"perfect," she says. then i say my first words, other than hi, to them. "what was that?" my grandboss pauses then giggles under some crazy eyes, making a strangling motion at me. "you caught me slipping."

grandboss proceeds with introductions, 'trainee, meet mizz perfect. shes 4th in seniority on the team.' but i catch her, "tuh! its misses. cant go disrespecting the wife like that." my apologues trainee, this is misses perfect, with a respected wife.

cue the morning coffee bathroom run. i take my sweeet time because my party starts at FOUR THIRTY (430) and its not even 1 yet. upon my return it seems at though they finished the tour and general rundown, so they were all (boss, grandboss, trainee, driver, other server) standing in a wide arc, their backs to the storage and facing the desk / doorway. i barge in as i do and stop in my tracks... quick decision, is this a board meeting or last supper situation... "well, thank you everybody for meeting me here today, i hope you reviewed the agenda my assistant included in the invitation."

later on, having broken down our teams final party for the day -- a fancy convocation, requiring three pairs of hands to cart everything back -- im transferring the linens to their dirty hamper in the building over. the only freight elevator in the building runs through there, with standard issue grate-lock and a second reinforced mandible action pulley-door.

one window. two people chatting inside, one who ive endearingly borrowed a lighter from and another who i dude-banter with frequently when i pass through. other side's door is open, theyre unloading but moseying through it. i wait till the woman is facing the window and AH! i flash into the framed view like a pasty LED-lit monster. she jumps, yells through the gasket in the steel door, "girl im gonna kill you!" and were all smackin our knees.
