Thrilling news with my sister this fine day

We have many cats who live at our house that are not ours, one was a cat who we got in 2014 who ran away but he returns to us and is nice to me specifically, he became a feral cat and has recently learned to meow again, I am very proud of Borris

we have a fancy breed cat who is very slinky and runs around the house and jumps in our fridge and meows all weird and also wrecks shit by jumping places she should not be she has a routine at 5am every day she gets the zoomies, her name is interloper or lopey for short

We have this Norwegian forest cat who sometimes comes in and eats all the food and also ripped a whole in the dry food bag his name is beast his paws are far far too large

(Unfortunately I cannot find a photo of him, he is like a cryptid in my household)

and finally we have our actual cat hugo he is my precious baby boy and he hates cuddles but I love him so dearly

(He looks especially baby boy there, he is really old for a cat he’s two years younger than me)

I love that all of the dungeon meshi crew are complicated and have difficult to love components.#But Izutsumi is a particular kind of hard to love. I foresee a lot of people being turned off by her abrasiveness and lack of teamwork.#She is very self-centered and openly goes against what the party agrees on.#She's a picky eater in a story that is 50% about eating good and healthy food!#It is in part about her growth but admittedly even *then* she remains rather true to her self-centeredness.#Even though she isn't as nice or funny or compassionate as the others...Izutsumi is still someone worth loving.#Even the more difficult people are someone worth loving.#And those people in turn are people who have something and someone they love.#She may be a girlcat but she is the most human of them all.#I hope that if you are an anime only watcher and are feeling put off by her at the moment; you'll give her a chance.#By the way: *yes* I worked very hard to draw that skateboard pose. It was worth it.#EDIT: HAPPY 500th POST OF POORLY-DRAW-MDZS!!! What a comic to commemorate the milestone with!

So I got into dungeon meshi and i’ve been telling everyone who I talk to. I love everything about the world, characters, the art, etc.

BUT

People are not kidding when they say that senshi will manifest in your head to tell you to eat better. Like I have a hard time remembering to eat but my brain would be like “you haven’t eaten in some hours, you need a meal” and I would be like you’re very right internal senshi I’m gonna see what I can make. Then I make food??? Honestly Gods sent senshi for helping so many people eat better

i used to be so good at writing strong, thoroughly-researched, thoroughly-edited essays.

as a kid in hs, my teacher literally came up to me, holding my 40 page essay on the intersection of the European witch hunts and capitalism/exploitation/gender roles (it was supposed to be 7 pages...whoops) and went like "this is literally a master's-degree level thesis. what are you doing?? you could literally use this as your final dissertation in a master's program, what the fuck."
