slowly but surely… 😔🥀🥀 another wip of my wintersberg piece

#trained so well in the gym yesterday that my whole body now hurts... i added weight to a lot of exercises #and yesterday i did a deep push-up from knees for the first time!! i did push-ups right to the floor! i've never been able to do this before #bc i've always had weak arms but the exercises in the gym helped me achieve this i was so glad 😭😭😭#although my right hand with suspected carpal tunnel syndrome was unhappy 😵‍💫😵‍💫 it began to hurt... but!! if usually it can hurt for #half a day after push-ups then this time it was for only a minute - exercises with an expander helped me! i do it for a two weeks now almost #everyday. i'm so glad that exercise is effective in my life and has a positive effect on my health. i really like to do this #train thinking about my favorite imaginary men thinking “i want to be like them” lol 😭😭#and listening to either a bimbo playlist or some hard rock where they yell in your ears ahaha nothing in between #0039pf shitposts #wintersberg #re8 #karl heisenberg #resident evil #re8 heisenberg

okay, so casper and nova, right? the casper and nova game is one big metaphor for simon and betty’s relationship. and the last thing we see in it is: nova tries to sacrifice herself so casper can get what he wants, and the choices are to either go with that, or nova lives but casper forgets her. and it’s obviously meant to parallel simon and betty’s situation in come along with me after they get swallowed by golb: either betty can sacrifice herself to keep simon safe, or she doesn’t but he goes back to being ice king. (um, that is, assuming that she was correct to think they might revert to the forms they had before getting digested after exiting golb. which is not something we have any actual evidence for. it was just a possibility that occurred to her and a risk she wasn’t willing to take.)

UM. EVERY PART OF THAT WAS BECAUSE OF DECISIONS BETTY MADE INDEPENDENTLY?

betty decides to jump through the portal when simon is trying to say goodbye to her, betty decides to fix the crown and then try to find a way to cure him even after he’s told her he’d rather die than be ice king again, betty decides to fucking summon golb, betty decides to push simon out of golb before he can react at all just in case the crown goes back to its former state once it leaves and just in case there’s no way to get rid of golb without its wish magic.

#the kilmeny read-along has been sooo funny to third-party #you guys are so genius #i always felt like kilmeny was maud’s ‘gotcha’#mostly because of this above journal entry #it felt like a total satirical play on traditional fairy tales #right down to how we see kilmeny’s life truly begin and develop and the moment she meets her ‘prince’ eric #like #right after she meets eric things progress for her… she sees herself for the first time… she perceives herself… and in the end she speaks #all things she hadn’t or couldn’t achieve without him #so here we have our damsel in distress… given growth and a beginning by a man that only wants to really trap her again #say nothing of the way kilmeny is the titular character and yet it is ERICS story #with god all things are possible and with maud all things are intentional #this feels like maud (a huge lover of fairy tales in general) having a bit of a go at these old-timey stories #how easy it is to suppose she was poking some fun at the Way of the World then too #her own existence as a woman was about to transform at the time she wrote it… she was engaged to ewen in 1908 #ANYWAY that is my whole entire 2¢#i’m about to go like posts and make it EVERYONEs problem so RIP to y’all’s notifs #lucy maud montgomery #kilmeny of the orchard

#the perfect albums. perfect perfect perfect albums #anyone want a mini rant about these albums? let's go #it's just pure perfection pure talent. no hiding behind flashy loud production. it's just a few instruments and good fucking lyrics #perfect melodies. taylor gets to play with her voice and do whatever she wants with it AND ACTUALLY LET IT SHOW THAT IT'S GOOD #you get what im saying? there are no high notes nothing of that but still her voice sounds the best it ever has in these albums #the songs are simple. but also they're not. the instruments are simple the singing is simple but also NOT AT ALL #she's not TRYING to show anything in these two albums. trying to prove something to achieve something you know? it makes perfect sense to me #it's simple talent that's just it. not hidden behind anything big but still there's NOTHING small or insignificant about these albums #i hope she goes back to that sound some time in the future. it's ok if she wants to do pop now more than ok #but it would be such a shame & wasted opportunity if she never goes back to that genre. it's perfect ideal for her. her best works

i'm a bit emotional about being a guest in xlmi zine because i remember when i was a baby writer. back then, i used to watch big amazing famous writers creating for zines and having a lot of kudos under their fics and getting artworks and a lot of love for their works. one quiet thought in my mind was "i wish i could be like that one day"... and look at me now being like the writers i used to look up to😭😭

#i remember getting a comment that someone wants to write like me... this was the moment i realized just how big of a writer i am #as a perfectionist it's easy for me to be like “oh this fic could be better” but other ppl still see it as something beautiful #like wow i create art on daily basis. i make something out of nothing. i write down emotions that are hard to describe. this is amazing #i'm so thankful for all the love i receive and i want to create even more beautiful fics for everyone to enjoy #i'm so proud of myself and i wish i can achieve even more #rina rambles~

the cover i commissioned for my book is almost finished... this feels so surreal.

#i cannot overstate how much painstaking effort i've put toward completing this novel over the course of like... basically a decade now.#the first in a very long-winded series but a monumental achievement nonetheless. and it'll be released THIS YEAR.#blazing through these final edits so by the time the cover art is finished i can start planning its debut.#there is literally nothing that i am more passionate about in this world than my art.#when i suggest that writing this book has saved my life that is by no means an exaggeration.#fame means little to me as does monetary value i just want to share what i love with others #after suffering a lifetime of isolation and ostracization #so i really hope you all will stay tuned. <3 #riley rambles #once it's finished i'll be working on finalizing the official page too! so look forward to that if you want to learn more.
