WATCH: Excision Debuts New Stage ‘The Evolution’ After Four Years With The Paradox

After four years, the Paradox is no more. Excision is ushering in a new era of his career with a new stage: The Evolution. The massive stage was debuted last night at the Tacoma Dome in Washington.

So far, Excision’s stages have gone through three stages: it began with an unnamed stage on tour in 2012, and then the Executioner came early 2013. Eventually, The Paradox was debuted in 2015. Four years is a long time to tour with the same stage production, but with the convenience of how modular it was, and how impressive the visuals were, and how much fans were enjoying it, there was little rush to bring in a new design.

Last night, the Evolution debuted and it’s Excision’s most on-brand design yet. The stage is shaped in a large X, surrounded by lots of additional LED panels and lots — loooooots — of lasers. It’s unclear if the additional panels will continue to be a part of the stage or if they’re something just for Tacoma Dome, but they definitely help to give the stage an even more larger-than-life impression than before.

Check out some of the videos from last night’s debut. Excision has assured fans that tonight’s entry to the Tacoma Dome will go more smoothly, as hundreds of fans were left out side waiting last night for over 3 hours trying to gain entry.

Story time!

So, I've been wanting to get my nose pierced for the last couple of years and I finally went through with it today. I'm home for break and there's this place near my hometown that I wanted to go to because I've been there with others before who were getting piercings and they're awesome. Anyway, I took one of my best friends from high school, or rather he took me because I have no car, and we were gonna go out to Wendy's afterwards for dinner. I had messaged ahead even though they take walkins because the piercer prefers if people let her know beforehand. So, we get there and as I'm filling out the paperwork, this mother and daughter walk in, one of which also wants to get her nose pierced. So, they sit down to wait, my friend sits down to wait, and I walk into the piercing room and sit in the chair. The door was open and the mother and daughter were sitting directly in my line of sight and I couldn't see me friend. Anyway, piercing goes fine, I tear up as expected because noses suck like that, and it's done in probably less than a minute. This is where shit decided to hit the fan.

Now, anyone who knows me knows that I hate needles, a lovely trait that I share with my dad and my sister. I figured that I would be fine though as I've gotten a tattoo in the last year and that went smoothly. Dear Lord, was I wrong.

So, I started to feel light headed as the piercer was cleaning up, not unexpected, and asked if I could just sit there for a few minutes. She said it was fine and turned a fan on to help me cool down. I have no idea how many minutes passed, but it felt like a long time as I just sat there, taking deep breaths and trying to get myself back together. I thought about laying on the ground as I know from prior experience that helps, but I didn't think I was stable enough to stand or move from the chair.

I clearly wasn't getting better and was starting to feel sick. Thepiercer came back in to check on me and I guess she could tell I was feeling sick because she asked if it was my stomach. Which was apparently the trigger for my stomach to try and escape via my mouth. Luckily, she was fast and got me the trash can before I started puking. And then she promptly left and was replaced by her coworker who brought me a wet paper towel and some dry ones for when I was done. He closed the door behind him, which I didn't notice until after. I just kept apologizing because i felt so bad about getting sick, but he kept telling me that it was okay and that I wasnt the first. Eventually, I get myself together and of course feel better after puking. The guy tells me to just go sit out on the couch for a few minutes before leaving, just to make sure I'm really okay.

The piercer apologized for leaving and told me that she can't handle puke, and I apologized again. The mother and daughter were super chill and understanding and the four of us talked before they went back to get pierced.

My friend and I sat there for at least another 10 minutes before I felt steady enough to leave and he, as usual, was super patient and understanding.

So, yeah. Tl;dr: I got my nose pierced and puked because needles suck and I dont think I can ever go back there...
