Hiiiii! So, if Santino and John got married, what would that be like? What would they both wear? Would they be excited for a big wedding, or would they want it to be small and private? Would it be on the beach, in a church, etc.? What would the color theme be? Obsessed with their love story! 💖
Ahhhh beautiful! I love talking about their wedding and I have some scenarios for it!
Since I was at the beach today and had a great time, it inspired me to write about wedding at the beach :)
Santino loves going to the beach, he has a nice childhood memory of it. It's comforting to him, the overall vibe there. Ever since John learned that about Santino, he takes him to beach whenever Santino wants, to cheer him up, to take his mind off his work or his worries, on little dates, etc. So, the beach is Santino's comfort place.
Their wedding would be more private with only their families (well, Santino's family, Gianna and maybe some of their relatives) and closest friends (like Winston, Charon, Ares...). Santino doesn't want the High Table to be involved in this, so it's supposed to be a secret wedding. Although, in their world, they won't be able to hide that for too long. But yeah, on the beach, surrounded by people who actually care for them.
Now, I'm not an expert at weddings but it would still be very fancy even though it's on a beach. They would even have tables outside for the celebration after the wedding. I think the wedding would start in the afternoon, so let's say still during day and then the sunset would look beautiful and the party and celebration starts around that time and lasts all night.
Okay, they would be dressed absolutely beautiful like they always are. Any suit they have on look amazing on them. Hmm, either both have the black suits, or maybe Santino would have a blue suit, kinda similar to the one he was wearing in the movie at the celebration. But obviously a suit that's for weddings (idk men wedding suits that much but I love to look at them bahaha). Fancy suits. I hope they won't sweat too much in all those layers :P
For example, something like this, there's so many nice suits on Pinterest it was hard to chose even for just an example
Color theme, hmmm probably like... blue- ish, but during night bc of the lights and everything the more, what I like to call, warm colors such as orange. That's mostly bc of the lighting tho, I think the theme would be with blue color. Or there wouldn't be any color theme lmaoo (depends on Santino's mood).
The lights I'm talking about, example:
Oh they would be both nervous. Like, anxious and just "don't screw this up" mindset. But they literally can't screw it up, it's their wedding, they just want everything to be perfect. Especially Santino. And he tries to remain calm, he looks like he has everything under control to everyone, but he can't fool few people. Ares and Gianna can see right through him. He doesn't want John to see him like this, bc John can also read him easily. However, once he's there with John, he forgets about his fears and anxiety and just relaxes and welcomes the new happy feeling he thought he would never be able to experience.
BONUS, Dog is there with a little bow tie looking adorable and being a great support :3
Overall, their wedding is beautiful and emotional. And well, their honeymoon... wild, but full of emotions. Hot steamy night Yk yk :P
Thank you so much for this beautiful ask! Feel free to ask more :] <3

Not to start shit, if you know me you know I'm a "ship and let ship" kinda gal and saying this I truly have no problem with James/Orla as a ship it harms no one and plenty of people like it, I like people having fun... that said...
I have never understood the common argument that James/Erin as a ship makes no sense and James/Orla should have been the ship instead. Often one of the arguments is that James/Erin wasn't set up while James/Orla was and I'm sorry... what? James/Erin have at least one ship heavy episode each season as well as plenty of background moments and several significant moments in Erin's Diary.
Even if you ignore all the background moments of the two holding hands, being inside each others personal space, the times where they're clearly matching and whatnot. There is at LEAST the implication that Erin would ignore her supposed crush for James, that she cares what he thinks, that Erin is James's type, that they're aligned in creative values and match each others energies, that Erin thinks he's handsome, that James thinks she's beautiful, that she can't imagine her life without him, etc.
James/Orla have some touchy moments... that's kinda all they have as far as romantic coding and I don't see how those two hugging in the Season 2 finale is somehow more significant than what setup James/Erin have throughout all the seasons.
Honestly, while I can see Orla liking James - you could build a case for it and convince me even though I see Orla as ace/aro in my own personal headcanons... no one has ever been able to give me a convincing argument for James liking Orla back. It kinda feels like you have to ignore that he never has a reason to fancy Orla back and just project onto him that.
Which, again, go off if that's your bag I think their friendship is fun and I could see making a ship out of it, but the common argument is that the SHOW makes a better case for James/Orla and like, no? No it really doesn't? It's just not main girl/main boy and some people really don't like that trope or Erin as a main and I think that if you say the show didn't set up James/Erin well and you argue the show would have been better with James/Orla based on what's in the show, you just might not like Erin very much?
I've also never been able to make sense of the argument that James/Erin is somehow the trope that 'guys and girls can't just be friends' like, is that not also James/Orla? Y'know, besides that Orla isn't a girl. They do use she/her during the show time period though and some people who argue this think Orla is a girl, they just think they're not THE girl. So somehow it's better even though it's the same thing.
Basically what I'm saying is that shipping is fun and we all oughta do it. Every ship besides the obvious ones is potentially fun and I'm down for it, but there is one ship the show was setting up and we all know what that ship was and I think it would be better if we all were honest about it.
PS: "James was gay the whole time!" Truthers, if you made it through this post somehow I'd like to offer a compromise: James Maguire is the most bisexual coded male character in media history we can all win here.

"But then I realised that the things that interested me and brought me joy terrified and hurt everyone else."
I always wondered why Durin died in such a relatively good mood but Elynas' words make it make more sense. It's not that Venti's music kinda hypnotised him to make him stop attacking Mondstat; it's that he was just playing the whole time. Unfortunately, his idea of playing terrified and hurt the populace.
It's also interesting that Elynas has the potential to be brought back to life despite being an entire literal pile of bones. But it begs the question of what death is, if it is not a true death. What is it that makes his bones and his being remain, when all the small things we kill turn to dust? Why does Durin's heart still beat? Is Durin the mountain, now? Is the reason Dragonspine is so dangerous that, even now, he does not understand his own strength?
