who passed away last year,seen in this photograph wearing one of the designers line of sweaters.

Personal Update

Hey guys sorry this blog is like dying. I know some of you guys care about me tho so here’s the TEA.

Alex (@queelava / @typhloo) and I have now been dating for two years and things between us are honestly so good, its still just as exciting when we first started dating and I love her a lot. We don’t have any plans set in place to see each other any time soon which is a sad but we know it’ll come.

I moved out of my parents place and am now living that #BigCityLife. I’ve gotten a job making promotional videos for a company here, it’s only one day a week but I’m so happy to finally be working in the field that I studied for.

Since I’m not earning much from my job I’m basically streaming full-time on Twitch (twitch.tv/thebk if you were wondering), and it’s actually going really well. I’ve done a tonne of networking and my stream is starting to get out there and I’m actually earning money which is wild? I’m sponsored by a small business and really really wanna continue.

I think a lot about my blog here and wish there was more content I could come up with for it but it’s so hard when the anime isn’t airing and there’s a lack of content for me to take inspiration from. I really wanna get back into making more digital art and I miss my Love Live family a lot, but I get social anxiety when I think about trying to reconnect with some of you.

I hope everyone is well and I still have so much love for everyone here. I miss you guys ♥

Past/AU Wash/Ayani I stan harder than anything, but sometimes with Taylor because that’s the only available content dklfjghdkl. Same kinda thing with Wash/Taylor on its own because like,, I probably wouldn’t have cared too much about it if fanfiction had given me any other choice, but again adding the past dynamic with Ayani for Both of them has made it something entirely different. As the bondage wonder woman film has proven, I’m weak for M/F/F relationships of that dynamic.

Wash/Mira because what better way to infiltrate the colony’s defenses is to do the same to the second in command’s and then shatter her entire heart and go off to live in the jungle for a thousand days 

Wash/being happy and alive

Jim/Taylor because contrary to what the TN writers believe, gazing longingly thru binoculars at someone straddling the colony fence while shirtless isn’t straight behavior. Neither is taking them on a fishing trip alone where you almost die trying to reel in a dino fish with a rod right where your boyfriend’s other rod is 

Jim/Malcolm because Elizabeth is too gay to be with Either of them, especially considering how much tension they have over the whole thing

Elizabeth/Reilly because they’re both gay for Wash but Wash is an emotionally repressed goddess so they go for each other and it works

Wash/Rebecca for the stage right after the whole Mira thing. She doesn’t really Want to be with anyone but Rebecca is Very Persistent and they at least become friends, later friends with benefits once things are more stable, sooner fwb depending on exactly how much alcohol was involved.

Josh/Mark had Gay Trainwreck Potential let them be dumb gays together blease 

Skye/Maddy?? could’ve been nice depending on their ages tbh it’s so hard to read how old Skye is supposed to be considering her actress was tWENTY FIVE so I tend to just let it be 

Skye/Tasha if the above is messy because even though we saw Tasha like once after the pilot, it was gay activity. Plus she was played by Aisha Dee who went on to be lesbian icon Kat Edison. PLUS god have you sEEN how much flannel Skye wears??? Lesbian. 

Skye/Kara?? whatever Josh’s gf was named. AU where she lived anyway

This isn’t really Shippy as much as I just think it could’ve been cute if the show continued long enough to see them older than where we left off, but Zoe, Leah, and Sienna (in the timeline where Mira’s people rejoin the colony and she proves herself enough for Sienna to be sent back thru the portal) could have such a rad friend group that could develop into something more as time goes on

Britpop cafe au

Its a normal sunny morning at the the starbucks. Batista graham coxon is making coffee and noel gallagher is asleep at a table. In walks liam gallagher, a regular at this starbucks. He slyly slinked towards the counter looking at graham  he smiles a wolfish grin.. "a strawberry triple choc frappachino please" he rasps graham then grabs a coffee cup and while looking liam dead in the eyes pours bleach into the cup placing the lid on she passes it to the john lennon like man "thanks" liam looks down and notice that his name was spelt lurtle. Lurtle takes a seat across from the sleeping noel and sips his bleach in a coffee cup "this coffee tastes weird" he mumbles then suddenly in walks damon albarn  "is that damon albarn?" Said graham and lurtle in unison damon then starts screaming picks up a chair and starts smashing up the place he then smacks lurtle over the head killing him instantly noel opens one eye and watches as damon, still screaming, climbs on the bench pulls down his pants and takes a dump on the bench. Noel closes his eye this is not what he deserves. Graham then starstruck at this celebrity asks damon to sign his coffee cup damon then screams and swallows him whole he then climbs of the bench and walks out of the store.
